Dazner nodded, his face extremely grim.

"There are half as many workers as before I left, so the bridge construction will be half as slow."

[Ku couldn't bear to remind Tazuna that if the spread of panic couldn't be stopped, he might end up all alone, and even without Gato's interference, the bridge wouldn't be able to be built.]

Kakashi nodded and said, "The narrator is right. The people of the Land of Waves have never witnessed the terror of the ninja villages, but they have witnessed Gato's power. Even knowing that we are coming will not stop their fear."

He breathed a sigh of relief, finally managing to change the subject. He didn't want to face Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura all at once; if he didn't handle it well, he would be caught off guard and suffer a crushing defeat.

Sasuke glanced at Ku; he couldn't avoid this beating, so he'd let Ku go for now and there would be plenty of opportunities later.

"Erzhuzi, you're getting cocky if you don't discipline yourself for three days. I've noticed you've been getting a bit too cocky lately. Let's find a secluded spot and I'll let you experience my loving iron fist."

Sakura glared at Kong, feeling a pang of sympathy for Sasuke. Having a brother like that, she felt like she deserved a beating every day.

"I won't stoop to your level. Asuma-sensei should be arriving soon. I've missed him quite a few days ago."

Asuma is still regretting coming to the Land of Waves; the last person he wants to see right now is Sora.

Kakashi wore a gloating expression. It was good to see Asuma suffer, otherwise he would be showing off his affection in front of Kakashi all the time.

"Kakashi-sensei, I never thought you were this kind of person. Sigh, Asuma-sensei would be heartbroken if he knew."

"Erzhuzi, this is a lesson learned. Almost thirty and still unmarried, I can only watch others being lovey-dovey and feel the pain of being single."

Kakashi's smile vanished. He planned to test the chakra attributes of the three of them, teach them ninjutsu, and then give them a good beating.

Naruto couldn't wait: "Haha, great! Kakashi-sensei, I'm going to learn the move you used against Zabuza. I'll definitely beat him to a pulp then."

[Ku hates practicing ninjutsu the most. Looks like I'll have to learn a couple of fire-style techniques when I get back, at least enough to deal with Naruto. I just don't know what kind of chakra Naruto has. I hope it's not water-style.]

Naruto Uzumaki inherited the Fourth Hokage's wind attribute, making him well-suited to training the Rasengan developed by the Fourth Hokage.

Sasuke inherited the Uchiha clan's fire and lightning attributes, making him suitable for learning Kakashi's lightning-style ninjutsu and the Uchiha clan's fire-style techniques.

Sakura, she's a drag on the team, let's not even talk about her.

Uchiha Sora, with wind and fire attributes, is a complete novice at everything he tries.

"What do you mean I'm a salted fish no matter what I learn? Narrator: If you've got the guts, come out here. I'll definitely let you taste the enhanced smoke bomb."

Sakura looked indignant; "How dare you say that I'm a burden? If you dare to come out, I'll make you taste my iron fist, Sakura Haruno."

Sakura was all bark and no bite; she was shouting loudly, but she was actually terrified. She only dared to yell because she knew the narrator wouldn't appear.

Sakura felt a little wronged. The narrator thought, "This guy is a bully who picks on the weak and fears the strong. Even though Sora was shouting, why didn't he say anything?"

What difference does it make whether a salted fish speaks or not? Do you expect him to turn things around?

"Haha, Kakashi-sensei, we don't even need to take a test this time. What kind of ninjutsu is the Rasengan that the narrator mentioned? It was invented by my dad. Kakashi-sensei, you must teach me."

Kakashi nodded and said, "The Rasengan is quite complicated to learn. It's best to wait until we return to Konoha and have more time before I explain it to you in detail."

Envy flashed in Sasuke's eyes; he wondered if Kakashi-sensei would teach him Lightning Release ninjutsu.

Kakashi will teach Sasuke his self-created A-rank ninjutsu, Chidori, which Sasuke will then perfect and develop into many other lightning-style ninjutsu.

Kakashi paused for a moment. This was something that would happen in the future. Although the narrator knew everything, he rarely revealed information about the future so directly; most of what he said was already happening.

Sasuke was a little excited. Although he didn't know what Chidori was, just hearing that it was an A-rank technique told him it was no ordinary technique, while the Great Fireball Technique was only a C-rank technique.

"Narrator: Sasuke has learned Chidori. I wonder what I have learned. I heard that wind and fire can form Scorch Release. There is a powerful ninja in Sunagakure who uses Scorch Release. Do you think I can learn it?"

Kakashi was somewhat surprised. The Scorch Release: Pakura incident happened many years ago. How could Ku know so much? The combination of bloodline limits was also beyond the understanding of today's children.

"Kakashi-sensei, don't be so sensitive. These aren't really secrets. There aren't many books about Sunagakure and bloodline limits, but there are still quite a few."

Bookstores in Konoha sell them; it's not exactly a secret. It's just that many people don't like studying, like three students in our class.

Naruto looked left and right and said, "There are no other people in our class besides the four of us. Where did these three come from?"

Sakura punched Naruto on the head and said, "Idiot, the three of us are you, me, and Sasuke. Sora is making fun of the three of us for not being well-educated."

Kong shook his head and said, "How can this be a joke? It's the truth."

Chapter Thirty-Three: Honest People

Zabuza suddenly woke up, his forehead covered in cold sweat, and fear flashed in his eyes.

Bai hurriedly walked over and asked, "Mr. Zabuza, what happened?"

Zabuza glanced at Haku but said nothing.

Zabuza was too embarrassed to admit it, but he dreamt he was being chased and tortured by Gato, to the point where he wished he were dead.

Haku gave a sweet smile and said, "So you had a nightmare. Zabuza-san, go back to sleep. I'll stay by your side."

"Bai, you're being a bit nosy."

Zabuza may have a cold expression, but he's actually quite embarrassed. He's the boss, and having his subordinates treat him like a child shows him no respect whatsoever.

"Narrator, shut up! You're just spouting nonsense."

[Bai chuckled inwardly. It turns out that Zabuza, who is usually so serious, also has a cute side.]

Unfortunately, if Zabuza were to attempt to assassinate Kakashi again, he would only face certain death.

[Bai seemed to be deep in thought, Zabuza is ultimately no match for Kakashi.]

"Don't talk nonsense. I am Zabuza the Demon. This defeat was entirely due to carelessness, and the brats from Konoha also caused trouble. Next time, you hold off four brats, and I will definitely kill Kakashi."

Zabuza was unsure of himself; he was just boasting in front of Haku, not wanting Haku to underestimate him.

Haku was driven out of the door, lost in thought. He didn't want Zabuza to die.

In his most desperate moment, it was Zabuza who took him in; otherwise, he would still be fighting with stray dogs for food in garbage cans. He will never forget these memories.

The Land of Waves plans to ally with the Land of Fire; Gato's actions are like a mantis trying to stop a chariot, and Zabuza is merely cannon fodder for Gato.

Bai paused for a moment, seemingly having made a decision in his heart.

Haku was worried that killing Gato would attract the pursuit of Kirigakure, but he didn't expect Zabuza to die now. It was better to be on the run than to die now.

Bai could sense that the Hidden Mist Pursuit Force was getting weaker and weaker, and the time intervals between their appearances were also getting longer.

It seems that something has indeed happened inside the Hidden Mist Village, but they are maintaining the status quo to avoid revealing their secrets.

"Boom."

A sound came from inside the room, and Bai turned around, pushed open the door, and walked in.

Zabuza lay on the ground, his forehead covered in cold sweat. He only pretended to be calm when he saw Haku enter.

Haku quickly helped Zabuza up.

"Zabuza-san, what happened?"

Zabuza was too embarrassed to speak; he had dreamt again of being chased by Gato, and this time his death was even more gruesome than before.

“Mr. Zabuza, Gato is just our employer. There’s no need to be afraid of him. If Gato becomes a thorn in your side because of the failed assassination attempt on Tazuna, we might as well leave and continue our wanderings.”

"Hmph, Kado isn't even worthy of posing a threat to me. The mission continues. Even if we leave, we still need money."

"Boom."

The door was suddenly pushed open, and Kado walked in with his men.

"Tsk tsk, so this is the mighty Demon Zabuza. He claimed to be foolproof last time, but he still failed."

Zabuza looked at Gato calmly, as if he were looking at a dead man. He planned to kill Gato after he dealt with Kakashi.

He killed Kakashi to complete his employer's mission, while he killed Gato out of personal grudges. Zabuza was an excellent ninja who clearly distinguished between gratitude and resentment.

"Now that you've said that, you can get lost. Don't keep me from resting."

"Pfft."

A thousand needles pierced Kado's throat, and Bai gently withdrew her fair hand, wiping away the bloodstains.

"Bai, what are you doing?"

"Since you have a plan, Mr. Zabuza, why not let me take action and relieve your concerns? Whether you stay or leave is entirely up to you, Mr. Zabuza."

Zabuza swung his Executioner's Blade and killed two of Gato's men with a single blow.

"Come with me to Kado's lair tomorrow. Even if I don't kill him now, I'll kill him later."

The recurring nightmares pushed Zabuza's patience with Gato to its limit. With his employer dead, Zabuza breathed a sigh of relief, but the brat from Konoha was truly hateful. If he had the chance, he would kill that brat.

As time passed, the construction of the Wave Country Bridge proceeded smoothly, and Gato did not cause any trouble.

It's clear that Kado was killed by Haku, so he can't possibly appear. However, the people of the Land of Waves don't know this and remain timid.

Workers have been leaving the bridge in the past two days, fearing retaliation from Cado.

In the distance, a small boat slowly approached.

"The scenery in the Land of Waves is beautiful, like a paradise on earth."

Asuma was in high spirits, Ino was chattering away, while Shikamaru looked listless.

"Asuma-sensei has finally arrived. I thought something had happened to you on the way." Sora's voice rang out from afar.

Asuma's smile froze, slowly fading as he became serious.

A slight smile appeared on Shikamaru's lazy expression.

[Shikamaru felt that he was about to watch a good show, which would help him pass the time. Watching Ku and Asuma-sensei outwit each other was one of life's great pleasures.]

"Boom."

Asuma's iron fist slammed into Shikamaru's head.

Asuma is getting tired of having a student who makes fun of his embarrassing moments all the time. Choji is much cuter; he won't say a word as long as there's food.

Choji nodded as he ate a potato chip, "Asuma-sensei is right."

Shikamaru winked at Choji.

Choji understood immediately and said, "Oh no, I was in such a rush this time that I forgot to bring any money. I know there's a limited edition snack in the Land of Waves, but unfortunately I can't get my hands on it."

Choji looked dejected, as if his wife had run off with someone else.

"Haha, it's just snacks. I brought a lot of money with me, so eat as much as you want. I'll cover all your snacks for this trip."
