Carl smiled and said, "But I'm Superman."

Karl took out a spatial box from his belt. It was something he had obtained from the Dragon King in the Spider World, and it contained many magical items belonging to the Dragon King.

Because of Karl's near-magic immunity, these items weren't very meaningful to him, but for others, they were artifacts from the God-King.

Karl selected a bottle of potion and handed it to Fu Hua.

"This is a magical item that can repair the body. Its effects can be described as bringing the dead back to life and healing flesh and bones. I think it should be able to cure you."

"Oh... thank you, I'm very grateful whether it's useful or not."

Karl waved his hand to indicate that he didn't need to be polite, and then asked, "If you are cured, what would you like to do?"

"Well, I'll probably continue to protect China."

“Actually, I have lived for a very long time, so long that my friends are dead, but I have never forgotten the feeling of being with them and their desire to protect China.”

"If you ask me what I want to do, I want to fulfill their wishes."

Chapter 133 The Complete Me

Karl gave Fu Hua medicine, and there were only three bottles in the entire spatial box. As medicine that the Starfield Lord, the Dragon King, used for himself, these things must have been extremely powerful.

Moreover, because the gods of that world valued the soul, the restorative effect of this potion worked on both the body and the soul simultaneously. Rather, the healing of the body was a byproduct of the potion.

Fu Hua opened the bottle and drank it down without much hesitation.

Logically speaking, if the other party wanted to do something, she would be completely powerless to resist in her current state, so there was no need for them to use a bottle of obviously extraordinary medicine to trick her.

Instantly, the golden liquid transformed into magic and flowed into her limbs and bones. The god-king-level repair effect unfolded within her body, nourishing every cell and every vein.

Fu Hua felt a power within her body trying to break free. This power was not violent, but rather originated from the deepest part of her body.

This reminded her of when she first became a Fusion Warrior, when power surged from her genes and manifested in physical form.

Now it seems the same thing is about to happen.

Fu Hua swung her arms, and a pair of enormous dragon wings unfolded from her back. These wings were pure white and smooth without any dragon scales, but rather had a texture similar to carapace, just like those of Honkai Beasts.

"It seems that the dragon's potion activated the part of Fu Hua's body that belongs to the dragon-shaped Honkai Beast," Karl thought.

Fu Hua also noticed the movement on her back, but she couldn't focus on it at all, because other changes in her body occupied almost all of her attention.

The restoration of her power surprised her, but more importantly, memories of the past began to surface in her mind: how she joined the organization 5 years ago, how she made the pact to protect the Divine Land 5000 years ago, and how she lost her power 500 years ago.

From a young girl who felt lost about her life, to the respected Chi Yuan Immortal, and now to Fu Hua.

She knew that all of the above were her identities, all of them were 'me'.

However, Fu Hua, who has lost her memory, does not understand 'why I am who I am'. The sense of separation between her transformation from an ordinary little girl to a warrior is quite severe.

What connects these different identities is memory. Only with complete memories can she avoid confusion, understand why she chose this path, and understand why she is who she is.

"This is the complete Chi Yuan, the complete Fu Hua, the complete me," Fu Hua exclaimed.

“Then congratulations,” Carl said.

Fu Hua snapped out of her daze and used her unparalleled Honkai energy manipulation skills to remove the dragon wings from her back.

Then he cupped his hands and said sincerely, "Superman, I am deeply grateful. If there is anything I can do to help you, please don't hesitate to ask. This recovery is like a rebirth for me, so I already owe you my life."

"You're too kind," Karl said with a smile. "It's just a bottle of magic potion, nothing special to me. Using it on you is the best use of it."

Ensuring that those who deserve it receive a better outcome is something Carl, as an ordinary person, is willing to do. He derives satisfaction from these actions, not from seeking reward, and most people couldn't possibly repay him anyway.

Fu Hua performed the traditional martial arts etiquette once again, remembering this kindness in her heart and vowing to repay it whenever the opportunity presented itself.

“Fu Hua, you’re going back to Shenzhou now, right?” Karl asked.

Fu Hua nodded and said, "Yes, my memories have returned, and there are many places I want to revisit."

"Then we'll meet again someday," Karl said, mimicking Fu Hua's manner of performing a traditional martial arts greeting.

This made Fu Hua chuckle; Karl doing the fist salute while wearing a tight-fitting uniform looked rather incongruous.

Fu Hua was unaware that Karl had also come from a civilization similar to the Shenzhou she protected.

Fu Hua bid farewell to Karl and embarked on her journey back to Shenzhou alone.

Karl then came to Bronya and the others.

It has been less than three hours since he left for Tianming, and everyone is still gathered in the office and has not dispersed.

"Superman, you're back! What did the class monitor want you to do outside?" Bronya asked as soon as Karl entered the room.

“It’s nothing, I just flew to the Schicksal headquarters,” Karl said, then looked at Theresa: “By the way, Theresa, your grandfather asked me to give you his regards.”

He spoke of it casually, but others couldn't remain calm.

Theresa said with a conflicted expression, "Well, although it's not good for me to say this, Superman, you can't completely trust my grandfather. Even I don't know what he's been planning behind the scenes."

Theresa knew how others perceived her grandfather, and in fact, she herself thought so too, since her birth was a result of a cloning experiment by Destiny.

There was genuine affection between the two, but after the Second Honkai Impact, Theresa resolutely left the Schicksal headquarters and came to the Far East to establish an academy because she knew that her grandfather was always willing to sacrifice to achieve his goals.

Karl hadn't expected Theresa to remind him like that. He replied, "Fu Hua said the same thing to me. It seems that Bishop Otto is indeed not trustworthy."

"But don't worry, I don't completely trust him. Apart from making some potions that can heal the Valkyrie, I only agreed to take him with me to see the World Serpent Leader."

"I see. So Fu Hua isn't a bad kid after all. But World Serpent? What's that?" Theresa asked, puzzled. World Serpent was very good at hiding its true nature, and she had never heard of this organization before.

Carl explained, “It’s an organization whose leader is very powerful and has many secrets. They made an appointment with me to meet in a while, and Otto wants me to take him with me.”

Just as Carl finished speaking, Kevin's communicator rang.

Carl opened it and saw only one text message.

"Did the World Serpents send a message? What did they say?" Bronya, who recognized the communicator, asked.

“It’s nothing, just that I was informed to meet at their European base at noon the day after tomorrow,” Karl said.

Bronya said with some concern, "You're going, aren't you? Please be careful. After all, it's their territory, and they might have already set a trap there."

Carl said, "Thank you for your concern, but don't worry, there's no Kryptonite in this world, so no matter what they prepare, they can't do anything to me."

Bronya thought for a moment and nodded unconsciously.

For Kryptonians, only Kryptonite is their greatest weakness; other things can only be said to be relatively effective against them, but cannot be the decisive factor.

Chapter 134 Restart?

Two days later.

When the appointed time arrived for the World Serpent, Karl first went to find Otto: "We should go."

“Okay, I’ll arrange a private jet and it’ll be here soon,” Otto said.

"Isn't your body a robot now? Why go through all this trouble? I can just carry you by the shoulder and fly over, can't I?"

Otto chuckled: "Haha, so you figured it out long ago, Superman? Oh well, I have to use some tricks to live longer."

Otto is now made of a material called Soul Steel, which was synthesized by a previous civilization and is essentially a collection of nanobots.

Items made of Soul Steel are indestructible and self-repairing. In addition, since they are nanobots, the necessary programs can be entered into them. Otto entered his consciousness into them.

Now that he'd been seen through, Otto stopped bothering with any more preparations for a flying vehicle. His current physical strength surpassed that of most Valkyries, second only to Durandal.

Karl grabbed the other's shoulder and flew directly towards the World Serpent's base. He didn't use his biofield to protect Otto at all along the way, but the other easily withstood the pressure of several times the speed of sound.

When Karl and Otto arrived at a building in the city, this was the base of the World Serpent.

Kevin, dressed in red, had been waiting there for a long time, and Otto could clearly see the ring on his right hand.

“I didn’t say the exact location of the base in the communicator, but sure enough, you found it very easily,” Kevin said to Carl.

"After all, this is the only place in the entire city that doesn't cooperate with Schicksal, yet it always mentions the word 'Honkai'."

Using super hearing to listen for keywords is a good search method when you don't have to fully utilize your super brain to process information.

Kevin didn't ask Carl why he brought Otto, but instead led the two directly into the reception room.

Carl looked around and then said, "You've installed a lot of new lead plates here. In some places, the building materials aren't even dry yet. Is it really necessary to be so quick to guard against me?"

“Yes,” Kevin said briefly.

“But you should also understand that if I really want to know what’s inside, the lead plate won’t stop me,” Karl said.

Kevin said without changing his expression, "If you wanted to, you could easily destroy the entire World Serpent, but would you do that?"

Kevin's meaning was clear: if Carl really wanted to do something, no one could stop him, but did that mean he wouldn't prepare any measures? No, that's not the case.

The lead plate serves a similar purpose to a low wall in a farmhouse: it keeps out honest people, but not scoundrels. Since Karl was a guest, he naturally wouldn't climb over into the yard.

“As long as you don’t do anything out of line, I naturally won’t take any extra action,” Karl said, sitting down and spreading his hands.

The remaining two people also took their seats.

In response to what was just said, Kevin said, "That's the topic of our conversation. Let me explain the Stigmata Project first."

"The Honkai is a disaster that targets civilizations. The more prosperous a civilization is, the stronger the Honkai will be. If this war continues, many people will inevitably be sacrificed."

"My Stigmata Project, on the other hand, involved sacrifices made in advance. Those who survived will no longer be troubled by the infectivity of the Honkai. They will gain great power and become the most suitable warriors."

Kevin stated his goal directly and why he chose this path.

Carl retorted, "Your plan sounds like a last resort for mutual destruction, but we're not at that point yet."

Kevin said, "No, in fact, modern civilization has developed to a point where the Herrschers will appear more and more frequently, and even the Herrscher of the End may appear at any time."

Karl said directly, "It would be better if she showed up. We could then deal with her directly and reasonably. With my involvement, things have changed. You don't need to worry too much about the combat strength issue."

Kevin did not agree with Karl's statement: "I do not doubt your ability to defeat the Herrscher of the End, but the rise of Honkai energy will cause countless disasters around the world. The Herrscher is the biggest one, but not all of them."

"You can defeat a Herrscher, but can you save everyone in the sea over a long period of time? Besides, you are an outsider after all. You can't stay here with us forever. You have your own world to protect, don't you?"

Karl said directly, "Even so, the result is definitely better than your Stigmata Project, which would sacrifice most of your people."

Neither of them could convince the other.

Karl didn't want to see scenes of devastation, while Kevin felt that if Karl couldn't continue to protect this place, then if his protection failed, the final result wouldn't be much better than the Stigmata Project.

Rather than entrusting their fate to outsiders who may leave at any time, they should take a chance themselves and let the Honkai taste the wrath of humanity.

Ultimately, it's because Karl didn't understand the world well enough and hadn't found a perfect solution.
