Bottom-tier trainers in the Pokémon world

But none of these were what Xia Yan wanted.

It wasn't until the old man on stage introduced the next item that Xia Yan's attention shifted from petting Eevee to the stage.

"The Alola region, I wonder if any of you have heard of it?"

As soon as the old man said this, the hall below the stage began to buzz with discussion.

Most people have never heard of it, but a small number of people have heard of some things about the Alola region.

The negotiations between the Alola region and the League are almost complete, and the region may move in within the next few months. Therefore, some things will no longer be kept secret, and a little bit will be revealed occasionally to keep people looking forward to the Alola region.

When the Alora region opens, it will greatly stimulate the Alora region's economy.

This naturally led to a gradual increase in the number of Alola region Pokémon that were previously rare.

After the old man gave a brief introduction to the Alola region, most people understood that the Pokémon they were about to hear would be related to the Alola region.

This really whetted our appetites.

After all, new Pokémon, Pokémon that have never been seen before, are always very attractive and generate a lot of discussion.

A cart covered with a red cloth was pushed up.

Everyone's attention was drawn to it.

The elderly man, who was adept at managing the situation, was clearly quite satisfied with the outcome.

They kept us in suspense for a while.

The moment the red cloth was lifted, the lively venue, which had been bustling like a drumbeat, fell silent.

All I saw was...

Inside a transparent container of unknown material was a brightly colored elf with many milky white crystals on its body. At first glance, its outline was no different from an ordinary Grimer, but when combined, it revealed the elf's uniqueness.

Grimer from the Alola region!

The once quiet venue erupted into even greater commotion.

Xia Yan, sitting in the private room, frowned slightly.

It wasn't one of the Alola region Pokémon he auctioned off.

Then the old man explained:

"As you can see, this is a Grimer!"

But it's not your average Grimer. It's a special Grimer from the Alola region, created because the environmental waste there is different from ours. It was auctioned off by a mysterious guest.

After investigation and research, we learned that this Grimer's attributes are no longer just ordinary Poison type; it also has Dark type attributes, which undoubtedly makes its attributes even more superior.

Furthermore! Its properties also differ from ordinary slime; it's currently the only one of its kind, which we'll tentatively call 'chemical power'...

While the old man was still introducing Alola Muk...

While holding Eevee, Xia Yan slowly leaned back on the sofa.

I'm thinking about some things.

Was it brought out by the hunter who entered the Alola region with him?

No, if it were them, they would all have their own top followers, and wouldn't it be more profitable to hold auctions in their own territories? There's no need to go to Miss Q's territory.

Therefore, the possibility is unlikely.

Were they brought out by members of other organizations who entered the Alola region?

Also a possibility.

But the possibility is slim.

Normally, when an organization acquires such a spirit, it will immediately digest it internally, or, if it is more capable, it will study the reasons for the spirit's changes.

Xia Yan slowly sat up straight.

A dangerous glint flashed in his narrowed eyes.

"The most likely explanation is that it was brought out by someone from within the Alola region."

Let's follow this line of thought.

Then everything makes sense.

Xia Yan didn't believe it was just good luck that he happened to be in Jiayuan City to attend an auction and encountered a Pokémon from the Alola region.

If one appears here, there must be others elsewhere as well.

What is their purpose?

Let people in all regions of the League know that there is such a place as Alola.

After all, if everyone is looking for Pokémon from the Alola region, and they know that Alola exists, they will definitely go looking for it, which will put pressure on the League in terms of public opinion.

This means that even if the League doesn't want to open the Alola region right now, it has no choice but to put it on the agenda.

Is someone fanning the flames?

Xia Yan then recalled some information he had obtained during his conversation with Lusamine of the Ether Foundation.

One thing that must be admitted is...

Lusamine agreed to support Natsuhiko in building a branch of the Hunter Guild in the Alola region a little too readily.

Xia Yan originally thought that he had shown Lusamine the benefits.

He gained some recognition from Rosamund.

Now it seems...

It probably has a deeper meaning.

Let's make a bold assumption.

This Alola Muk, along with many other Pokémon that are very characteristic of the Alola region, was sent by the Aether Foundation.

Then.

"Rosamina, this is forcing the alliance to make some concessions..."

Xia Yan's pupils contracted imperceptibly.

He smiled with a hint of helplessness on his face.

"Thinking you know something is too presumptuous. A woman who can lead such an organization is not someone you can easily get along with."

Xia Yan had to re-examine the matter.

Lusamine agreed to support the Hunter's Guild branch he opened.

I am afraid.

They also wanted to use the Hunter Guild's channels to send more Pokémon from the Alola region out.

As a result, there are some things that the alliance can't suppress even if it wants to.

Giving up some small benefits in order to gain greater benefits, or even making some concessions on the alliance's entry policy.

This is the main reason why Rosamund is willing to support Xia Yan.

This approach not only avoided direct conflict with the Alliance and preserved the friendly title of "Caring for the Elves" for the Ether Foundation, but also gave them the upper hand in some negotiations and discussions with the Alliance.

but.

Even if Xia Yan already knew that Lusamine had such thoughts, he would still continue to do so.

Being used as a pawn carries the risk of being used as a pawn, but also has huge benefits.

At least he has the upper hand now.

Take a thousand steps back.

He's an undercover agent!

Even if the Alliance wants to vent its anger, it should go to the Hunter's Guild. What does it have to do with an undercover agent like him?

No matter how shrewd Lusamine was, she couldn't have guessed that Xia Yan was an undercover agent sent by the Alliance to infiltrate the Hunter's Guild.

so.

In this wave, Lusamine is in the fifth layer, and Xia Yan is in the atmosphere.

He still came out on top.

Even he himself didn't know how he won.

Confused and bewildered.

After figuring this out, Xia Yan's expression returned to calm.

But in his heart, he categorized Rusamine as being on par with Sakaki, someone not to be underestimated.

Although her abilities may not be as good as Sakaki's, her meticulous mind is at least not much worse.

Let's turn our attention back to the auction.

That Alolan Muk was sold at a high price.

The price is far higher than what this Pokémon's strength, abilities, and function should correspond to.

"Since everyone is so interested in Alola Pokémon, our auction house has just acquired quite a few Alola Pokémon recently, which we believe will satisfy everyone."

The Alola region's Grimer is just the beginning; the real show is yet to come.

The old man clapped his hands.

Another cart was pushed on.

Xia Yan finally saw the Pokémon he had auctioned off.

Pit-farmer worm!

"This Pokémon, although not an Alola region Pokémon, is still an Alola region Pokémon. It is rarely seen outside, and even within the Alola region, it is extremely rare because its evolution conditions are quite demanding."

Let me give you a brief introduction.

Vikadounon, a Bug/Electric type Pokémon, this Vikadounon is at the Gym Leader level! Its ability is...

As the old man introduced himself, many people in the audience immediately brightened up.
