Sophia glanced at her father and then sighed deeply.

"Humanity's enemy is not the monsters that live in the same world as us, but those beings who truly want to destroy this continent."

"It is the witch of desire, Lilith. She is the only enemy."

The moment the name was uttered, the air in the hall seemed to freeze.

Lilith is a household name on the Starfall Continent.

She is the Vatican's archenemy, an indelible nightmare in everyone's heart.

Vlad's expression changed slightly, but he quickly recovered.

"Lilith?"

"That's the Vatican's business. What does it have to do with me? I'm just a minor count. I can't manage such big things. All I know is that my mine is gone, and my money is gone. Someone has to take responsibility for all of this."

Looking at his face, twisted with greed and anger, Sophia's last bit of patience wore thin.

"So, you're determined to arrest me?"

"Hmph! I'm not arresting you."

Vlad corrected.

“We are acting in accordance with the law. You colluded with demons and harmed the interests of the empire, which is a serious crime.”

After he finished speaking, he turned to look at Morey beside him.

"Morey, take her down."

Upon hearing this, the middle-aged man in the gray robe nodded and then walked to face Sophia.

Morey was probably in his forties, thin, and with a gloomy face.

He is a bronze-level mage kept by Count Vlad, specializing in wood-attribute magic.

In a small place like Kyle City, bronze-level combatants are already considered top-tier.

Morey walked up to Sofia and looked her up and down.

"Little girl, I advise you to surrender. I don't want to hurt you."

Sophia glanced at him, then crossed her arms.

"Give it a try?"

Seeing Sophia's posture, Morey stopped talking and raised his right hand, a ball of dark green light shining in his palm.

The next second, dozens of thick thorny vines sprouted from the ground and wrapped around Sophia.

Sofia's face remained expressionless.

She didn't even move her feet; she simply raised her right hand and made a light sweeping motion in the air.

A cyan wind blade shot out, cleanly severing the thick thorny vines.

Morey's pupils contracted.

He never expected that this little girl could sever his thorny vines with a casual gust of wind.

He knew better than anyone how strong those vines were; they couldn't be cut down even with an ordinary iron sword.

"He does have some skill."

Morey muttered to himself, but his hands didn't stop moving.

He formed a complex hand seal with his hands, and dark green magic surged wildly.

The ground began to shake violently, and vines several times thicker than before burst forth from the soil.

This time, instead of entangling, they pierced Sofia like green spears, moving at lightning speed.

But Sofia still didn't move.

She simply raised her right hand, palm facing forward, and a cyan magic circle appeared out of thin air in front of her.

The moment those vine spears struck the magic circle, they were as if they had crashed into a high-speed meat grinder, and were completely shredded.

Morey's expression finally changed.

He used seventy percent of his strength, yet he still couldn't break through the opponent's defense.

He thought to himself: This girl's magical power is on a completely different level from his.

How can there be such a big difference between two bronze-level classes?

Sofia's voice came from behind the wind wall.

Is this all you've got?

"If that's all you're capable of, then it's my turn."

As soon as she finished speaking, she removed the wind barrier and raised her right hand.

This time, two completely different lights shone simultaneously in my palm.

His left hand was crackling with violent purple lightning.

A blazing flame leaped in his right hand, instantly distorting the surrounding air with heat.

The knights in the hall instinctively took a step back.

Sofia waved her left hand, and three thick purple lightning bolts shot out from her palm, skimming the ground and rapidly reaching Morey's feet.

The Razer exploded, transforming into a dense electric grid that enveloped Morey within a three-meter radius.

Before Morey could react, he was struck by lightning, his body convulsing violently, his robes charred in several places, and his hair standing on end.

"what!"

Morey immediately let out a scream.

But he quickly gritted his teeth and forcefully activated his magic, causing several vines to sprout from his feet in an attempt to protect himself.

Sophia has already shown mercy; otherwise, this guy would be dead for sure.

Unfortunately, just as the vines sprouted, Sophia's flames from her right hand arrived.

Flames erupted, slamming into the vine shield and instantly turning it to ashes.

The intense heat continued unabated, brushing past Morey and burning half of the sleeve of his robe.

Morey grunted and staggered back several steps, half of his body numb, unable to activate his magic any longer.

The hall fell into a deathly silence.

No one could have imagined that a twelve-year-old girl not only knew wind magic, but could also control two completely different attack attributes, lightning and fire.

This is not the strength one would expect from a bronze-level player.

Sofia didn't stop. She withdrew the flames from her right hand and made a grasping motion in the air towards Morey.

The air around Morey suddenly froze, and he felt as if he were being gripped by an invisible hand, unable to move.

It's not that it's a constraint, but rather that the air itself has become a cage.

He struggled a few times, but found he couldn't break free at all.

"How could you be so strong? Who exactly are you?"

His voice was trembling.

However, Sophia did not answer, but turned to look at Count Vlad.

"Your Excellency, are you sure you want to continue?"

Vlad stood beside the head of the table, his expression a truly fascinating sight.

He had planned everything, but he never expected this little girl to be this strong.

Morey, his strongest fighter, was no match for him at all.

But he couldn't back down.

He is an Imperial Earl, the Lord of Kyle City. If he backs down in front of a twelve-year-old girl, how will he ever face anyone again?

"Don't be so smug."

Vlad's voice was still strained.

"So what if you can defeat Morey? Can you defeat the entire Knights? Can you defeat the powerful warriors sent by the Empire?"

Sophia looked at him, remained silent for a few seconds, and then sighed.

"Your Excellency, you still don't understand?"

"Understand what?"

"I am not your enemy."

Sophia's gaze fell on his face, and she spoke slowly and deliberately.

“I never intended to oppose you; I was just doing what I believed was right.”

"As for your mine, as I said, it wasn't intentional. I just wanted to help her find a new home, and the ore just happened to be in that area. If you insist on finding someone to take responsibility, you can go to the Empire and have them compensate you."

Vlad opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but found that he couldn't say anything.

Sofia's words were all reasonable.

But he couldn't swallow his anger.

"You put it lightly."

His voice was low and suppressed.

"Imperial compensation? Why should the Empire compensate me? Those ores are the lifeblood of my city, Kyle. Once they're gone, they're gone. You want me to go to the Empire? Do you think the Empire cares about the life or death of a mere earl?"

Sophia looked at him and suddenly smiled.

"So you're just putting all the blame on me? Because I'm easy to bully?"

Chapter 46 It's hard to be a good person.

After saying this, Sophia walked towards Count Vlad with a fierce expression.
