Ron said irritably, "Open the door now!"
"The password has changed. You must answer correctly, or I won't open the door." The fat lady retorted without any politeness, "You've been here for four years, how come you're still as stupid as a first-grader?"
Ron lowered his head and remained silent for a moment, the anger and disappointment from being rejected surging in his chest like a hot current.
He suddenly roared without warning, "When did you change the password?! How could I possibly know?! Open the door right now!"
"Why are you yelling so loudly?" The fat lady put down the mirror in her hand with displeasure and glared at Ron.
"Can't you be a little nicer? Besides, this was changed by Professor McGonagall. If you're not happy, go find her!"
Just then, a familiar voice rang out: "Toad!"
Ron instinctively thought someone was cursing him, and he turned his head to glare angrily in the direction of the sound.
Then she realized it was Ginny who was speaking.
Ginny, seeing Ron's anger, quickly explained, "This is the new password."
“Yes, darling, it’s a toad!” The plump lady smoothed her newly tied Christmas headband as she turned forward.
Did Professor McGonagall already know about his predicament, and that's why she immediately changed the password?
Ron thought sadly.
Without a word, he went into the lounge, found an empty sofa, lay down, and closed his eyes tightly.
The embarrassing scene from just now kept replaying in his mind like a movie.
Ginny had originally planned to go back to her dorm, but seeing Ron like this, she changed her mind.
She walked over to Ron and asked in a low voice, "Are you alright, Ron?"
She tried her best to make her voice sound like she wasn't there to laugh at her.
Ron ignored her and just lay there like a corpse.
Seeing this, Ginny gently comforted her, "It's not that bad, it's normal for invitations to fail..."
Upon hearing this, Ron suddenly opened his eyes, stared at Ginny, and said sharply, "How did you know I invited Fleur! Who told you!"
"I...I was just watching from the sidelines." Ginny's eyes flickered as she struggled to suppress a laugh.
The incident occurred so close to the classroom of the Erudite Society, and it happened right after Levin's get out of class ended.
Just as Levin was cornered, she and Fleur came out of the classroom one after the other.
“It’s okay, all the boys who invited Delacour failed…it doesn’t matter if you’re one more,” Ginny continued to comfort her brother.
Ron caught a glimpse of Ginny's suppressed upturn at the corners of her mouth, and feeling utterly hopeless, he lay back down, ignoring her completely.
This younger sister wasn't such a troublemaker after all.
They just get less and less cute as they grow up.
Just then, the door was pushed open again, and Harry walked in, his face pale.
He looked around, his gaze sweeping across the lounge before finally settling on Ron in a corner at a distance.
Ginny sat down next to Ron and spoke to him softly, as if to comfort him.
"What's wrong, Ron?" Harry, eager to talk to someone, immediately went to them.
Ron looked up at the sound, revealing a face streaked with tears.
He gripped Harry's sleeve tightly, his voice choked with emotion, "Harry, you're finally here. I... I don't know what happened, I just acted impulsively..."
Harry sat down next to Ron and asked with concern, "What happened?"
Ginny tried to hide her laughter and interjected, "He... um... just invited Fleur Delacour to the ball with him."
She patted Ron's arm sympathetically, trying her best to appear somewhat sad.
"What's wrong with you?" Harry asked, puzzled.
"I really don't know how I could have done something so stupid!"
Ron was panting heavily, his voice filled with regret.
"I acted impulsively and completely lost my mind. I actually went and invited her. What was I thinking? There were so many people there, and everyone was staring at me. I must have lost my mind!"
Ron covered his face in pain.
"When I walked through the foyer, I saw her—she was standing there talking to Levin—and I suddenly couldn't control myself and went straight up to her and invited her out!"
His voice grew increasingly excited, and a flush rose to his face.
"But she just stared at me coldly, like I was a sea cucumber or something, and didn't bother to answer. Then I suddenly realized I was being a fool and ran away as fast as I could."
Looking at Harry and Ginny's expressions, Ron suddenly roared, "Alright, laugh if you want! Yes! I'm a toad trying to eat swan meat, are you satisfied now?"
Harry immediately replied, "No, Ron, I won't laugh at you."
He lowered his head, his eyes unfocused. "I failed too. I just went to invite Qiu, and she said she had already promised someone else, and she won't tell me who that person is."
Harry's voice was filled with disappointment and frustration, as if the whole world had collapsed.
Ginny, on the other hand, found it even harder to suppress her laughter.
She knew perfectly well what was going on.
The two people in front of them were rejected because of the same person.
Since deciding to make Levin her target, she suddenly awakened a sense of humor.
The girl was surprised to find that observing her troublesome older brother Ron and his savior companion's daily life was actually quite interesting.
Especially their close, almost toxic, friendship, their constant trouble-making and misfortune, and their love-hate relationship with the Malfoy trio are all excellent parts of the show.
To this end, Ginny even overcame the trauma of her first-grade experience and bought a diary to record the joyful daily life of the two intellectually disabled children.
This diary was very popular among her three friends, and each update was eagerly read and circulated among them.

Chapter 337 Hibiscus's Invitation
Ron had no idea what his troublesome sister was thinking.
Upon hearing about Harry's ordeal, he immediately felt a sense of shared suffering:
“This is absolutely ridiculous,” he complained loudly. “Are we the only two left without a dance partner? You’re supposed to be a brave warrior, and you can’t find one? Who would believe that?”
Just then, Hermione walked in from outside the lounge, carrying the latest version of the Book of All Laws.
She had just finished teaching Levin a class as a teaching assistant and was covered in sweat.
I'm currently planning to change my clothes and then go back to the tower to study the golden egg.
Hermione quickly spotted the three people in the corner and asked in confusion:
"Ginny, what are you doing here with those two?"
She glanced at Harry and Ron and noticed that something seemed off about them.
"What happened to them?"
"I'm here comforting them. As for the two of them..."
Ginny glanced at Harry, whose eyes were filled with despair.
"The two of them are sharing their sorrows here—they both invited the girl to the dance, but were rejected!"
Harry immediately fell silent.
“Thanks a lot, Ginny,” Ron said sarcastically. “You’re so thoughtful. Should we write a note and post it on the bulletin board?”
"You're welcome!" Ginny raised her chin, unconcerned.
"Are all the pretty girls already booked, Ron?" Hermione teased. "Weren't you obsessed with finding beautiful women?"
She sighed and said with feigned regret, "What a pity, even Eloise has become so charming, but she's already taken."
"But it's okay, I believe you will find someone somewhere who will accept you."
Hermione suggested, "Perhaps... you could try inviting Pansy? Oh, too bad she's already accepted Malfoy's invitation. You've missed out on another 'perfect' girl."
Ron stared at Hermione, seemingly scrutinizing her with a completely new perspective.
"Hermione, you're right. I shouldn't have judged you by your appearance... In fact, you're quite nice too."
“Oh, what keen observation!” Hermione laughed sarcastically. “So what?”
"Then you can choose one of us!"
Hermione looked at Ron in confusion, then chuckled coldly, "What nonsense are you talking about? Have you lost your mind?"
"Hurry up," Ron said impatiently. "We need dance partners. It would be so embarrassing if everyone else had one and we didn't..."
“Yes, but what do your pride have to do with me?” Hermione said haughtily. “Besides, I already have a dance partner!”
“No, you didn’t!” Ron said immediately. “I know, you definitely want to go with Levin! Girls are lining up to ask him out, I just saw Delacour asking him out in the foyer. Levin will definitely choose Fleur, anyone would! She’s so beautiful!”
"Really?" Hermione's eyes flashed with a frightening light upon hearing this, but she still insisted, "Ron, of course I know Fleur likes Levin, but that's nothing, because he already invited me!"
After saying that, she stormed out of the lounge.
“She’s lying,” Ron said expressionlessly, watching her retreating figure.
“She didn’t,” Ginny whispered in defense. “Their relationship is much better than you think. In fact, even if they haven’t officially announced it, their relationship is no different from that of a boyfriend and girlfriend.”
At this point, a hint of barely perceptible jealousy crept into Ginny's voice.
"After the ball was announced, Levin quickly invited Hermione, and she already had a dance partner from the start. Ron, what nonsense were you spouting? It was absolutely stupid!"
“Okay,” Ron said, looking completely bewildered.
“This is getting more and more ridiculous. Ginny, you can go with Harry, and I can invite Luna…isn’t she your best friend?”
“I can’t,” Ginny said, her face flushed red. “Someone has already agreed to dance with me.”
“As for Luna… forget it, she wouldn’t even look at you,” Ginny said bluntly.
She didn't mention that Luna had also been invited by someone.
Ron glared at his sister.
“I think I need to go find Luna.” Ginny stood up, lowered her head, and walked toward the hole behind the portrait.
