“Alright,” Senju nodded, then looked at the enormous horse head in front of him and flicked it. “However, this is really too big. Let’s shrink it.”

With a ripple, the enormous horse's head shrank to the size of a fist, but he regained his freedom, though he was terrified, crying out, "I...I...I...Impossible!!!"

The little horse shouted and flew away. Natsume watched his friend fly away and asked Senju with some concern, "Um, Aizen-sama, is it alright that Misao has become so small?"

"Don't worry, it's just an illusion. It will be dispelled in a few days," Senju shook his head, looking at the even more terrified monsters over there. "However, it seems I can't stay here any longer. You guys have fun here. I'm leaving now."

"Wait!" Yato called out as he watched Senju about to leave. "How am I going to get back?! It's so far from Tokyo! I don't have that much money!"

"Seriously, you're a god, shouldn't going home be a simple matter?" Senju looked at Yato helplessly. "Besides, no one can see you, you can just hitch a ride."

"That won't do, I have to obey..."

"Where are the law-abiding gods?" Yato said with a righteous expression, while Senju chimed in with a sarcastic remark, "You gods really have it tough. Gods have to travel everywhere for work; doesn't that waste their time?"

"Of course not," Yato said guiltily, turning his head away. Then, as if sensing the strange gazes around him, he retorted, "If I had a shrine, I could instantly reach its location. It's because I don't have a shrine here that I can't."

"Oh, a fallen god, huh?" The fat cat squinted at the side, then covered its mouth and chuckled mischievously. "No wonder I felt something was off. It's really strange that it hasn't dissipated, hehehe~"

"You fat pig! I'll chop you up!" Seeing the fat cat reopening his wounds, Yato immediately flew into a rage and stepped forward to punch the cat, but Natsume stopped him. "Wait, Mr. Yato, this is the teacher's fault. Teacher, you should apologize too!"

"Hmph, no~" The fat cat jumped around, wiggling its butt and wagging its tail, which made Yato even angrier. "You fat cat, I'll make you into meat broth!"

"Ahem," Senju coughed lightly, watching their noisy antics. "Yato, as long as your shrine is here, you can come and go as you please, right?"

"Of course," Yato replied guiltily, then looked around at the others, "but I'll have to pay for the shrine's construction myself, I can't let you guys spend the money!"

"Don't worry, it's free," Senju shook his head and clapped his hands. "Now I'll show you something good: the Wood Release: Shrine Building Technique."

There was a tremor in the forest, and a large number of trees instantly shrank back to the ground, leveling the terrain. Then several buildings appeared. This was a shrine he had built based on one he had seen before, but the plaque read "Yato," though the two characters were referenced from the two characters on Yato's name card, which looked more like "Yato's name."

"!" Yato's eyes widened in surprise, while Senju looked at the building over there, feeling like something was missing. "That's right, Sage Art: Myojin Gate!"

"Bang bang bang!" Three torii gates fell from the sky and landed in front of the shrine. Senju nodded, "That feels about right. It's a pity this isn't a mountain, otherwise we could have built it even better."

"Is this real?! This is my shrine?!" Yato's mouth gaped open. Senju worried that if he kept being surprised, his jaw would dislocate. Natsume, standing to the side, was also dumbfounded. "Is this the power of the gods? But is it really okay?!"

"This, how is this possible? This is so absurd!" The fat cat was stunned, then jumped up. "I, I know, this must be an illusion!"

"Hahaha, you're right," Yato chuckled dryly. "How could such a luxurious shrine possibly be mine? And it appeared out of nowhere, Aizen. It's not good to deceive my feelings!"

"Who said it's fake? Besides, wipe your tears first, your snot is running down your face," Senju looked at Yato with disdain. "But this shrine only has the main hall and the signboard, it's a pity that the place isn't very big. I didn't want to cause a sensation, otherwise I could have built a bigger one."

"No, no, no, this is enough, thank you~" Yato excitedly pounced on Senju, but seeing his snotty-nosed and tearful face, Senju kicked him away, "Get out of the way, men shouldn't touch each other!"

Yato, who was kicked away, was unharmed. He ran to the shrine and started rubbing against it, saying, "Ah, this is my shrine. This is wonderful."

"What's wrong with Yato?" Senju looked at Yukine, who was also excited, as she watched Yato's abnormal behavior. "This is Yato's first shrine. He's always wanted a shrine."

"Uh..." Senju didn't know how to respond. "Is that so? Then let me help you out again. Come on, Stone Path! Flowering Trees Descend!"

As Senju spoke, the trees in the forest shifted, a stone path led to the outside world, and finally an entrance formed next to a main road.

Then, four huge cherry blossom trees appeared around the shrine building, covered with pink petals that were now slowly falling. Senju nodded, "Not bad, not bad, this feels much better."

Chapter 1431 Technical Issues

"So beautiful," Natsume exclaimed, reaching out his hand as he watched the petals fall. The fat cat picked up a petal and ate it. "Oh my?! It tastes pretty good. It's actually real. Aizen, what kind of tricks have you up your sleeve?!"

"Well, it's just a spell to control plants, nothing special," Senju waved his hand dismissively. The others around him stared at him speechlessly. Was this really 'nothing special'?! They, as a demon/god, didn't know such a spell at all!

"Alright, you guys are looking at me strangely," Senju rolled her eyes and pointed to the shrine over there. "By the way, what do you think is missing?"

“Main hall, bells, treasure chest, signboard, side hall, torii gate,” Yato counted, then shook his head excitedly, “It’s basically all there. This is the best shrine I’ve ever seen!”

The others nodded, seemingly too shocked to think of anything for a moment. Senju stared at them for a while, then clapped his hands, "Oh right, we're still missing a shrine maiden, but Yato will have to find one himself."

"Huh, when did these [items] appear here?"

"A shrine?" came other voices from the side. Everyone looked over and saw two boys. They seemed to know Natsume. "Natsume, you're here too. And who is this?" "It's really strange to find such beautiful cherry blossoms and a shrine here. I've lived here for over ten years and never noticed this before."

“Um, um, Nishimura, Kitamoto, you can see…” Natsume didn’t know how to explain. Seeing his flustered look, Senju took a step forward. “Ahem, young man, you are really lucky. This shrine was built by my company. These cherry blossom trees were also transplanted from other places. It took a lot of effort to build it.”

"Transplanted?" The two students looked at the shrine and cherry blossom trees with curiosity. Senju nodded. "That's right. And it even used a helicopter. My company has extensive construction technology. This building was completed in just one hour."

“One hour?! How is that possible?!” The two students shook their heads repeatedly. Senju nodded. “Well, I was just talking about the time it took to set up here. Actually, this shrine was already set up elsewhere and then transported here by helicopter.”

"Wow, that's amazing," the two students were clearly dumbfounded, but they did understand the principle behind the shrine's existence. After a little thought, the assembled modules plus the helicopter—it was quite simple. Senju continued, "Look, these cherry blossom trees have no trace of anything, right? This is thanks to a special nutrient solution; it contains various plant growth hormones that allow them to quickly take root and recover..."

Senju was giving a rambling introduction, while the two students next to him looked on with a mixture of confusion and awe. They only understood a little bit: the company that built this shrine was a very powerful company. "Um, can we go and worship here?"

“Of course, the more the merrier,” Senju nodded, looking at Yato who was crowding around the shrine. The two students exchanged glances. “So, it’s fine to enjoy the cherry blossoms here, right?”

“Of course, as long as we pay attention to hygiene, there won’t be any problem,” Senju nodded, and the two next to him immediately clapped their hands together. “Yay! Let’s go pay our respects first!”

Then the two went to ring the bell. Yato, who was there, was a little flustered and longing when he saw this. Then he saw the two put money into the box, and a sense of happiness welled up inside him. It's so wonderful to have a shrine!

"Um, Lord Aizen, can they see you?" Seeing that they were ignoring Yato, Natsume approached the Senju and asked hesitantly, "Also, um, isn't lying a bad idea?"

"That's just adult wisdom," Senju waved his hand, looking at Natsume who was troubled. "If people are too direct with each other, they'll hurt each other. Well, of course, lies aren't good either. Just be yourself."

As Senju spoke, she glanced at Yato, who was clinging to the shrine, and continued, "As for why they can see me? That's up to me. Whoever I want to see, I can let them see."

As he spoke, Senju's figure completely disappeared from Natsume's sight. Natsume was bewildered, even though the Yato Gods around him were still there. "Lord Aizen?"

"This is so lucky! We actually found such a great place. But who ordered it to be built?" The two boys who had finished their prayers ran over and nodded repeatedly at the empty space. "I see. It was made by some rich person. That's really impressive. Now we have a place to enjoy the cherry blossoms. Let's go ask a girl out!"

"Nishimura? Kitamoto?" Natsume was puzzled for a moment, then he realized that the two of them were looking at someone he couldn't see right now—it was Aizen. This feeling was really strange. Was this how his classmates saw him? The two classmates waved and ran away. "See you later, Natsume. We're going to find some friends to come and play with."

"Aizen-san?" Natsume called out in confusion, and then Senju's figure appeared to the side. "That's about it. This is quite a convenient skill."

"Then why can't they see Yato and the others? And why can't ordinary people see those yokai?" Natsume continued to wonder. Senju shook his head. "Yato's just a habit. He could make himself visible to ordinary people, but he doesn't want to, given his current appearance..."

"As for the matter of monsters, it involves many things. Simply put, humans have rejected monsters. Humans do not want to see monsters, so most people cannot see monsters, and monsters can no longer interfere with humans."

“Of course, this also has to do with the strength and way of life of the yokai in your Book of Friends,” Senju shook his head there. “The current state of non-interference is good. If most humans knew about the existence of yokai, they would definitely kill them as soon as possible!”

"Isn't there a way to live together peacefully?" Natsume hesitated, and Senju shook his head. "There isn't. Even in the few examples of peaceful coexistence, ordinary people can only feel fear towards those yokai with superpowers, and fear is the source of yokai's power."

"Furthermore, while the monsters on your side are considered good, they still eat people, right? But these are already considered good monsters; those monsters that are used to hunting humans will be joining another group of monsters and Onmyoji in Kyoto in a few days."

"The great war—that battle determined the future mainstream of monsters in this world: whether they would eat humans or continue to hide."

"A yokai battle?" Natsume looked bewildered, while the fat cat beside him squinted. "A yokai battle? And in Kyoto? Isn't that the Keikain family's territory? That yokai, could it be Hagoromo Gitsune?! This is really..."

Chapter 1432 Pit

"Hagoromo-Gitsune? Isn't that a mythical yokai? Does that even exist?" Natsume exclaimed, while the fat cat licked its paws. "Natsume, you're such an idiot. If yokai exist, isn't it normal for legendary yokai to exist too? But Hagoromo-Gitsune, that guy is terrifying. Natsume, you shouldn't go there recently, or he might steal your heart. That guy loves the hearts of people with strong spiritual energy."

“That guy is really strong, not someone a little monster like us can handle. By the way, Aizen, who is that other group of monsters you mentioned? Can they beat Hagoromo Gitsune?” The fat cat looked at Senju, who shrugged. “Well, it’s the Nura Clan. But you’re not weak either. Once you collect the 'Fear' and regain your original strength, you’ll be quite strong.”

“The Nura Clan,” the fat cat paused in its paw-licking motion before resuming normal activity, “that organization… but those things have nothing to do with us.”

"The Nura Clan? A yokai organization?" Natsume asked, somewhat puzzled. The fat cat, seemingly unconcerned, shouted, "The Nura Clan is a yokai organization similar to the human yakuza. They do all sorts of bad things, so it's best not to get involved!"

"A delinquent yokai?" Natsume pictured a fat cat dressed as a thug in his mind, then shook his head violently to dispel the strange thought. He then gave a wry smile. "Don't worry, Nyanko-sensei, I'm not going over there. I'm trying to avoid it."

"You're really wasting your time," Senju said, shaking her head as she looked at Natsume, who was content with his ordinary life. "You have such good potential to become a strong person in this world, it's a pity."

“I just want to be an ordinary person,” Natsume said with a smile and a shake of his head. Senju also shook his head. Although he said he was willing to live a simple life, he was actually still attached to his ability to see the size of yokai, even though that ability brought him a lot of trouble. But since he refused, Senju didn’t say anything more.

"Yato, Hiyori is still waiting for us to go back," Yukine said as the Senju were chatting, trying to persuade Yato to go back first. But Yato clearly wouldn't listen. "No, this is my shrine. I don't want to leave!"

Seeing Yato clinging to the pillar like a child, Yukine was a little scratched. After all, he knew Yato's longing for the shrine. They had been living in someone else's house for a long time, so having such a big shrine was certainly exciting. But he still felt they needed to go back, but Yato wouldn't listen.

Seeing the noisy scene, Senju stepped forward and poked Yato with his sword sheath. "Hey, Yato, stop clinging to the pillar. I'll take you back."

"No, no, I won't listen," Yato shook his head desperately. "I'm going to live here from now on, I will never leave!"

"Where did you come from, little kid?!" Senju retorted, while Yukine shouted from the side, "Yato, are you really going to give up everything over there for this shrine? Give up Hiyori?!"

"But," Yato looked pitifully at Senju and Yukine, "Lord Aizen, just let me stay for one night. Yukine, you also want to stay in your own shrine, right? Just one night, let me experience a scene that only exists in my dreams."

"This is your shrine," Senju said, at a loss for words. Yato looked so pitiful. It seemed that the life of a believer was miserable. But at least Yato usually did good deeds and slayed demons, which allowed him to maintain his current state. However, he still longed for the shrine.

"It seems this god lives a miserable life. It's amazing he can still maintain so much power," the fat cat said, swaying over with a bottle of wine. Natsume smiled wryly. He had heard from Nyanko-sensei before that a god's power was linked to the number of believers. Looking at the size of this Yato god, he thought he was a great god. But now he was so excited.

“Well, Yato is a martial god after all,” Senju clinked glasses with the fat cat. “But his business scope is very wide. He does everything from slaying demons to helping children copy their homework. And his prices are very cheap, only five yuan, which even elementary school students can afford.”

"Five yuan? That's cheap! Hey, Natsume, give me five yuan!" The fat cat's eyes darted around, and then it called out to Natsume. Natsume rummaged in his pocket for a while, then looked at the coins in his hand. "Um, Nyanko-sensei, I'm sorry, the smallest coin I have here is ten yuan."

"Tch, useless guy," the fat cat scoffed, saying with a hint of disdain, "Ten yuan it is, he got off easy!"

"Does Nyanko-sensei have some wish that wants to be fulfilled?" Natsume looked at the fat cat while holding the coin. "That won't do. We can't cause trouble for Mr. Yato!"

“Natsume, that’s not right of you,” the fat cat argued. “I’m just patronizing the gods’ business, like buying something in a shop. How can you say I’m causing trouble for the shopkeeper?!”

"Although cats"

"Teacher, what you said makes a lot of sense, but now..." Natsume glanced around. There were a lot of yokai gathered here. It didn't look like a good time to spend money.

"They really don't know what's good for them," Senju said, shaking his glass as the juice inside shimmered with iridescent colors. "Yato is a war god, far stronger than these monsters. Besides, I built this temple; how could it possibly be destroyed!"

In reality, the monsters outside didn't cause any destruction; they just stood there shouting, "Intruders, get out of our forest! This forest is our territory, and no shrines are allowed here!"

"What should we do now?! If they start fighting, it'll become a huge incident!" Natsume exclaimed nervously. The fat cat jumped up and snatched the coin from Natsume's hand. "I don't think they'll fight. Besides, isn't there an easier way?"

"Hey, over there in that shabby tracksuit, the god who lets you make a wish for just five yen!" the fat cat shouted, attracting Yato's attention. Then the fat cat threw a coin at Yato. "I'm making a wish to you now. Don't you dare mess with Natsume, and don't you dare mess with the Book of Friends!"

"I did receive that wish," Yato said reflexively, pinching the coin between his fingers and striking a cool pose as he shouted, "I, Yato the God, will grant you this wish!"

Chapter 1433 The Girl by the Sea

“Look, this guy is just that cheap,” the fat cat said calmly, then looked at Natsume. “I don’t need to teach you what to do next, right? Just convince the yokai outside, and everything will be fine.”

“I see,” Natsume nodded as if he understood, and Senju nodded slightly. It seemed that a fight wouldn’t break out here. After all, those yokai were actually quite guilty, and Yato was easy to talk to. “Well then, you two can chat here. I’ll leave first. Yato, you can take your ride home.”

"Wait, I forgot to ask, do you have a land use certificate for this area?!" Yato shouted, then realized Senju had disappeared. "Could it be illegal land use...?"

"Yato..." Yukine was silent for a moment, then patted Yato on the shoulder, "Anyway, if you're going to stay here overnight, call Hiyori first, and then deal with those youkai outside!"

"Wait, about this..." Natsume walked over and then mediated between the two sides. Soon, Yato, who had demonstrated his superb martial arts skills, joined the group of yokai to sing and drink. Yukine, who was watching from the side, shook her head and then talked with Natsume.

Senju didn't go far after leaving this place. She stopped at the top of the small hill. With a flick of her hand, another Book of Friends appeared in her hand. This one was a replica of Natsume's book. Although the monsters in it were weak, they had many strange abilities.

Of course, this book by Senju won't affect those monsters; it just copies them. Now, each page has a shadow monster, which means Senju has gained many more cards, like cards similar to 'Kuriboh'.

Senju put away the Book of Friends and looked around. It was really quiet here. But there was the sea in the distance. This town was built on the coast.

Taking a step forward, Senju arrived at the beach. There weren't many people around, but a person wearing a trench coat and a hood caught Senju's attention. The person had a faint demonic aura about them, but they weren't a demon; they were someone being haunted by a demon.

The person was drawing on the beach. When Thousand Hands went over to take a look, he was surprised to find that it was a magic circle. In the center was an eye, and the outer circle was a circle of symbols representing the sun, moon, water, fire, and so on.

The person who drew this was a young girl. She didn't have any special abilities, but by simply drawing special shapes in the sand with a stick, she could attract some kind of power, breaking the barrier that humans couldn't see monsters. Could she be self-taught?!

"What is this?" Senju asked from the side. The girl, who had been concentrating intently, seemed startled. "Wow! I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have drawn this."

The girl was flustered, but Senju was picking at his ear. "Misaka?! What are you doing here?"
