Manhattan, once the symbol of New York City, the pride of everyone... a beautiful paradise surrounded by the Harlem and Haddon Rivers... home to the world's largest financial district. Even Spider-Man is here, but the Twisted Overlord altered the main Marvel universe, merging the world of Prototype into this one, and the situation is becoming increasingly dangerous.

Just a few weeks ago, someone spread a virus called "Blacklight" there. In just three weeks, the virus engulfed the entire Manhattan and infected millions of people. Only a very small number of people survived. Those who survived either became zombies or low-intelligence monsters with bulging muscles. The military had no way to deal with them and could only let them spread... Then, due to the attack by the Hydra organization, a biohazard crisis broke out, and the situation became extremely dangerous.

Manhattan has become a hellscape: a blood-red sky, dilapidated buildings, and echoing wails. No one dares approach; some tremble at the mere mention of its name. And all of this is "thanks" to its creator: Alex Mercer...

Thankfully, it's all "over" now...

The second week after the virus was eradicated, in the Green Zone, Central Park:

"Hey, life has been so peaceful since the Blacklight virus was eradicated! We no longer have to worry about a zombie jumping out of the street while we're walking down the street!" A man in sportswear said in a friendly manner to a man sitting on a bench wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses.

"Yes, since the virus was eradicated, everyone's life has been stable, and we no longer have to hurt others to survive," the man wearing sunglasses said calmly.

"I heard that the Blackwatch was instrumental in eradicating the virus! They're amazing, I want to be one too..."

"Bullshit, the Marines also deserve credit for eliminating the virus this time," the man in the tracksuit interrupted before he could finish speaking.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I misspoke."

"Alright, since we're so close now, I'll tell you a secret. Do you know Moser?"

“I know, he’s the guy who turned Manhattan into hell on earth,” the man in the tracksuit said angrily.

“We all know that Moser is the creator of the Red Zone. He is the source of the Blacklight virus. Without him, there would be no virus. But do you know how Moser died?”

"Wasn't he eliminated by Blackwatch... no, by Blackwatch and the Marines?"

"No, no, no, he actually died because of internal strife within his own team, and was absorbed by an evolved being he created himself named Heller."

"What's the point of saying all this? Anyway, Moser is dead now, and everything's peaceful, isn't it?!"

"No, no, no, it's not over yet. Although Mercer is 'dead,' according to Blackwatch's large-scale virus detectors, there's still an unidentified dark energy lingering in the Red Zone, which is Manhattan... Just a week ago, Blackwatch and the Marines set up a makeshift military base in Times Square, Manhattan, preparing to use a mysterious weapon to completely wipe out Manhattan..."

"Oh! Is that so... But how did you know all this..." The man in the tracksuit became somewhat flustered because he had heard something he shouldn't have.

"Oh! Don't worry, we're so close now, it won't matter if you hear it. If an ordinary person heard it, they'd probably be on their way to hell by now... But remember, what we're talking about today is our secret, and everyone's secret..." The man in sunglasses said calmly and expressionlessly to the other man...

This is the site of Pennsylvania Station, a large train station in Manhattan where people traveled daily to and from various destinations. Now, it's a place of remembrance because it's where the creator, Moser, and Heller fought their final battle. Heller ultimately won, destroying Moser and eradicating the Blacklight virus.

Many crows circled above the station, just like in the apocalypse. These were not ordinary crows; they were crows that had survived a virus infection, possessing sharp, poisonous beaks and rotting bodies.

Among the flock of crows, a large crow seemed to have discovered something. It immediately rushed out of the flock, its eyes gleaming, and looked down at the ground, its sharp, sickle-like beak pointing at a severed arm on the ground... However, just as the crow's beak was about to touch the severed arm, the severed arm immediately split into many black and red tentacles that wrapped around and surrounded the crow.

"Caw caw caw..." This was the desperate cry of the crow as it was entangled. Gradually, the cry grew weaker and weaker, and the crow's body turned dark red. Suddenly, the crow transformed into dark red tentacles, which slowly merged into the severed arm... After absorbing the crow, the severed arm fell into stillness, seemingly waiting for its next target.

Just then, an explosion was heard in the distance...

Location of the explosion:

"What did you do? It's just a flock of crows! Why did you have to bomb the building like that?!" A commander-like man pointed at the dilapidated building that was on the verge of collapse, then at a soldier holding a rocket launcher who had been startled by the crows, and shouted at him.

"Don't be afraid, this is just a simple patrol. You don't need to be so nervous, nothing will happen," the commander said to the soldier, regaining his composure.

"I'm sorry, sir. I heard from my superiors that there are still remnants of the virus here, and I was just worried about that, so I didn't react to this sudden situation, so..."

"What?!" The commander became extremely agitated, yelling at the soldier, "You're a warrior, a warrior fighting for your country, and you're scared by a flock of crows?! I'm pointing my finger at you right now and telling you, it's safe here, there's no virus at all, you can't find a single molecule of the virus!!"

“But the higher-ups said…” the soldier said in a low voice.

"Don't you dare mention superiors to me! When have they ever been right? They're almost always lying!! When the virus broke out, I was just an ordinary soldier. I heard from my superiors that the Green Zone was the safest and best place, so I worked my butt off. Finally, I was transferred to the Green Zone..."

"There's nothing wrong with that, is there?"

"Stop interrupting! I haven't finished yet. After I was transferred to the Green Zone, I thought I was finally free. But the very next day, my teammates and I were patrolling the streets when suddenly a giant hunter emerged from the ground and killed most of the soldiers around me. If it weren't for the super soldier nearby, I would be in hell by now... Now, what I can't forget is what my superiors said: 'The Green Zone is absolutely safe'..."

The commander yelled and berated the soldier, seemingly venting all his anger on him.

"Look at those Blackwatch members over there, they have no discipline at all, they're always arguing. Our Marines are much better, united, equal, harmonious, and stable," a Marine Corps commander said to a Marine Corps soldier nearby.

"What the hell did you just say? Who doesn't have a law?"

"Whoever reacts the fastest wins," the Marine Corps commander said sarcastically to the Blackwatch commander.

"What the hell did you say? Don't forget, you Marines are only here to help Blackwatch carry out their mission. Without our permission, you're not even allowed to breathe this air!!!"

"What!" The Marine Corps commander was clearly enraged. "Look at the weapons you're holding! Almost all of them were provided by our Marine Corps. Without us, you'd be standing here with just a wooden stick as a weapon..."

"Yeah, yeah, don't you even think about who paid for the weapons?"

"You fucking dare say another word!" And just like that, the two commanders started arguing...

Pennsylvania Station Ruins

"Caw caw caw..." came the agonizing cry of another crow as it was absorbed. However, this time, the severed arm didn't settle down after absorbing the crow. Instead, tentacles gradually sprouted from the arm and spread outwards, eventually forming a body the size of an adult...

Chapter 641 The Anomaly in the Main World (2)

“I… am resurrected…” a man said, twisting his neck as he stood on the shattered street.

The man had a pale, almost sickly complexion, as he could replenish his cells without blood. His eyes were a dark, almost grayish-blue, and he had short, dark brown hair. He wore three layers of clothing: a white shirt underneath, a brown hooded sweatshirt in the middle, and a black jacket on top. The faint red double dragon pattern on the back of the black jacket added a touch of menacing power. He wore dark blue jeans and black leather shoes.

His face was almost entirely covered by his hood, and his eyes were completely invisible from a distance. But upon closer inspection, you could sense a chilling, murderous aura emanating from him.

"I, Alex Mercer, have finally been reborn. I will start my plan anew, and..." Mercer had not finished speaking when a powerful storm of memories surged into his mind. These memories were from the brains of people he had absorbed in the past, and they flooded into his head all at once.

Even a virus couldn't withstand such a massive storm, so Moser's head was chopped off like an ordinary person's.

"Ah...no...get out of here..." Moser knelt on one knee, clutching his head in pain as he spoke...

Finally, under the powerful storm, Moser could no longer hold on and collapsed to the ground.

Five seconds later, he gradually stood up from the ground.

"Where am I? What happened? Is this Manhattan? How did it become like this? Didn't I stop the nuclear attack on Manhattan? How did it become like this!" Moser said, looking at the dilapidated buildings around him.

At this moment, Moser's aura diminished, replaced by a gentle and pleasant one.

"Dana, my sister, Dana, where are you?" Moser called out anxiously to those around him.

Just as Moser looked around, a small storm of memories appeared in his brain. However, this storm was not as intense as before. Moser simply knelt on one knee, held his head in his hands, and tried his best to bear the memory.

“Heller…Dana…Heller…Dana…” These two names and related fragments of memory kept appearing in Moser’s mind.

After more than 20 seconds, Moser recovered and stood up from the ground.

"Heller," he muttered to himself. He now knew that to find Dana, he first had to find where Heller was. However, the smoke in the distance caught his attention.

At the explosion site: "Who are you calling a black water meter?" The Blackwatch commander angrily raised his rifle butt and smashed it at the Marine Corps commander, saying furiously.

“I’m talking about you,” the Marine Corps commander said as he dodged.

The two commanders' argument had escalated from a simple quarrel to a full-blown confrontation. Watching their superiors fight, the subordinates simply observed without attempting to intervene, as they were already accustomed to such incidents and knew that their attempts to stop them would be futile.

"Aaaaaah!" The Blackwatch commander raised his rifle butt and slammed it at the enemy once again. The Marine Corps commander smiled slightly, tilted his head slightly to the left to dodge the attack, and then used his right hand to strike the Blackwatch commander hard in the stomach.

"Cough~~!" The Blackwatch commander cried out in pain from the blow.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, the Marine Corps commander struck the enemy in the chest with his left elbow and grabbed the muzzle of the gun in the enemy's hand with his right hand. With a slight pull, the gun slipped from the Blackwatch commander's grasp. Then, the Marine Corps commander, still holding the gun barrel in his right hand, slammed it down hard on the enemy.

A crisp sound rang out, and the optical goggles on the Blackwatch Commander's mask shattered. But it wasn't over yet.

While the Blackwatch commander was clutching his head, the Marine Corps commander took a step forward, stepped in front of him, and stomped his left foot on the side of the commander's knee. Then, as the commander's left knee bent, the Marine Corps commander moved behind him and hooked the commander's right foot, forcefully flipping the Blackwatch commander over.

The Marine Corps officer looked at the man lying on the ground, straightened his clothes which were a little disheveled from the fight, and then walked away.

However, because the Blackwatch Commander was equipped with a lot of armor, he reduced the damage to a minimum. Soon, he got up from the ground and roared as he charged toward the Marine Corps officer.

By the time he realized what was happening, the Blackwatch commander had already rushed in front of him, punched him hard in the stomach, then hoisted him up and slammed him against the wall...

And so, the two commanders clashed once again.

Although the two commanders did not get along well, their subordinates did get along very well.

"Hey buddy. You guys' been talking about some mysterious weapon to completely 'evolve' Manhattan lately. What exactly is this weapon? Tell us a thing or two." A Marine asked the Blackwatch soldier in a friendly manner.

The Blackwatch soldier glanced around before lowering his voice and saying, "This should normally be classified information, something we can't let anyone know. However, given our close relationship, I'll tell you quietly. Actually, this weapon is a modification of the original 'White Light Spray.' Our scientists simply modified it to make it stronger and materialize it. Furthermore, this spray only harms the Blacklight virus and has no effect on humans. Okay, that's all I wanted to say."

"Um... well, I have another question..."

"What's the problem?" The Blackwatch soldier frowned.

"If our two officers keep fighting, won't something bad happen?" a Marine asked anxiously, watching the two commanders wrestling and fighting.

“Um…that’s a problem…” The Blackwatch soldier was getting a little anxious.

Although worried, the two soldiers dared not intervene. Last time, when the two commanders were fighting, one soldier, out of kindness, tried to stop them. As a result, he was beaten by both commanders and ended up in the hospital for half a month...

"Got to find a stronger guy..." The Marine looked around and muttered to himself. "Hey, come here. Stop looking around, it's you, the guy who was just sitting around doing nothing and lifting cars!" the soldier said to a bored super soldier.

"Oh..." The super soldier put down the car and walked over.

"Help me, pull those two officers apart..." the Marine said.

"Oh," he said, and then walked toward the two commanders.

......

"Let me go, you bastard! I'm going to kick this guy's ass!" the Blackwatch commander struggled and shouted angrily.

"With your skills, you think you can kick my ass? Don't twist your ankle, hahaha," the Marine Corps officer replied sarcastically.

"Hmph, even if Alex Moser came, I'd kick him back."

"Oh? Is that so?" Just then, a dark figure descended from the sky.

Chapter 642 The Anomaly in the Main World (3)

"Oh? Is that so?" Moser jumped from the top of a building, causing minor damage to the ground upon landing.

"Ah!...You...you...you...why didn't you...?" The Blackwatch commander was clearly startled by Moser's sudden appearance.

"Calling headquarters, calling headquarters! Patrol Five has spotted Creator Alexsmoth! Patrol Five has spotted Creator Alexsmoth! Need backup! Need backup! This is not a charade! Send backup while we're still alive!" The Marine Corps officer roared into the walkie-talkie. Compared to the Blackwatch commander, he appeared much calmer.

Report your location.

"We are at... ah..."

Before he could finish speaking, the walkie-talkie was pierced by Moser's whip-fist.

The Blackwatch commander next to them had just taken out his walkie-talkie when it was also pierced by Moser, and their hearts immediately sank.

"Quickly... report your... location... not... send...! Where... are you...? We're here, right!" The walkie-talkie crackled with static from the ground.

"We, we, are in hell now," Moser said coldly into the walkie-talkie. Then, with a slight shovel of his whip-fist, a spark flew, and the walkie-talkie was instantly reduced to scrap metal.
