Bottom-tier trainers in the Pokémon world

The crystalline green energy that returns can also improve the condition of the earth turtle.

"Dragon's Dive".

However, facing the defensive stances of Tsuchitai and Bannon, Xia Yan showed no intention of changing his tactics.

Since they've sent out Salamence...

His intentions were also very clear.

Attack! Attack! Attack again!

The enormous figure, spreading its wings and landing, was bathed in pure dragon energy, transforming into a ferocious dragon that roared in.

It charged down towards the earthen platform turtle.

"Turtle, retreat into your shell!" Bannon commanded, frowning.

however.

Before Torterra could fully curl up into its thick shell, Salamence suddenly increased its speed and, contrary to Bannon's expectations, slammed heavily into Torterra.

boom!

!

In an instant.

Amidst the deafening roar of the earthen tortoise, Xia Yan's command remained unwavering.

"Dragon Claw, end it."

Three sharp purple lights flashed and disappeared in the rising dust.

As Salamence flapped its wings and flew out of the dust, dispelling the smoke and grime, Bannon's Torterra had already collapsed to the ground.

Incapacitated!

"So fast?!"

"Isn't it said that they're known for their defense?"

"What a joke! Don't you even know who your opponents are? They're already pretty impressive if they can withstand two moves, okay?"

"You're the one making a joke. Didn't you notice that Xia Yan's Salamence is actually on the same level as Bannon's Torterra?"

"By the way, have you guys noticed? Why doesn't Xia Yantian's Salamence 'Intimidate'?"

"..."

So strong!

This was also Bannon's first thought.

"roar--!

"

The Salamence that returned to Xia Yan roared again, and its momentum surged once more with each roar.

Overconfidence!

Overconfidence: Pokémon with this trait will gain an attack power boost after defeating any of the opponent's Pokémon.

This feature.

When fighting against opponents of similar strength, the effect may not be as good as "intimidation".

But if it's stacked up, pushing the queue isn't impossible.

Bannon silently put the earth turtle away.

Throw the Poké Ball again.

"Please, Roseredo!"

Peng!

As soon as Roseradore appeared, a faint purple mist sprayed from between her two flowers.

"Flame Fang!"

Xia Yan squinted.

call--

Salamence flapped its wings again, stirring up air currents. The surging, swirling air currents prevented Roserade's purple mist from getting any closer.

The speed was so fast that Roserade and Bannon were unable to react for a moment.

Peng!

As the flame-covered teeth snapped shut, fire burst forth from Roseredo's body, accompanied by a painful groan from her.

It has just made its debut.

Before it even had a chance to show itself, it was instantly killed by Salamence!

Simultaneously.

Its fall allowed Salamence's momentum to surge once more.

With one "Dragon Dance" and two "Overconfidence" traits combined, Salamence's physical attack power has received a terrifying triple boost!

This might not be very friendly to the trainers who have finally gotten the chance to wait for him here.

But the "Road to the Championship" is no child's play.

Xia Yan must ensure that he and the elves are in top condition.

Push the team.

Or, to put it another way, brute force is naturally the best option.

Of course.

Which "road to the championship" didn't start with pushing the team?

It took Bannon quite a while to slowly come to his senses.

He then summoned his third spirit.

Blizzard King!

only.

Although the Ice-type Abomasnow has a four-fold advantage against Salamence using Ice-type moves.

But Salamence has already accumulated too many buffs.

A rapid and fierce attack erupted, and even Bannon's Snowman couldn't withstand an attack from a Salamence.

He collapsed to the ground, unable to fight.

Another instant sell-out!

Ordinary trainers on the "Road to Victory" are limited to three Pokémon.

This is the end.

Bannon lost.

but.

He accepted it quite quickly.

after all.

He was prepared to lose from the very beginning.

Or rather, losing was inevitable.

What I couldn't accept at the time was that we hadn't expected to be defeated so quickly.

But he was already content to have fought Xia Yan.

"Report to the Investigation Department after this challenge is over."

As Xia Yan continued to delve deeper into the "Road to the Championship," he left Bannon with a message.

Upon hearing this...

Watching his slowly departing figure, Bannon's eyes blazed with fervor and admiration as he bowed ninety degrees to Xia Yan.

"Thank you!"

A challenge.

It's because he admires Xia Yan.

The result of losing is understandable.

But surprisingly, he got the opportunity to join the investigation department.

This is definitely a great opportunity for Bannon, who comes from a relatively ordinary background!

"This is possible?!"

"Oh no, I regret it. I should have signed up for this challenge too."

"Found it! Xia Yan's Salamence has the 'Overconfidence' ability, no wonder it gets stronger the more it fights... What happened?"

"Bannon has received an invitation from Xia Yantian to join the investigation department."

"this...."

After that.

Xia Yan, accompanied by a Salamence, fully demonstrated what is meant by the ultimate "violent aesthetics".

Regardless of the challenger.

Almost none of them can withstand the attack of a fully buffed Salamence.

We must take the "pushing the team" strategy to the extreme.

and this.

This is also why Xia Yan let Salamence lead the charge.
