Bottom-tier trainers in the Pokémon world

"Sister Cynthia, calm down, calm down. Cibana is just that kind of person. He's a bit unreliable, but he doesn't mean any harm," Sonia comforted Cynthia.

Sonia was also speechless about Chibana.

I couldn't help but complain:

"The two of them, one is terrible with directions and the other is a selfie addict, you have no idea how difficult it was for me to grow up smoothly."

Cynthia glanced at Sonia.

As a female driver, you're pretty much on par with them, aren't you?

However, she still said, "I'm fine. I'll just have one more game."

“Yes, yes, yes.” Sonia breathed a sigh of relief. “Just let Xia Yan and Qibana fight, and everything will be resolved.”

But then Cynthia added:

"What I mean is, I'll play one more match after Xia Yan finishes his."

"Ok?"

Sonia was taken aback, blinking her big, bright eyes.

Meanwhile, Chibana, who had been carefully listening to the conversation between the two people behind him, was also stunned.

Cibana: ? ? ?

what happened?

First it was Dan, then Xia Yan, and then Cynthia.

You guys are just focused on one sheep and trying to fleece it, aren't you?

Aren't you afraid of sheep going bald?

The group arrived at the Quan Guan Arena.

When they arrived, the place was already packed with people.

wow——

The appearance of Xia Yan and Qi Bana instantly triggered a deafening roar of cheers from the entire stadium.

With such enthusiastic audiences, it's no wonder the battles in the Galar region are so popular.

"You choose."

Looking at the screen displaying three Pokémon boosting modes—Mega Evolution, Z-Move, and Dynamax—Xia Yan very "gentlemanly" spoke to Qi Bana.

Upon hearing this...

Cibana grinned.

"That's of course... Dynamax!"

thump—

The scrolling on the large screen suddenly stopped.

The audience erupted in cheers once again.

Xia Yan did not use any power-ups during his previous battle with Nie Zi because Nie Zi disliked using Dynamax and did not know Mega Evolution or Z-Moves. Xia Yan did not want to take advantage of Nie Zi, so he naturally did not choose to use them.

But Cibana...

Looking at Qibana, who was standing on the opposite side of the field, eager to try and completely without his previous "terrified" demeanor, Xia Yan nodded to himself.

Raihana is hailed as the strongest Gym Leader in the Galar region, having mastered the ability to fight using the weather, earning him the nickname "Weather Child".

It is said that he could win the championship simply by changing regions, but he himself considers defeating Dante as the most important thing.

However, it's hard to say how much of this "reportedly" is exaggerated by Loz.

Anyway, Dan's title of "undefeated champion" is quite well-known now.

When someone asks about Radan's past loss to Natsuhiko, someone will explain that this is the "unbeatable" status of the Galar region.

In short, when it comes to marketing, Lorz is definitely a powerhouse.

To be fair, Kibana's strength is indeed quite good, at least... at the level of the Regional Elite Four.

The two of them didn't need much preparation.

The battle begins immediately.

and.

The excitement of the battles immediately followed.

"It's 'Fire Dragon Storm'! Blazing Turtle Beast!"

Qibana is known as the "Dragon Storm" by the people of the Galar region, so each of his Pokémon has some kind of storm about them.

"Holy crap, Xia Yan's champion is 'Pink Devil' again? He's been wearing it so often!"

On the field.

Chibana and Xia Yan issued the orders almost simultaneously:

"Blazing Turtle Beast, Sunny Day!"

"Sylveon, be cute!"

Chapter 224 Xia Yan: I've Seen Through You

Upon seeing the Sylveon summoned by Xia Yan, Qi Bana revealed an expression that said, "I knew it."

Because Dan had once lost to Xia Yan, Qi Bana's understanding of Xia Yan might be much greater than Xia Yan had anticipated.

He knew that Xia Yan possessed many Fairy-type Pokémon, which could be used to counter Dragon-type Pokémon.

Unfortunately.

In fact, many of the dragon-type Pokémon in Qibana are not afraid of fairy-type and ice-type Pokémon at all.

Although he and Lance are known as the "Dragon Twins" for their Dragon-type and non-Dragon-type fighting styles, Kibana does not have many of the weaknesses that Lance possesses.

At least.

Turtlemon is not afraid of Fairy and Ice types, and it is not at a disadvantage in terms of type when facing Sylveon.

The massive six-pointed star-shaped tortoise shell emitted a crimson-gold light that shone across the entire arena.

In a short time.

Inside the vast arena, under the energy barrier, the air became increasingly scorching. The blazing sun further demonstrated the extent to which Qibana's Blazing Turtle Beast had mastered the "sunny day" weather.

The nickname "Weathering With You" is certainly not given lightly.

"Buyi—"

Sylveon looked at Turtlemon with a pitiful expression, its teary eyes making any "straight man" unable to bring himself to kill it.

Turtonator's physical attack power has been significantly reduced by Sylveon.

but.

Kibana didn't care about this at all; he just used his phone to cover himself, Turtlemon, Xia Yan, and Sylveon on the other side.

click-

As the flash went off and the photo was successfully taken, Chibana's voice rang out again.

"Blazing Turtle Beast, hatch!"

Click!

Then, the Blazing Tortoise roared, and its heavy armor cracked with a dull thud.

Immediately afterwards, the crimson flames emanating from the Blazing Turtle Beast's nostrils became even hotter, and its aura was greatly enhanced.

Hatching!

It lowers its own defense and special defense, thereby greatly increasing its physical attack, special attack, and speed!

This move.

Xia Yan's understanding is definitely better than that of Qi Bana.

After all, Kona's "Dragon Slayer Shell" was created by Xia Yan himself.

Since Chibana chose to start in this way, Xia Yan immediately adjusted his original tactical plan and flexibly changed it, saying, "Sylveon, Dig!"

"Buyi!"

Sylveon's two bright pink eyes darted around, and it immediately understood Xia Yan's changed tactical objective and next move.

Without the slightest hesitation, its forepaws transformed into the sharpest digging tools, and in the blink of an eye, it disappeared from the sight of Kibana and Blazing Turtle Beast.

Are we going to use the same tactics as when we fought Nie Zishi again?

This thought couldn't help but flash through the minds of the audience.

Even Nie Zi, who was watching from the stands, thought the same thing. After seeing Sylveon disappear underground, his eyes twitched involuntarily as he recalled the fear of being dominated by the "pink devil".

but.

Kibana remained calm and continued to command, "Blazing Turtle, Flamethrower! Clear this area!"

As expected of a Dragon-type Pokémon trainer, his fighting style is bold and unrestrained, and he prefers to solve problems in the simplest and most violent way.

at this point.

Qibana is similar to Du.

Bear!!

Terrifying flames surged forth from the mouth of the Exploding Flame Turtle Beast.

The crimson flames engulfed the entire area in the blink of an eye.

The "blazing sun" high in the sky, along with the boost from "hatching," caused the power of Blazing Turtle's "Flame Jet" to increase dramatically this time!

Hiss--

The ground in the areas where the flames were concentrated was already bright red, and it even showed signs of gradually softening and turning into lava.
