These are all places where immortals are said to live, especially Kunlun Mountain, which was once the gathering place of the Three Pure Ones and the Queen Mother of the West. But what is the description of Huaguo Mountain in the novel? The ancestral vein of the ten continents and the source of the three islands.

It is evident that Huaguo Mountain is a place of exceptional natural beauty and spiritual energy. No wonder it was able to nurture Sun Wukong, the Great Sage Equal to Heaven and the Victorious Fighting Buddha. The root of all this is that Huaguo Mountain has such excellent feng shui and abundant spiritual energy that it is an even better cultivation holy land than the Ten Continents and Three Islands.

Ling Chi hadn't known before, but now that he did, he wasn't going to let it go. He immediately opened up his farm and ranch, frantically absorbing the spiritual energy of Flower Fruit Mountain.

In the past, Lingchi had some reservations in Heaven, knowing he couldn't absorb too much at once and attract the attention of the immortals. But in Flower Fruit Mountain, Lingchi had no such reservations. It would be a waste to let a bunch of monkeys ruin such a good place; it would be better to let him make use of it.

Suck, suck hard!

It's just absorbing spiritual energy, not absorbing spiritual veins. As long as the spiritual veins continue, spiritual energy will be generated continuously. He's just harvesting a crop of chives, not cutting off the roots. Presumably, Sun Wukong won't mind.

Ling Chi stayed at Flower Fruit Mountain for a month. Although Sun Wukong felt that the spiritual energy of Flower Fruit Mountain seemed to have become somewhat thinner, he didn't think much of it. He simply treated Ling Chi to food and drink every day and sparred with him in martial arts.

In terms of strength, speed, and cultivation level, Ling Chi was definitely no match for Sun Wukong. However, Sun Wukong suppressed his cultivation level to the same Taiyi Golden Immortal level as Ling Chi, and then they only competed in martial arts. In this way, Ling Chi had the ability to fight back.

Sun Wukong learned many Taoist martial arts from Patriarch Bodhi, while Ling Chi was a hodgepodge, skilled in everything and proficient in everything. When they fought, they were at the same level and did not lose to each other, which surprised and excited Sun Wukong.

"Good brother, I never expected you to have such martial arts skills. I, Old Sun, underestimated you." Sun Wukong swung his golden cudgel, colliding with Ling Chi's Chef God Sword. Ling Chi was instantly knocked back hundreds of meters. Lan Kui let out a muffled groan, and Hong Kui also cried out, "Ouch!"

Ling Chi popped a sweet and sour pork dumpling into his mouth to replenish his energy and improve blood circulation. At the same time, he exclaimed, "What a powerful golden cudgel! If we're talking about divine weapons, there are probably few in the Three Realms that can rival it."

"Hehehe, this is the magic staff that stabilizes the sea. If it grazes you, you'll die; if it touches you, you'll perish. Brother Ling, be careful." Sun Wukong swung his staff again.

Having no other choice, Ling Chi abandoned his attempt to fight head-on and instead used Tai Chi swordsmanship, employing a tactic of using the opponent's force against them.

Sun Wukong's bravery is unparalleled in the Three Realms, but Ling Chi's Tai Chi sword technique is the strongest technique that uses softness to overcome hardness. No matter how brave Sun Wukong is, when he encounters Ling Chi's Tai Chi sword technique, he is like a wild ox falling into a swamp, slowly sliding into the abyss.

"Damn it! What kind of sword technique is this?! It's so unpleasant!" Sun Wukong became more and more impatient as the fight progressed, and he even unknowingly used the strength of a Great Luo Golden Immortal. Although Ling Chi's pressure increased sharply, he managed to withstand the pressure and maintain a stalemate by relying on his 100% proficiency in the Tai Chi sword technique.

After fighting for over a thousand rounds, Sun Wukong finally couldn't take it anymore. He immediately jumped out of the battle, shaking his head and waving his hands in frustration: "I'm not fighting anymore! I'm not fighting anymore! This isn't satisfying, this isn't satisfying!"

Ling Chi breathed a sigh of relief and chuckled, "Great Sage, you flatter me."

Sun Wukong glared at him, bared his teeth, and asked, "What kind of swordsmanship is this? It's quite strange."

Ling Chi sheathed the Chef God Sword and said, "Rootless and dustless, all things follow their natural course, Tai Chi!"

Eight Views Palace.

The Supreme Lord Laozi, seated on the cloud platform, opened his eyes and gazed at the enormous Bagua diagram in the center of the hall. A smile appeared on his lips: "What a magnificent Taiji! Yin and Yang in harmony, endlessly generating life, just as I believe in the Way of Laozi."

……

Great Thunder Temple.

The Buddha sighed softly, "What a pity, what a pity."

……

Mount Li.

The Old Mother of Lishan smiled slightly: "This little fellow actually has this skill, it's rare."

……

Wuzhuang Temple.

Zhen Yuanzi exclaimed, "Young friend Ling is truly extraordinary. Although his cultivation is insufficient, he possesses such martial arts skills that he is capable of fighting beyond his level."

……

Throughout the Three Realms and Six Paths, all the powerful beings witnessed the battle between Ling Chi and Sun Wukong. Sun Wukong's skills were beyond question, but what shocked them was Ling Chi, especially his Tai Chi sword, which seemed to point directly to the Great Dao, leaving all the powerful beings in awe.

Chapter Eight: Bai Suzhen Emerges from the Mountain

A month later, Ling Chi left Huaguo Mountain and went to the Purple Bamboo Forest in the South China Sea, where he met Guanyin Bodhisattva.

He didn't come for himself, but for Yilin.

Yilin has been sitting quietly by the Heavenly Tree for ten thousand years and has comprehended countless Buddhist principles, but she still has some doubts. So, taking advantage of this long holiday, Lingchi came to the South China Sea to ask Guanyin Bodhisattva for guidance.

Guanyin Bodhisattva was very surprised. She did not expect that Lingchi's understanding of Buddhism was so profound, not inferior to the Arhats of Buddhism, and even some Bodhisattvas might not be able to compare with him.

This aroused Guanyin Bodhisattva's great interest and goodwill towards him. She not only tried her best to answer his questions, but also asked him about Tai Chi theory.

Although Buddhism and Taoism are two different schools, they have aspects that can be learned from and interconnected. Lingchi mainly cultivates Taoist methods and secondarily Buddhist methods, and has also dabbled in many schools of thought. If he can do so, why can't Guanyin Bodhisattva?

Ling Chi didn't hold back much, explaining the theory of Tai Chi. Not only Guanyin Bodhisattva heard it, but many powerful beings also heard it. However, Ling Chi wasn't afraid of the technique being revealed. After all, everyone's path is different. There is no most powerful technique, only the most powerful person. Even if a technique is very powerful, if it's not suitable for one's own practice, it can only be used as a reference.

Ling Chi himself is a hybrid of the strengths of many schools. He doesn't mind others learning his techniques, since he learned them from others anyway. Sharing more will help to carry them forward.

Ling Chi knew that many powerful beings were listening, and the powerful beings also knew that Ling Chi knew they were listening. They maintained a tacit understanding, harmony, and friendship, and in the process, Ling Chi also gained some goodwill.

Ling Chi stayed in the Purple Bamboo Forest for half a month, asking all the questions for Yi Lin, and explaining the principles of Tai Chi to Guanyin Bodhisattva and various powerful beings.

Ling Chi stood up and said, "This exchange has been very fruitful. Thank you for your guidance, Bodhisattva."

Guanyin Bodhisattva smiled and said, "Tai Chi is profound and extensive. This humble monk should be thanking Benefactor Ling."

"You're too kind, Bodhisattva. I don't deserve it," Ling Chi said. "I've troubled you for so long, I'll take my leave now."

"In that case, take care, benefactor. This humble monk will not see you off any further."

"Wait."

……

Over several decades, Ling Chi traveled all over Dongsheng Shenzhou, Xiniu Hezhou, and Beiju Luzhou, enjoying the scenery, building a new network of relationships, and exchanging ideas with many powerful, medium, and efficient individuals, learning a great deal of useful knowledge.

Finally, Lingchi arrived at Nanzhanbuzhou. By then, the Tang Dynasty was over, and the dynasty he lived in was the Southern Song Dynasty. It was the autumn of the tenth year of Shaoxing, which should be 1140 AD.

Of course, this is based on modern algorithms; whether the world is actually like that is another matter entirely.

However, the current situation in China is exactly the same as that of the Southern Song Dynasty in history. The Song, Jin, Western Xia, Western Liao, Dali and other countries still exist. What is the difference? The territory of each country is more than ten times larger than the modern Earth. Even though the Southern Song Dynasty was forced to retreat to a corner, it still had a territory of 20 million square kilometers, which would be the world's largest country in modern times.

However, the Jin and Western Liao were even larger than the Southern Song. Even Dali had more than 10 million square kilometers of territory. They were practically giant states clustered together. However, the Southern Song was regarded as the legitimate dynasty by all the gods and Buddhas, while the Jin, Western Xia, and Western Liao were regarded as barbarian vassals and were not taken seriously.

But it doesn't matter. Changes in the human world have no effect on the gods. Throughout history, dynasties have come and gone, but the Jade Emperor has ruled the Heavenly Court for countless years. The number of immortals and Buddhas may change, but they have always existed. From the perspective of "The Three-Body Problem," if humans are three-dimensional beings, then immortals and Buddhas are four-dimensional beings. To immortals and Buddhas, humans are no different from ants.

So many people ask, "If immortals and Buddhas are so powerful, why don't they exterminate humanity?" That's a joke! There are so many ants, yet you haven't considered how to exterminate them! Besides, ants struggle to survive, and their impact on humans is negligible. Why would you want to exterminate them? They're not mosquitoes or flies. Moreover, the world is so vast, and there are so many mosquitoes and flies—could you possibly exterminate them all?

At most, they can be killed whenever they want. As for extinction, unless flies and mosquitoes lose their reproductive function, forget about it.

As for why gods and Buddhas accept offerings from humans, it's just like beekeepers who eat and sell the honey their bees collect to make a living; it's all about survival.

Moreover, bees are raised because honey is sweet and has economic value. If humans don't like honey, then bees have no value and can be killed or exterminated at will, no different from flies and cockroaches.

A great goddess like Nuwa, who was willing to create humans and mend the sky, is like a saintly mother among humans. She loves small animals and is willing to help them when they suffer. But if small animals are harmful to humans, then sorry, they will be killed or eaten without any discussion.

Therefore, it's better to rely on yourself than on God; becoming strong yourself is the only true principle.

……

Just as Ling Chi arrived in the Southern Continent, in a cave somewhere on Mount Emei, a long white worm successfully passed its tribulation amidst lightning and thunder, shedding its snake skin and transforming into a human.

A white gauze dress concealed her incredibly beautiful body, but her angelic beauty could not be hidden.

"After cultivating for seventeen hundred years, I have finally shed my snake form and transformed into human form. From now on, I, Bai Suzhen, can finally travel the world openly and honestly." The snake demon named Bai Suzhen murmured to herself, a smile on her lips, as she flew out of the cave after shedding her snake form.

The moment she emerged from the cave, the Old Mother of Lishan opened her eyes and smiled slightly: "You've finally achieved some success in your cultivation. What the future holds depends on your destiny."

……

After Bai Suzhen emerged from the cave, she flew through the mountains and unknowingly arrived at Mount Emei, where she saw many devout men and women preparing to climb the mountain to worship Guanyin.

Bai Suzhen had heard of Guanyin Bodhisattva's name for hundreds of years and knew that she was a top-level being in the Three Realms. So she used her invisibility technique to enter the crowd and go to the Golden Summit of Mount Emei to pay homage to Guanyin Bodhisattva.

To her surprise, Guanyin Bodhisattva actually appeared. Although only she could see her, it was enough to make her extremely happy.

Guanyin Bodhisattva saw Bai Suzhen in the crowd and asked gently, "Who is kneeling?"

Bai Suzhen said excitedly, "Bai Suzhen from the foot of Qingcheng Mountain pays her respects to the Great Master."

Guanyin Bodhisattva smiled and asked, "What is your wish that you ask of me?"

"Great Master, please allow me to speak." Just like in the TV series, Bai Suzhen actually began to sing: "Bai Suzhen beneath Qingcheng Mountain, cultivated this body for a thousand years in the cave, ahhhhhhh~~~~"

He sang a whole song, basically saying that he was wholeheartedly devoted to Taoism and hoped that Guanyin Bodhisattva could enlighten him, give him the status of a 'civil servant', and help him escape this sea of suffering.

After hearing this, Guanyin Bodhisattva intended to enlighten her, but after calculating with her fingers, she discovered that Bai Suzhen actually had some connection with Ling Chi, and couldn't help but be stunned.

"Great Master?" Bai Suzhen couldn't help but speak up when she saw Guanyin in a daze.

Guanyin Bodhisattva gave Bai Suzhen a deep look, and then calculated that Lingchi had already arrived in the Southern Continent and was currently wandering around Qiantang County. She then pointed out to Bai Suzhen: "You still have unfinished business of tracing your origins, so it is not appropriate for me to enlighten you."

"Tracing the origins?" Bai Suzhen was taken aback: "What does the Great Master mean by tracing the origins?"

Even Guanyin Bodhisattva was unsure of Ling Chi's actions. After all, Ling Chi was from beyond the heavens and was not subject to the jurisdiction of this world. It was already quite good that she could predict his location, but she had no idea what he would do in the future.

"Go to Qiantang County and find a man named Ling Chi. He will enlighten you." After saying this, Guanyin Bodhisattva transformed into a golden light and left.

Bai Suzhen knelt on the spot, her delicate brows slightly furrowed: "Ling Chi...who is that?"

Although she couldn't figure it out, she still followed Guanyin Bodhisattva's advice and went to Qiantang County in Hangzhou to find a person named Lingchi.

Perhaps you'll know once you see it.

……

Meanwhile, in Qiantang County.

Ling Chi was standing in front of a commoner's house, listening to the sound of reading coming from inside.

The king said, "I have an ailment; I am fond of women." The reply was, "In the past, Your Majesty was fond of women and loved your concubine. The Book of Poetry says, 'Duke Danfu of ancient times came to court on horseback, leading his people along the western bank of the river, until he reached the foot of Mount Qi. There he met Jiang Nu, and they lived together in harmony.' At that time, there were no resentful women within the court and no unmarried men without wives. If Your Majesty is fond of women, and you share this with the people, what harm will it do to you?"

The scholar then began reciting again, but when he got to "I have an illness, I am lustful," he couldn't remember the rest. He kept muttering "I have an illness, I am lustful" to himself. After doing this two or three times, a slightly displeased woman's voice rang out: "What lustful, lustful? It sounds awful!"

Ling Chi didn't listen to what was said after that; he simply squatted down by the door, lost in thought.

A moment later, footsteps approached, followed by a man's voice beside him: "Hey, who are you? Why are you squatting at my door?"

Ling Chi looked up and saw a middle-aged man dressed in a constable's uniform. He looked to be in his thirties, with a weathered face and eyes that couldn't hide his grievances, anger, and dissatisfaction.

Ling Chi glanced at him and asked, "Li Gongfu?"

Li Gongfu frowned: "Who are you? What do you want with me?"

Sure enough it was him.

Ling Chi smiled slightly and stood up.

Li Gongfu was taken aback: This kid is quite tall.

Li Gongfu was about 1.75 meters tall, but Ling Chi was 1.83 meters tall. Although she was a little thin, her tall and thin figure only made Li Gongfu look short and stocky. The two of them standing together looked like the two characters from a Chinese animated film, No-Brain and Unhappy.
