“I still feel like something’s not right,” Yuri said, biting into her rations as she dodged Qianhu’s hand and fell into deep thought. “Ah, could it be that I am the god?”

"It's impossible." The two people next to him both disagreed.

The three of them stood there staring at the dazzling light for a long time, then Senju took out a fuel lamp. "Senju, add some fuel to it."

“As for fuel, I have a better idea,” Senju said, taking out a book that glowed purple. “This is it, an enchanted book that can grant other things protection and infinity. Once you put it on the lamp, it won’t go out.”

“Oh, that’s amazing. If we put it in the car, we won’t need to look for fuel anymore,” Yuri said, quite surprised. However, her words dealt a heavy blow to Senju.

"Why didn't I think of that?" Senju muttered to himself, kneeling on the ground. After a while, Chito came over and helped Senju up. "Are you alright? But I think Yuri is right. We just need to add some fuel to the lamp."

“...Alright,” Senju took out a bucket of fuel and slowly added it into the lamp with everyone. After Senju tested it, a faint light came out, and the three of them left the brightly lit temple following this light.

Upon arriving at the entrance, Senju asked everyone to wait a moment. "Senju, Yuri, you guys tidy up the things in the car first. I'll enchant the car so we won't run out of fuel in the future."

"Is everything alright?" Chito was still a little worried, but he still took everything off the cart. After placing an anvil on the ground, Chito put the cart back into the package and found that its durability had dropped by a third.

After using a tank as raw material, Thousand Hands spent five experience points to repair the vehicle, and then spent another five experience points to imbue the vehicle with the enchantment book's properties.

After Senju took the car out, Chito and Yuri looked around at it. "Oh, it looks brand new! Even the dirt and scratches are gone."

Qianhu tried driving it for a while and exclaimed, "The sound, the engine is brand new, it's just like when I first got it, and it seems like there's something protecting it all around."

"That's the protective property. It can probably defend against some things, after all, it's a level three protection," Senju said as he put the item back into the car.

"Oh, that's amazing! Can you enchant my helmet too?" Chito looked at Senju with some excitement, but Senju shook his head. "Not now. It depends on luck in the future."

"Is that so? I'll have to enchant the helmet later."

ah."

“I want one too,” Yuri said, showing interest from the side. But she was interested in something else: “Unlimited! That sounds great. It would be wonderful to have unlimited food.”

"Yes, yes, I really lost to you guys," Senju said with a hint of helplessness as he looked at the two of them. He then got into the car and felt as if there was a thin protective shield around him, but he couldn't find any trace of it.

After Yuri sat down, Chito started the car and drove away. The three of them didn't feel a bit of cold wind along the way, as if they were inside a house.

"Is this what protection is?" Thousand Hands thought to himself, deciding to go back and fish more, to try and get countless enchantment books and experience points, so that he could arm the three of them into gods.

After leaving the temple, Senju and the others found a house by the roadside and stayed there for the night. During their free time, Senju built a pond and started fishing. After watching for a while, Chito and Yuri tidied up the area and then had Senju lay down a plank and fall asleep on it.

Thousand Hands was still fishing with great enthusiasm. At first, he caught a bunch of fish, and then an enchanted fishing rod appeared. It had 2 durability, 3 Ocean's Blessing, and 2 bait. These were excellent attributes. Thousand Hands put it away and continued fishing. Finally, he obtained an enchanted book—Strength 3.

Senju stared blankly at the book, wondering where to put it. Could it possibly make him incredibly strong? He decided to put it away for now and ask the two for their advice tomorrow. Senju was starting to doubt his own intelligence.

Senju, feeling dizzy, covered himself with a blanket and fell asleep. Some time later, he suddenly felt a jolt and woke up to find himself lying in a car, with Chito and Yuri chatting as they drove on.

Chapter 49 A Home of Imagination

"Oh, Senju, are you awake?" Yuri greeted Senju as he sat up. Senju also greeted him. Senju looked around and realized that he was on a narrow path next to a building. There were many pipes on the building next to him, and there was also a pipe protruding from the road behind him, which was covered by a metal plate.

"Where am I? How did I get here?" Senju was confused. Had something happened to her?

"This should be a residential building. Senju was too tired last night and we couldn't wake you up, so Yu and I put you in the car first."

"Is that so? Looks like I slept too late last night," Senju said after waking up a bit. He remembered the wooden planks he had left there, but he didn't know how to get back. Oh well, they were just a few planks anyway.

"Senju is sleeping so soundly. Chihiro and I tried calling him several times but couldn't wake him up. And we ran out of water this morning, otherwise we could have used water to wake Senju," Yuri said somewhat unfriendly from the side.

"Ah, that's great, I collected the water last night," Senju said with some relief, glancing at the light blocked by the surrounding buildings. "Yuri, what time is it now?"

"Hmm, it's probably in the afternoon. We already had lunch," Yuri replied after thinking for a moment. "Xiaoqian and I have already searched several buildings today."

"Did you gain anything?"

“No, but the lights in the surrounding houses are still on, and water is flowing from the pipes,” Yuri said, then added sadly, “It’s still bright at night, but nobody uses it except us. I hate this feeling.”

“Is that so?” Senju looked around at the buildings. In the alley that flashed by, she could see a few empty doorways with pitch black interiors. “There must not be many houses here, that’s why they look like this.”

Qianhu turned the car around and onto a side alley, then stopped. "But there are quite a few rooms here, at least over a thousand."

As Chito spoke, he walked up the stairs, followed by Senju and Yuri. Yuri was still a little confused. "I mean, isn't every little house here a home?"

“Having a house isn’t enough. If no one keeps it tidy, you can’t live there,” Sento replied, looking at the rooms on both sides. Senju also looked at the rooms without doors. They were empty, with nothing left behind. The walls of these rooms were just like the houses Senju had built before, but they were made of iron.

"So we don't actually have a home, right?" Yuri asked, somewhat bewildered. Chito replied nonchalantly, "Who knows?"

The three of them entered a room and looked down through the window. Yuri seemed to have noticed something. "Xiaoqian, let me ask you something."

"What?"

"Is the car that's always been carrying us considered our home?"

If I had to answer with 'yes' and 'no,' it would be no.

"It's not home after all. I'm so disappointed." Yuri said, somewhat dejected.

“But even so, we still had a home back then, even though we don’t anymore.” Qianhu said as he walked out of the house.

“As long as there are people, you can build a home anytime,” Senju thought, though he was still traveling at the moment.

“I said, the door to this room is still intact,” Yuri suddenly shouted from the side. The two people next to her looked over and sure enough, there was a closed iron door.

“It really is,” Chitoge said, pushing the door open to reveal the room inside.

The three of them went inside to take a look.

"The furniture is still there; it's a rare, clean and beautiful room."

Senju also took a look around. There was a pair of single sofas by the window, a small coffee table in the middle, and a row of iron furniture next to it, with water pipes on top. It was probably a place for cooking.

While Senju and Chito were inspecting the water pipes, Yuri sat down on the sofa by the window. "Ah, this is a nice chair."

"Ha, the scenery here is quite nice," Yuri said, looking at the view outside. The surroundings were made more colorful by the setting sun in the distance. "It's already sunset before we know it. Why don't we just stay here?"

“That’s true. I’ve found myself wanting to stay here without even realizing it,” Chito said, sitting down on the other sofa. “Yu, Senju, why don’t we stay here for a while?”

“Okay,” Senju said. Although it was dusk, he was not tired at all after waking up. He started looking around at the cabinets for something. Seeing that the two of them were sitting there, he took out a wooden board to use as a stool.

Yuri was somewhat surprised by Chito's suggestion. "Really?"

“I really long for living in a place like that,” Chito said, closing her eyes and lost in her daydream. “Look, there’s a ceiling above my head to shelter me from the wind and rain, and a sense of security surrounded by walls on all sides.”

“But the thought of settling in makes me want more, just like Senju usually does,” Yuri said, lost in her fantasies, “like a bed or something.”

“A bed? I’ve seen bunk beds for two people before, but it’s not enough for three. It would be better if it were bigger, like this,” Chito thought to himself, but Yuri immediately understood.

“Oh, that’s good. The bed is already placed at one end of the room, that’s perfect,” Yuri said, looking at a corner of the room. “I’ll sleep on top, and Senju and Chihiro will sleep on the bottom. You’re both afraid of heights, aren’t you?”

“That’s true. And I’d like a bookshelf with lots and lots of different kinds of books on it,” Chito continued, while Yuri, standing next to her, eagerly offered a new idea.

"Also, I want a food shelf, filled with all kinds of food, so I can eat anytime."

"And then, of course, we'll need to keep warm."

"And the bathroom is also essential."

"I heard that people used to use plants as decorations, and I want to try it out."

"Stone statues can also be used as decorations."

"A stone statue? That sounds amazing."

"so good."

Seeing the two lost in their fantasies, looking blissfully happy, Senju couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness. These things sounded ordinary, but they were hard to find again now.

"That's good," the two said, waking up as the lights in the room came on. "If we linger here, we'll run out of food, which will be a problem."

“But let’s rest here tonight. I can set up some things,” Senju said. Then he placed two layers of partitioned wooden planks on the wall next to him, one on the ground and the other on the wall more than a meter below, just like a double bed. “This is the bed.”

Chapter Fifty: The Real Home

“Oh, it looks just like it, it’s double-layered,” Yuri said excitedly, grabbing Chito’s arm. However, Chito was still a little worried. “Is it okay? The top one is practically floating on top.”

"It's alright, it's very sturdy," Senju said, pulling on the wooden plank without it moving an inch. "See?"

After covering the top with a blanket, Senju placed a clod of earth on the other side and then a spruce sapling on top of it, "a plant."

He then built two shelves using iron railings and pressure plates. One shelf held some bread, fish, and dry rations, while the other held some books and blueprints he had found. "A food shelf and a bookshelf."

"Wow, that's amazing, although it looks a little strange."

"A stone statue, huh?" After thinking for a while, Thousand Hands built a pillar, then placed four blocks on the top four sides, and put torches on the outermost of the four blocks.

"That's about it. We can build the bathroom and other things in other rooms."

“That’s great! We’re so happy to have these, even though they’re all a bit strange,” Chito excitedly looked around, and then Yuri’s muffled voice came from beside him, “I think they’re great.”

"Yuri, what are you doing?" Chito pulled Yuri, who was standing in front of the food shelf, over and saw that she had a piece of bread in her mouth. "Yuri, you've been stealing food again."

“But it’s nighttime now, it’s dinnertime,” Yuri argued.

“Yeah, I feel hungry too. Let’s eat first,” Senju also felt that she should eat. Although she didn’t feel hungry while sleeping, it would be better to eat something now.

"Senju, you've spoiled Yu too much," Senju criticized at first, but after looking around, he breathed a sigh of relief. "Well, fine, I'll let you off this time."

"Great! I want another grilled fish too!" Yuri cheered as the three of them ate dinner. After dinner, they decided to go to sleep.

However, Chito was still a little worried about the bed. She was worried about falling off from below, and she was also worried about falling off from above. While she was hesitating, Yuri had already climbed on.

"Chihiro, if you're so worried, you can just sleep with me," Yuri said, yawning from above.

"But it fell from above."

"What should we do down here? And there's no guardrail on one side," Chito was still a bit conflicted. Senju then added an iron railing to one side. "That'll solve it."

"But it's so high, how can we get up there?"

"Is this a good idea?" Senju built a staircase leading upstairs. "Otherwise, Senju will have to sleep downstairs with me."

"Hmm—, but it's dangerous down there too," Chito hesitated for a moment before cautiously walking up, only to be pulled down by Yuri, with a loud bang coming from above.

"Idiot, stop it! You're going to fall!" But after struggling for a while, Chito realized that he hadn't fallen and was relieved.

"Everyone, go to sleep, it's very late now," Senju shook his head and lay down on the blanket below, but he still couldn't fall asleep, so he sat up and began to check how much stuff was left in his bag.

The dozen or so compartments were filled with all sorts of things: several buckets of water, several sets of concrete blocks, iron ingots and dirt, some coal and wood, a few bows and fishing rods, a workbench, a furnace and anvil, some seeds and saplings, and the rest were manufactured products, like levers and torches.

After rummaging through the package haphazardly, Senju stopped caring about it. Anyway, there was enough stuff inside for now; she could deal with it when she needed it later.

Feeling a wave of weariness, Senju lay down and fell asleep. However, in his dream, he saw himself scattering materials and items everywhere, as if the blocks in his hands were endless.

Just as Senju was having a sweet dream, someone suddenly shook her from the side, "Wake up, it's morning."

Senju slowly opened her eyes and saw Yuri gently patting her face. "Oh, you're awake."

"Good morning, Yuri, you guys are up so early."
