He took a step forward and landed right between the younger brother's legs, and the scream rang out again.

Ghost Brother rolled his eyes and fainted. He pushed off with his feet and leaped up, dodging Ghost Brother's iron hand.

Only the younger brother lay on the ground, convulsing.

"Sasuke, this guy is yours."

Sasuke nodded inwardly. His younger brother understood him; he knew Sasuke wanted to test his strength.

Two shurikens flew out, pinning the chains in Ghost Brother's hands to the tree.

"You brat, you're asking for it."

[The younger brother failed, but Kakashi survived. He wanted the older brother to know they had failed today, and even if he died, he would take someone down with him.]

Chapter Twenty-Six: Staying or Leaving

Naruto, who was protecting Tazuna, stretched his arms and came to his senses.

"Hey, you can't handle this guy by yourself, Sasuke. I've improved these days too, Multiple Shadow Clone Technique."

The five clones swarmed towards the Ghost Brother.

[Naruto's plan is excellent. He was so frightened by Kakashi's feigned death that he forgot to think. He can use this battle to cover up the embarrassing situation he almost made earlier.]

Sora laughed out loud: "Naruto, you should thank me. If I hadn't kicked you, you would have been exposed. That kick is worth at least three bowls of Ichiraku Ramen."

Naruto scratched the back of his head sheepishly, "Okay, after this mission is over."

Naruto was completely unaware that Sora's words had completely exposed how he had been paralyzed with fear, and now everyone knew that he had been terrified.

"Kong, you bastard, you were definitely up to no good."

"Don't listen to the narrator's nonsense. You've already exposed yourself. I'm just processing your thoughts. If you want revenge, go find the narrator."

The ghost brother's eyes were bloodshot with rage: "You guys still don't respect me. I'm going to kill you all."

[After all, Demon Brother was a ninja who had followed Zabuza all over the country, yet he was looked down upon by a few brats from Konoha. Feeling humiliated, he decided to take the brats down with him.]

"Fools, once a ninja loses his composure, he's not far from death. Go, Naruto and Sasuke, it's your turn to show your strength. Don't let Kakashi-sensei and that slovenly old man look down on you."

Tazna glanced at him. Was the slovenly old man talking about him? What an impolite brat!

[Ku glanced at Tazuna. They were paid for a C-rank mission, yet they were being sent to deal with a ninja clearly only B-rank, with Zabuza, whose strength was unknown, waiting behind them.]

[That old man is really dreaming. If it weren't for testing his own strength, Kong would have beaten the old man up and returned to Konoha.]

"Little brat, you can't do anything reckless. My back and legs ache, and I often feel dizzy and lightheaded. My poor grandson is waiting for me to come back."

Tazuna glanced at his brother lying on the ground, his legs trembling at the thought of Ku's earlier attack. He'd rather be dead than have been hit by it.

“Don’t scare the employer, okay? The mission isn’t over yet, and Tazna is still under our protection.”

Kakashi appeared on the field at some point, completely clean, without a speck of dust on him.

"Kakashi-sensei, it must be cool in the woods, why did you have to come out?"

"Don't talk nonsense. I'm just observing your performance. The bandits from before were just ordinary people who were a bit stronger. Now you are rogue ninja from Kirigakure, which is different from bandits."

[Kū understands Kakashi's meaning: to a large ninja village, a genin from a small ninja village is no different from an ordinary person. To Kakashi, the future bandit king is not a qualified ninja.]

"Kakashi-sensei, how was my performance? Did it meet your expectations?"

Kakashi nodded and said, "Not bad, a fatal blow, hitting the vital point directly, without any unnecessary frills."

Kong quietly posted a voiceover in the system space:

Kong knew his own strength was lacking, so he could only strengthen his unorthodox methods. Strike vital points, which was a good approach and a combat technique he had tailored for himself.

Kakashi nodded secretly. Sora was a child who could see himself clearly. His previous lackluster performance at the Ninja Academy was probably more due to boredom and childish willfulness.

"Haha, Kakashi-sensei praising me like that makes me feel embarrassed."

Kakashi saw right through Sora's pretense. His embarrassment was utterly shameless; his eyes clearly betrayed smugness, not shyness.

"I didn't expect the teacher to see through me. You two, why haven't you finished yet? Kakashi-sensei is about to take action."

The demon glanced at the sky, his pupils contracting slightly. Sure enough, it was Kakashi, completely unharmed.

"Kakashi, you dare to play tricks on us, you deserve to die."

While the demon brother was entangled with Naruto, Sasuke moved quietly and appeared behind the demon brother in the blink of an eye.

Several more shadow clones appeared beside Naruto and rushed over, punching and kicking him along with the main body.

[The Demon Brother was somewhat bewildered by Naruto's endless stream of shadow clones. After all, having lived in a major ninja village like Kirigakure, he had some experience and understood the meaning of shadow clones better.]

A sharp iron hand swept across, turning one of the clones into smoke. Just then, Ghost Brother felt a chill in a hidden place.

Immediately following was a searing pain that shot straight to my brain, my sphincter contracted rapidly, and a spurt of blood gushed out.

The ghost brother clutched his buttocks and fell to the ground, the intense pain preventing him from straightening up.

A stubborn kunai pierced the surface, and fresh blood dripped down its length.

The demon brother's hand trembled slightly as he gripped the kunai, then suddenly pulled it out.

A bloodcurdling scream rang out, and a large pool of blood gushed out from behind. Ghost Brother's eyes rolled back, and he was on the verge of losing consciousness.

Sasuke aimed at the wound and kicked it, the force of which even produced a loud thud.

Ghost Brother jumped up from the ground, clutched his buttocks, and completely fainted.

Unconscious twitching of the body.

[Sasuke and Sora are indeed brothers; the injuries they sustained were perfectly symmetrical, one in front and one behind, targeting two vital points.]

Naruto felt a chill run down his spine; he remembered that Kakashi-sensei had tried to use this very move against him, but Sasuke had replaced his hands with kunai. Naruto couldn't help but feel relieved that he had escaped unscathed.

"Naruto and Sasuke did a good job, and Sakura did well too. When faced with a ninja ambush, the safety of the employer is the most important thing. This mission has shown me your growth."

However, I plan to stop the mission for now and return directly to Konoha.

Sora glanced at Tazuna and said, "Kakashi-sensei, is it because of Zabuza, as mentioned by the Oni Brothers?"

Naruto, who was about to speak, also looked over and said, "Who is Zabuza that Kakashi-sensei is wary of?"

Kakashi wasn't afraid of Zabuza, but he was worried about the other four members of his team. After all, Zabuza was a renowned ninja in the ninja world, a former member of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, and the owner of the Executioner's Blade.

[Rumor has it that during his graduation exams, he killed all the other students taking the exams. He was the only one in his year to graduate, earning him the nickname "Demon Man," and he was a master of the art of assassination through the mist.]

Sakura was shocked. He was the only one in his class to graduate, and he killed all his classmates. How could someone like that exist?

Sora said, "Kakashi-sensei, you should be able to deal with Zabuza, right? He's a rogue ninja, and he's lucky to have subordinates like the Demon Brothers by his side. He can't possibly have too many."

[Ku's analysis is correct. Zabuza does indeed only have one subordinate left. After being wanted by Kirigakure, he could only live a life of hiding and running. Now he has become Gato's chief henchman.]

Naruto shouted, "Kakashi-sensei, we've finally managed to get out here, how can we go back? I don't want to keep doing weeding missions."

Chapter 27: Limitations of Blood Succession

Tazna suddenly burst into tears: "My son has already died at the hands of Kado, and now my lovely eight-year-old granddaughter is going to die at his hands too."

The Land of Waves is doomed. If the bridge construction fails, all its citizens will be unable to survive and will only be left to die.

Let my daughter spend her life filled with regret for Konoha.

Sakura pouted, "So fake, not even a single tear fell."

Seemingly having heard Sakura's words, Tazuna forced out two tears.

Tazuna was indeed somewhat desperate. He was the hope of the Land of Waves. If Gato killed him, the entire Land of Waves would fall under Gato's control and become a tool for him to make money.

After considering it for a moment, Sora said, "Kakashi-sensei, why don't we help him out? No matter how small the Land of Waves is, it is still an independent country. Protecting Mr. Tazuna is equivalent to gaining the friendship of the Land of Waves, which is more strategically significant than some money."

Kakashi hesitated for a moment, then said, "I will write to the Third Hokage to explain the situation. If the Third Hokage calls a halt, we will have to return and accelerate the mission's progress. We can continue now."

"Great! This time, I, Naruto Uzumaki, will definitely show my skills. I can't let Sasuke and Sora steal the spotlight."

Kakashi said, "Mr. Tazuna, tell us about Gato's situation in detail."

Tazner nodded, his voice calm, but everyone could sense the hardship in it.

A super-rich man, surrounded not only by elite ninjas like Zabuza, but also by many gangsters and wandering samurai, seems to have quite a few people to deal with in order to prevent Gato from interfering.

Kakashi wrote down the general situation in a letter, summoned the Swift Hawk, and took it away.

The next day, the Swifthawk returned with a message that they could continue their advance and that Asma's squad would come to their aid.

"I haven't seen Asuma-sensei for two days. I haven't properly thanked him for the meal I treated him to before."

If Asuma knew what Ku was thinking, he probably would never have accepted this mission. The last person he wanted to see right now was Uchiha Ku.

Kakashi was somewhat surprised and asked, "How did you come to have any connection with Asuma?"

"I ran into him during my break and we had a meal together. I didn't expect Asuma-sensei to be so stingy. I thought he was a nice person."

Kakashi automatically ignored Ku's words; he knew Ku's character well, and Asuma did a good job.

"Kakashi-sensei, why are you helping outsiders?"

"Really? That was said by the narrator. I never said anything like that."

Sakura suddenly interjected, "Kakashi-sensei, should we continue forward, or wait for Asuma-sensei?"

Sakura's heart leans more towards waiting; there's strength in numbers. She's a little intimidated by the narrator's introduction of Zabuza.

Sakura felt that Zabuza was so ruthless that he killed everyone he had graduated with, and that Kakashi-sensei looked weak and obviously couldn't handle it.

Kakashi's strength is beyond the comprehension of a newly graduated ninja like Sakura. Becoming a Jonin at the age of thirteen is a rare feat in the entire ninja world.

Zabuza was ultimately far inferior to Kakashi.

Sakura was filled with regret. She knew that saying he had kidney deficiency had definitely made Kakashi-sensei hold a grudge.

Sora chuckled and said, "Who knows? Kakashi-sensei reads all sorts of strange books all day long, maybe he's developed some bad habits."

Sakura was a little curious, wondering what Sora was talking about.
