Ralph gave a playful smile.

"Silly girl."

"..." The proud being neither agreed nor disagreed with this title.

“You should learn to discern truth from falsehood and have your own opinions. You're still too weak; deep down, you're still that little girl.” Ralph chuckled. “You're too naive, a world apart from Lyle. After I swindled him out of twenty dinars, that boy has never trusted me again. Compared to my astute nephew, you're far inferior. Mr. Lyle Bühler has long since broken free from his elders' protection and become independent. Although I'm here to rescue him this time…”

Sylvie frowned unhappily, her eyebrows like raised guillotines, barely suppressing her irritation as she uttered the words.

"Are you sure you'll find a way to praise your nephew? You're such a protective wolf."

"Of course, that's my proud family member. He's above everything else in my heart... except for lovely Nia. She's my grandniece, the most dazzling treasure in the world."

The sudden greasiness of Ralf made Silvet uncomfortable; Degonris had turned into a basin.

"Why return this power to me? You already know how powerful it is."

"My pleasure."

"..."

“I can make my own choices according to my own will without this power. But you, if you lose this power, you are just a little girl.”

The ground beneath Silvitt's feet began to crumble, and she gave a helpless smile, as if she had reverted to being the flustered noblewoman she once was.

"Your name, your real name."

Looking into those beautiful eyes, Ralph repeated the beginning of the scam once again.

"Ralph Bouler, a sheriff from Cassandale."

Sylvie smiled, her body bursting with light. With a wave of her hand, she sent Ralf and Violet out of the collapsed outer perimeter of Drogonris, the girl's voice lingering in their ears.

"This embodiment of reason is merely a cage that binds reality. My true self has long been driven mad by Loshutar. It's a pity that I can no longer express my gratitude to you."

"Let me spread my wings and sing praises to your bravery with my resurgence, mortals."

Silvette took a step back and fell into the crevice.

“Engrave my name in your memory, little wolf cub, and see if your Mr. Buller is superior to me.”

A radiance, a purple light illuminating the night, erupted beneath the land of Drogonris.

Ancient voices proclaimed her resurgence, while rubble and storms celebrated her rebirth.

“I am a remnant of an era, a great orphan. I witnessed the end at the end of time, I watched over the twilight in the land of depravity. I harbor hatred and loathing, I have passed on the curse of my ancestors to this world, and now, I will raise my wings again, and make this world tremble once more at our roar.”

"I am the bound Twilight, the last descendant of the dragon!!!"

"Twilight Dragon, Sylvie!!!"

The colossal beast buried in the earth roared, its black wings unleashing a mysterious power that ignited flames and lightning. Its amethyst horn crown mirrored its eyes, and the dragon roared, announcing its awakening to the world.

Madness swept across the land in a burst of bright purple dragon breath, and the storm submitted beneath the flapping dragon wings.

Degonris was destroyed in the wrath of the mighty being.

A mad dragon escaped from the cage that bound her.

The two human sheriffs brushed the dust off their clothes, and Violet looked at Ralf with excitement.

"A dragon! Darling! We've actually met a dragon!"

Ralph straightened his clothes and touched his head.

"And then, oh, she burned my hat."

Ralph didn't dwell on it too much and turned to head towards the gloomy castle.

"The dragon that sealed the power has escaped. Our mission is complete. Let's go find Lyle."

Violet clung to Ralf's arm as they gazed at the crimson moon emerging from behind the clouds torn open by the dragon.

"Will we ever meet again, with Sylvie...?"

"No, can you imagine a dragon descending upon Narania, or picking its teeth with the Spire of Cassandra?"

"Pfft. I'm sure Sylvett would rather use you to pick his teeth."

"A pointless thought."

Violet and Ralf walked side by side on the gravel path, the moonlight illuminating the smooth stones, as if they were walking on starlight.

"May Mr. Ba Jin rest in peace."

"..." Ralf turned his head, and the moonlight shone on Violet's face, making her lips look luscious and tempting beneath her wine-red hair.

"Is your family's lying skills hereditary? Lyle's are, and so are you. When you want to lie, your eyes lose focus, and you recite your lies like puppets. Lyle can see through it easily, and so can you."

"Although your cold eyes are indeed a good disguise, they can't fool me who's been watching you the whole time."

"A wolf named Ralph will not dig up his friend's grave, even if he is a terrifying bastard, a lovable big bastard."

Ralph reached out and brushed his hair.

"I will improve this shortcoming."

"You can't change, you can't hide it from me, it will always be like this, I promise."

……

Two weeks ago, Cassandale was experiencing a downpour. The thick rain curtain blurred everything, and only a blurry outline could be seen five meters away.

At Cassandra Cemetery, a robust man stands before a grave, wearing a hooded leather robe, gazing at the rain-soaked tomb.

A tall shadow pierced through the rain and appeared beside him.

The torrential rain forced the two to raise their voices.

"Why are you here?" Ralph, soaked to the bone, looked at the man who had been standing in front of the grave for a long time.

“Perhaps you need a helper, or an accomplice.” Garrett, leaning on his shovel, bowed towards Ba Jin’s grave.

"You peeked into Ba Jin's belongings."

"No, but I can guess. Our old friend lived a solitary life, and he would never take anything of worthless value to his grave. Unless, of course, it is of great use to someone."

"The box contained the secret of the Philosopher's Stone and a note that insulted me. I peeked at it before burying him. He wrote on the box, 'Ralph and the dog are not allowed to open this.'"

"What did the note that insulted you say?"

Fuck you, Ralph.

"A clever dwarf, whose wisdom and body are two extremes; he is exceptionally intelligent, especially in irritating you."

"Truly intelligent people would not turn themselves into the Philosopher's Stone, so that they would not find peace after death."

“...Ralph, he guessed it. We can’t escape the past. You can’t escape the dark side. This is Ba Jin’s legacy.”

"I just came to visit. I'm going to another city soon, so I'll say goodbye to you all."

Ralph turned and walked into the rain.

“Ralph! You can’t betray Ba Jin’s kindness. The matter of the Philosopher’s Stone will be exposed sooner or later. Look around, only his grave is barren, the soil is dry, and the tombstone is broken. A miracle is buried in this grave, and no matter how hard I try to cover it up, it will eventually be exposed.”

"..."

"..."

"Armitach is a name built from the fear of the enemy."

"But I didn't get to where I am today because of the charity of my friends."

“I will act according to my own will. Violence and tyranny will not subdue me, nor will kindness and begging change me. Let Ba Jin’s aid rot in his grave.”

"Ralph will have the last laugh, without any external force, because I am Ralph."

"Expose? Then let him be exposed."

"I have already memorized the taste of Ba Jin."

"Those who dare to desecrate his remains, I will find them..."

"Friendly exchange."

Chapter 495 Fallen Angels

Ralf dealt with the angel, and he created a dream in Drogonris, in which a strange moon, fabricated by Ralf, hung in the sky.

The nights in Drogonris are inherently dark; the clouds in the sky seem to possess a magical power, lingering and never dissipating. There is no light on this vampire land.

However, just as Ralf used the power of the Twilight Dragon to twist Drogonris into a dream and raise the moon.

The real world.

The thick, dark clouds were savagely torn apart, revealing a black shadow descending from the sky. It pierced through the clouds and, bathed in the glow of the blood moon, crashed into the center of a swarm of bats. The black cloud formed by the bats was directly pressed to the ground.

The Fallen reverted to human form, their eyes bloodshot, their faces a mixture of surprise and fear, as they observed the center of the legion.

He was like a rooted plant in the earth, his shadowy roots spreading lazily around him, their raised tips like raised snake heads, sending a dangerous signal to the surrounding blood knights.

The twisting shadows spiraled upwards, building his throne. A gentle smile graced his handsome face, but on the other side, untouched by moonlight, in the shadows, a cracked mouth gleamed with arrogant bloodlust. Long, tattered bandages hung limply to the ground like the broken wings of an angel. The dark body devoured the light in the eyes of the onlookers, but the profound darkness could not extinguish the pair of burning flames within.

The screams continued; they were his warning, or the tolling of a death knell, or... simply a form of entertainment.

A shadowy arm hoisted a vampire knight high into the air, the shadow seeping into his pale skin, draining the last vestiges of color from his body. He screamed, struggled, and became skin and bones, then paper, then ashes, then nothingness.

In the heart of the Fallen Legion, a shadowy figure openly tortured a legion member.

"Hehehehe..."

"I've always been curious, what's left if you drain a vampire's blood?"

There's nothing there...

"Without blood, you are not even scum."

Insults and torture—even the proud and arrogant monster hesitated to advance in the face of such humiliation.

Duke Delawares appeared before the shadowy figure, took a deep breath, and called out his name.

“St. George…”

Darkness let out a maniacal laugh, laughing so hard it almost fell over in the center of the vampire world.
