"Women's clothes? Do you want Daddy to wear women's clothes?"

Rena blinked and looked at Itsuki beside her.

"Is there anything else?" Seeing that Reina hadn't left yet, Itsuki asked in confusion.

“Ah, no,” Rena said immediately.

"Then go to sleep quickly," Yi Yue said with a smile.

Rena glanced at Itsuki a few more times. Being the otaku type, she couldn't help but think, "A cute boy? But Daddy probably isn't a boy anymore... However, Daddy is indeed very handsome. If he dressed up as a girl and cosplayed those pretty female characters..."

"Hehehe." Rena couldn't help but laugh as she walked out of the room and closed the door behind her.

"Huh?" Izuki couldn't understand why Rena was suddenly grinning like that. She scratched her cheek, completely baffled.

……

The next day at noon, after finishing her lunch, Rena relaxed on the sofa playing on her phone.

"Rena, you're practically glued to your phone screen! Don't lie on the sofa and look at your phone, it's bad for your eyes. Sit up, sit up straight!"

Izuki said with dissatisfaction, "Rena is sitting improperly. She's lying on the sofa, playing on her phone with her face almost touching the screen."

That look made Izuki furious.

"Hmm, it's nothing, right?" Rena said softly, pursing her lips, feeling that Itsuki was making a mountain out of a molehill.

Izuki glared at Reina with displeasure.

Rena finally gave in and said, "Okay, okay." She sat up, sitting upright on the sofa, picked up her phone, and asked unhappily, "Is it okay now?" She felt extremely uncomfortable in this position and thought to herself, "I hope Dad goes to sleep soon."

"That's more like it," Izuki said with satisfaction, then earnestly said to Reina, "Daddy isn't making a mountain out of a molehill. You're still young, you need to protect your eyes, you know? If you don't sit up straight and your phone isn't positioned properly, you'll easily become nearsighted, you know?"

Rena lowered her head and remained silent.

Izuki continued, "You wouldn't want a heavy pair of glasses weighing down your nose, would you?" As she spoke, Izuki gently pinched Rena's nose.

Rena thought about the boys and girls in her class who wore glasses, and how stupid they looked with glasses. She shook herself and said, "I don't want to look like them, so stupid with glasses."

"What can you do if you don't wear it? You can't see anyway."

"Okay, okay, stop talking." Rena pouted unhappily. "I'll sit up straighter from now on and keep my phone further away, alright?"

"That's more like it." Izuki patted Rena's head. "Rest a little longer, and then help Daddy clean later, okay?"

"Do cleaning? What kind of cleaning?" Rena blinked.

"It's about keeping the house clean. The floors need to be swept and mopped, and the blankets need to be changed. If guests come in and see our house is messy, it won't give them a good impression. We won't feel comfortable looking like that either, right?" Yi Yue said.

Rena whispered, "Then why do we have to do it ourselves? Isn't Aunt Kasumi there?"

“Aunt Xia is about to become a grandmother; her baby just turned one month old, and she’s going back to take care of her grandson,” Yi Yue explained.

Rena complained with a "woof," "Then Daddy, please invite another one."

“Even if we invite someone again, it won’t be that quick. We still have to do the cleaning today.” Izuki gently pinched Rena’s nose. When she heard Rena say, “Well, it’s not too late to clean when we invite someone,” Izuki said somewhat unhappily, “Rena, you can’t be so lazy. Children need to be more diligent. Haven’t you heard the saying, ‘If you can’t sweep a room, how can you sweep the world?’”

"Ugh, sweeping just one room is exhausting enough. Who would be so stupid as to sweep the world for someone else?" Rena pouted.

When Izuki heard Reina's words, she didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

"Alright, let's rest a bit more before cleaning," Yi Yue said, and went back to her room.

"Ugh..." Seeing Izuki's resolute attitude, Rena seemed to have been drained of all her energy and collapsed weakly onto the sofa, wailing.

Chapter Sixty-Six: Cleaning

"Get up quickly, it's time to clean," Izuki said to Rena, who was slumped on the sofa.

The moment this guy saw Yi Yue come out, he immediately adopted a Ge You-style slump on the sofa with a look of utter despair.

"No, I don't have the strength," Rena said weakly. "I'm practically a useless cat now."

"I think it's more like a lazy cat," Yi Yue said irritably. "Get up and do the cleaning."

"What about Yixue?" Reina asked, somewhat annoyed, trying to drag Yixue into the mess. Cleaning such a large villa would be exhausting.

"She has her high school entrance exam next week, so let's not disturb her. Let's just do it ourselves," Yi Yue said with a smile.

Rena immediately refused, saying, "No!" She was a little unhappy. Yixue hadn't done it, so why should she? It wasn't fair.

Izuki tried to persuade Reina several times, but Reina always turned her head and said no. Izuki said helplessly, "Then I'll do it myself. Take your shoes off, I'll take them to wash. Don't wander around, okay?"

"Okay." Rena put her little feet on the sofa, sat down, and started playing on her phone.

Seeing Rena like this, Izuki sighed helplessly, picked up the shoes, and went to the balcony to wash them.

Rena played on her phone for a while, but the more she played, the more uncomfortable she felt. She turned off her phone and said softly, "I'm playing on my phone while Dad does the cleaning all by himself. Isn't that a bit too much?"

"I don't think so..." Ling lowered her head, pursed her lips and said, "Yeah, right, that's going too far!" With that, she tossed her phone aside and ran barefoot to the balcony.

Izuki was washing slippers when she saw Rena running out barefoot. She immediately said, "Why are you barefoot? Didn't I tell you to sit on the sofa and not move around? Your feet are filthy. Come on, put these on." After saying that, she helped Rena put on the slippers that she had just washed and dried.

Rena pursed her lips and said, "Dad, let me help you clean."

"Ah, why? Didn't you just say you weren't going to do it?" Izuki blinked in surprise. How did Rena suddenly change her mind?

"I... I suddenly feel like doing the cleaning, is that not allowed?" Rena said unhappily.

"Okay, Rena is a good girl." Izuki smiled and patted Rena's head.

Rena snorted, "I've always been a good girl."

"Mmm." Yi Yue smiled. "Let's start cleaning."

In the living room, Izuki gave Reina a broom and a dustpan.

"You sweep the kitchen and the entryway, and I'll sweep the living room and the upstairs rooms," Izuki said, indicating that the area Reina was sweeping was small and could be finished in a few strokes.

He just wanted Rena to get some practice; he didn't really want her to help him sweep the floor or do housework.

"Is that all? Don't worry, I'll finish sweeping right away!" Rena said energetically, picking up the broom and dustpan and starting to sweep the floor.

"If I could maintain this level of enthusiasm every day, I wouldn't have to work so hard," Yi Yue sighed, smiling helplessly. "I hope it's not just a passing fad and I won't get tired soon." She picked up a broom and began sweeping the trash in the living room.

The living room was dirty, dusty, with cookie crumbs... Izuki swept up a lot of trash, much of it from food scraps that Reina hadn't aimed at the trash can and had fallen under the sofa.

"I really should have a serious talk with her." Izuki glanced at the trash in the dustpan. Reina really is a handful.

Yi Yue swept quickly and carefully, and soon the living room was spotless.

"Phew, let's see how Rena's sweeping is going." Izuki wiped her sweat and went to the kitchen to check on Rena's sweeping progress.

Upon closer inspection, it became clear that Rena wasn't sweeping at all; she was clearly practicing calligraphy with a broom, sweeping here and there haphazardly.

"Rena, you haven't finished sweeping yet?" Izuki said helplessly. He had already finished sweeping the living room, which was so big, but Rena was still dawdling and sweeping here and there in the small kitchen.

"Almost done! Dad, you go sweep, I'll be done in a minute!" Rena said impatiently, gently nudging Izuki, not wanting Izuki to watch her sweep.

"I don't think the floor will be clean even after I finish sweeping," Izuki said helplessly, gently pinching Reina's nose. "Do you even know how to sweep the floor?"

Rena asked curiously, "Are there different ways to sweep the floor? Isn't it just swept the same way?"

Yi Yue shook her head and laughed, "Sweeping isn't something you can just do randomly. Look at you, there's trash here, so you take the dustpan and sweep over there, and then there's trash there, so you take the dustpan and sweep over there again. You sweep here and there, and aside from whether you've actually swept it clean, all that going back and forth takes up a lot of time."

"Then how should we sweep?" Rena asked, confused.

"Give me the broom." Itsuki took the broom from Rena's hand and demonstrated it to her. "Sweeping is like doing other things. Don't just do whatever comes to mind, sweeping here and there, only doing what your eyes see. That will only waste time. Instead, summarize your goals and put the things you need to do together. That way, things will be easy to solve, saving time and effort."

As she spoke, Yi Yue swept all the trash around her into a ball and then swept the ball into the dustpan. "See, isn't that how you finish sweeping?"

Rena lowered her head and said softly, somewhat unwillingly, "It seems she is indeed a little bit faster than me."

"Okay, you sweep it up. I'm going upstairs to clean the room." Izuki smiled, patted Rena's head, and handed the broom back to Rena.

As she went upstairs, Izuki glanced at Rena, who was diligently sweeping the floor in the entryway. Although she looked clumsy, she was doing a decent job.

Yi Yue nodded in satisfaction, picked up a broom, and went upstairs to clean the room.

Not long after we started sweeping, Rena came up excitedly.

"Dad, I'm done sweeping!" Rena looked extremely happy. "I definitely swept it cleaner than you. Come down and see."

Like a little kid trying to prove himself.

"Hmm." Izuki smiled and followed behind Reina. Reina pointed to the area she had swept and asked proudly, "Daddy, is it clean?"

"Hmm, clean," Izuki praised. "It's very clean." She patted Rena's head.

It's not completely clean yet, and there are still many flaws, but compared to the previous slow and haphazard cleaning, it's much, much better.

"Hehe." Rena giggled, feeling as sweet as if she had eaten honey as she received a pat on the head and praise from Itsuki.

"Dad, is there anything else I need to do?" Rena asked eagerly, her enthusiasm piqued.

"Okay, don't rush. After I sweep the floor, I'll mop it," Yi Yue said.

Reina exclaimed excitedly, "Daddy, hurry up!"

"Okay, you go and rest first. I'll finish cleaning and come down to find you soon," Yi Yue said with a smile, then went upstairs to continue cleaning.

Reina's room was cleaned first, and her own room was almost done. In the end, only Yixue's room was left to clean.

Yi Yue went to Yi Xue's room and gently knocked on the door.

Chapter Sixty-Seven: Confidence

"Dad, come in." Yixue's voice came from inside the room.

Yi Yue opened the door and went in. When Yi Xue saw the broom in Yi Yue's hand, she immediately stood up and said, "Dad, let me sweep."

"No need, I'll do it," Yi Yue said. "Are you busy right now?"

"No." Yixue shook her head.

Yi Yue said, "Then move the chair away, I'll sweep the floor first, and then I'll come in and mop the floor later."

Yixue asked thoughtfully, "Dad, are we doing a big house cleaning today?"

“Yes.” Yi Yue nodded and bent down to sweep the floor.
