Chapter 8: The New Mount

After experiencing so much, Sun Wukong and his companions came to a conclusion: no matter where they went, they would encounter monsters, and these monsters would even capture their master. Therefore, they had to make themselves stronger.

After walking for a while, the group was tired, so Lin Yaoxie suggested that we should continue walking like this. Master has walked such a long way, we should find him a horse so that he can ride it and it can also help us carry our luggage when he is not riding.

Several people had already thought of this, but it needed a catalyst.

The master and his disciples walked and walked, when suddenly they saw a boundless sea ahead. Realizing they wanted to cross, they found a boat and set sail.

They happened to see a small boat at sea, but it was too small to fit more than two people. So Pigsy said, "Master and I will go first, and then you can take the luggage and go."

After they had agreed on the plan, Pigsy helped Tang Sanzang onto the boat.

But when the boat reached the middle, suddenly a strong wind arose, and wave after wave rolled in. When the waves subsided, only a small boat remained on the sea, and there was no trace of Pigsy and Tang Monk.

Then Sun Wukong realized that Zhu Bajie and his master must have been dragged into the water by a demon. At this moment, Lin Yaoxie also remembered that they seemed to have encountered such a tribulation in "Journey to the West," and that they had obtained a white dragon horse during that tribulation.

Sha Wujing had lived in the sea before, so he was an excellent swimmer. He volunteered to go into the sea to rescue his master and Zhu Bajie. When Sha Wujing arrived at the bottom of the sea, he heard a group of people shouting that they wanted to eat his master's flesh.

Sha Wujing realized something was wrong, so he went ashore and told Sun Wukong, their senior brother, what had happened. Upon hearing this, Sun Wukong flew into a rage and shouted that he would go to rescue Tang Sanzang.

"Senior Brother, don't be impulsive. This monster is the Third Prince of the West Sea Dragon King. Let's go and ask the West Sea Dragon King to help subdue this monster," Lin Yaoxie said to Sun Wukong after hearing this.

"Great! It's good that you're here, Junior Brother. It saves me a lot of time from asking around about monsters," Sun Wukong said gratefully.

Sun Wukong went to the West Sea and found the Dragon King, telling him that his son had kidnapped his master. The Dragon King was furious, but there was nothing he could do.

"Great Sage," the Dragon King said, "my son has never been close to me since he was little, and I have no way to discipline him. Why don't you try going to Guanyin Bodhisattva?"

"Alright then, I'll go find Guanyin now and rescue my master as soon as possible," Sun Wukong said as he walked.

Sun Wukong arrived at the South Sea and found Guanyin Bodhisattva, who was playing in the garden with her attendants.

"Guanyin Bodhisattva seems to be in a good mood! Do you know that the Third Prince of the West Sea Dragon King kidnapped my master?" Sun Wukong said sarcastically.

"Can't you speak properly, you monkey? I'll go with you then," Guanyin said.

Sun Wukong directly invited Guanyin Bodhisattva to the shore of the sea they had crossed.

"You wicked beast, release Tang Sanzang at once!" Guanyin Bodhisattva said to the demon.

When the demon saw Guanyin Bodhisattva arrive, he immediately cowered and released Tang Sanzang and Zhu Bajie.

"Great Sage, please give this wicked beast a chance to repent. Why not transform it into a white dragon horse and let it accompany you and your disciples on your journey to the West to retrieve the scriptures?" Guanyin Bodhisattva said to Sun Wukong.

Although Sun Wukong was unwilling, he couldn't refuse Guanyin Bodhisattva's request, so he took the white dragon horse and went with them to the Western Paradise to retrieve the scriptures. In this way, Tang Sanzang got his new mount.

Chapter Nine: The Battle of Wits to Eliminate Three Demons in Chechi Kingdom

In the blink of an eye, the five masters and disciples passed through spring, summer, and autumn, and winter arrived.

On this day, heavy snow fell, and the master and his disciples braved the snow and the cold wind to reach the territory of Chechi Kingdom. After the previous incidents, Lin Yaoxie had almost mastered the magic and had reached a level where he could fight monsters one-on-one.

Suddenly, Tang Sanzang heard shouts. He was frightened and asked Sun Wukong to go and investigate.

Sun Wukong entrusted Tang Sanzang to the demon Lin, instructing him to keep a close eye on him. After saying this, he leaped into the air, mounted his somersault cloud, and flew forward.

04 Sun Wukong disguised himself as a little Taoist priest and asked the Taoist priest who was supervising the little monk's work about the situation.

It turns out that twenty years ago, several Taoist immortals named Huli, Yangli, and Luli came to Chechi Kingdom. Their arrival coincided with a severe drought in Chechi that year, so these three Taoists challenged the existing Taoists to a rainmaking contest, and all three won. As a result, the king appointed them as national teachers, and they became the leaders of all the monks in the kingdom.

Sun Wukong was skeptical, so he asked several more monks and learned that it was indeed the case. He also learned from the monks that only Tang Sanzang's eldest disciple, Sun Wukong, could save them. Hearing this, Sun Wukong was secretly delighted. He killed the evil Taoist priest with his staff and released most of the monks.

That night, the master and his disciples stayed at Zhiyuan Temple. Sun Wukong called Lin Yaoxie and Zhu Bajie, and the group went up to the sky above the Sanqing Hall. They saw three Taoist priests chanting scriptures. Sun Wukong and Lin Yaoxie were in a playful mood, so they blew a breath and knocked over the incense, candles and oil lamps.

The three Taoist priests were so frightened that they went back to sleep. After the three Taoist priests left, Sun Wukong, Lin Yaoxie, and Zhu Bajie transformed into the appearances of Yuanshi Tianzun, Taishang Laojun, and Lingbao Daojun, and ate all the offerings on the table.

After the three Taoist priests returned to their room, they felt something was amiss, so they went back to the main hall. They relit the candles, but saw nothing strange, so they went to sleep.

The next day, Tang Sanzang and his disciples went to the palace to return the official documents. Hearing that Tang Sanzang had boundless magical powers, they challenged him to a rainmaking contest with the national teacher. Only after Tang Sanzang and his companions won did they receive the seal.

Tang Sanzang had no choice but to ask Sun Wukong for help, and Sun Wukong gave Tang Sanzang a reassuring look.

At that moment, Sun Wukong asked Lin Yaoxie to cooperate with him. Lin Yaoxie pretended to pray for rain, and Sun Wukong took the opportunity to go to the Dragon King of the East Sea, hoping that he could lend Lin Yaoxie a hand.

The Dragon King readily agreed.

Needless to say, Tang Sanzang and his companions won the contest. However, the king suddenly reneged on his promise, not only refusing to return their travel documents but also demanding that they stay and help the country.

Sun Wukong and his companions were furious and started arguing with the king. Taking advantage of the chaos, Tiger Power, Sheep Power, and Deer Power tampered with Tang Sanzang's body.

430 After discovering this, Lin Yaoxie hurriedly stopped Sun Wukong, telling him to stop making noise, because his master had been bewitched by a demon and was not doing well at all.

"You tyrant, you'd better pray my master is alright, or I'll skin you alive!" Sun Wukong was furious, but he still had to hurry and rescue his master first.

When Sun Wukong was competing with the three powerful immortals, he injured Tiger Power Immortal. Although it was not fatal, it made the three of them hold a grudge. So Sun Wukong thought that they were casting spells on Tang Sanzang to avenge their brother Tiger Power, and that his master's condition was not too serious.

As expected, Sun Wukong easily helped Tang Sanzang break the spell.

Chapter Ten: The Monster Reveals Its True Form

Deer Power Immortal and his companions were very dissatisfied. In order to avenge Tiger Power, they challenged Tang Sanzang to a contest of guessing objects through a wooden board.

Sun Wukong knew that Lu Li and the others would definitely cheat, so he crawled into the wooden cabinet and turned the prop palace clothes into a cassock. As a result, Tang Sanzang won.

The king, still unconvinced, personally placed a peach into the cupboard and asked them to guess again.

Sun Wukong crawled into the cupboard and ate the peaches, then asked Tang Sanzang to guess the peach pits. The king was astonished by the answer and believed that there were immortals helping them, and he began to believe in them.

But Tiger Power Immortal was still not convinced and challenged Lin Yaoxie to a head-chopping contest. Lin Yaoxie was startled. He had only been here for less than a year and was still thinking about finding the right opportunity to return to the modern world. If he were to be beheaded and die on the spot, he would be in big trouble. He hadn't even gotten married yet!

So he asked Sun Wukong for help, and the contestant was changed from Lin Yaoxie to Sun Wukong, while Lin Yaoxie stood aside and watched in fear.

The moment Sun Wukong's head came off, Lin Yaoxie felt a chill run down his spine. Although he knew Sun Wukong was powerful, he knew that if the head came off, the man would surely die. But...

He soon realized he was wrong.

"Head here?!" Sun Wukong shouted, and his head rolled towards his body. In no time, Sun Wukong's head was firmly attached to his neck. Seeing this, Lin Yaoxie couldn't help but break out in a cold sweat for Sun Wukong.

It was Tiger Power Immortal's turn to behead him. After Tiger Power Immortal was beheaded, Lin Yaoxie wickedly plucked a hair from Sun Wukong's body and transformed it into a large wolfhound. Soon, the wolfhound carried away Tiger Power Immortal's head and ate it.

No matter how much Tiger Power Immortal shouted, his head wouldn't turn back. After a while, he revealed his true form—a headless tiger. Lin Yaoxie almost vomited at the sight of the bloody scene.

But later I realized that it seemed to be his fault.

On the surface, Lin Yaoxie appeared very frightened, but inwardly he was secretly delighted, thinking, "I can actually kill monsters now!"

Upon seeing this, Deer Power Immortal forgot to cry for his brother and was only thinking about avenging him. So he proposed to compete with Sun Wukong in disembowelment.

Lin Yaoxie couldn't help but think, this person, no, this monster, really doesn't know what's good for him. Does he think he and Sun Wukong are pushovers? I also have magic powers.

So he took the initiative to challenge the Great Immortal Lu Li. After Lin Yaoxie's stomach was cut open, it healed very quickly, without even a knife mark.

But Lu Li Da Xian was in a terrible state. After his stomach was cut open, an eagle flew in from nowhere and snatched away all of Lu Li's internal organs. Others didn't know where the eagle came from, but Lin Yaoxie knew that it must have been transformed by Sun Wukong.

Seeing this, all the civil and military officials were stunned. In a short while, the Deer Power Immortal transformed into a hairy deer.

Now only the Great Immortal Sheep is left. He wants to compete with Sun Wukong in boiling oil. Sun Wukong is naughty and keeps dancing around in the pot. In the end, he even turns himself into a nail.

The king thought Sun Wukong was dead, so he ordered his men to throw the remaining master and his disciples into a cauldron of boiling oil. Lin Yaoxie refused to comply, so he beat the executioner into mincemeat and threw Yangli into the cauldron of boiling oil. Yangli Immortal immediately turned back into an antelope.

After seeing this, the king shed tears of anguish. He blamed these people for killing his royal advisor and for fighting Sun Wukong and his companions to the death.

"Don't be ungrateful! Those are monsters, they're here to harm you, they want to invade your country!" Lin Yaoxie cursed.

The king then stopped crying, returned the travel documents to them, and prepared a vegetarian meal for them. After the meal, the group left.

On their journey west, they passed a farm and heard a woman crying. Lin Yaoxie, curious, decided to go and investigate.

Chapter H: The Daughter of the Great Duke

After spending more than a year with Sun Wukong, Sun Wukong had taught Lin Yaoxie all his skills. Lin Yaoxie was clever and learned very quickly. He not only mastered all the skills, but even surpassed Sun Wukong.

Lin Yaoxie somersaulted and arrived at the place where he heard crying. Upon closer inspection, he saw that it was an extremely beautiful woman crying.

"Young lady, why are you crying so sadly? Is something wrong?" Lin Yaoxie asked.

"Half a year ago, a monster came to our place and kidnapped all the women. This time, the monster is demanding that my father hand me over so that I can become his wife, but I don't want to go!" The woman cried more and more sadly.

"Don't be afraid, young lady. Leave this to me. I will definitely help you!" After saying that, Lin Yaoxie left to find his master.

After Lin Yaoxie saw the group of 430, he briefly described the situation and told them that this place was Gao Laozhuang.

"Gao Village? Isn't that my father-in-law's house? I must do something for my father-in-law!" Pigsy got excited when he heard this and rushed to eliminate the monster.

Pigsy was about to fight the monster when Sun Wukong stopped him, preventing him from acting impulsively.

"Let's find a place to rest first, settle our master in, and then we can discuss how to deal with this," Lin Yaoxie said.

After discussing it, the group decided to have Lin Yaoxie impersonate a woman and marry the monster in her place.

Soon, Lin Yaoxie married a demon.

Because it was a wedding for a demon, the demon's subordinates and the demon himself were all very happy, and they drank more wine than usual. By the time the wedding night festivities started, everyone was quite drunk. The demon saw that it was time to go back to his room, so he had his subordinates help him back.

Upon seeing the beauty, the monster became even more excited and, in a drunken stupor, headed towards Lin Yaoxie. When Lin Yaoxie saw the monster's face, he couldn't help but vomit.

"You wretched woman, how dare you look down on me! I'll teach you a lesson!" With that, he swung his fist at Lin Yaoxie.

Lin Yaoxie had no choice but to revert to her original form to fight the monster. When the monster saw that this was not the woman he was going to marry, it immediately became furious.

"Who are you (aefe)? What are you doing in my room? Where did you take the lady?" the monster shouted.

Lin Yaoxie knew that the monster was already in a daze, so he transformed back into the woman's appearance.

"Husband, don't you recognize me? I'm the wife you just married! How could you forget me so quickly? I'm going to be angry!" Lin Yaoxie said sweetly.

When the monster saw that the woman in front of him was indeed the woman he had married, he assumed that what had just happened was his imagination. So he didn't care what had happened and walked towards the woman.

At this moment, Lin Yaoxie transformed back into his original form and shouted, "Monster, where do you think you're going!" Seeing that things were not going well, the monster fled.

Lin Yaoxie immediately gave chase, only to see the monster disappear into a grove of trees. After searching the forest for a while without success, Lin Yaoxie returned to their resting place and told the rest of the group what had happened.

"Now that the monster has noticed us, we must be careful and protect our master so he doesn't get captured," Sun Wukong said cautiously. And so they spent the night safely.

Chapter Twelve: The Great Battle with the Tree Demon

The next morning, when the master and his disciples got up, they found that their master was gone, and they hadn't felt anything. They all knew that their master had been captured by a monster.

So Lin Yaoxie and Sun Wukong decided to go to that forest to find the monster's lair and rescue their master.

Sun Wukong and Lin Yaoxie arrived in the forest and searched carefully, leaving no place unchecked. Finally, they discovered a strange old tree, where Tang Sanzang might be.

So Sun Wukong used magic to blow the tree open, and the monster immediately came out. However, the tree was intact, and his master was still inside the tree hole.

After twelve rounds of fierce fighting between Sun Wukong, Lin Yaoxie, and the monster, the monster was defeated and fled back to the tree cave.

Now Sun Wukong and Lin Yaoxie were at a loss. Since they couldn't defeat the monster, they naturally didn't leave their master's side. So Lin Yaoxie stayed there and told Sun Wukong to go back first.
