Lili pursed her lips and said, "We can't take too much, because Rena-neechan needs to eat too."

Rena was taken aback, but then felt even happier. She imitated Itsuki, rubbing Lili's head a few times and saying, "It's okay, take whatever you want to eat!"

Looking at Lili's adorable little face, Rena gently stroked her head and thought, "So this is what it feels like to touch someone's head. No wonder Dad always likes to touch my head." She felt incredibly happy: "Now I have a little sister to touch my head too."

Lili hesitated and said, "No need. Actually, I've never eaten potato chips before. I just want to try what they taste like. I can't eat too many."

Rena said, "Ah, you've never had potato chips before?"

"Mmm." Lili nodded and whispered, "My parents won't let me eat this kind of thing. They say it's junk food and bad for my health."

“What’s wrong with that?” Rena said indignantly. “What’s there these days that won’t harm your health? Nonsense! My dad does tell me to eat less, but he doesn’t forbid me from eating potato chips outright. He says it’s fine to eat a little bit, just have it as a snack when you’re hungry, and don’t treat it as a meal.”

Lili said enviously, "Linna, your dad is so nice."

"That's right! Don't you even know whose father he is?" Rena said smugly.

If Itsuki were here and heard Reina's words, she would definitely be both amused and exasperated, and would tap Reina's forehead with her index finger. That tone... who's the daughter here, and who's the father?!

Lili looked at Rena with even more envy and whispered, "I wish I were really your sister."

Rena laughed and said, "It's not too late now!"

Lili was inspired by Rena's optimistic spirit, but then she immediately looked down and said, "But I'm leaving tonight, and I might not have another chance."

Reina comforted Lili, "It's okay, you can come to my house to play often in the future. By the way, where do you live?"

“Sanpu Street is right across from Walmart,” Lili said.

"Isn't it very close?" Rena said with a smile, somewhat surprised. "It's so close, you can come to my house anytime."

“But my parents will definitely not agree,” Lili said firmly, knowing that her parents would never let her bother Yiyue.

"What should we do then?" Reina thought about it carefully and knew that Lili's parents would not allow Lili to come to Izuki's house to play.

"Oh right, if you can't come over, I can go to you! If all else fails, I'll have my dad pick you up. Your parents will definitely let you. My dad is the best. I'll give you his number. If you want to come, just call him and beg him to come and tell him you want to come visit but are worried your parents won't come. My dad is the best person; he'll definitely agree!" Reina said, suddenly struck by a brilliant idea.

“That’s right. I can’t come over, but that doesn’t mean Rena-neechan can’t come over, or brother can’t come over,” Lili whispered, then immediately became excited: “Rena-neechan is so smart!”

“That’s right, otherwise how could I be your older sister?” Rena said proudly, her little tail practically wagging in the air.

"Let's not delay, I'll write down my phone number for you first. By the way, do you have a cell phone?" Rena asked.

Lili nodded and took a small red flip phone out of her pocket and handed it to Rena.

This is the first cell phone Lili's parents used, which they gave to Lili. They did this so she could call them in case she got lost or in an emergency.

Rena opened her phone's contacts. There were only two phone numbers listed, one for "Dad" and the other for "Mom," making the screen seem empty.

Rena added two more phone numbers.

One is my own phone number, and the phone number is in my sister's name.

One of them is Yi Yue's phone number; the name listed is "brother".

Reina thought about it and then felt it wasn't quite right. She felt that "older sister" and "older brother Itsuki" sounded a bit off. With a chuckle, driven by her mischievous sense of humor, she changed "older brother" to "younger brother."

"Hehe, that's more like it!" Rena said happily, feeling like she had successfully pulled off a prank.

“The phone number is easy to write down, you should know how to make a call, right?” Rena said.

Lili grumbled, "I'll be in second grade next semester, don't treat me like a little kid! Making a phone call is so simple, of course I'll make it."

"You're really great," Rena hummed in response.

"Rua!" Lili stuck her tongue out at Reina.

Not to be outdone, Rena also stuck out her tongue with a "rua" sound.

"Haha..." The two who made the same gesture at the same time laughed happily.

Chapter Seventy-Two Sweet Potato Balls

Yi Yue parked her car at the intersection and waited for a while before seeing Yi Xue's figure.

"How did the exam go?" Yi Yue asked Yi Xue as she got into the car.

Yi Xue smiled and said, "It's quite simple. I think I'll do very well on the test." As she spoke, she hugged Yi Yue's arm and leaned gently against him, saying, "I won't let Dad down."

"Yes, that's good to have confidence," Yi Yue said with a smile.

Yi Xue slowly released Yi Yue's hand, fastened her seatbelt, and sat obediently to the side.

As Yi Yue drove, looking at the road ahead, her mind was divided, and she asked Yi Xue about what happened during her exam today.

Yi Xue answered with a smile, occasionally cracking jokes that made Yi Yue laugh heartily, and the pressure of the high school entrance exam gradually disappeared.

I drove home.

Yi Yue introduced Lili to Yi Xue: "This is your cousin's daughter, named Lili."

"Hello, little sister Lili." Yixue smiled gently, like an older sister, which made people feel good about her.

"Hello, Sister Yixue! Sister Yixue is so pretty!" Lili said sweetly.

Being complimented on her beauty by such a cute little girl would make any woman happy, and Yixue was no exception; her smile became even brighter.

"You all get to know each other first. I'll go cook. You must all be hungry," Yi Yue said with a smile as she checked the time; it was already noon. She then went into the kitchen.

Lili looked at Reina curiously, then at Yixue with some curiosity, and asked, "Sister Yixue, are you and Sister Reina sisters?"

"Yes, why do you ask that?" Yixue asked.

"Because your hair is black, and Reina's hair is yellow." Lili had actually been wondering why Reina's hair was yellow, unlike everyone else's, ever since she walked in. But children's minds wander, and she'd completely forgotten to ask.

“Oh, so this is you. My mother is mixed race, and her hair is blonde. My father is Chinese, and his hair is black. Reina looks like my mother, and I look like my father,” Yixue explained.

"Oh, I see." Lili's mind raced, "Then why do foreigners have different hair than us?"

"It's probably because of regional issues," Rena interjected.

Yixue smiled and changed the subject: "How old is Lili? What grade is she in?" She didn't want to dwell on this question.

Lili's attention was indeed diverted: "I'm 6 years old and in first grade." Then she immediately added, "I'm going to be in second grade soon!" As she spoke, she held up two fingers and gestured, as if to remind Yixue not to think of her as a child.

“That’s quite a little adult now,” Yixue said with a smile. With her keen eye, she could see right through what Lili was thinking.

Lili was very happy; the word "adult" pleased her greatly. Children like to feel valued and like they are adults. She unconsciously leaned closer to Yixue.

Reina glared resentfully at Lili and Yixue, thinking to herself, "I was the one who did it first!" She pouted and turned on the TV unhappily, turning up the volume to try and get Lili's attention.

Lili looked at Rena, only to see Rena looking at her with a resentful expression.

"Hey, what's wrong, Rena-neechan?" Lili was just a little kid and didn't understand. Rena's unhappiness was written all over her face, but she still couldn't figure out what was wrong.

"It's nothing!" Reina glanced at Yixue on the sofa next door with dissatisfaction, while Yixue maintained her smile.

"Hmph!" Rena turned her head away, clearly annoyed. She smiled and asked Lili, "What cartoon do you want to watch? Pokémon, or Doraemon?"

Lili blinked and said, "Peppa Pig."

"Pfft, cough cough." Rena seemed to choke, and said, not understanding, "What's so interesting about pigs? Come on, let's watch Pikachu. Let's watch Pokémon instead." With that, she searched for Pokémon on the TV and randomly picked an episode to play.

Pokémon is truly a classic; Rena and Lili watched it with great interest, and even Yixue was no exception.

Yi Yue was in the kitchen. Looking out through the glass door, she saw three people sitting quietly on the sofa watching TV. Yi Yue smiled. It seemed they got along very well.

"Cheer up, let's cook them something nice to try!" Yi Yue perked up, tied on her apron, opened the refrigerator, and suddenly found that there was only a little food left.

"Oh no, I forgot to buy groceries." Yi Yue suddenly remembered that she had used up most of the ingredients when she made porridge that morning.

I originally planned to go home and take a nap before going grocery shopping, but I forgot about it because Lili came.

"Really." Yi Yue tapped her head with some self-reproach, realizing that her memory was a bit bad.

"All that's left are clams and cabbage, what can I do with that?" Yi Yue thought dejectedly. "I'd better hurry out and buy some more groceries. Hopefully, the vendors haven't packed up yet." Thinking this, she opened the door and went out, when she suddenly noticed two red bags on the dining table.

The two red bags contained gifts that Xia Hong had brought for Yi Yue. Yi Yue felt they were a bit out of place in the living room, so she put them on the dining table.

"That's it! We can make sweet potato balls for them!" Yi Yue had a sudden inspiration and took out some thin noodles from the cupboard. Clams and cabbage would also be a good match for sweet potato balls.

Immediately go and chop the cabbage and wash the clams.

Soon, a pot of steaming hot sweet potato balls was ready.

"Mmm, it tastes pretty good!" Yi Yue tasted it and nodded in satisfaction. She took off her apron and went out to call them for dinner.

"Lingnai Yixue, dinner's ready!" Yiyue walked into the living room, where everyone was watching TV with great interest.

"Dad, wait a little longer, we'll finish watching this episode soon!" Rena said.

Izuki looked at the TV. "Pokémon."

"Did Dad see it too?" Rena asked Izuki.

"What do you mean I've seen it too? Pokémon is a childhood favorite, everyone's seen it!" Izuki laughed and scolded, sitting on the sofa to watch it with Rena and the others.

The episode ended quickly, and Rena reluctantly turned off the TV: "Let's go eat."

Lili looked at the TV with a pitiful expression; anyone who didn't know better would think someone had bullied her. She wanted to watch some more.

Yixue stood up, wanting to go to the dining table with Yiyue for dinner.

Unexpectedly, Yi Yue said, "Let's eat here."

"Oh, is that okay?!" Rena exclaimed happily, her eyes wide with delight. She hadn't expected her father to allow them to eat here.

Because it's difficult to clean up after eating in the living room, rice grains easily fall on the floor and get trampled everywhere, making it hard to clean up, Yi Yue doesn't allow them to eat in the living room.

"This won't happen again," Yi Yue said with a smile. "You guys stay here and watch, I'll go get the food."

"Oh, long live Daddy (Brother)!" Rena and Rena exclaimed in unison.

Yixue said, "Dad, let me help you."

"Okay." Yi Yue nodded, and the two of them quickly brought out bowls of sweet potatoes.

"What is this?" Rena asked curiously, as she had never eaten sweet potato balls before.

“These are sweet potato balls,” Yi Yue said.

"What are sweet potato balls? Are they tasty?" Rena blinked.

Yi Yue smiled and said, "Of course it's delicious. Try a bite."
