Perhaps because Fairy Tail is a lawless guild, the others didn't react much to Kira's words. It's unclear whether it was because they thought he couldn't do it, or because he had already done it before.

Kira's words suddenly made Erza think of something, and she blurted out, "Regular meeting!"

The sudden name caught Gray off guard: "Regular meeting?"

"Yes! That's certainly possible!"

"Wouldn't that put the student council presidents in danger?!"

"Mira, contact the guild master immediately! Tell him about this!" With that thought, Erza shouted towards the bar, then grabbed Natsu and Gray beside her without giving them a chance to refuse, "You guys come with me right now!"

Kira beckoned Lucy to come along: "Let Lucy come too! Consider it a tutorial quest to guide her, is that alright, Erza?"

This caught Lucy, who had been observing the situation, off guard. Why was I suddenly dragged into this?

"Me? That's a dark guild, I'm very weak..."

“Lucy? Sure! I heard about it on the way here. She defeated a 3-meter-tall female gorilla and stuff. This time it’s a bit dangerous, but if it’s someone as reliable as her, it should be fine.”

Danger??!!

Lucy cried, "I didn't do that..."

Natsu grabbed Lucy and said, "Lucy, come on over! You just took all of our combined attacks with a single move!"

Erza noticed something amiss and frowned: "You guys were just fighting?"

Oh no! I let it slip...

"Ah... Hahahaha... Let's go, it'll be too late if we're late..." To avoid Erza's punishment, Natsu immediately grabbed Lucy's hand and rushed out, with Happy following closely behind as well.

Two seconds later, Natsu pulled Lucy back and asked, "Where were we going again?"

Half a day later, a huge brown blanket flew at an extremely fast speed in the air toward Ghost Lotus City.

They could have taken the train the next day, but Erza insisted on leaving immediately, and the others didn't have time to buy tickets, so they rode Kira's flying blanket instead.

The blanket is woven from special magical beast fur. The spacious area can comfortably seat ten people without feeling crowded. The soft texture makes the rider feel relaxed and comfortable. The magical patterns engraved on it look gorgeous and cool. Even if there were no magic on it, it would still be quite expensive as an ordinary blanket.

But the magic carpet is still the magic carpet; the most important thing is the magic that Kira, the creator, casts on it.

Flight, acceleration, purification, shock absorption, sun protection, moisture protection, waterproofing, fireproofing, wear resistance... the number of magical abilities it possesses far surpasses that of other magical vehicles sold in the market.

"Wow! That's amazing! This is the first time I've ever seen anything like it!"

The air was fresh and the mountains and rivers below were beautiful. Lucy lay on the edge of the blanket and looked down, the Celestial Key at her waist reflecting the sunlight.

"I never expected you to have such a magical item, it's truly amazing!" Erza sat to the side, arms crossed. "I was originally planning to set off tomorrow."

Kira stroked the flying carpet beneath him like a happy pet, proudly straightening his back: "Hehe, this is my newly made flying carpet. It has a large capacity, fast speed, good visibility, and first-class comfort. It's simply an essential means of transportation... It's just that the wind in the sky is a bit strong."

"Why didn't we use this in the previous missions?"

"Come on, good things should be brought out one by one, otherwise most of my works will just sit in the warehouse collecting dust?"

Chapter 30 On the Flying Carpet

On the flying carpet, Natsu was the happiest of all. He was hopping around in the center of the carpet with a joyful smile on his face: "Happy, look! I feel so energetic!"

Blue Cat was equally excited: "Wow! That's amazing! Natsu didn't feel dizzy at all!"

Lucy turned around and looked at Natsu, who seemed to be in great spirits, in surprise, then suddenly remembered that this guy gets motion sickness.

"Yeah! Shouldn't this be considered a means of transportation?"

"Of course it counts, but because I cast a balancing spell on the blanket, most of the vehicles I create have this spell. It can ensure that the user will not get carsick, seasick, or feel the flying carpet, which is why Natsu is so energetic."

Kira explained to Happy and Lucy, "This blanket is very expensive. If Natsu vomits on it, we couldn't afford to pay for it even if we sold Happy."

"I would never sell Harpy!"

"That's right!"

"Balancing magic?"

Seeing Lucy's confusion, Kira, thinking that everyone in the guild was his subordinate and should know these basic facts, patiently explained to her: "The Word Magic I use is a very comprehensive kind of magic. One of its spells can use the true meaning of words to modify the object."

"For example, right now, I've modified the balance of the flying carpet, so Natsu naturally doesn't get dizzy anymore."

Although Lucy didn't quite understand, she was still amazed: "It sounds like some kind of powerful magic."

Kira then introduced Erza and Gray's magic to Lucy one by one: "You should already know Natsu's magic, Fire Dragon Slayer Magic, which makes him immune to fire and allows him to recover his strength by consuming fire; Erza uses Knight Magic, a type of costume magic that allows her to fight with different armor and equipment; and finally, Gray's magic is Ice Model Magic."

Words of power, knights, ice?

“Grey, demonstrate your magic to this newcomer.”

"You're such a nuisance..."

Whether he was simply taking advice or showing off his skills, Gray muttered to himself but did as he was told.

"Ice Make!" With a wave of his hands, an ice wall, as tall as a person, as wide as two arms, and ten centimeters thick, appeared on the blanket, perfectly blocking the oncoming wind.

Well, the wind has died down now, but the air up high is even cooler...

Fire? Ice?

Lucy seemed to realize something: "Oh! So that's why Natsu and Gray's relationship is so bad?"

Erza also asked, "Is that so?"

Gray curled his lip: "Who cares what you say..."

"Don't be fooled by their frequent fights; they actually have a very good relationship."

"Who's on good terms with him?!"

Natsu and Gray shouted at the same time, their faces filled with disdain for each other.

"See? See? They're perfectly in sync!"

The two fell silent instantly, awkwardly turning their heads away, which actually made Lucy believe Kira's words a little more.

"Isn't it normal for companions to get along well?" Erza said with satisfaction, as she loved seeing everyone in harmony.

Kira suddenly wondered if it was possible that Erza was actually a cunning person who enjoyed seeing Natsu and Gray feel uncomfortable in front of her but had to pretend to be harmonious, so she deliberately maintained this innocent and earnest persona.

It's terrifying to think about. Maybe Erza is the only person in the entire Fairy Tail who can act better than me?

Kira couldn't think about it anymore. He gently patted his face, which puzzled Erza. She had just felt that Kira was thinking about something strange.

"Ahem... Well then, as usual, let's get the allocation sorted out first!"

Lucy asked, "Distribute? Distribute what?"

Harpy explained to her, "That's Kira's habit when doing missions. When we did missions together before, he liked to investigate the enemy's information before the battle. If it was a team mission, he would choose his opponents according to their individual preferences. This made the mission more organized."

Choosing an opponent? I never expected this.

"So how do you choose them?"

Lucy asked curiously, but she knew the answer in the next second because Natsu and Gray had already shown expressions of 'this is interesting,' as fighting was their favorite thing to do.

Natsu's clenched fists began to flare: "No need to assign them, just leave them all to me!"

A chilling aura rose from Gray's hand: "Leave the strongest one to me, and leave the rest to Natsu."

What kind of opponent selection is this?! This is clearly stealing monsters! So, the so-called opponent selection just means attacking whoever you want?

Lucy punched Natsu on the head: "Idiot, the opponent is an entire guild, and we only have five people..."

“Natsu is still no good, I think I’ll take over.” Gray said smugly.

"What did you say?"

Seeing the two of them angrily huddled together, Kira was speechless. Had these two forgotten that Erza was still here?

Looking back, Erza acted as if she hadn't seen anything, simply gazing quietly into the distance, completely ignoring Natsu and Gray's argument, displaying the demeanor of a senior watching his juniors quarrel.

Since Erza wouldn't intervene, Kira had to speak up himself: "Hey, you two, stop fooling around, be careful on the road..."

The effect was obvious; the two completely ignored Kira's orders. Although there were many powerful members in the guild, only Erza possessed sufficient authority, so the only one who could stop them was...

Kira turned his gaze to Erza.

"Enough! Erza is still watching you! Sit down and listen carefully!"

As expected, Erza's name was effective; as soon as she spoke, Natsu and Gray sat obediently.

"Ahem..." Kira cleared his throat and said calmly, "Iron Forest isn't very strong, but it has a lot of people... How about this, Natsu, Gray, and Lucy will handle the henchmen and a few executives; Erza can focus on dealing with Erigor. By the way, Erigor uses wind magic."

Hearing this assignment, Natsu and Gray were both disappointed: "No! I want to fight Erigor!"

Kira shook his head helplessly: "No."

"Wait, what are you going to do then?"

"I'm responsible for the final support and preventing any unforeseen circumstances. If Lalabai really gets out of control, we'll need someone with plenty of physical and magical energy to handle it, and that's the only situation I'll take action."

Kira just wanted to slack off...

"Erza!"

Natsu suddenly called out to Erza with a serious expression, making Gray and Lucy look at him sideways. Did this guy want to steal Erza's monster? Was he crazy?

Then Gray heard Natsu say something even crazier than stealing monsters.

"I can accept this arrangement, but after this is over, let's settle this once and for all!"

"What?!" Lucy, Happy, and Gray were all taken aback by Natsu's audacity. "Does this guy have a death wish?"

The atmosphere on the flying carpet froze for a moment. Erza stared quietly into Natsu's eyes. The cherry blossom-haired boy's eyes were firm, confident, and full of power like a flame.

It seems Natsu has really gotten stronger! Erza thought to herself, feeling as gratified as an older sister seeing her younger brother grow up.

"Okay, I promise you, I'll have a serious fight with you when I get back."

"It's a deal then!" Natsu suddenly burst into flames, brimming with passion. "I'm fired up!!!"

This action earned him a punch from Lucy: "Hey, put out the fire! What if you burn the flying carpet?!"

"Don't worry! My flying carpet is fireproof..." Kira said with a smile, but suddenly he felt something run down his cheek, and his expression instantly turned cold. "However, this water is a bit of a problem."

The group turned around and saw that the ice Gray had just created was starting to liquefy because of the fire on Natsu's body, and half of the flying carpet was wet. A roar startled the flock of birds not far away.
