After learning what had happened at the hospital, Lily, who was in charge of the guards and the army, immediately summoned more than half of the knights of the lord's guard, and led them herself and Miral to support Lu Ming and the others.
When they stormed into Irithyll behind the portal, their first encounter was with several Pope Knights crushed under massive boulders and a large number of corpses belonging to the Evil Spirit Church.
Looking at the Papal Knights who were pinned down by stones but still wanted to attack their group of several hundred, Miral frowned and said to Lily, "Even after almost two years, these Papal Knights are still as repulsive as ever!"
Lily didn't reply to Miral, but instead directly ordered the knights under her husband's command: "Kill those undead, then we'll advance!"
"Yes!" Upon hearing their mistress's command, the knights immediately sprang into action, killing all the papal knights who were pinned down by the stones! Then, they headed towards the royal city of Anor Londo!
Relying on their memories of having been here before, Lily and Miral quickly led the group to the Church of Yorshka.
It was from here that they truly encountered their enemy!
Twenty-odd undead dressed in white robes were waiting for them there. The moment Lily and the others entered the church, the undead immediately emerged from the shadows and attacked them with throwing knives.
Because Lu Ming's lord's guard was uniformly equipped with the Blue Flame Swords of the ghost mages from the Undead Temple, most knights with decent martial arts skills could use the Blue Flame Swords to deflect the throwing knives thrown by the undead. Only a few knights who had entered the lord's guard through connections, because they were all highly skilled, had a throwing knife pierce their foreheads, fell to the ground with a thud, and lost their lives.
He glanced briefly at the knights who had been forcibly crammed into the lord's guard because of certain people and ended up dying here. The other knights wore disdainful smiles but showed not a trace of sympathy.
They wielded their Blue Flame Swords one by one, killing all the undead and collecting their weapons. After Miral lit the campfire, they rested briefly by the fire before continuing their journey.
However, just like before, the waters of Irithyll were still icy cold, making the knights howl in pain, and even Miraal, an undead, couldn't stand it.
But apart from this road, all other places were blocked off, so the group had no choice but to go this way.
After passing through the sewers and killing three Silver Knights in the room outside the kitchen, they quickly made their way to the building where Sulyvahn had been.
At this moment, Sulyvahn's body is still here, but for some reason, several of Sulyvahn's wild beasts have appeared beside it, guarding their master's body!
"Looks like we're in trouble!" As soon as Miral saw the beasts of Sulyvahn spot them, he knew something was terribly wrong.
The next moment, the actions of those beasts of Sulyvahn confirmed Mirall's premonition.
As soon as the beasts saw Lily, Miral, and the knights, they roared and their bodies crackled with terrifying lightning. Then they opened their mouths and charged at them!
-----------------------------------
Having already stormed into the royal city of Anor Londo, Lu Ming and his companions, relying on the protective skills of the magic shield and Aggron, as well as their sturdy bodies honed by several Iron Walls, have reached the building where the phantom of the Sun Princess once resided.
Along the way, the large arrows, almost the size of lances, fired by the Silver Knights caused considerable trouble for Lu Ming and his companions. Fortunately, apart from a few knights who were injured by the Silver Knights' lightning swords during close combat, no one else was hurt.
Seeing the building with its main gate tightly closed, Lu Ming quickly walked towards a small door to the left of the main gate.
At the previous location, Lu Ming did not see Yorshka, the leader of the Darkmoon Knights, at the top of the Yorshka Cathedral, nor did he find the transparent bridge in the game.
Here, Lu Ming did not see the corpse of the giant blacksmith from the first generation.
Frowning, Lu Ming stared at the staircase leading to the second floor of the main hall, lost in thought. But soon he led his men up the stairs and into the main hall.
Here, Lu Ming and the others saw the remaining thirty-two members of the Evil Spirit Church locked in a fierce battle with the Dark Curse Master and a large group of bishops from the Dark Church.
While Shadow Cloak could protect the members of the Church of the Dark from the fireballs of the bishops of the Cathedral of the Deep, at this moment, apart from the seven high priests including Shay, everyone else was completely overwhelmed. Aside from using Shadow Cloak to evade the attacks of the Dark forces and avoid being easily killed, there was nothing else they could do.
After glancing briefly at the battle between the evil forces of the Church of Evil Spirits and the Church of the Deep, Lu Ming and one of the agile knights from the guard secretly assassinated all the bishops of the Church of the Deep on the second-floor platform!
To everyone's dismay, the knight carelessly caused a corpse to fall from the second-floor platform to the first floor. The sound of the corpse hitting the ground attracted the attention of the Evil Spirit Church and the Dark Forces!
"Damn it!" Seeing that the enemy had discovered them, Lu Ming cursed under his breath and began attacking them with his Soul Arrow. Meanwhile, Lu Ming's knights leaped down from the platform, wielding their sharp blue flame swords to kill many of the bishops of the Deep Cathedral and also slaying the Deep Cursed One.
However, upon discovering Lu Ming and his group, the members of the evil cult immediately rushed into the white mist gate in the main hall, attempting to use it to block them. Unfortunately, they had no idea what awaited them behind the white mist gate.
After swiftly wiping out the forces of the Netherworld, Lu Ming walked step by step to the White Mist Gate, slowly reaching out his hand towards it.
“Eldridge…” Taking a deep breath, Lu Ming then led the knight, along with Boscodora, Wilson, and Winsland, into the room behind the white mist door.
The ground was covered in disgusting black mud, which not only emitted a foul stench but also corroded everyone's souls.
Meanwhile, those members of the Evil Spirit Church who had entered the White Mist Gate earlier than Lu Ming and the others were locked in combat with a monster whose upper body was that of a human wielding what looked like a long sword or spear, while its lower body was composed of black mud and something else unknown, resembling a caterpillar.
The members of the Evil Spirit Church were no match for that monster. Whether it was the sweeping attacks of strange weapons, the rain of moonlight arrows shot from the golden bow, or the incredibly powerful magical attacks, they would all be killed by it.
In just a few minutes, they went from thirty-two to only five people, killed by the monster...
"Lu Ming? Hehe! What, you can't wait for me to eat you up?" The monster saw Lu Ming and the others, especially after seeing Lu Ming, and couldn't help but chuckle. It smiled at Lu Ming in a voice that sounded like a girl's.
"Who ate whom, we don't know yet! Eldridge!" Drawing his longsword, Lu Ming stared coldly at the monster, a dangerous smile spreading across his face.
Hearing this, Eldridge said with some regret, "It's a pity that what's here is only a part of my soul and illusion. Otherwise, I really would like to taste what your flesh and blood taste like!"
"..." Upon hearing this, Shay and the others couldn't help but let out a bitter smile. They hadn't expected that the monster that had slaughtered them so brutally was merely an illusion, which filled them with despair.
But why would Eldridge care about the thoughts of humans, whom he considered nothing more than food and ants?
At this moment, all he cared about was how he ended up back in this godforsaken place!
"Hey! Lu Ming, do you know what's going on here? I clearly left this place and went to Plu, so why did a part of my soul come here and become this phantom?" Looking at the familiar room, Eldridge suddenly asked Lu Ming inexplicably.
As an enemy, Lu Ming naturally wouldn't answer Eldridge's question. Moreover, Lu Ming didn't know what was going on either.
Seeing Lu Ming remain silent, only staring coldly at him, Eldridge suddenly laughed and said, "Forget about these troublesome things. Now let me, Eldridge, tell you just how big the gap is between the Undead Legion and the other Lords of Cinder when they're alone!"
As he spoke, his eyes suddenly turned cold!
Lu Ming silently took out the Farron Greatsword and dagger, adopted the Undead Legion's salute, and prepared to kill the phantom of the Lord of Cinder before him!
-----------------------------------
After losing more than twenty knights, Lily and Miral finally led the knights to kill the last few of Sulyvahn's beasts and fought their way to the royal city of Anor Londo.
Because they had never been here before, it took them a long time to find the right path.
Although the Silver Knights along the way had been wiped out by Lu Ming and his group, the Papal Knights who had broken into the royal city caused them considerable trouble because of the absence of the Silver Knights.
Moreover, the bishops of those deep, secluded churches were a huge headache for Lily and her friends.
Hiding behind the knights' large shields, Miral used magic to kill the bishops who had become ghosts one by one, while some knights who did not carry shields began to fight back with the throwing knives they had obtained at the Church of Yorshka.
However, the fireballs cast by those from the Dark Forces were still quite powerful. After they were all wiped out, many of the knights' greatshields melted and deformed from the flames, and the knights themselves suffered burns of varying degrees.
Fortunately, no one died here this time.
They finally arrived at the mechanism leading to Lu Ming's current location, but had to stop there to wait for the knights because several of them were injured.
Listening to the knights recount their battles against the Silver Knight, the Papal Knight, the Archbishop of the Deep, several giants, and two knights from Dorangreg, Lily and Miral realized the immense dangers Lu Ming and his companions had faced. Yet, thanks to Lu Ming and Aggron's magic and skills, they had achieved zero deaths. In contrast, their own side…
Somewhat doubtful of her own abilities, Lily arranged for the knights to send the injured knights who could no longer fight back to the world on the other side of the portal, while leading the other knights and Miral on their way.
However, when they entered the main hall through the small door on the left, they suddenly realized that there were too many of them. Even though there was a lot of space behind the White Mist Gate, it was impossible to fit several hundred people in it. So Lily made a quick decision and selected five of the strongest knights to go behind the White Mist Gate with her and Miral.
Looking at the eerie white mist door, the five knights couldn't help but swallow hard. After all, they had never seen anything so bizarre before—a layer of thick white mist serving as a door, separating the main hall from the rooms inside.
Neither of the two ladies showed any fear or shock at the White Fog Gate, so naturally, the others could not be intimidated either. They took a deep breath and followed Lily and Miral into the room behind the White Fog Gate.
Unlike Lu Ming's group, Miral and her companions entered a sunlit sanctuary after passing through the White Mist Gate. There, they saw a triangular box shimmering with white light, and a knight dressed in golden armor, resembling a large, fat man, carrying the golden hammer that Lu Ming had found in Irithyll.
"Undead, how dare you trespass on Her Highness the Princess's temple! You have disgraced this loyal knight!" Upon discovering Miral and the others, the golden knight roared at them in extremely violent language, "For my honor, let me, Smo, now utterly smash you undead who have desecrated this temple!!"
Then, like a sadistic butcher, the knight charged at Miral and the others, wielding a large hammer.
Seeing this, Miral and the others were startled and quickly scattered. Lily, on the other hand, immediately unleashed a ball of electricity, which struck Smo's armor.
"Electric Ball? That's Onstan's signature move? Are you from the Dragon Hunters?" After being hit by the Electric Ball, Smo patted the spot that hit him as if nothing had happened, but Lily's skill made him pause for a moment and ask.
But soon he added, "No! You're not with the Dragon Hunters!"
After saying that, he raised the sledgehammer and began smashing it down on Lily. As he smashed, he yelled, "Speak! Why isn't that bastard Onstan back yet?! Didn't he go to get reinforcements?! Why hasn't he come back even after I'm dead?!"
Smo's shouting left Lily and the others completely bewildered. They didn't understand what was happening, nor did they know who Smo and Onstan were. Naturally, they couldn't answer Smo's questions, much less stop his attack. For a moment, they felt a bitter taste in their mouths, unsure of what to do.
The strongest among them are only Lily, Miral, and an elderly swordsman knight. Defeating Smo would be extremely difficult.
The higher the agility, the greater the damage of the electric ball. Between Lily and Sham, Sham is a relatively average warrior, while Lily is an agility-based warrior. Even if it were Lu Ming, before he used Nitro Charge to enhance his speed twice, the power of his electric ball would still be less than that of Lily's electric ball.
Even so, the damage Lily's electric ball caused to Small was very small, almost negligible.
This situation is truly despairing!
But Lily and Miral weren't going to give up, because you never know the outcome until you try! (To be continued.)
Chapter Sixty-Eight - The Box of the Undead
Lu Ming and Eldridge exchanged a glance from afar, and the next moment they charged at each other.
Eldridge brandished his weapon and viciously swung it at Lu Ming.
Upon seeing this, Lu Ming immediately leaped forward to avoid Eldridge's sweeping attack, and the instant he landed, he turned around and delivered a counterattack.
But with a clang, Lu Ming's greatsword struck Eldridge's longsword heavily.
It turned out that when Eldridge saw Lu Ming dodge his attack, he didn't hesitate to turn around and use his weapon to block any possible attacks. As expected, Lu Ming launched an attack the instant he landed.
However, just as Eldridge was feeling smug after blocking Lu Ming's counterattack and preparing to retaliate, Lu Ming suddenly opened his mouth and spat out a series of seed machine guns, catching Eldridge completely off guard.
Every bullet from the seed machine gun was fired into Eldridge's body, causing countless sludge particles to splatter from his wounds.
Because of his injury, Eldridge immediately used a special dark technique, using a powerful dark impact to knock Lu Ming away, while he himself disappeared into the deep darkness.
Getting up from the ground, Lu Ming suddenly swung his Franz Greatsword, unleashing the Nitrogen Charge, which wrapped flames around the greatsword.
Taking a deep breath, Lu Ming stomped his foot on the ground and charged towards the direction diagonally opposite him. Using the momentum of his run, Lu Ming suddenly leaped into the air, raised his greatsword high, and brought it down with tremendous force!
At the same time, Eldridge returned to the room from the deep darkness, and his location was exactly where Lu Ming's Farron Greatsword was about to strike!
However, the Lord of Cinder is the Lord of Cinder; after all, he is a phantom constructed from a remnant soul, and his power should not be underestimated.
Seeing that Lu Ming knew in advance where he would return to the room and launched an attack, Eldridge showed no panic whatsoever. Instead, he looked forward to the day when he could devour this fire-controlling guy!
Just as Lu Ming's greatsword was about to strike him, Eldridge suddenly swung his weapon, forcefully blocking Lu Ming's powerful attack, and freed one hand to unleash a Darkmoon Spear at Lu Ming.
Left with no other option, Lu Ming had to use his incredible speed to dodge Eldridge's attack. However, while dodging, Lu Ming suddenly flashed behind Eldridge and viciously slashed his sword into Eldridge's back, leaving a gruesome wound!
However, Eldridge's homeland was mud, and this phantom was even more so. So, a few seconds after being struck by Lu Ming, the wound on Eldridge's body quickly healed as the black mud gushed from it filled the wound! Moreover, he once again swung his weapon and attacked Lu Ming.
Seeing this, Lu Ming was not discouraged. He dodged Eldridge's attack with high speed, hung the dagger in his hand at his waist, and drew the Irithyll Straight Sword from its sheath, preparing to fight Eldridge's phantom in the form of a berserker.
Those who came with him were now completely unable to join the fight between the two; they were just lucky to escape being caught in the crossfire. Moreover, they needed to capture all the members of the evil cult to prevent them from causing trouble or escaping. After all, they suspected that what had happened to Count Helmphis was the work of these wicked individuals. How could they not bring them back and thoroughly interrogate them, thus failing to honor Helmphis and the severely wounded knights?
However, compared to those others, Aggron could easily have entered the battle. The reason it didn't was because it was waiting for an opportunity—an opportunity to severely damage Eldridge!
Relying on the Nitrogen Charge, Lu Ming's speed increased, and this speed gradually began to suppress Eldridge.
Flames danced with each strike of the greatsword, and the scorching heat waves burned Eldridge's body under Lu Ming's relentless attacks, gradually draining his strength.
The mud on the ground and on Eldridge's body was slowly dried by the heat waves of the nitrification charge, causing Eldridge great pain.
After parrying another attack from the Farron Greatsword, only to be struck by Lu Ming's Irithyll Straight Sword, Eldridge simply gave up on defense and drew his Moonlight Arrow and Darkmoon Bow. Despite Lu Ming's attacks, he forcefully fired the Moonlight Arrow into the sky.
Instantly, countless moonlight arrows rained down from the sky, forcing Lu Ming to retreat.
