"Hmm." Dressed in a red Daoist robe, with long black hair and an imposing aura, Lingbao Daojun nodded, looking at Ling Chi with a smile, and said, "You are the God of Cooking?"

"This junior is Ling Chi." Facing Lingbao Daojun, Ling Chi almost knelt down. This aura was too terrifying. He felt like a tiny ant, and Lingbao Daojun could crush him at any time.

Although Zhen Yuanzi was friends with the Three Pure Ones, his cultivation level was clearly inferior to theirs, by a significant margin.

Lingbao Daojun is not the Tongtian Jiaozhu from the Fengshen novel, but one of the Three Pure Ones of Taoism. In Taoism, the Three Pure Ones are the highest level. However, in this world, although the Three Pure Ones are also very noble, they are only great beings on the same level as the Jade Emperor. They do not usually roam around the Heavenly Court, but have their own Taoist temples. They only occasionally show up when they receive an invitation from the Jade Emperor or the Queen Mother.

Ling Chi thought to himself: What an amazing person!

Lingbao Daojun said, "The food and wine are quite good."

"Thank you for your praise, senior. I will continue to work hard," Ling Chi said.

"Hmm," said Lingbao Daojun, "I heard you are from beyond the heavens?"

“Exactly.” Ling Chi nodded.

Lingbao Daojun's eyes deepened considerably. He said, "You may come to my Yuyu Heavenly Palace in your spare time." He casually tossed him a token, saying, "Enter your spiritual power into the token before you come, and I will sense it."

"Hiss~~~~~~~~"

The immortal who understood what the token represented gasped in astonishment, his eyes filled with envy as he looked at Ling Chi.

Ling Chi quickly clasped his hands and bowed, saying, "This junior will definitely go."

Lingbao Daojun nodded and turned to leave.

Once he was out of sight, the gods breathed a sigh of relief. The Barefoot Immortal exclaimed, "Young Chef God, do you know what this token represents?"

Ling Chi clasped his hands in a fist and bowed, saying, "I humbly request the Barefoot Immortal to enlighten me."

"Only by holding the token can one go to Yu Yu Heavenly Palace at any time to meet with Dao Lord Lingbao. With it, one is essentially protected by Dao Lord Lingbao. Even if His Majesty and Empress want to harm you, they will have to think twice about the consequences."

After hearing the Barefoot Immortal's words, Ling Chi was utterly shocked: "Really!?"

“That’s absolutely true.” Nezha, the Third Prince, walked over.

"Greetings, Third Prince." Ling Chi and the other immortals bowed in greeting. Although Nezha's strength was not top-tier, he held a high position in the Heavenly Court and had many titles, similar to a second-rank general in the common people. He was the protector of the Heavenly Court, and Ling Chi naturally respected him.

Judging from Nezha's appearance alone, he seems to be just a child of ten years old, but with the Universe Ring on his back, the Hun Tian Ling around his waist, the Fire-Tipped Spear in his hand, and the Wind-Fire Wheels under his feet, he is awe-inspiring and not to be underestimated.

Nezha looked up at Ling Chi and said, "Brother Chef is truly remarkable. He has actually gained the favor of Daoist Lingbao. His future achievements are limitless."

"Your Highness flatters me. I only wish to improve my cooking skills; I haven't thought about anything else," Ling Chi said.

Nezha was taken aback for a moment, then laughed and said, "No wonder Lingbao Daojun took a liking to you; you are indeed extraordinary."

Ling Chi smiled but remained silent.

"When you have time in the future, you are welcome to come to my house for a chat." With these words, Nezha left.

The other deities exchanged a few words with Ling Chi to become acquainted, and then gradually departed.

Just when Ling Chi thought the social engagement was over, a woman of exceptional beauty and grace walked gracefully towards him. The moment he saw her, Ling Chi's heart skipped a beat.

Oh no, it's the feeling of falling in love!

"What?" The woman asked, seeing Ling Chi staring in disbelief, as she touched her cheek. "Is there something dirty on my face?"

Ling Chi snapped out of his daze and shook his head repeatedly: "No, it's just that for some reason, my heart was beating a little fast and I had some difficulty breathing the moment I saw the fairy."

"..." The woman chuckled softly and said, "Do you always talk to strange women like this?"

Ling Chi shook his head, his brow furrowing slightly. "This is the first time I've had this feeling. I feel a certain warmth towards you, Fairy." He paused, then quickly clasped his hands in a fist and asked, "I still don't know your name, Fairy. May I ask?"

"Heh..." The woman smiled and said, "I am the Goddess of Mount Li."

The Goddess of Mount Li?

Ling Chi was taken aback.

It seems like I've never heard of it.

I've heard of the Old Mother of Lishan; she's the one in Journey to the West who impersonated Zhenzhen, Ai'ai, and Lianlian's mother.

"Never heard of it?" Seeing the doubt in Ling Chi's eyes, the Goddess of Lishan asked with a smile.

Ling Chi was a little embarrassed, but still nodded: "Sorry, I'm new here and ignorant."

"It's alright," the Goddess of Lishan smiled. "You'll know now, won't you?"

"What the fairy says is true." Ling Chi smiled. He had a cheerful personality and was worth befriending.

The Goddess of Mount Li smiled and said, "I am very curious about your experiences in the heavens. When will the God of Cookery have some free time? I would like to invite you to visit Mount Li."

Ling Chi was stunned again; this was the first time a goddess had ever invited him to be her guest.

Could it be that she's attracted to my good looks?

"Although the Peach Banquet has ended, I still need to prepare His Majesty and the Empress's dinner. I won't have time until around 7 PM," Ling Chi said.

It was already late afternoon (3-5 PM). The goddess of Mount Li calculated the time and nodded: "Alright, late afternoon (7-9 PM). I'll be waiting for you at Mount Li. Don't be late."

"Uh..." Faced with such a proactive goddess, Ling Chi wouldn't back down: "I'll definitely be there."

The goddess of Mount Li smiled and turned to descend to the mortal realm.

Ling Chi was struck by the smile she gave him before she left, and his heart skipped a beat. This feeling was unlike anything he had ever experienced before.

Could it be that my brother has fallen in love with her at first sight?

I don't think so!

Ling Chi frowned, went to the Queen Mother of the West to collect the nine-thousand-year-old peaches, and returned to the imperial kitchen with Shuang'er and the others. After preparing dinner for the day, he told Shuang'er and the others what to do and headed straight for Mount Li in the lower realm.

Chapter Six: A Stunning Luck

Mount Li, a branch of the Qinling Mountains, rises to an altitude of 1302 meters. Composed of the East and West Xiuling Ridges, it is an isolated horst-type fault-block mountain formed during the late Qinling uplift, abruptly situated within the Weihe Rift Zone. Its undulating shape and lush vegetation, resembling a dark blue-gray horse from a distance, give it its name. Mount Li is also known as "Xiuling" (Embroidered Ridge) due to its verdant and picturesque scenery. At sunset, Mount Li is bathed in golden light, creating a breathtakingly beautiful scene known as "Lishan Evening Glow."

Throughout the known history of Lingchi, from the Zhou, Qin, Han, and Tang dynasties onwards, this area has always served as a royal garden, with numerous palaces and villas.

In ancient times, Nuwa "refined stones to mend the sky" here; at the end of the Western Zhou Dynasty, King You of Zhou staged the historical story of "lighting the beacon fires to amuse the feudal lords" here; Qin Shi Huang built his mausoleum at the foot of Mount Li, leaving behind the world-famous Terracotta Army; during the Tang Dynasty, Emperor Xuanzong of Tang and Yang Guifei staged a tragic love story here; in modern history, the famous "Xi'an Incident" also took place on Mount Li.

It can be said that Mount Li is one of the witnesses to the historical context of the Chinese nation.

However, apart from the legend of Nuwa patching up the sky and the story of the beacon fires playing with the feudal lords, these events have not yet occurred in this world.

When Ling Chi arrived at Mount Li, a girl in red appeared gracefully: "Is the Heavenly God of Cookery here?"

Ling Chi was taken aback and quickly clasped his hands in greeting, saying, "Indeed, may I ask which deity you are, fairy?"

The girl in red was very beautiful, and her voice was as melodious as a phoenix's cry. Calling her a fairy would not be an exaggeration.

The girl in red smiled radiantly and said, "I am Jin Ning, a maidservant of the Goddess of Lishan, and I have been ordered to come and welcome the God of Cookery."

"I see." Ling Chi clasped her hands in a fist and bowed, "Thank you for leading the way, sister."

"You're too kind, young master. Please come with me."

Led by Jin Ning, Ling Chi entered Mount Li and soon found the Goddess of Mount Li soaking in a hot spring in a steaming cave.

The Goddess of Lishan turned her back to Ling Chi, her fragrant shoulders half-exposed, appearing and disappearing in the hot spring. When Ling Chi saw this, he hurriedly turned around, about to complain to Jin Ning, but saw Jin Ning smiling and winking at him at the cave entrance before disappearing from the spot.

Ling Chi was taken aback for a moment, then heard the Goddess of Lishan say, "This divine soup can cure many stubborn skin diseases, and for those without symptoms, it can make their skin delicate and smooth. Come and soak in it!"

"This..." Ling Chi hesitated, unsure whether she was interested in him or trying to frame him.

"Heh..." Perhaps sensing Ling Chi's concerns, the Goddess of Lishan chuckled and said, "If I'm not afraid, what are you afraid of?"

Ling Chi took a deep breath and said, "I apologize."

……

Soaking in the hot spring called 'Divine Hot Spring', Ling Chi felt refreshed and couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief.

"How do you feel?" asked the goddess of Mount Li, who was five meters away.

"It's very comfortable," Ling Chi praised. "For women who love beauty, this divine soup is priceless."

The goddess of Mount Li smiled slightly and said, "Could you tell me about things beyond the heavens?"

"What does the fairy want to know?" Ling Chi asked.

“Anything is fine,” said the Goddess of Lishan. “I am very curious about everything beyond the heavens.”

"Actually, although the world I live in is technologically advanced and life is convenient, the individual strength is very poor, even inferior to the mortals of this world. If it weren't for the development of industrial technology, there would be nothing to say." Ling Chi gave a brief account of modern lifestyles and customs, as well as the open and covert struggles between countries and the geographical environment.

"Is your world a sphere?" the goddess of Mount Li asked.

"Yes." Ling Chi nodded and gave a brief overview of the Earth's shape, gravity, the nine planets of the solar system, the Milky Way, extragalactic galaxies, and other cosmological knowledge.

He was just a high school graduate with limited knowledge, but to the Goddess of Lishan, it was already an incredible 'geographical discovery'.

"This world is truly vast and full of wonders," the Goddess of Mount Li exclaimed. "It's completely different from this world."

“If you ask me, my world might be a place of exile,” Ling Chi said. “Although there are legends of immortals, no one has ever seen a real immortal. Everyone thinks there is Chang’e on the moon, but when they go up there, they find it is a desolate wasteland. They say there is a golden crow in the sun, but it is just a giant fireball. There is no way there can be any life. They say that immortals live in the heavens, but there is no heaven at all. Apart from Earth, you can’t even see half an alien creature. It’s simply a dead zone.”

After hearing these words, the Goddess of Mount Li seemed to be deep in thought: "If what you say is true, then Earth is actually the mother of all worlds."

"The Mother of All Realms?" Ling Chi was astonished.

The Goddess of Mount Li smiled slightly and said, "The Tao gives birth to One, One gives birth to Two, Two gives birth to Three, and Three gives birth to all things. Without One, how can there be all things? If Earth is truly the only life form remaining in the entire universe, after continuous development, it will travel to other star systems and develop entirely new civilizations and worlds, thus becoming the mother of all worlds."

Ling Chi was taken aback for a moment, then his eyes lit up and he said, "What the fairy says is very true. If that is so, Earthlings may not be lowly, but rather very noble."

The Goddess of Mount Li smiled and said, "It's best that you think that way."

She paused for a moment, then said, "Ah, I'm starting to miss the delicious food at the Peach Banquet."

"What's so difficult about that?"

A wooden tray appeared out of thin air, on which were placed several exquisite and delicious snacks to accompany the drinks, a pot of wine, and two wine glasses.

Ling Chi poured two glasses of fine wine, picked up one for himself, and pushed the tray toward the Goddess of Lishan.

The Goddess of Mount Li smiled slightly as she looked at the wine and snacks floating by. She took a sip of the wine, savored a few bites of the snacks, and said contentedly, "I want to ask you something."

Ling Chi knew the main topic was coming, so he focused his mind and said, "May I ask, Fairy?"

The goddess of Mount Li put down her wine cup and said, "Why is there a familiar aura within you?"

"???" Ling Chi looked bewildered: "What you said, Fairy... really doesn't make sense to me."

The goddess of Mount Li smiled slightly and said, "I have an elder brother whose aura is similar to yours."

"???" Ling Chi looked even more bewildered: "Who is the fairy's brother?"
