However, it only cut his skin; due to the angle and the nature of his defenses, Holm's longsword did not cause him any further damage.

"No matter how special you are, you can never defeat me, because I am the future!"

Dr. Lizard used his thick tail to shake off Holm's continued attack, while simultaneously retracting his right hand and forcefully tearing the venomous tentacles that were binding his arm.

Hearing Dr. Lizard's confident and high-spirited words, Holm sneered, "Your dream is impossible to realize."

As he finished speaking, Dr. Lizard heard another series of electronic sounds coming from the Canary Device not far behind him.

"Program execution has been paused... Program has started... Reloading... Countdown continues... 1 minute 20 seconds..."

This series of electronic sounds made Dr. Lizard turn his head in surprise.

Beside the Canary Device, Spider-Woman, dressed in a black and white uniform, was crouching. The green lizard reagent in the Canary Device had been replaced with a blue one.

In addition, there were several more identical blue reagents in the backpack next to her.

In an instant, Dr. Lizard realized that he had been tricked by Holm and Spider-Woman.

Holm was just there to get his attention, while Spider-Woman was the real culprit in ruining his plans.

With only 1 minute and 20 seconds left on the countdown, and his lizard reagent already replaced, his plan to evolve the entire city of New York would be ruined if he couldn't reinstall it within those 1 minute and 20 seconds.

"Damn it!!! How dare you...!!!"

Dr. Lizard roared, his anger at being fooled and the possibility of his plans being ruined instantly igniting what little reason he had left.

The wildness and killing intent in his eyes rapidly expanded, his armor plates became even darker, and even the sharp claws on his claws grew several centimeters longer.

"Roar!!!"

Dr. Lizard immediately roared and charged towards Spider-Woman's location.

But before he could take a step, countless black tentacles had already wrapped around his arms and legs. Many of the sharp tentacles were like living things, piercing his skin and constantly penetrating into his flesh.

Holm jumped up from the ground, his hands transforming into two sharp blades, which he plunged directly into the back of Holm's neck.

“Where do you think you’re going? Our battle isn’t over yet,” Holm said to the Lizard Doctor with a sinister smile.

As he plunged the blade into the back of Dr. Lizard's neck, blood tinged with a greenish glow spurted from the wound and landed on Holm's face. Combined with the smile on his face, it made him look somewhat insane.

"Roar!"

Faced with Holm's confinement and attacks, Dr. Lizard roared with wide eyes and slammed his back against the elevator shaft on the rooftop, causing Holm to come into close contact with the elevator shaft.

His anger seemed to amplify his strength and power, and Holm could feel that he was finding it increasingly difficult to restrain the Lizard Doctor.

Finally, as Dr. Lizard's arms and legs swelled up again, he broke free from the venom's tentacles and swung his sharp hands to stab Holm behind his back.

Seeing this, Holm jumped off his back, dodging his hands while stepping on his head, sending him crashing into the elevator shaft.

Then Holm landed lightly on the ground, switching places with Dr. Lizard and making Dr. Lizard even further away from the Canary Device.

With a soft beeping sound, Holm also heard the Canary Device enter its final minute countdown.

Once this minute is up, all of this will be over.

Chapter 46, The Last Minute

With a loud bang, Dr. Lizard pulled out the elevator shaft and hurled it at Holm.

Seeing the elevator hurtling towards him like a meteor hammer, Holm quickly retreated, letting it crash down in front of him.

"Crack!" The elevator crashed to the ground, not only deforming itself but also creating a deep crater in the floor slab.

It's clear that Stark Tower was built with high-quality materials; if it were an ordinary building, this alone would have created a hole in it.

As the elevator was embedded into the floor slab, Holm jumped up on the elevator, then ran a few steps along the taut steel cable, and with both hands he formed a wider and sharper giant blade and slashed at Dr. Lizard.

The black blade still gleamed coldly in the dim moonlight, and Dr. Lizard confidently reached out a hand to grab the giant blade.

He believed his defenses were impenetrable; even if the strange knife could cut through his skin, it couldn't pierce his bones.

Unfortunately, things didn't turn out the way he expected. Holm's powerful slash cleaved his hand in two, then landed on his shoulder, severing his entire right arm.

“I remember you didn’t have a left arm before, right? Now that’s perfect, you can try what it feels like to not have a right arm.” Holm grinned at the angry Dr. Lizard.

"Damn it!!! I'm going to kill...!!!" Before the furious Dr. Lizard could finish speaking, a large clump of spider silk shot out from the side, covering his mouth and forcefully pulling his head back.

At the same time, another spider web stuck to his remaining left arm, preventing him from tearing it off with his hands. During the fight between Holm and Dr. Lizard, Spider-Woman, who had already changed the reagent, had somehow circled around to Dr. Lizard's side and rear.

Dr. Lizard still had his thick tail to move, but Venom didn't give him a chance. It used its sharp tentacles to tear open his skin, burrow into his flesh, and pin the tail firmly to the ground.

Seeing that Dr. Lizard's movements were briefly restrained, Holm did not hesitate and immediately turned his hands into sharp blades, stabbing them directly into Dr. Lizard's neck.

Even though Dr. Lizard hurriedly raised his newly grown, ill-fitting right hand to try and block it, the blade still pierced through the hand along with the remaining section.

Blood tinged with green flowed continuously from Dr. Lizard's neck, soaking Holm's sharp blades.

Holm tried to twist his hands to break the Lizard Doctor's head off, but the Lizard Doctor gritted his teeth, tensed his muscles, and endured the immense pain, trapping his sharp blades in his neck, rendering him unable to move.

"You! Can't kill me!" A hoarse voice came from between the lizard doctor's clenched teeth, the spider silk on his mouth already torn by his sharp teeth.

He stared intently at Holm, who continued to twist his arms with all his might, his wild, yellow eyes gleaming.

As Dr. Lizard spoke, the wounds on his neck from which Holm's hands were still stuck stopped bleeding, and the spider silk that had been pulling on his left arm began to weaken under the strain of the two sides.

"How can this ugly monster's healing ability be so outrageous! He's still alive even with a knife stuck in his neck?!" Venom's incredulous voice echoed in Holm's mind.

Holm, with the same question in mind, continued to increase the force, trying to loosen his hands which were stuck in the muscles.

The healing abilities of ordinary lizardmen were already outrageous enough, but the healing abilities of Dr. Lizard were even more exaggerated.

Moreover, it's not just his healing ability; judging from various data, Dr. Lizard has seriously deviated from conventional understanding.

In the realm of ordinary living beings, what creature can hold a knife stuck in its neck with its muscles, let alone stop the bleeding and recover with the knife still stuck in its neck?

Just as Holm felt his power begin to overpower Dr. Lizard, his hands were able to move again, and Dr. Lizard's wounds began to bleed once more, Spider-Woman's scream suddenly rang out.

"Watch out! My spider silk is about to give way to him!"

Gwen shouted to remind Holm while trying to shoot spider silk at Dr. Lizard's left arm, but by then Dr. Lizard's left arm had secreted some light green mucus, making her spider silk unable to stick at all.

More importantly, the scales on Dr. Lizard's skin began to stand up slowly, like tiny knives, gradually slicing through the spider silk she had been holding onto.

Just as Gwen's warning reached Holm's ears, the spider silk finally snapped. Before Holm could react, Dr. Lizard's freed left hand lashed out at Holm's chest, sending him flying.

Holm flew backwards and crashed into the floor slab not far away, smashing the already overburdened slab with holes and cracks once again.

Thick, black liquid was constantly flowing on his chest, helping to heal the deep, bone-revealing wound inflicted by the lizard doctor's sharp claws.

Not far away, as Dr. Lizard broke free of his webs and sent Holm flying, Spider-Woman quickly jumped in front of him, taking Holm's place and continuing the fight.

It will take a little while longer before the serum is successfully launched. We must not let Dr. Lizard get any closer to the device, and we must not allow any accidents to happen.

"Damn monster! You devil controlled by ambition and bestiality! Do you know how many people you've killed! How many lives you've lost, how many families you've torn apart!"

While fighting the lizard doctor, Gwen couldn't contain her anger and cursed at him.

"What a childish wall-climbing bug. No wonder you wear a mask and become a thankless, foolish hero." Dr. Lizard casually tore off a strand of spider silk, mocking Gwen at the same time.

"This world is cruel; for every person born, there is a person who dies. Rather than wasting your life for some ridiculous reasons, it is better to contribute to science and burn your passion to accelerate the arrival of a new era."

"They should thank me, because I gave them special value that was inconsistent with their ordinary lives, allowing their mundane lives to shine with the great light of science."

"Thanks to my experiments, they became the founders of a new era."

Dr. Lizard tossed Gwen away on a spider web, then, as if remembering something, said, "Speaking of which, out of all these experimental subjects, only one doesn't cry and whine like the others and become annoying."

“I remember him as a taciturn and timid student who wanted to be special, just like you, you wall-climbing bug.”

"It's a pity that his enlightenment came from you rather than from understanding how great my experiment was, but he's still different from those cowards."

"What was his name again? Let me think... Peter... Peck...it's Peter Peck, right..."

Chapter 47, Not a single detail can be missed!

"It's Peter Parker!" Faced with Dr. Lizard's attitude, Gwen could no longer remain calm and abandoned the attempt to entangle him, rushing towards him.

Seeing Gwen charging towards him, Dr. Lizard opened his mouth wide and let out a hoarse laugh, excitedly going to meet her.

"He's so kind! So outstanding!..." Gwen said through gritted teeth as she dodged the lizard doctor's claws, "It's all because of you!..."

Past memories flashed through Gwen's mind like a slideshow, finally settling on the scene of Peter losing his breath in her arms.

Sadness and anger filled Gwen's mind, causing her to clench her fists and, after dodging the claws once again, smash them directly at Dr. Lizard.

Dr. Lizard wasn't worried about the punch he was about to take. After all, even Holm's sharp blade couldn't hurt him, so how much damage could this little fist do?

So he didn't stop or defend himself, but instead prepared to take the punch while also teaching Gwen a lesson.

"Bang!" With a muffled sound, a look of surprise flashed across Dr. Lizard's ugly face, followed by a painful contortion. His massive, mountain-like body couldn't help but take a few steps back.

He underestimated this wall-climbing bug. No matter how hard he tried, he never imagined that Gwen's small body could have such enormous strength. The blow that just hit his waist and abdomen felt like a cannonball, not a fist.

As Dr. Lizard twisted his face and backed away, Gwen pressed her left shoulder, where blood was constantly flowing out, biting her lip and sweating profusely.

She was so enraged that she ended up trading blows with Dr. Lizard.

As her cannonball-like fist slammed into Dr. Lizard's abdomen, Dr. Lizard's claws also left several deep, bone-revealing wounds on her shoulder.

If her punches hadn't caused Dr. Lizard so much pain that he had to take a few steps back, her shoulder would likely have been slashed off by her claws.

Faced with this result, Gwen, who had regained her senses, bit her lip and broke out in a cold sweat, feeling extremely guilty.

She could have fought Dr. Lizard until the serum was released, but because of her irrationality, not only did she not have enough time to stall for time, but she was also left with such serious injuries.

Unlike Gwen's injuries, Dr. Lizard's pain from being beaten was quickly relieved by his super healing ability. While Gwen was still clutching her wound to stop the bleeding and blaming herself, he had already recovered and charged forward again with wide eyes.

Seeing that Dr. Lizard's condition was almost the same as before, Gwen felt even more distressed and guilty. She sprayed her spider silk on the wound, which stopped the bleeding, and then stood up again.

“There are less than twenty seconds left. You sit down and rest. Leave this ugly monster to me. I already have a way to deal with him.” As Gwen struggled to her feet, Holm suddenly appeared behind her and, while speaking, made her sit on a backpack.

Before Gwen could say anything more, Holm rushed toward Dr. Lizard with the same backpack in hand.

Seeing that Holm had no wounds at all, Dr. Lizard was also a little puzzled. He remembered that he had just cut several large gashes on Holm's chest.

"Bang!" In the blink of an eye, Holm had already collided with Dr. Lizard again. This time, Holm had even more tentacles extending from his body, which blocked Dr. Lizard's attack once more with a more powerful and forceful posture than before.

"Not again! Is this all you can do?" Dr. Lizard roared as he forcefully pulled the tentacle that had wrapped around his arm once again.

Holm grinned upon hearing this, opened his backpack, and sneered, "Don't worry, the best is yet to come."

As he finished speaking, Holm forcefully crushed the two vials of serum he had taken out of his backpack. The blue reagent inside turned into a mist the moment it came into contact with the air and spread out, entering Dr. Lizard's body with his breathing.
