Under Hongjun's final 'admonitions,' the primordial world of the next thousand years entered a rare period of peace. Although there were occasional frictions between the Wu tribe and the Yao tribe, the Yao tribe's restraint prevented major conflicts between the two tribes. Many uninformed races thought that the Yao tribe had backed down, unaware that this was the calm before the storm.
A thousand years later, the Zixiao Palace held its third lecture, and all three thousand disciples were present, with each of them having improved their cultivation.
Seeing this, Hongjun nodded secretly, and then began to explain how to advance from the Great Luo Golden Immortal realm to the Quasi-Saint realm, and how a Quasi-Saint can advance to the Saint realm.
When a sage preaches, heavenly flowers rain down and golden lotuses spring up from the earth. Moreover, what he is preaching this time is the path to becoming a quasi-sage and a saint. The profound mysteries within are beyond the comprehension of ordinary people. As Hongjun continues to expound the Great Dao, celestial marks appear and disappear in Zixiao Palace. These celestial marks are the manifestations of the divine essence of the Heavenly Dao and are extremely rare. If it were not for Hongjun's preaching this time, most of the people present would probably never have seen them in their entire lives.
The appearance of the Heavenly Mark was an immense opportunity for all those listening to the sermon. A thousand years before this sermon, the Three Pure Ones, Zhen Yuanzi, Jieyin, and Zhunti, who were sitting on the futons, had all successfully severed their corpses and broken through to the Quasi-Saint realm.
Geniuses like Di Jun, Tai Yi, Kun Peng, Hong Yun, and Fu Xi were not to be outdone and all severed their corpses. In a short time, nearly a hundred people successfully severed their corpses and achieved the Quasi-Saint realm.
However, there are different kinds of Quasi-Saints, especially the Three Pure Ones and others. They only need to sever one of their corpses to reach the peak of the early Quasi-Saint stage. It seems that as long as they sever two corpses, they can immediately become a mid-Quasi-Saint powerhouse.
As for the others, whether strong or weak, they were all only at the early stage of Quasi-Sainthood, having severed one corpse. This made everyone realize the gap between them. In particular, Di Jun and Tai Yi, seeing that the six people sitting on the futons were no less talented than them, and even slightly superior, made their expressions somewhat unpleasant.
Seeing that nearly a hundred people had achieved quasi-saint status in just a thousand years, Hongjun nodded secretly and continued his sermon.
More than a thousand years passed, and Hongjun finally finished explaining the three righteous methods of merit, severing the corpse, and proving the Dao through force. The content was extremely profound. Under normal circumstances, one would need at least the cultivation level of a late Quasi-Saint to understand some of it. However, most of the people present were Great Luo Golden Immortals, and even the strongest, such as the Three Pure Ones, were only at the peak of the mid-Quasi-Saint stage. How could they possibly understand it?
Even the six people sitting at the very front had furrowed brows and constantly changing expressions. Joy, excitement, depression, and frustration were all displayed on their faces. They seemed to understand but not quite, and this feeling was really quite uncomfortable.
However, the six people—Sanqing, Zhenyuanzi, Jieyin, and Zhunti—had an advantage over the other listeners: the futons they sat on were not ordinary objects. While Tianhen helped them comprehend the path to sainthood, the futons they sat on also played a role, bringing them closer to the Heavenly Dao and making it easier for them to comprehend the path to sainthood.
With the combined help of Tianhen and Futuan, the Three Pure Ones and others had a much deeper understanding of the path to sainthood than other listeners. However, compared to the vastness and profundity of the path to sainthood, what they could understand was only the tip of the iceberg. External help was merely an aid; to truly gain enlightenment, they still had to rely on themselves.
The other listeners were drowsy and could hardly understand anything. The Great Dao that Hongjun spoke of was like a heavenly book to them. However, the Heavenly Mark that evolved in Zixiao Palace was indeed of great benefit to them, and many people turned their attention to comprehending the Heavenly Dao.
When the sermon reached its 2,700th anniversary, Hongjun stopped, and everyone awoke. Whether they were diligently trying to comprehend the path to sainthood or were in a daze, they all fully recovered. Their expressions varied, clearly indicating that their gains were different, more or less, depending on their own destiny. After all, the path to sainthood is not something everyone can reach.
Hongjun looked at the people who had regained consciousness and said softly, "Under the Heavenly Dao, a sage should follow the Heavenly Dao and entrust his primordial spirit to the Heavenly Dao so that he is immortal and indestructible. During the great calamity, anyone who is not a sage may perish. Below the sage, all are ants."
Hearing Hongjun say this, everyone trembled. Below the level of a saint, all are ants. Who among them would be willing to be an ant? But becoming a saint is not an easy thing either. Although there are three methods to become a saint, the chance of success is very small. The three corpses are hopeless, and the merits of the Heavenly Dao are hard to obtain, which almost cuts off their hope of becoming a saint.
Hongjun ignored their thoughts and continued, "I wield the Jade Disc of Creation, comprehend the Way of the Sages, and expound the Great Dao in this Zixiao Palace. Now that my merits are about to be fulfilled, I should also merge with the Dao to complete the Heavenly Dao. And under my tutelage, there should be six Sages."
Upon hearing this, everyone's expressions changed drastically. Envy, jealousy, regret, and many other emotions appeared on their faces. The six holy figures sitting at the front were the Three Pure Ones, Zhen Yuanzi, Jieyin, and Zhunti, exactly six people. Each of them occupied a futon, which obviously had a special meaning. Although they had guessed before, none of them had expected that each futon represented a holy position.
Among these people, two were particularly special. One was Hongyun, who was tricked by Hongjun into giving up his seat and was filled with regret. The other was Kunpeng, who originally occupied a seat but was knocked down by Jieyin and Zhunti, losing his opportunity for nothing. He not only hated Jieyin and Zhunti, but also hated Hongyun. If Hongyun hadn't been so naive, he wouldn't have lost his opportunity.
Looking at the six people sitting at the front, everyone's eyes revealed a look of envy, jealousy and hatred. Especially when they saw Jieyin and Zhunti, Jieyin had stolen Kunpeng, while Zhunti had tricked Hongyun into giving it to him. They could not convince the crowd at all.
The more he thought about it, the more unwilling he became. Taiyi, who had the most volatile temper, couldn't help but ask, "May I ask the Ancestor, who is worthy of the title of Saint?"
Hongjun raised his hand, and a ball of purple energy appeared in his palm. Hongjun said, "To achieve the status of a sage, one must first obtain the foundation of the Great Dao. This is the Primordial Purple Energy. Each wisp of Primordial Purple Energy represents a sage position. Under the Heavenly Dao, nine is the ultimate, but it is not permitted by the Heavenly Dao. Therefore, there are only eight sage positions. I occupy one, and the rest will be bestowed upon those who are destined."
Upon hearing this, everyone's expression changed immediately. They had clearly seen that there were seven strands of purple energy in Hongjun's hand. Hongjun had said that they would be given to those with the right destiny. Didn't that mean that, apart from the previous six people, they all had a chance to obtain the last strand of primordial purple energy? This filled them with tension and anticipation, and everyone hoped that they would be the lucky one.
Hongjun lowered his head slightly, first looking at the people sitting in the front row, and finally his gaze fell on the Three Pure Ones. He said softly, "Pangu created the world and had great merit. Laozi, Yuanshi, and Tongtian were transformed from the primordial spirit of Pangu and enjoy the blessing of the merit of creating the world. They have great fortune and can become my disciples. When the opportunity comes in the future, they can prove the Dao and become saints."
After saying that, three streams of primordial purple energy flew out from Hongjun's palm and entered the brows of the Three Pure Ones amidst the envious gazes of everyone. Then Hongjun looked at Zhen Yuanzi, his eyebrows twitching slightly, and said, "Zhen Yuanzi possesses great fortune. When the time is right, he can become a saint and should become my closed-door disciple."
As soon as he finished speaking, another wisp of Primordial Purple Qi flew out and entered Zhen Yuanzi's brow. After Hongjun finished speaking, he immediately fell silent, as if he had forgotten that he still had three wisps of Primordial Purple Qi in his hand, and also forgot about Jieyin and Zhunti sitting at the front. This left everyone very puzzled as to what Hongjun really meant.
Zhen Yuanzi has become the last disciple, which greatly worries Jieyin and Zhunti. With the last disciple announced, it means that Hongjun will no longer accept any disciples. Jieyin and Zhunti are naturally anxious. Upon seeing this, Zhunti immediately kowtowed and said, "Master, my elder brother and I are wholeheartedly seeking the Dao. Please, Master, for the sake of the Western beings, accept us as your disciples!"
Hongjun seemed to hear Zhunti's 'cry' and then said, "Jieyin, Zhunti, although you two do not have much innate merit, you have great fortune and will have opportunities in the future. However, your affinity with my Xuanmen is limited. You two can be considered my nominal disciples. When the opportunity comes in the future, you can also prove the Dao and become saints."
Two more strands of Primordial Purple Qi were bestowed upon him, and Jieyin and Zhunti immediately bowed in gratitude. At this moment, Hongjun only had one strand of Primordial Purple Qi left in his hand, which made many listeners extremely envious. If this were not Zixiao Palace and the Primordial Purple Qi were not in Hongjun's hands, they probably would have already tried to snatch it. So they all followed Zhunti's example and bowed in unison, saying, "We hope that the Dao Ancestor will have pity on us!"
Upon seeing this, Hongjun shook his head slightly, which immediately changed everyone's expression. They thought that Hongjun did not intend to bestow the last strand of Primordial Purple Qi upon them! But then Hongjun said, "Very well, considering that your cultivation has not been easy, I will bestow this last strand of Primordial Purple Qi upon you. Everything depends on your fate."
With a wave of his hand, Hongjun sent out the last wisp of Primordial Purple Qi, which hovered in the Zixiao Palace. This made many listeners itch with desire. Looking at the Primordial Purple Qi that was so close, it seemed as if they could reach out and grab it, yet it seemed so far away. Even if they wanted to make a move, they seemed unable to catch its trajectory at all.
The Primordial Purple Qi swirled in the Purple Cloud Palace for a while before piercing directly into the brow of a red-robed Taoist. Everyone looked over and saw that the man was none other than Ancestor Hongyun. This only fueled their envy, jealousy, and hatred, while Kunpeng's hatred for Hongyun intensified.
Hongyun was both surprised and delighted. He never expected that the opportunity to become a saint would be regained. This feeling left him stunned with joy.
But he didn't know that misfortune may be a blessing in disguise, and a blessing may be a misfortune in disguise. The Three Pure Ones and the others were all disciples of Hongjun, and no one present dared to make a move against them. But Hongyun was different. Hongjun had not accepted him as a disciple. He was just a rogue cultivator. Although he had Zhenyuanzi as his brother, it would be fine if Zhenyuanzi became a saint. But Zhenyuanzi had not become a saint yet. Even if he became a saint in the future, as long as he could seize the last of the Primordial Purple Qi before he became a saint, what was there to be afraid of?
As a result, Hongyun naturally became the target of everyone's anger. This represented a holy position, and everyone present wanted to obtain it. One can imagine the turmoil that would occur in the prehistoric world after this sermon.
No one knows that Hongyun's acquisition of the Primordial Purple Qi was originally a compensation from Hongjun, but it also sowed the seeds of disaster. If he could escape the calamity, he might achieve something great, but if he couldn't, he would only face death and the dissipation of his Dao.
Of course, if Hongyun really dies and his cultivation dissipates, Hongjun will still compensate him, but the one who receives the compensation will no longer be 'Hongyun'.
Hongjun took in everyone's reactions but remained calm. He then addressed the Three Pure Ones and the others, saying, "As my disciples, you should have some protective items. In my early years, I traveled through the prehistoric world and found many treasures. Now that I have comprehended the Great Dao and will merge with it, these treasures are of no use to me. Today, I will bestow them upon you."
Those listening to the sermon changed their expressions upon hearing this. They had been desperately seeking innate spiritual treasures but had failed to obtain them. Now, not only had the Three Pure Ones become disciples of Hongjun, but they were also able to obtain treasures for free. How could they not be jealous? Moreover, the treasures in Hongjun's possession were certainly extraordinary, so how could they not be heartbroken?
The Three Pure Ones, Zhen Yuanzi, Jieyin, and Zhunti were overjoyed to hear that their teacher was going to distribute treasures. Although they all possessed innate spiritual treasures, who would complain about having too few? Moreover, the treasures bestowed by their teacher were undoubtedly the most top-tier spiritual treasures in the primordial world. With these treasures, just as their teacher had said, their future safety should no longer be an issue.
Under the expectant gazes of the six, Hongjun raised his hand, and a diagram appeared directly before them. The diagram was surrounded by countless rays of light and auspicious colors. Prophecies of the Great Dao surrounded it, and Heavenly Dao talismans were faintly visible within it. Hongjun said, "Laozi, you are the transformation of Pangu's primordial spirit, the head of the Three Pure Ones, and my first disciple. I bestow this Taiji Diagram upon you, so that you may suppress the destiny in the future."
In the rear hall of Zixiao Palace, Ling Chi looked at the Chaos Pearl, a supreme treasure of chaos that he had obtained in exchange for the Taiji Diagram, the Pangu Banner, and the Four Swords of Zhuxian, and felt a unique mix of emotions.
Unexpectedly, Hongjun actually possessed the legendary last Chaos Treasure. This Chaos Pearl was no ordinary object; it not only contained a Chaos Space, but also allowed the refiner to freely control time and space within it. Furthermore, with this Chaos Pearl, one could create the heavens and prove the Dao within the Chaos Space, becoming a saint beyond the Heavenly Dao.
Moreover, the Chaos Pearl also has the ability to break through time and space. For example, when encountering life-threatening danger in the primordial world, the Chaos Pearl can take its owner to other worlds by breaking through space and time.
However, this feature seems very similar to the Chef God system.
Is it a coincidence?
Chapter Twenty: The Foodie Saint
The main hall of Zixiao Palace.
After listening to Hongjun's explanation of the Taiji Diagram, even the usually serene and inactive Laozi couldn't help but show a delighted expression as he accepted the treasure from Hongjun. Those listening in the Zixiao Palace all looked at Laozi with envy and jealousy. The Taiji Diagram was one of the three treasures of creation, a primordial treasure, combining offense and defense, possessing immense power, and capable of suppressing destiny—truly an unparalleled treasure.
Next was Yuanshi Tianzun. Hongjun raised his hand, and a banner appeared in his hand. This banner was filled with ten thousand rays of light piercing the blue sky and a thousand auspicious colors covering the nine heavens. It exuded an aura of dominance and showed an unparalleled majesty.
Hongjun said, "This is the Pangu Banner, which has the power to tear apart chaos and suppress destiny. Yuanshi, I hereby bestow this banner upon you!"
Upon hearing this, Yuanshi's face lit up with joy, and he happily accepted the Pangu Banner. In the primordial world, innate treasures were extremely rare. Apart from the crow named Taiyi on the Sun Star, no one else possessed one. Now that Laozi and Yuanshi had each obtained an innate treasure, they were naturally delighted, which made everyone even more jealous. But this was a treasure bestowed by Hongjun, so what could they do?
Next was Tongtian. Seeing Tongtian's eyes shining with boundless anticipation as he looked at him, Hongjun raised his hand, and four swords and a formation diagram appeared out of thin air, radiating endless killing intent.
Hongjun said, "These are the Four Swords of Zhuxian and the Zhuxian Formation Diagram. The four swords are the Zhuxian Sword, the Luxian Sword, the Xianxian Sword, and the Juexian Sword. Together with the Zhuxian Formation Diagram, they can form the Zhuxian Sword Formation. This formation is extremely powerful, comparable to a supreme innate treasure. If a sage sets up the formation, it cannot be broken by any less than four sages. So I bestow it upon you!"
Upon hearing this, Tongtian was overjoyed, thinking: "My teacher only bestowed one treasure upon each of my elder brothers, but he gave me the Four Swords of Zhuxian and the array diagram. My teacher really does like me more."
Thinking of this, Tongtian smiled broadly and happily accepted the treasure, unaware that a strange look flashed in the eyes of Yuanshi Tianzun sitting beside him.
At the same time, Zhen Yuanzi, Jieyin, and Zhunti all showed a hint of apprehension. The Zhuxian Sword Formation could not be broken by any four saints, but there would only be seven saints in the world. Their teacher Hongjun would merge with the Dao, so he was not counted among them. The remaining saintly position of Liu Zun was held by the Three Pure Ones and them. The Three Pure Ones were of one mind and one heart. Didn't this mean that as long as Tongtian became a saint, he could do whatever he wanted in front of them?
Zhunti was furious: The teacher was unfair, Zhunti was not satisfied!
Unfortunately, I dare not say it.
When it was Zhen Yuanzi's turn, Hongjun raised his hand, and two magical treasures appeared in his hand: the Dragon Head Cane and the Twelve-Petaled Pure White Lotus.
Hongjun pointed to the dragon-headed cane and said, "Although this dragon-headed cane is a top-grade innate spiritual treasure, it was used by me before I became a saint, and it has its own wonderful uses."
He then pointed to the Pure World White Lotus and said, "This is the Pure World White Lotus, which was transformed from a lotus seed of the Chaos Green Lotus. It was also used by me to protect myself before I became a saint. It can suppress fortune. I will give it to you today."
Upon hearing these words, Zhen Yuanzi was extremely excited. Although they were not innate supreme treasures, they were both top-grade innate spiritual treasures used by Hongjun before he became a saint. With these two top-grade innate spiritual treasures, Zhen Yuanzi believed that he would be no worse than the Three Pure Ones.
"Thank you for bestowing this treasure upon me, Master." Zhen Yuanzi knelt on the ground, bowed three times, and then accepted the magical treasure. His joy was beyond words.
Finally, it was Jieyin and Zhunti's turn, but Hongjun stopped, which made Jieyin and Zhunti very anxious. Could it be that Hongjun had no magic weapons left for them? Could they be so unlucky? The others also looked at Jieyin and Zhunti with schadenfreude. A disciple is a disciple after all, no different from a stepmother.
Hongjun certainly wouldn't refuse to bestow the magic weapon; it was merely a deliberate act on his part. In truth, he genuinely didn't want to accept Jieyin and Zhunti as disciples, knowing that these two would later betray the Daoist sect and establish the Western Religion. But there was nothing he could do; after all, he had incurred karmic debts to the West! Although Lingchi had helped him repay a portion, he still needed to compensate for a large amount of karmic debt himself, otherwise he wouldn't be able to achieve true Dao.
However, although the magic weapon would be bestowed, he needed to annoy these two things first to relieve the pent-up anger in his chest.
Zhunti looked at Hongjun, who had stopped moving, and felt a pang of frustration. He immediately began to cry out, "Master, our West was destroyed in the last great calamity. Although it has recovered somewhat, it has become extremely barren. Not only are there few living beings, but there are also no treasures. Please have pity on my brother and me and grant us spiritual treasures to protect us."
"..." Hongjun looked at Jieyin and Zhunti, feeling disgusted as if he had eaten shit, but... what could he do?
After a moment of silence, Hongjun raised his hand, and three innate spiritual treasures appeared in his hand. He then said, "Jieyin and Zhunti, you two both have great perseverance and great fortune. You will also have your own opportunities in the future. Today, I will bestow upon you the Twelve-Petaled Golden Lotus of Merit, the Blessed Pestle, and the Eight Treasures Pool of Merit."
In the rear hall of Zixiao Palace, Ling Chi looked at the red embroidered ball and the map of mountains and rivers that he had exchanged for the Golden Lotus of Merit, and chuckled: "This was a good deal."
The Twelve-Petaled Golden Lotus of Merit fell into the hands of Jieyin, while the Blessing Pestle and the Eight Treasures Merit Pool went to Zhunti. The Twelve-Petaled Golden Lotus of Merit was a top-grade innate spiritual treasure, unparalleled in defense and capable of suppressing fortune; it was indeed a rare treasure. However, the Blessing Pestle and the Eight Treasures Merit Pool were only high-grade innate spiritual treasures, far inferior to the magical treasures that Hongjun bestowed upon others. Even so, Jieyin and Zhunti were overjoyed.
When everyone saw that Zhunti had obtained magical treasures for the two brothers, their eyes lit up. Hongjun definitely had more than just these magical treasures; they were all hoping to obtain the innate spiritual treasure, the Corpse-Slaying Technique. Naturally, they all followed Zhunti's example and bowed in unison, saying, "Please, Dao Ancestor, have pity on us and grant us some magical treasures to protect us!"
Seeing this, Hongjun sighed inwardly: My heart is so tired.
"All the magical treasures I possess that I was destined to acquire have already found their rightful owners. However, there are still some spiritual treasures left behind. Since you are all so eager to acquire these treasures, I will bestow them upon you. All the magical treasures I have collected have been placed on the Treasure Distribution Rock in the southeast of Zixiao Palace. Each of you may take one, according to your own fate. Go now!"
Upon hearing this, everyone's eyes lit up, and they all immediately flew away, heading southeast outside the Zixiao Palace.
Ling Chi's gaze pierced through space and landed on the Treasure Dividing Rock.
Ling Chi's eyes widened at the radiant glow on the Treasure Dividing Rock.
Judging from the sheer number of these spiritual treasures, there are at least two or three hundred of them. Although most of them are low-grade and mid-grade innate spiritual treasures, there are also a small number of high-grade and even top-grade innate spiritual treasures.
Seeing these treasures, Ling Chi felt a strong urge to buy them. If Hongjun hadn't pleaded with him from the beginning not to compete with the 'juniors' for spiritual treasures, he probably would have already swept away all the spiritual treasures along with the Treasure Distribution Rock.
Being able to see something but not be able to eat it is a terrible feeling, absolutely terrible.
But we can only endure it.
At this moment, many people, including Sanqing, Zhenyuanzi, Jieyin, Zhunti, Hongyun, Dijun, Taiyi, Fuxi, Kunpeng, and Styx, arrived one after another, each displaying their supernatural powers and frantically collecting the magical treasures on the Treasure Distribution Rock. By the time the rest of the people arrived, there were not many magical treasures left on the Treasure Distribution Rock. They all began to scramble to collect them, but there were too many monks and not enough porridge, so most of them were destined to be disappointed.
Previously, Laozi used the Taiji Diagram to take away more than ten spiritual treasures, and Yuanshi used the Pangu Banner to freeze twenty or thirty of them. However, the one who reaped the most was Tongtian Jiaozhu, who collected fifty or sixty items by himself. Jieyin and Zhunti also collected some, and judging from the expressions on their faces, they had made quite a lot of gains.
Zhen Yuanzi was rather unlucky, only managing to collect three or four items, but each one was of very high quality, and Zhen Yuanzi was very satisfied.
After everyone had tried to collect the magical treasures from the Treasure Dividing Rock, there were still twenty or thirty left. Before those who were unwilling to give up could react, the restrictions on the Treasure Dividing Rock were completely released. These remaining magical treasures broke through the chaos and flew towards the Primordial World. Obviously, these magical treasures in the Primordial World were not for them.
Seeing this, many who had listened to the Dao fled into the chaos to pursue the spiritual treasures. Clearly, they were unwilling to give up. In the blink of an eye, only a few dozen people remained in front of the Treasure Distribution Rock. Only the Three Pure Ones, Zhen Yuanzi, and Hongyun, who was forcibly held back by Zhen Yuanzi, did not rush to leave. Even Lianyin and Zhunti went to chase after the escaped spiritual treasures. They forgot that Hongjun had been preaching for three thousand years, and only two thousand seven hundred years had passed.
With three hundred years remaining, Hongjun clearly intended to continue his sermon. The Three Pure Ones, Zhen Yuanzi, and Hongyun, whose head was full of questions, flew back towards Zixiao Palace.
After returning to Zixiao Palace, the Three Pure Ones and Zhen Yuanzi sat down again. At this time, Jieyin and Zhunti had already left, and the two prayer mats were empty. Hongyun then sat down next to Zhen Yuanzi.
Hongjun glanced at Hongyun and said, "After this sermon ends, I will merge with the Dao. From now on, Hongjun will be the Dao of Heaven, and the Dao of Heaven will not be Hongjun. The general trend of the Dao of Heaven will not change, but the minor trend can be changed. I hope you will all behave yourselves well. Now, calm down and comprehend the mysteries of the Dao of Heaven."
After speaking, Hongjun unleashed an extremely profound aura. Behind him, countless great Daos seemed to appear, captivating the five people present. This was Hongjun's final sermon. This time, Hongjun allowed them to experience the existence of the Heavenly Dao up close, and he seemed to be preparing to merge with the Dao.
When the three hundred years were up, the Three Pure Ones, Zhen Yuanzi, and Hongyun all awoke from their state of enlightenment. Hongjun also reached the time to merge with the Dao. A jade butterfly of creation flew out from above his head. It was incomplete, but as Hongjun softly uttered the word "merge," it emitted ten thousand rays of light, enveloping Hongjun. Hongjun's figure slowly disappeared from the sight of the five people.
The five bowed towards the place where Hongjun disappeared, and then left Zixiao Palace. When they left, Sanqing and Zhenyuanzi seemed to breathe a sigh of relief. Without Hongjun, the saint, pressing down on them, they naturally felt much more relaxed. Hongyun, on the other hand, was still full of questions, wondering what the four of them were up to.
Zhen Yuanzi bowed to the Three Pure Ones and said, "If you three senior brothers have any free time in the future, you are welcome to visit Wuzhuang Temple on Longevity Mountain. Zhen Yuanzi will be happy to welcome you."
The Three Pure Ones nodded with smiles, and Yuanshi Tianzun said, "Junior Brother, you are too kind. I will definitely bother you in the future." He paused, then added, "If Junior Brother has the time, you are also welcome to visit Kunlun Mountain. We can verify each other's Dao attainments. Wouldn't that be wonderful?"
Zhen Yuanzi nodded with a smile: "As long as Senior Brother doesn't find Zhen Yuanzi annoying, I will definitely bother you."
"Haha, I couldn't be happier."
Afterwards, the Three Pure Ones, Zhen Yuanzi, and Hongyun parted ways here and returned to their respective temples.
