He issued a protest.

"I want to eat the Holy Light Steak!"

Mr. Raymond did not display the manners of a chef.

"Get lost! Get as far away as you can! We don't have Holy Light Steak, but do you want Holy Light's big slap?"

The lich then remembered that the top-tier chef's combat power was also top-tier, and scrambled away.

"Never mind, it's good enough that we have something to eat."

The lich grabbed the dumpling and threw it into his mouth.

Under the watchful eyes of a group of liches, he burst into flames. Like a campfire lit in the middle of the night.

Raymond had no intention of simplifying their holy energy. Even with safety precautions in place, the ball of holy light still managed to ignite the lich and, incidentally, turn him gold.

Just as the liches were debating whether he had died from burning at the stake or from indigestion, he stirred.

"Holy crap! This dumpling is so delicious! It's so hot! It's so hot! But it's so delicious!"

"Mr. Raymond! No! Papa Raymond! I want one more! Ten more! I can even eat the Holy Light's slap!"

Raymond watched in shock as dozens of towering torches of holy light rushed toward him.

Andrei's lich underwent a tremendous change due to its appetite.

Whenever the environment begins to change, initially, the main manifestation is chaos, massive chaos.

However, none of this mattered to Lyle. He had already returned to Nathran Castle with Ariana and was celebrating Ariana's rebirth with the women of Nathran.

Even if this chaos turns into a disaster, it will have nothing to do with him.

Chapter 316 The Lich Bane: Gluttony

Chaos engulfed Andre Academy.

In just one day, the roars emanating from within the executive committee were enough to make into an opera of shouts.

"All executors! Move out! Those guys are no longer our allies! They are locusts! A bunch of damned bastards! I want to see their blood splatter! I want to see their flesh torn apart! On sight, the Hungry Imposters, attack indiscriminately!"

In just one day, a new law was born.

The Hunger Pretenders Restriction Act, and the number of entries in this code is visibly increasing.

Article 1.

It is forbidden to eat the walls and soil of Andrei's buildings; they are not delicious!

Those liches who regained their hunger, after the initial pleasure, were overwhelmed by the ecstasy of consumption, which filled their minds and dominated their bodies like an addiction.

Eat, eat and eat! Food! Everything!

After Mr. Raymond withdrew, this rampant urge became even more terrifying. They no longer sought flavor; soil, they ate! Rocks, they ate! Brick walls, they ate!

In less than an hour, swarms of hungry imposters, like locusts, had spread to every corner of Andrei. They wore human clothes, but their hearts remained those of cold monsters.

Every area, as long as it was not protected by magic, was thoroughly plundered by them, and even the walls were licked clean.

Even though the executive committee had already broadcast throughout the entire academy that some things weren't tasty, these stupid liches still insisted on experiencing them for themselves.

"Holy crap, this tastes awful!" "Really? Let me lick it... Wow, so this is what lime tastes like. It's definitely not that good."

Article Two: Consuming light bats is prohibited!

Andre Academy entered its literal darkest hour. The lightbats huddled trembling in the corners of the upper floors of Andre Castle, afraid to emit even a ray of light, lest the mentally unstable imposters be drawn to them like moths to a flame. Fortunately, the lightbats' animal instincts hadn't vanished with their etiquette training, and so far, no casualties had occurred.

Lightbats are social creatures, and their bonds with each other are much stronger than those with liches. So, while the busy liches were still researching, the lightbats, who were illuminating the scene, were already watching the moving skeleton with bated breath, fearing that it would don human skin and reach out its claws at them at any moment.

This was the darkest day in Andrei's history.

Article 3: Eating one's own kind is strictly prohibited! You are not allowed to eat yourself!!

Cannibalism is a common practice among creatures like spiders and mantises, which have a tradition of eating their mates after mating. Even among animals, there are precedents of killing one's own kind and eating their carcasses.

From this perspective, it's not unacceptable...

What a load of ruby! For liches to be based on humans to eat each other is just ridiculous!

After a long period of gnawing and exploration, the imposter finally remembered that meat was even more delicious.

But where can you find meat in Andre, where there is no food?

Yes, in one's companions, in oneself, hunger disguises itself as flesh.

"Oh, I just wanted to confirm, would you mind if I tried your ribs?"

The imposter stared in shock at his companion; the two had just been eating dirt together. Then, he realized something.

“I mind, but I can accept it if you trade your own thigh for mine.”

Those remaining imposters with a modicum of rationality began to devour each other. Driven mad by hunger, the imposters frantically gnawed at their companions like zombies. Fortunately, they temporarily lacked pain receptors; even when torn to shreds, the lich merely rose from among his ravenous comrades.

"Hey! This isn't fair! I can't eat anymore, and I don't know when I'll be able to fake hunger again! You bunch of bastards, you promised to only eat a little bit!"

Such behavior was commonplace in the eyes of liches, but they had no idea how horrifying it was to the eyes of lightbats.

"By the fruit above! What's happening to the liches! They're having a blast killing each other. They do it all the time, I mean, but this time it's more horrific than ever."

"According to his companions who escaped, Andrei had just finished an academic gathering, and they were having a wild party."

"Is this a carnival? This scene...who is organizing this party?"

"The newly arrived plague doctor."

"My vegetables, has yet another natural disaster been born?"

The imposters are eating each other, and some are even eating themselves.

The imposters who lost their minds were alright, because once their flesh and blood were all eaten, the hunger urge disappeared, leaving only lingering regret for their companions.

The most terrifying are those who feign restraint. They will tear themselves to shreds, yet this doesn't affect their normal activities or hunger.

Hungry Flesh is a type of spiritual creation, possessing certain creative responses. When it discovers that certain parts of its body are inexplicably disappearing, it begins to transfer the nutrients and energy it has absorbed to other areas that sustain its desires and bodily functions.

The obvious manifestation is that the imposter's limbs and torso become abnormally developed, with no excess flesh or blood except for the muscles that keep them moving. It's like evolution.

However, all of this did not follow the law of conservation of matter, because the flesh and blood that were devoured and transformed would not be completely transformed; there was a loss of magic power and a reduction in the lifespan of the flesh and blood.

In the end, despite their efforts to maintain their physical appearance and stay together, they still found themselves in a situation where they had no meat to eat.

"Hungry...hungry...hungry..."

Just before their appetite overwhelmed their reason, the liches issued their final command.

“They prey on other groups; they… are our food.”

The physically disabled imposters begin a frenzied pursuit of the newly transformed imposters in Andrei, who are still trying to figure out what's going on.

A biohazard is erupting at the Andre Center.

Even those others who were holed up in the club finally realized the seriousness of the situation.

The old liches did not comment further on this.

"A new Lich Bane, yet another member of the Salvation Society has been born."

In the darkness, a figure activated a magical communication device.

“My child, I suggest you temporarily close the portal to the Dark Seventh District.”

"Oh, why? Is Andrei holding some kind of event?"

There was a brief pause.

"Yes, it's a grand event, and everyone is happily eating together."

"Pfft, hahaha, you're so funny. How can a lich eat?"

“We are experiencing a new lich calamity. If you don’t stop it, my child, your city will greatly enrich Andrei’s diet.”

Carlos immediately jumped up from his office chair.

"Holy crap!!! The Lich Bane!!!"

"Arcanist!!! Immediately seal off Dark Seventh District!!! The City of Wanderings is entering a Level One Crisis State!!!"

"Damn it! Immediately send a message to the guardians of the Andrei district! Destroy any suspicious liches on sight! Now! Immediately!!!"

After assembling his troops, Carlos led the main force of arcane warriors to the portal in the Andrei district without delay.

He looked at the guards standing to the side.

"Have any liches escaped?"

"No, sir, the lich cooperated perfectly with our sealing..."

“But…” The guard pinched his chin, looking puzzled.

"Three humans escaped from the Lich Quarter."

"They went towards the light and shadow area."

Chapter 317 The Nameless Experience Report

A turmoil that could be described as catastrophic is erupting in Andrei.

However, not all imposters are smitten. The Andrei Liches are a group of emotionless monsters, and among them, there are always a few exceptions who are not controlled by their appetites.

In times of disaster, there are always some people who take advantage of the chaos.

In the empty, dimly lit corridor, a disguised person, whose body was covered in flesh and blood, stood silently in front of a door.

That's the Astrologers' Club, a group of people who observe celestial bodies. They're the archenemies of the Advanced Magic Research Club; they worship freely moving celestial bodies and utterly despise those who view the macrocosm as the entirety of existence.

A bunch of bastards who play with their own beliefs—that's probably the same kind of anger one feels when their goddess is desecrated.

The imposter stood in front of the astrology club's entrance, looking at the massive magical barrier surrounding it.

He swayed slightly in place, like a zombie with a departed soul.
