Study Days at Hogwarts
#1816 - Teach children
"Potter has spotted the Golden Snitch!"
A high-pitched voice came from the commentator's booth. The commentator from Gryffindor grabbed the microphone, climbed onto the platform, and shouted, "I'm willing to bet that Potter, riding the Firebolt, will definitely break Anderson's undefeated legend!"
"Quick, look, Anderson is catching up! She's accelerating! How could that antique possibly keep up with the Firebolt? That's... Oh my god, how is this possible! Anderson's broom is actually faster than the Firebolt!" The commentator's voice was filled with despair, and he couldn't control his emotions as he screamed, "Is Anderson using the legendary Supreme Firebolt?"
While Alice accelerated to overtake James, not only was the commentator outside the field stunned, but even the audience watching the game on the Quidditch pitch was shocked by the fierce chase on the field.
All the players stopped and watched the distant contest that would determine the outcome of the game.
Once upon a time, when Alice first entered the game, some people laughed at her for getting the position through connections, some laughed at her poor Quidditch skills, and some laughed at her for using an antique broom to compete.
And the result?
That heroic and handsome young girl rode her flying broom, casually caught the Golden Snitch, and also took away last year's Quidditch House Cup.
The various houses, utterly defeated, no longer dared to talk nonsense.
"Look, Anderson's broom is still accelerating! She's about to surpass James."
"It's over, Anderson succeeded! She caught the Golden Snitch."
Just as the commentator was yelling loudly, Alice, diving down with James Potter, stretched out her arm, which was longer than James's, and grabbed the Golden Snitch first, then rose from the ground, like a sharp blade piercing the sky.
Alice held up the Golden Snitch in her hand, accepting the cheers of the audience.
"Damn it! It was so close."
"If only Potter's hand was longer."
"Why does Anderson always win so easily, like eating and drinking? That guy clearly doesn't participate in Quidditch training much."
There was always some noise on the field, but it didn't affect people's blessings for the victor, especially since the winner was a beautiful girl.
Some people were happy, and some were lonely.
James originally thought that with the Firebolt inherited from his father, he would be able to defeat Alice, the big sister, with the advantage of speed, but he didn't expect to be defeated like this, which really hit James hard, and he lowered his head dejectedly.
"That was great, Alice! You didn't see the expressions on those people's faces, it was wonderful."
Daphne gave Alice a big hug after Alice finished hugging her teammates, and shared the interesting things she had just seen with Alice.
Alice was very popular at school, and there were always a large number of supporters around her.
But there were those who liked her, and those who hated her.
"Don't be so rude."
Alice knew what Daphne was about to say. Her eyes passed through the crowded people and saw the dejected James, but her attention was quickly drawn back by the conversation beside her ear.
"Is your broom the legendary Supreme Firebolt?"
A reporter from the Hogwarts Weekly ran over to interview Alice.
"Are you an idiot? The Supreme Firebolt just came out this year!"
"I don't think so." Alice said gently, "This is the flying broom my father used to use. It's been around since I had memories."
"Last year, after hearing that I was planning to join the Ravenclaw Quidditch team, my father gave me his broom, so I don't know what model of flying broom this is."
Alice had asked Albert about the broom a long time ago, but she didn't plan to share this secret with others.
"I dare say this flying broom is definitely the work of Mr. Anderson, that's why it has such amazing performance!"
After becoming Alice's best friend, Daphne was also fortunate enough to glimpse a corner of it, knowing how powerful Albert was.
As far as Daphne knew, Alice had another wand that she had used since she was a child, which was also specially made by Mr. Anderson. It was much stronger than the wands bought from Ollivander's shop, although Alice had never used it since she went to school.
Albert Anderson, as the most legendary figure in history, is shrouded in a mysterious mist that makes people unable to see clearly.
Nowadays, many wizards believe that Albert is an even more remarkable wizard than Dumbledore in the past (he is gradually improving the lives of wizards in his own way).
On the way back to the castle, Alice saw James alone.
"You guys go first!"
Alice said to the others.
"You should work hard."
Alice ruffled James's messy hair like an older sister, "When you step onto the Quidditch World Cup stage, that broom will be yours."
James was so surprised by Alice's words that his eyes widened.
Not only her, but even Daphne, who stayed to eavesdrop, didn't expect that Alice would actually plan to give the broom to a stranger.
"Then what about you?" James couldn't help asking.
"I don't plan to become a Quidditch player anyway." Alice said with a smile, "Flying brooms are more suitable for flying in the sky, rather than being put there as decorations and gathering dust, so my father gave me the broom to use, and you are his godson, so you can naturally inherit it."
"Can I really?"
"Not now, you have to hone your skills first, don't let it be covered in dust."
"Are you really going to give the broom to that kid?" Daphne couldn't believe it.
"Consider it a coming-of-age gift for him!"
Alice was noncommittal. Albert was always very generous, and if he really wanted it, he could just make another one. The reason for not making a new broom was simply because he felt that the current broom had more commemorative value.
"After all, James used to ride that broom to learn!"
"His father is also an unreliable guy, so during the time Albert stayed in Avalon, James, as his godson, also received his father's guidance with us."
"Saying it's guidance is not as good as saying it's playing. During the play, he learned things by the way."
"If Mr. Anderson could come to Hogwarts to teach, that would be great!" Daphne really wanted to meet that legend, but unfortunately the probability was not high, because he is currently traveling around the world.
"Don't be silly, how could someone like him obediently come to school to teach?"
Alice knew that her father was not even interested in being the headmaster.
How could a guy like him, who lives such a free life, be willing to take the initiative to walk into a cage?
