Study Days at Hogwarts
#1811 - Memoirs
Alice had never been to King's Cross Station in London, nor had she had the opportunity to see Platform 9¾ with her own eyes, but she had read the "Hogwarts Memoirs" (unpublished) compiled by Albert since she was a child. She knew what that platform meant to most new students, and she understood why Miss Hermione did not use Apparition, a simpler and more convenient method, to take the three of them directly to Platform 9¾.
Therefore, Alice had a little expectation of passing through the wall between Platform 9 and Platform 10. In Albert's words, some things should be experienced personally, otherwise, it always feels like something is missing.
The next day, Alice got up early. After simply devouring the breakfast prepared by the house-elf, she took the equally excited Ian and Sophia, and took Albert's specially modified car to King's Cross Station without any obstacles.
"We have to go through the wall, but we can't let the surrounding Muggles notice." On the way to Platform 9¾, Hermione introduced the precautions to the three people around her.
"If someone sees it... I mean, there's no guarantee that everyone will be so careful!" Ian asked the doubts in his heart. They all knew that even if they were careful, mistakes were possible.
"During the start of each school year, employees from the Ministry of Magic are on duty, and they will help deal with various accidents, but we shouldn't cause them trouble." Hermione deliberately lowered her voice.
"Since this is the case, why not use the Disillusionment Charm?" Sophia was even more puzzled.
"For you, this is also a special experience."
After confirming that there was no one around, Hermione gently pushed Alice, who immediately pushed her luggage and jogged towards the wall between Platform 9 and Platform 10.
Although knowing it in advance made Alice lack some of the fun of the first experience, the scarlet Hogwarts Express train parked on Platform 9¾ still firmly attracted Alice's attention.
What made the girl a little disappointed was that it didn't rain today.
Albert complained in "Hogwarts Memoirs" that he would always encounter rainy days when going to Hogwarts at the start of each school year.
Next to the platform where passengers were parked, Hermione bent down and kissed Alice on the forehead, giving her final instructions: "Take care of yourself, remember to use the communication bookmark to keep in touch, and you can write to me if you need anything."
"I will."
Alice didn't refuse to let Hermione complete this process, turned her head to look at her younger brother and sister, "You must also take care of yourselves."
After speaking, Alice also kissed the foreheads of the two of them, and then pushed her luggage onto the Hogwarts Express in everyone's waving hands. She quickly found a separate compartment, opened the window near the platform and waved goodbye to the three people outside.
This was the first time Alice had traveled far away from home alone, but it didn't bring her too many emotions.
Calm!
There was no fluctuation in her mentality at all.
Probably because she had traveled around the world with her family when she was young.
Moreover, even if she had never really been to Hogwarts, Albert had never specifically told her these things, but he had never specifically concealed them either.
From the "Hogwarts Memoirs" left by Albert in the study, Alice knew everything.
She knew how new students were sorted into houses by the Sorting Hat, and she also knew how to be sorted into the house she wanted to go to.
Taking away the "Marauder's Map" attached to the "Hogwarts Memoirs", she could also use it to know most of the secret passages in the castle, and the entire castle would be unimpeded to her.
Honestly, this would make Alice lose a lot of fun, but she didn't care about it.
Combining the photos in the album left by Albert, it is not difficult to peek into a corner of that castle. The current Hogwarts has very few secrets to Alice.
This also led to Alice not having much desire to go to Hogwarts to study. She was more willing to stay with her family, travel around with them, and listen to Albert's teachings.
"Oh, of course, sit down."
Alice could easily see that the other party meant to make friends with her.
"My name is Daphne, Daphne Greengrass!" The blonde girl introduced herself.
"That Greengrass?" Alice was stunned for a moment, and asked curiously.
"Yes, that Greengrass, what about you?" Daphne asked knowingly.
"Alice, Alice Anderson." Alice introduced herself with a smile.
"That Anderson?"
Daphne blinked her curious big eyes, pretending to be surprised to meet a celebrity on the first day of school.
She actually came here specifically after hearing that Albert Anderson's daughter was here.
"Yes, that Anderson!" Alice nodded with a smile.
"I also bought a copy of 'Albert's Easy Meals', and even asked my family's chef to follow it. She said that Albert must be a gourmet who likes to travel around. There are many delicacies from all over the world in that book. Not only are the methods simple, but the taste is also good."
While speaking, Daphne took out a book from her suitcase and said eloquently: "However, my favorite is 'Albert's Life Hacks', but unfortunately I haven't learned the little magic tricks in the book yet, at most I can only make the matchsticks a little sharper..."
Alice Anderson was a little silent.
Yes, the reason why her father was most famous in the UK was not because he had killed the famous Dark Lord and led everyone to completely end the Second Wizarding War, but because he had published a book called 'Albert's Easy Meals' that was popular with countless wizarding families.
For the vast number of wizarding families who only eat to maintain their lives every day, this book teaching everyone how to quickly make simple and fast food was welcomed by the vast number of wizarding families as soon as it was published.
As for why it's called 'Albert's Easy Meals', Alice actually asked Miss Hermione, and the latter's answer was that she thought using Albert's name would make the book widely known as soon as it was published.
