Tennys, who was driving and adjusting something, answered in a muffled voice.

"Thank you..."

Knowing the risks involved, Sal thanked her profusely, only to be met with a soft laugh from Tannis.

"There's nothing to thank me for. If the Burning Legion hadn't been destroyed, everything would have been over."

——————————————Demonic Blood Orc Camp————————————————

"Chief Grom, we have lost a third of our men, and a small number of them are no longer combat-ready."

Grom's adjutant, his body wrapped in thick bandages, reported the losses on Grom's behalf.

"Hoo... what does Master mean?"

Grom slowly stood up after putting Gorehowl back behind him, staring at his lieutenant who could clearly be classified as 'incapacitated'.

"The master's intention is to let the useless ones fend for themselves, and the rest will follow him to continue the raids after he recovers."

"I understand what Master means, you good-for-nothing."

Grom casually cleaved his lieutenant in two with an axe, then strode out of the camp and into the forest, carrying Gorehowl on his shoulder.

After walking for about half an hour, Grom stopped.

“I know you’re here, Sal, come out.”

Accompanied by rustling sounds, Thrall, Tanya, Jaina, and Thrall's personal guard emerged from the forest.

"Grom...you're awake now?"

Seeing that Grom didn't seem to be driven by bloodlust at all, Thrall was slightly taken aback.

“I’ve been perfectly lucid, Sal.”

"Then come back, Grom. We need your strength to drive out the Burning Legion."

Grom's gaze changed; he looked at Thrall as if he were an idiot.

"Thrall, you're the one who's out of your mind. I don't know why you're bringing our people and these weaklings together. You should be with me to receive the master's blessing, to let their land be stained red with their blood, and to let their world tremble under our battle axes!"

"That's not a blessing, it's a curse!"

"You mean, you reject your master's glory, Sal...?"

As he spoke those words, Grom had already leaped in front of Thrall, and Gorehowl mercilessly slashed at Thrall's head.

With a dull thud, Grom's Bloodhowl was caught by another battle axe.

“Your opponent is me, Grom.”

Brox gripped his weapons with both hands, meeting Grom's burning gaze without fear.

"Brookes... Ha, looks like you're tired of living!"

Grom roared, and countless demonic orcs, lesser demons, hellhounds, and demon guards rushed out of the forest and pounced on the squad.

"Blood sacrifice! Begin!!!"

53. The Warrior's Battle

Flames, flames, flames.

Lightning, lightning, lightning.

Explosion, explosion, explosion.

Puffs of smoke and dust exploded in the forest, hurling dirt, rocks, trees, and various debris into the sky. The robot army that Tanis had summoned at any cost displayed astonishing combat power. Although they were not very durable as they came off the assembly line, their fearless nature and critical self-destruct function caused at least a quarter of the Burning Legion's forces to perish on them.

Beside Tanis, Jaina was also wholeheartedly channeling her magic. Several large water elementals had already rushed into the battlefield at her command, pouring deadly ice over the demons and demonized orcs. As these elemental creatures ravaged the land, several 'ice sculptures' of various shapes had already appeared on the ground.

While Tanis and Jaina were displaying their abilities, Thrall was not idle either. With the approval of the Archdruid, the nature spirits of Ashenvale were willing to help this intelligent being, whose path was peculiar but who could communicate with them to a certain extent. At Thrall's call, the wind and earth of Ashenvale rose up, creating all sorts of fissures and cyclones, trapping the Burning Legion's lackeys in them and tearing them to shreds.

However, the most intense battle on the battlefield was not between these three, but between Grom and Brox.

"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!!"

"Swish! Swish! Swish!!"

The two, who could be considered the pinnacle of orc warriors in terms of mind, body, and skill, were engaged in a desperate battle on a clearing that may have been deliberately left for them. Every swing of Gorehowl was accompanied by a deadly shriek, and every strike from Grom was aimed at Broxigar's vital points. However, Broxigar always found the right angle and position to block Grom's battle axe, and then used a more precise counterattack to force Grom to slow down his offensive.

“You should share in our master’s glory, Broxigar! Look at Thrall! He is weak, incompetent, and has even made a pact with our nemesis, humanity! He seeks only a peaceful and stable life! There is no place for us warriors in his planned future! Wake up, Broxigar! Only by serving the Burning Legion can you find your true self!”

"Before we were seduced by the demons, our lives in Draenor, though not peaceful, were stable... After being seduced, we waged one wrong and dishonorable war after another, plunging our race into a quagmire. Finally, we had Warchief Thrall—the Warchief who could pull us out of the bloodthirsty abyss! And you actually want us orcs to jump back, Grom!!"

Broxigarh roared and pushed forward with both hands, crossing the handle of his battle axe with the handle of Grom Gorehowl's axe. The two men took a firm stance and began to wrestle.

"You're wrong. His actions only deserve the word 'weak'! Broxigar! Look what you've become of you under Thrall's influence! I heard about what happened when you were gathering timber, and your first reaction was to negotiate... to negotiate with the people who attacked us... If it were me, I would have gathered more timber much faster and better..."

“Your mind has been clouded by bloodlust, Grom. You shouldn’t be like this.”

Broxigarst's muscles bulged as he gritted his teeth and persevered. Although he was also a well-trained warrior, his strength was clearly inferior to Grom's, who was supported by demon blood.

"This is... how I should be! All orcs... should be like me!"

Grom roared, further squeezing out the demonic blood within him. A swirling mist of blood rose around him, making him appear as if he had transformed into an orc forged from blood.

"Without orcs, you'd look like this, Grom!!!"

Brox also let out a roar. With his potential fully activated, blood was flowing from the corner of his mouth because he clenched his teeth too tightly. His eyes were also slightly bulging due to the force he exerted, and there were bloody marks on his hands.

"Click..."

Finally, in the struggle between the two orc warriors, cracks appeared on Broxigar's weapon, which was not of very good quality. The cracks spread out of control, and finally, with a loud bang, the handle of Broxigar's battle axe broke into several pieces, while the relatively intact blade fell to the ground, echoing.

“You shouldn’t be my enemy, Brox. You could have been my best ally.”

Although Broxigarh took immediate action upon discovering the crack in his battle axe, this only prevented him from being injured by the broken axe. Grom, wielding Bloodhowl, completely disregarded the fact that his opponent was unarmed and closed in, ready to decapitate Broxigarh.

Just when Broxigarst seemed to be about to die, a log fell from the sky and, by sheer bad luck, struck the very front of Grom's Bloodhowl. Grom, whose center of gravity was too far forward, was caught off guard and nearly fell flat on his face.

When Grom regained his balance, the scene that came into his view was Brox carrying the fallen log, using it as a stick, and striking his chest heavily.

"You think you can defeat me like this?"

Faced with such a threat, Grom rolled away to dodge Broxigar's swing, and at the same time used Bloodhowl to slash at Broxigar's unsuspecting leg, intending to cripple his enemy first.

"Click!"

Gorehowl was caught by a branch that suddenly fell from the log Broxigar's hand. Although Gorehowl broke through the obstacle in less than a second, in a battle between experts, that slight time difference could be fatal! In that instant, Grom's head was struck heavily by Broxigar's log!

"Oh!"

Even with the enhancement of demonic blood, being struck hard in a vital area like the head is still a terrible thing. Grom felt his head go heavy and the things in front of him became blurry.

"Bang!!"

Undeterred by his momentum, Brox spun 180 degrees with his right foot as the center and struck Grom hard in the chest with the piece of wood. Grom, still dizzy, could not withstand the blow and collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath.

"The third strike!"

The last thing Grom saw before he lost consciousness was Brox hitting his head with that piece of wood once again.

——————————————Strange dividing line————————————————————

"........"

Cenarius slowly lowered his arm, his expression calm and composed. If he hadn't intervened and summoned the trees on the battlefield to help Broxigar, Broxigar would most likely have been killed on the spot by Grom.

'Broximan...please forgive me for not being able to meet you.....'

54. Slaying Demons

"Cough... cough..."

Enduring the excruciating pain, Grom slowly opened his eyes. As his pupils focused, the scene before him gradually became clear, and memories flooded into his brain like a tidal wave.

"I... my God, what have I done...?"

Recalling his actions, Grom clutched his head in anguish—he had once again plunged his tribe into the abyss! Once again!

"you're awake?"

Thrall's voice reached Grom's ears.

"Great Chief...I...I'm so sorry..."

Grom looked at Thrall, who was clearly haggard from the forced march, and tried to say something, but he found that he could only offer a weak apology.

“If you want an apology, apologize to your tribe. Because of your recklessness, they have fallen into a bloodthirsty abyss. We have done everything in our power, but we have only managed to restore the sanity of a small portion of them. Moreover, according to Jaina and Tanis, this restoration is very likely to be temporary! If a way to break the curse cannot be found, your clan will spend the rest of their lives tormented by bloodlust!”

Thrall was furious at Grom's face. If Grom weren't his elder, he would have already given this old chieftain, who had committed a heinous crime, a good 'care' with his fists.

"There are ways to permanently remove the curse, but they are all very troublesome."

Jaina lifted the curtain and entered the room. Grom, feeling guilty, grinned for the first time and tried to be friendly to the human in front of him.

"Jaina? You mean there's a way to permanently remove the curse of the demon blood from us orcs?"

A hint of surprise appeared on Sal's face.

"The first method is to find a benevolent creature stronger than Mannoroth and have all the orcs drink its blood. This would neutralize the effects. However, this method is not only troublesome, but it also makes many beings enemies."

"What about the second one?"

Thrall completely ignored Jaina's first proposal. Mannoroth was the king of the pit lords, and in his mind, there was no benevolent being stronger than him.

"Kill Mannoroth's physical body in the material plane. Due to the nature of demons, when his soul is banished back to the Twisting Nether, the power of everything related to his physical body that he left behind in the material plane will be 'reclaimed' unless locked by special means. This naturally includes the blood he left on you. Once Mannoroth's blood loses its power, the source of the curse on you will also cease to exist."

“I know where it is hiding, Great Chieftain. Give me my Bloodhowl, and I will lead you to it.”

Grom struggled to sit up in bed, a fire burning in his eyes.

"Your body is too strained, Grom!"

Seeing Grom's actions, Thrall spoke up to stop him.

Grom smiled.

“I must do this, Sal. Everything began with me, so everything must end with me.”
