Bottom-tier trainers in the Pokémon world

He looked at Xia Yan.

Xia Yan smiled and nodded in response.

really.

In any case, real combat is always the most effective way to test training results and accelerate the mastery of techniques.

This combination is something that Volcanoes cannot fully master even during their regular training.

One reason is that when facing a simulated opponent, the Volcano Moth dares not go all out.

On the other hand, it's also because the timing wasn't quite right.

However, in this actual battle, Volcarona gained a new understanding of the timing of the move combinations and had a higher level of mastery over the combinations.

At least.

That means you've already gotten the basics down.

bang——

Xiao Song's Snow Fairy fell to the ground, her eyes darting around.

"Froslass is unable to battle! Gym Leader Song's three Pokémon are all unable to battle! Therefore, the winner is... Natsuhiko from Pallet Town in the Kanto region!"

"

Xia Yan's first dojo experience was handed over to Xiao Song.

Overall, it was pretty good.

"Eh?! Professor Xia Yan is also from Pallet Town?"

Xiao Guang keenly noticed this.

"hey-hey--"

Xiao Zhi rubbed his nose with a rather smug look on his face.

"Although I was surprised at first, Professor Oak told me that Pallet Town... is full of talented people! Not only do we have Professor Natsuhiko, but also Red-senpai and Green-senpai..."

"Indeed, Zhenxin Town is a place where talented people emerge in large numbers."

Xiao Gang nodded in empathy, "Red and Blue are both very outstanding trainers."

As he spoke, a look of reminiscence appeared on his face.

It seems to remind me of the bittersweet experience of being repeatedly tormented when I first encountered crimson and cyan.

But then I thought about it.

Anyway, he wasn't the only one who got abused twice in a row; there were others with much higher status and positions than him, and the time intervals between their abuses were shorter, so there was nothing to be obsessed with.

"Teacher Xia Yan, Crimson, Green..." Xiao Guang counted on his fingers, repeating several names.

Ash kept raising his eyebrows at Dawn.

Xiao Guang, however, ignored Xiao Zhi.

"And me too!" Ash had to add.

But Xiao Guang gave him a nonchalant sidelong glance.

"Yes. You have successfully lowered the quality of Pallet Town."

Xiaozhi: "..."

"Pikachu pikachu~~"

"Bo-bo-bo~~"

Pikachu and Piplup were so happy they rolled around on the chairs.

"Teacher Xia Yan, this is your badge."

Xiao Song showed no displeasure at being humiliated; instead, she respectfully handed the "Glacier Badge" to Xia Yan.

He continued, "I really learned a lot this time."

The skillful use of those combination moves allowed Xiao Song, who felt she had hit a bottleneck, to find a new direction for progress.

"Just don't blame me."

Xia Yan smiled as he accepted his first badge.

Xiao Song immediately shook her head, and asked in confusion:

"But I'm still very curious, with your skill level, Teacher Xia Yan, why would you want to participate in a dojo tournament?"

Xia Yan lowered his head, touched his nose, and pressed the brim of his hat down.

"Well, I've never challenged a dojo before, but I'd love to give it a try."

"Is this your first dojo challenge, Teacher Xia Yan?" Xiao Song asked, looking surprised.

"Ah."

Xia Yan did not deny this.

But then Xiao Song showed excitement and joy, clenching her fist tightly.

"I succeeded in taking Xia Yan's first time!"

Xia Yan: "???"

That's what they say.

But it doesn't feel the same to me.

Xia Yan reluctantly put away the badge.

"Actually, besides that, I'd like to ask you for a favor."

"What is it?" Xiao Song patted his chest.

“Because a friend of mine suffered some special trauma, I would like to enter the Snow Peak Temple,” Xia Yan said.

"Snow Peak Temple?" Xiao Song frowned slightly.

"I...I want to go to Wisdom Lake."

At this time.

The young lady, who had been sitting on the sidelines waiting for the gym battle to end, immediately stood up and spoke.

boom--!

The dojo's main door was suddenly pushed open.

"Xiao Song!"

The girl who came in was barefoot, dressed in a tight-fitting outfit, with tape on her nose, short red hair, and was in a hurry and breathing heavily.

"Ah Li?" Xiao Song asked, quite surprised to see who it was.

Someone come here.

It was Lee, the Gym Leader of Veilstone City and a Fighting-type Pokémon Trainer.

"Miss Lee?" Ash, Dawn, and the others recognized Lee as well.

Including the young lady and Shinji.

Ah Li was slightly taken aback when he saw that there were so many people in the dojo.

"Xiao Zhi, Xiao Guang, Miss, you're all here?" Ah Li greeted them with a smile, rubbing his nose.

When her gaze fell on Shinji, her expression became slightly awkward, but she quickly recovered. "Shinji's here too."

"Humph--"

Shinji gave a soft hum and turned his head away.

"What's wrong?" Xiao Song couldn't help but ask.

"Come and take a look."

With that, Ah Li turned and ran out of the dojo.

After exchanging glances, the group followed Xiaosong out of the dojo.

With Volcano and Nine-Tailed Fox by his side, Xia Yan pressed his hat down further.

"Well, everything's all mixed up now."

But I still followed them.

We left the dojo.

Then I saw a huge flying machine streaking across the sky.

The appearance of this aircraft is very unique.

At first glance, it looks like a pyramid.

But the young lady's expression turned stern upon seeing the pyramid.

"Team Galaxy?"

"Is that Mr. Kamishiro's Battle Pyramid?" Ash exclaimed.

"Battle Pyramid?"

Shinji's eyes narrowed upon hearing the name.

Then he immediately turned to Xiaosong and said, "Excuse me, Gym Leader Xiaosong, can my gym match be postponed?"

Upon hearing this, Xiao Song was taken aback, then nodded blankly and said, "Of course."

"Thank you."

After thanking him, Shinji strode towards the direction where the battle pyramid had fallen.

"Mr. Kamishiro, we really should go see him," Ash said, and after receiving Brock and Dawn's agreement, they ran towards the pyramid.

"That looks like... where our spaceship is docked?" Xia Yan stared blankly at Nine-Tailed Fox.

"Awoo (yes)~~"
