Marvel's Death Merchant

Tang Tian, of course, had no idea that his old rivals and former friends would all arrive here, and that the Marvel Universe was becoming increasingly exciting because of Tang Tian's presence. This might be the result of Tang Tian's continuous self-development, and things might change a lot in the future, but nothing could stop this arms dealer from continuing his operations.
The Resident Evil crisis has begun, but it won't affect Tang Tian's next plan. Tang Tian has sent Leon, the protagonist of Resident Evil, to an undeveloped Left 4 Dead world to further enrich Leon's combat experience. (To be continued...)
Chapter 150 Virtual Reality World
“Leon Scott Kennedy and Jie Liang, you are both personnel selected by Umbrella Corporation. I need you to undergo training in the virtual reality world so that you can fully integrate into Umbrella Corporation,” Tang Tian said to the two people beside him at Umbrella headquarters in New York City.
"Yes, boss, I will try my best." The handsome blond Leon said earnestly to Tang Tian. Of course, if nothing unexpected happens, Leon will join the Tokyo Raccoon City Police Department, just like before.
"Understood, boss. But I feel like I've seen you somewhere before." Jie Liang scratched his head, feeling a sense of familiarity with Tang Tian beside him.
"Very well, Leon, enter the world I've chosen for you, the Path of Survival," Tang Tian said calmly to Leon, ignoring Jie Liang. Leon acknowledged and began connecting to the Mechanical Emperor's virtual reality network.
In the virtual reality survival world, the same slogan appears everywhere: "Wash your hands frequently, it can save your life." This proves how terrifying the virus is.
Leon's consciousness is slowly entering this complete world, and the background of this world is also being perfected.
A mutated rabies virus infection has broken out and is beyond repair. It is now the early hours of the morning, and an armored vehicle is traveling towards the affected area. In addition to the driver, five other people are sitting in the back of the armored vehicle, dozing off.
In a daze, the five people thought of their previous mission. On the CEDA border defense department's training ground, there were six people, one of whom was serious and looked at the five people in front of him without smiling.
"Today," the instructor-like man finally spoke, "you five are being sent to the plague zone for reconnaissance. You also have another mission: to obtain a zombie corpse. Remember, a dead corpse. Each of you will be equipped with a Magnum pistol, three magazines of ammunition."
"Oh no... that little?" one of the five people muttered.
"Scott, did I tell you to speak?" the instructor reprimanded.
"You were sent on a reconnaissance mission to obtain zombie specimens for research without alerting a large number of zombies attacking the border, not to kill zombies!" The instructor raised his voice slightly.
"First of all, once inside the epidemic area, no one is allowed to take off their CEDA-made protective suits. Everyone must supervise each other. Even if someone takes it off for just one second, the others must immediately shoot them!"
The five men immediately broke out in a cold sweat: "What if something tears the hazmat suits? That would be terrible..."
"Furthermore, your chemical protective suits have an oxygen supply system, so you don't need to worry about oxygen. However, precisely because the oxygen supply system can only provide oxygen for five hours, you must return within five hours. Otherwise, anyone who is late will be killed without exception! Oh, and the chemical protective suits also have fireproof capabilities, so you don't need to stop advancing because flames are blocking your way!" The instructor gave a rather detailed introduction to the chemical protective suits.
"Now let's talk about the important points regarding the mission. After entering the infected area, you have two routes to choose from. You can discuss and choose based on the local situation. However, no matter which route you choose, you must find some lone zombies. Once you find a suitable target, pick up your guns and shoot the target in the head until it can't move. Then carefully approach to investigate, load the body into the cart, and transport it back. Note that during this operation, you cannot remove your gloves to touch the zombie's body or any liquids such as blood. If any one of you is attacked and injured by a zombie, even with just a small wound, the others must kill it with their pistols within one minute!" the instructor continued incessantly.
"Alright, that's about it. We'll meet here at 2 a.m. tomorrow to board the bus and head to the epidemic area!"
"Wake up, wake up, Scott."
"What are you doing, disturbing my sleep?" Scott complained softly.
"Wake up, everyone! Let's discuss the reconnaissance plan!" The speaker was Jack, the leader of the five-man squad. Jack held a map in his hand, which was covered with markings.
“Looking at the map, there are two relatively safe routes to the epidemic area. The first is the desolate cemetery on the outskirts of the epidemic area, where there are fewer zombies, but the map is very blurry and it's easy to get lost. The second is the residential area to the left of the epidemic area. Because it's a residential area, the planning here is very good, but there are also many zombies. However, we can use the buildings in the residential area to hide from the zombies. Now, please give your opinions.”
"I choose the cemetery; it'll be really exciting there!" one team member exclaimed excitedly.
"If you get lost at the cemetery, there won't be any police officers to help you! Haha!" someone joked with a laugh.
“I chose to go to the residential area. First of all, the residential area is well-planned, which means it’s not easy to get lost. Although there are many zombies, it’s early morning now and the visibility is low. We can hide between the houses and not be easily spotted by the zombies. We have flashlights, so we can spot them very well. On the contrary, if we go to the cemetery, we’ll probably be scared to death before we’re even killed by the zombies!” Scott’s analysis was quite detailed.
“Yes, Scott, your analysis makes a lot of sense. I also agree to go to the residential area!” the captain stated.
Everyone shared their choices. Three chose to go to the residential area, two chose to go to the cemetery, and since it was the majority, everyone had to go to the residential area.
After an unknown amount of time, the driver turned around and said, "The five people in the back, we have reached the border of the epidemic area. Get out of the car now!" The driver said coldly.
Jack immediately gave the order: "Stop joking around, get your gear ready, and get out of the car right now."
The driver then reminded them, "I will wait for you here. Regardless of whether you complete the mission or not, all five of you must return within five hours. If you do not return within five hours, I will drive away on my own. Please consider your own lives and be punctual!"
Jack answered first, "We will definitely return on time."
The five people who were just joking around immediately became serious as soon as they got off the car. The "scenery" in front of them was very different from the epidemic area they had imagined!
"This...this is the epidemic area? Such a desolate place, devoid of any life!"
"Indeed, as soon as I got out of the car, I felt a chill rise from my feet!"
"Captain, do you think there are any survivors here?"
“Of course not.” Jack paused, then ordered, “Stop lamenting! Let’s run there.”
This is the border of the epidemic area, where zombies are not usually seen. However, as the five people ventured deeper into the epidemic area, they became more and more vigilant and dared not relax their guard in the slightest.
"Stop!" Jack shouted. The other four immediately stopped.
"According to the map, we're only about 100 meters from the point where we'll enter the residential area. It's 3 a.m. now, and we must be back before 8 a.m."
"Hold your guns tight and cock them. If there's an emergency, I'll fire when I say so. Don't fire unless absolutely necessary! For now, don't turn on your flashlights. Just follow my light!" Jack appeared very calm at this moment.
"Hmm!" The other four didn't dare to disobey the captain, who had the most combat experience in the team.
"Let's go!"
A waning moon hung in the tranquil night sky, and under its bright light, five figures darted into a three-story office building. The background of the survival story was being finalized, for the purpose of training. (To be continued...)
Chapter 151 A Failed Operation
The moonlight quietly seeped into a building, and through it, five dark figures could be clearly seen loitering in the stairwell.
"The situation is normal. There are no zombies in the stairwell. Follow me."
In an instant, the five well-trained people ran up to the second floor.
"Shh!" Jack leaned gently against the door leading to the second floor.
The captain gestured to the other team members, and they all understood! This meant that the captain should rush in alone to investigate the situation first.
"Click—" In the silent night air, the sound of the doorknob turning was quite jarring.
Jack rushed in immediately, looked around, and found it still as quiet as ever—like a pebble thrown into a pond, creating ripples that soon return to calm.
Jack waved to his team members behind him, signaling them to come in.
"There shouldn't be any zombies here. Lock the door and see if we can get any useful information!" Jack ordered.
"Captain, come quick!" A team member's trembling voice rang in Jack's ear.
"What's wrong?" Jack walked over.
“Look…” Jack looked in the direction the team member was pointing.
A person is slumped in the corner!
"Grab your guns and come with me to take a look!" Jack said.
The two of them crouched down and walked toward the corner.
ten meters.
five meters.
Three meters!
He felt like his head was about to explode. He suddenly turned on the light, but there was no reaction.
"Ah—" Suddenly a terrifying scream rang out, startling the two so much that they dropped their guns.
"Hahaha... Haha... Hahaha..." Laughter rang out again, and the three people in the distance were laughing so hard they couldn't straighten up!
"What the hell are you talking about?" Jack said, sounding very annoyed.
Jack turned around and saw a corpse sitting on the ground, its pupils dilated. The blood from its neck had long since dried, and its head drooped limply. In the beam of the flashlight, the person's skin appeared deathly pale. Judging from its attire, it was probably a middle-aged man.
Jack reached out and examined the body's clothes, though he was wearing gloves. He thought to himself, "This body is strange; it seems to be caused by an infectious disease."
After a thorough search, they still found no valuable materials or information. So, the five of them climbed to the third floor, but still came up empty-handed, perhaps because they hadn't ventured too far into the epidemic area.
Having found nothing, the five people left the house and went out onto the streets of the residential area. Their peaceful life had long been shattered, leaving only deep sorrow and resentment.
On the streets, there were only abandoned vehicles and some corpses; Georgia was a dead city.
But just then, a very strange sound suddenly rang out.
"Uh, uh." It sounded like something was muttering something.
"Who?" Jack called out. No one answered, and the five men immediately became alert.
The five people looked in five different directions and saw almost everything.
They slowly strolled to the side of a small bungalow shop.
Drops of liquid dripped onto the team members, but their hazmat suits prevented them from noticing.
"Ah, what's that!" Scott exclaimed. His flashlight beam shone on the object. On the roof of the shop.
"Whoa—" The thing was immediately enraged when it was illuminated by the light.
Everyone immediately looked up, but as soon as they did, a spray of light green liquid violently hit their goggles, obstructing their vision. Only Jack and another teammate, Foss, escaped unharmed. The two immediately opened fire on the roof of the shop.
"Holy crap. What is this thing...?"
The whole process took only about two or three seconds, and a blood-black object fell helplessly to the ground.
Before the two could get a closer look, countless strange roars and cries rang out from afar, growing ever closer to them.
"What's wrong?" Fox asked.
"Oh no, the zombie horde is coming!" Jack shouted.
But it was too late. The two flashlight beams spotted zombies swarming in from all directions, roaring and leaping wildly towards them, blocking their way back.
“Fox, we’re not exposed to that liquid. Shoot with me.” “Bang—bang,” the Desert Eagle’s gunshots echoed through the sky.
After a brief retreat, the horde of zombies surged forward even more frantically. The three people who had just finished cleaning up the liquid were stunned by what they saw.
"What are you all standing there for? Shoot!" Jack yelled.
The three joined the battle, but it was completely ineffective; it was just a drop in the ocean.
Jack, with years of special operations experience, finally understood: under such a powerful offensive, they might not survive at all, unless...
Jack glanced back at the four men monitoring the battle behind him and smiled. Then a tear rolled down his cheek. He took a deep breath and burst into laughter.
Jack suddenly said seriously to the four team members, "The plan has changed. It seems we can't go any further! But at least we got a body, so we've completed our mission! Fox, you break out from the weak point on the left. Mike and Jimmy, you two quickly carry the body and rush out with him. Scott, you and I will hold off the zombies and cover them!"
After saying that, the five men immediately sprang into action. Fox fired three shots, creating a breach on the left. The two men carrying the corpse also fired two shots, widening the gap. The three of them rushed out, eliminating some zombies in the process.
"Oh no, we're out of bullets." Jack's heart skipped a beat. He asked Max, "How many magazines do you have left?" "Two!"
"It seems we really can't all get out..." Jack thought to himself.
