Bottom-tier trainers in the Pokémon world

Then he looked at Xia Yan, "Ready?"

Xia Yan stood up.

The elves in the lounge also stood up one after another.

One by one, their eyes quickly shifted from the earlier teasing and taunting.

"Next time, remember to call me... Champion Xia Yan!"

talking.

He pushed open the door and strode out.

The people in the room looked at each other in bewilderment.

After a brief silence.

They all burst out laughing at the same time.

“Go and get ready,” Cynthia said.

"Understood, Boss!" Da Ye replied.

...

...

The Road to Victory.

Officially opened!

The "Champion's Road" in the Sinnoh region is located behind the Sinnoh League headquarters, a mountain road leading north.

While not as dangerous as Mt. Silver, it is still home to many powerful wild Pokémon.

of course.

Nowadays, there are quite a few trainers active in it.

And because this matter has attracted a lot of attention.

Therefore, there are many media outlets and reporters from various regions, as well as dozens of helicopters, ready to conduct real-time broadcasts and live streams, which will allow them to generate a large amount of traffic.

"Here it comes, here it comes, it's starting!"

"It's finally starting!"

"Look, King Xia Yan is walking out of the Alliance headquarters building."

"I wonder if King Xia Yan will be able to finish the challenge. This is the first time I've seen a live stream of the 'Road to the Champion' challenge."

"Xia Yantian: Open your eyes wide and watch carefully, I'll set an example for everyone."

"Upstairs, you're a smart guy."

"That person upstairs, the one upstairs, looks like... the Dragon-Riding Heavenly King?!"

"Wow, wow, wow!"

"..."

Inside the Devon Corporation's airship, Watari grinned as he put away his phone.

Watching the high-definition live stream projected on the screen.

"Is Sinnoh planning to use Cynthia as the final boss?"

Daigo, who was sitting next to him, nodded.

"This is what the most valuable 'Road to the Champion' should be like."

"According to Sister Cynthia, Senior Xia Yan's task this time is really quite difficult." Kona rested her chin on her hand, watching Xia Yan leave the League headquarters building and enter the dense jungle on the screen, and said with some concern.

"I've met the first person."

Tsubaki, who came with Watari, was also staring intently at the screen.

My cousin will definitely be taking on the "Road to the Champion" challenge soon, so I need to write down some important notes.

Otherwise, given my cousin's personality, he would probably miss many crucial details.

"King Xia Yan, I am Bannon from Baidai City. Nice to meet you!"

The boy named Bannon's eyes were filled with eagerness and a strong fighting spirit when he saw Xia Yan.

"Bannon, wasn't he the third place winner of the Lily of the Valley tournament two years ago?"

"I remember him, he was indeed the third place winner, he was just a little bit short of making it to the finals."

"The runner-up from the previous Lily of the Valley tournament came right up. The quality of this 'Road to the Champion' is incredibly high?"

"..."

this time.

Xia Yan had obtained a list of trainers scattered along the "Road to Champions" well in advance.

This includes information about Bannon.

He said with a smile, "Then let's begin."

“Great!” Bannon nodded excitedly.

He immediately took out a Poké Ball and threw it without hesitation.

Peng!

With a heavy thud, a massive elf landed and appeared between Xia Yan and Bannon.

“Tutai—!

"

Turtle!

The Grass-type starter Pokémon from the Sinnoh region.

It is also one of Bannon's trump cards as a Grass-type Pokémon specialist.

Their strength is not weak.

Quasi-King level.

This fully demonstrates the prestige of winning third place at the Lily of the Valley Tournament.

Although it was the year before last.

However, for the vast majority of trainers, the gap between the near-Elite level and the Elite level is insurmountable.

"Bannon started with his ace Torterra? His Torterra has exceptionally strong defense and is very skilled in Grass-type moves." Online comments are keeping up with current events.

Xia Yan nodded slightly.

As his hand swept across his waist, the Poké Ball opened.

"roar--!

"

The crimson crescent moon wings vibrated, sending billowing waves of air rushing towards us.

Its ferocious and menacing face, embodying the pride of a dragon-type spirit, is accompanied by a resounding dragon roar.

Face to face with the Turtle.

In terms of attributes, Salamence has an absolute advantage.

"When did Xia Yan get a Salamence? It looks really strong."

"Is it not a main Pokémon?"

"Choosing to start with second or even third-tier Pokémon? That's very much in line with what's been done by the 'Champion Road' challengers on record."

"But we can't let our guard down just because it's a second-tier or even third-tier Pokémon. Remember, our opponent is an Elite Four member!"

The online discussions clearly did not affect Xia Yan and Bannon.

But Bannon certainly couldn't underestimate Xia Yan.

Anyway.

He is now challenging the number one among the younger generation, a superstar!

Battle begins!

"Earth Turtle, use Sharp Rock Attack!"

Bannon was the first to launch an attack.

Rumbling--

As the earth turtle's body rose and then fell heavily, a dull thud resounded from the ground, and sharp rock pillars rose up one after another.

"Dragon Dance, Take Flight."

Xia Yan spoke in a calm tone.

"roar--!

"

The Salamence roared to the sky, its momentum rapidly increasing and its speed becoming astonishing. It flapped its enormous wings and soared into the sky.

The "Stone Attack" pillar that suddenly appeared in front of Salamence was smashed in half by Salamence's imposing gaze and extremely fast speed.

Bannon's expression was grave.

"Earth platform turtle, grassy field!"

Compared to proactive offense, he is better at defense and prolonged battles, which is more suitable for Torterra's characteristics.

In a short time.

A shimmering green light surrounded its feet and enveloped its surroundings.

The already lush grassland grew even more vigorously after being nourished by the ground tortoises.

Simultaneously.
