Those guys who thrive on chaos and are considered the most legitimate chaotic forces in Andrei.

From the Literary Society.

Even after the members of the literary society transformed into imposters, they didn't stop, despite feeling hungry. As Raymond's most frequently used punching bags, they didn't dare to ask him to cook for them.

So, while others savored the delicious food, the literary society, with new bodies and new hunger, silently departed.

They survived the first riot of the Lich Bane.

This is not their good fortune, it is the misfortune of others.

Even when their appetite begins to dominate them, their steps forward remain unchanged.

As the most active group in Andrei's community activities, they know exactly how to best feed themselves.

The literary club imposters, with their scarlet eye sockets, returned to their department, passed through the dreamy bubble, and entered their fairytale-like mushroom house.

Yes, the literary society has its own unique food.

Because the Literary Society has Mr. Fungus Master, the best mushroom breeder, one of the members of the Salvation Society, and the supervisor of the society president, Mr. Dark.

"Welcome back, friends. How was the party? Was it fun?" Mr. Fungus wasn't surprised at all when his companions barged into his room, because the literary club members were all guys who liked to create surprises.

The imposter convulsed, and the neck connecting to his head twisted restlessly.

“Very interesting, Mr. Fungus Master, but what follows is even more interesting.” Completely abandoning his reason, the crazed Pretender pounced on the Fungus Master, plucked the fungal strains off his body, and stuffed them into his mouth.

The riot occurred within the literary society.

They were crouching on the ground, feasting. The bald Mr. Strawberry watched the imposters devouring the mushrooms, showing neither anger nor fear. In fact, those twin flames of soul energy were brimming with a sense of eager anticipation.

"Food...delicious...tasty...?"

The imposters, satisfied with their food, did not notice that their flesh and skin began to wither, and pale green mycelia peeked out from under the pores that were beginning to develop spots.

Ultimately, we were unable to conclude whether the imposter ate the mushroom or the mushroom ate the imposter.

Regardless, what emerged from the room again was a mushroom-like person, whose body was a fusion of flesh and blood, covered with fungal caps, and spewing spores.

Like zombies, they stretched out arms that were somewhere between animals and fungi, their pale cheeks embedded in the straight fungal stems, constantly wailing.

"Food...food...food...reproduction..." Deadly spores and hungry flesh merge into one, making eating, spreading and reproducing a whole.

A new army of mushrooms has emerged, their numbers undiminished. Spores and flesh have formed a symbiotic relationship, spreading the spores throughout Andri. Even for liches, mushroom flesh takes root in their bones, fueling their hunger and reproductive desires deep within their soul fire.

The bio-army of mushrooms represents the second wave of gluttony's disaster.

The vast army of mushroom people, far more powerful than the scattered clones, marched toward the bubble, about to leave the cage that bound them.

Andrei's balance was already in jeopardy, and just then, the deciding factor was introduced.

Darkness and emptiness formed a net that enveloped them.

“Turning my subordinates into these monsters, Master, you have truly enraged me.”

Darkness stood before the bubble, like a proud king in a play, breaking the seal, and the power of the void enveloped the mushroom army in the abyss.

Mr. Darkness's bandaged finger pointed precisely at the Mushroom Lord from among the myriad of mushroom-men in various poses.

"Do you have any last words before my judgment comes?"

Under Mr. Darkness's overwhelming power, the mushroom-like figures froze in place. The void that shattered everything could suppress the activity of the spores, and the literary club's long-standing chuunibyou performance seemed to have become an instinct, an instinct that transcended desire.

The bacteria advocated speaking out.

“Mr. Darkness, you’ve misunderstood me. I haven’t done anything to my friends; they’re still your subordinates. It’s just a minor change in appearance, and they’re even more obedient to you now.”

Just as he said, perhaps it was the spores' instinctive fear of Mr. Darkness, or perhaps the acting instincts of the literary club members were still present. One by one, the obese mushroom-like figures knelt down in unison before Mr. Darkness, chanting something.

"Lord of Eternal Night, End of the World, Our Dark Lord, Please Accept Our Worship!"

Mr. Darkness was stunned. These guys seemed even more obedient than usual. Normally, they would slack off and act hypocritically, and most importantly, when he and Raymond met, these guys would disappear like mice before a cat. It wasn't that their presence would be of much help, but at least they could offer some verbal support.

Seeing the mushroom people worshipping him, Mr. Darkness was filled with doubt. Were they really members of his literary society?

"Gentlemen, I now wish to extinguish the Holy Light. What are your opinions?"

The mushroom army rose up with a loud bang and stomped the ground in unison.

"We are the vanguard of darkness! The Holy Light will surely fall!"

Mr. Darkness almost cried with joy.

"Master! I misunderstood you! These are my people, the real deal, the most genuine members of the literary society!"

"The Dark Mushroom Army!!!!"

"By the Dark God!!!"

"Follow me, attack! Attack the Holy Light Chapel!!!"

"Aa ...

The warden has betrayed us! He's led the prisoners on a breakout!

A torrent of darkness surged through Andrei along with the night, and not a single lich was spared.

They were united in purpose and persevered.

They were determined to extinguish that ray of light.

Chapter 319 Raymond's Lich Followers

Ariane finished her prayers for the day. During the prayers, there were several loud noises outside the chapel, but she paid no attention. This was Andrei; peace was temporary, chaos was eternal, and she was already used to it.

The Silver Knight armor had long since been removed, and now Ariane had nothing left to hide; her family still supported her. She prayed for the merciful holy light to protect her family, though she didn't know if praying with a dead body was blasphemous.

The chapel was plunged into darkness today, and the little creatures called light bats had vanished without a trace. A bright holy light emanated from Ariane's palm, warming her with the pale flames of her soul.

"Today was just another ordinary day..."

This is of course impossible.

The spherical jewels atop the marble columns of the chapel radiated a sun-like light, instantly transforming the chapel into a dazzling spectacle. It gave one the illusion of being suddenly struck by lightning.

The one who could have caused this situation was naturally the bishop he followed.

Mr. Raymond is back.

The gate was rammed open as if by a siege engine, and Mr. Raymond, his body ablaze with holy flames, strode in.

"May the Holy Light bless you, my sister."

Ariane nodded slightly. "May the Holy Light be with you, Your Majesty Raymond." The flames burning on his armor made Raymond look... quite fiery. "Your Majesty Raymond, how did the academic gathering of the Plague Doctors go?"

"Of course it ended perfectly! Lyle is the purifier of holy light!"

Ariane was stunned for a moment. Your Purifier has already published a technical paper on modifying flesh and blood in the field of Deus ex machina.

"You seem very angry right now?"

Mr. Raymond sighed, recalling what had just happened.

After the riots at the academic gathering began.

Andrei's Demon of Light reminded those insatiable imposters what fear truly was. Feeling his mission accomplished, Raymond began his return to the Chapel of Holy Light.

As for the ensuing chaos, it's commonplace. It's just the Lich Bane, let them cause a ruckus. It'll be a good opportunity to boost the Plague Doctor's reputation. Liches worship power, and they especially worship power that can cause trouble. Creating chaos is an instinctual pursuit for liches.

Raymond nodded in satisfaction as the Pure One he had chosen thrived.

Raymond was delighted; in Andrei's darkness, he didn't notice what was behind him.

They were a group of imposters. They were hunched over, trembling, enduring and persevering, following Mr. Raymond step by step, like devout seekers of truth.

Raymond eventually saw them.

"I don't think the Plague Doctors' flesh and blood contained organs like gallbladders."

The leader of the imposters knelt down as Raymond swept his cold gaze over him.

His body was thin, sweat dripped down his cheeks, and his face had an unhealthy sheen. He was trying his best to suppress his desires, but his eyes, shining, were looking at Raymond.

Their bodies were intact, and their lips were clean.

Raymond was moved. What incredible willpower it took for these imposters to endure hunger!

The imposter spoke.

“Mr. Raymond, please forgive our shortsightedness. In the countless days and nights we spent with you, we were like blind men, ignoring your towering figure. Only now have we glimpsed the shadows behind you.”

"Mr. Raymond, please allow us to follow behind you and pursue that supreme light together!"

? ? ? ?

"These liches are going to follow me?" Raymond was once again astonished. Had they finally come to their senses and understood the warmth of the Holy Light? But they were liches, how could they have done that?

Raymond clapped his hands.

I understand now. It must be their incredible willpower to resist hunger that allowed them to break free from the constraints of their race and see the beauty of the Holy Light.

Have I finally succeeded in preaching the gospel?!

It's too early to get excited now; let's confirm again.

What do you want from me?

The imposter stared at Raymond with longing in his eyes, his eyes bloodshot.

"Lord Raymond, we beg you to teach us the true power, the power that can bring happiness to the world. After all, you are the pinnacle of this field. No! You are the god of skill!"

There's no mistake! The Holy Light is the most powerful force in the world, bringing happiness to all! And I, Merok Raymond, am the leader of the Crusaders, the most powerful paladin in the world! I am indeed the strongest of the Holy Light!!!

Raymond found his hands trembling, a surge of heat flowing through his chest. He was so excited he almost wanted to launch another crusade and conquer the world with Andrei's Holy Light Lich.

Raymond held the imposters' arms, supporting them, his words gentler than ever before.

“My compatriots, you are finally on the right track, and I am very pleased.”

“Yes, Lord Raymond, we have been lost for far too long.” Several of the imposters actually burst into tears of joy.

Raymond looked at these adorable liches.

“I will certainly share all my insights with you. However, this is a sacred task, and we must solemnly swear an oath under the holy light.”
