After Maria Hill walked in, she asked, "Sir, you wanted to see me?"

Nick Fury nodded and said, "Yes. I just spoke with General Ross and he seemed a bit off. I suspect the person I was communicating with wasn't General Ross. If I'm not mistaken, Adam Stark is taking Bruce Banner to them. Contact Adam Stark and tell him this."

Maria Hill was stunned upon hearing this and said, "What's going on? General Ross is an imposter? How is that possible?"

Nick Fury said calmly, "I tested him a few times just now. But he still didn't notice. This is not the reaction that old fox Ross should have. That's why I suspect that Ross might be a fake."

Maria Hill asked, "Who do you think did this? Could it be Hydra? After all, they always seem to be working against us."

After hearing this, Nick Fury said, "I will arrange for someone else to handle the investigation. You had better contact Adam Stark immediately. I don't want to see Adam Stark have any conflicts with the US military."

Maria Hill nodded and said, "Okay, I'll contact him right away." She then immediately called Adam.

At that moment, Adam was flying in the air when he heard Athena say that Maria Hill was looking for him. Although he was a little confused, he still accepted the message.

"Adam, where are you now?"

Adam replied, "Me? I'm just taking a ride in the sky. What's wrong? Is there something you need?"

Maria Hill, knowing that Adam might be on his way to Virginia, said, "Here's the thing, our director just spoke with General Ross, but he suspects that General Ross has been replaced. The person he met with wasn't the real General Ross, and this imposter seems to want you to have a conflict with the military, so he asked me to call and remind you."

Adam paused for a moment, then asked, "Do you know who did this?"

Maria Hill shook her head and said, "No, but I suspect this matter is related to Hydra. Be careful when you go there, and don't fall into their trap."

Adam laughed and said, "Don't worry, I'll be fine. Thank you for letting me know."

Maria Hill chuckled and said, "If you want to thank me, just invite me to dinner sometime. That way you'll show your sincerity."

Adam laughed and said, "No problem at all. Let's talk about it in a few days. As long as you have time then."

After hearing this, Maria Hill said, "Then it's a deal. As long as it's your treat, I will definitely make time. Don't go back on your word."

Adam said, "Okay, it's a deal. I've arrived there. We'll talk again later." He then hung up and began to carefully examine the hospital below from the air.

Dr. Bruce Banner asked, "Adam, have we arrived?"

Adam nodded and said, "Yes, we have indeed arrived. However, a friend of mine at S.H.I.E.L.D. just called me and said that General Ross may have been replaced. I'm going to check what happened."

Bruce Banner immediately panicked upon hearing this, saying, "General Ross has been framed? What do you mean? Has someone kidnapped him? What about Betty? How is Betty? Is she in any danger? Adam, please help me find out!"

Adam explained, "Yes, he's been kidnapped and is lying in a freezer in the hospital morgue. He'll probably die in about ten minutes. But don't worry, Betty is fine, although she seems to be more seriously injured and is still unconscious."

After listening, Dr. Bruce Banner asked, "So what should we do now?"

Adam pondered for a moment and said, "There are soldiers guarding the area around the hospital, but I noticed that the people inside seem to be the imposter Ross's men. I'll take you to Betty's ward first, then subdue these imposters, rescue General Ross, and then we'll meet up."

Dr. Bruce Banner nodded and said, "Well, that's settled then. Although General Ross doesn't like me very much, he is Betty's father after all, and I don't want Betty to be sad in the future, so I'll leave General Ross to you, Adam."

Adam chuckled and said, "Hehe, this little thing is no problem for me. Alright, let's go downstairs." With that, he led Dr. Bruce Banner through the window into Betty Ross's ward, and then suddenly disappeared.

After leaving Betty Ross's hospital room, Adam went straight to the morgue, rescued General Ross, and then took him to the military's temporary command post outside the hospital, where he handed him over to his adjutant who was waiting for orders.

The adjutant was shocked when he saw this and said, "Adam Stark, what are you trying to do? Why are you attacking the general again!"

Adam said calmly, "Take a look at your 'general' first!" He then pointed to the screen where the fake Ross was still waiting in the hospital. Clearly, the other party had not yet realized that the real General Ross had been rescued.

The adjutant was taken aback after looking at it and asked, "What exactly is going on?"

Adam shrugged and said, "It's a very simple thing. You didn't even guess this?"

Upon hearing this, the adjutant exclaimed, "Damn it, who exactly is that guy?"

Adam shook his head and said, "Don't ask me that question. Alright, I've helped you get through safely with your general. Now I'm going to deal with those people. You should know what to do, right?"

The adjutant nodded and said, "Don't worry, Mr. Stark, I know what to do. I won't let them find out that you've rescued the real general."

Adam laughed and said, "Hehe, that's good. Otherwise, I was really afraid that the imposter inside would hurt your general's daughter and then offend the person inside. You know, the person inside is a monster that even I spent a long time subduing."

Chapter Ninety-Four: The Rematch with the Hulk

Adam arrived above the hospital with Dr. Bruce Banner, only to receive a call from Maria Hill. Hill told Adam that the General Ross inside was likely an imposter, and that some people seemed intent on sabotaging Stark Industries' cooperation with the US military, warning him to be cautious.

Upon hearing this, Adam immediately used his X-ray vision to survey the hospital and indeed discovered the imposter General Ross and the real General Ross, who had been stuffed into the morgue's freezer. Adam then discreetly led Bruce Banner to Betty Ross's room, and then went out to rescue the real General Ross, as he had been in the freezer for a long time and would have died if not rescued soon.

After rescuing General Ross, he handed him over to the waiting adjutant and told them not to alert the imposter inside. Adam then left alone and returned to the hospital, only to find that the imposter still hadn't noticed him.

All of this was thanks to Athena. After Adam heard Maria Hill say that General Ross was an imposter, he had Athena take control of the hospital's surveillance system. Therefore, even though Adam had already dealt with some of the people inside, the imposters waiting for Adam to take the bait still didn't realize that Adam had already arrived and had even rescued the real General Ross.

Adam smiled slightly, opened the door, and went inside.

The imposter was talking to its adjutant. Of course, this was all Athena's doing. As an intelligent program, it could imitate anyone's voice, so the imposter didn't realize it was talking to a supercomputer and continued to issue orders with an air of superiority.

As soon as Adam opened the door and walked in, the imposter was startled. However, since he was now wearing General Ross's face, he shouted angrily, "Adam Stark? What are you doing here? What are you doing here?"

Adam smiled slightly and said, "Actually, I'm quite curious about what you're doing here? And who are you?"

The imposter was startled upon hearing this, but forced himself to remain calm and said, "Hmph. I'm here to capture the fugitive who harmed my daughter." As he said this, he slowly reached under the table, trying to pull out his weapon.

But how could the imposter's movements escape Adam's eyes, who possessed X-ray vision? So Adam sneered and said, "You'd better not take out your pistol, since you can't hurt me."

The imposter had already reached for his pistol. Hearing Adam's words, he said, "I don't think so!" He then fired a shot, and a blue energy beam shot from the muzzle toward Adam.

Adam dispersed the energy attack with a wave of his hand and said calmly, "Heh. It seems your intelligence is outdated. I encountered your people in Africa, with the exact same weapons. You still call yourself Ross? Tell me, who are you?"

The imposter sneered and said, "Hmph, so what if you've seen through me? Everyone has seen that you attacked General Ross. As long as I die, you'll become a wanted criminal in America. Heh. I think it's a very worthwhile deal to exchange my life for your reputation."

Adam said calmly, "Sorry to disappoint you, I've already rescued the real General Ross, so you can stop with your little tricks. Go back to S.H.I.E.L.D. and play your games there." After saying that, Adam went over and knocked the imposter unconscious, then walked out of the office.

Meanwhile, the real General Ross had woken up and taken control of all the soldiers brought by the imposters in the hospital. He then limped towards his daughter's ward. Although he did intend to use his daughter as bait to lure Dr. Bruce Banner, he was still very concerned about her safety.

Sure enough, upon hearing from his adjutant that Bruce Banner was right behind his daughter's hospital room, he disregarded his adjutant's advice and, despite his frostbitten body, dragged himself step by step toward his daughter's side.

When he arrived at his daughter's hospital room, he found Bruce Banner sitting beside her, talking softly. General Ross was furious. How could he allow such a dangerous person to be near his daughter? So he walked over with a cold face and patted Bruce Banner on the shoulder.

"What are you doing here? Do you want to kill my daughter?!"

Upon hearing this, Bruce Banner said, "I'm sorry, General Ross, I must confirm Betty's safety. I love her very much, and I cannot lose her."

Upon hearing this, General Ross angrily retorted, "How dare you bring up Betty? Have you forgotten who hurt Betty?"

Upon hearing this, Bruce Banner said, "I'm sorry, General Ross, the experiment went wrong. I didn't mean to."

General Ross, not wanting to back down, immediately shouted to his men, "Soldiers, soldiers, where the hell are you? Arrest this guy right now!!!"

Bruce Banner felt a surge of anger and resentment. He had been conducting research for General Ross's sake, but now that something had happened, this man had completely disregarded his relationship with Ross's daughter and wanted to issue a warrant for his arrest.

Beep! Beep! Beep!

The watch Adam gave to Dr. Bruce Banner started ringing with a sharp sound. Bruce Banner suddenly stopped, pushed away the soldiers who tried to grab him, and ran out of the hospital. At that moment, several soldiers who had been lying in ambush saw Bruce Banner running out of the hospital and fired tranquilizer darts at him.

Bruce Banner, being an ordinary human, had no way to dodge the soldiers' attacks, so several tranquilizer darts quickly hit him. As he ran away, Bruce Banner thought to himself, "This is bad." Before he could react, a surge of power suddenly rushed through his body, causing him to involuntarily let out a roar, and then the Hulk reappeared.

The Hulk appeared and immediately spotted the soldiers firing tranquilizer darts at him. He grinned, revealing a sinister smile, and then leaped onto the tree where the soldiers were hiding, causing them to flee in panic.

When General Ross saw the Hulk appear, he sneered and said, "Notify the armored forces to attack this monster immediately, try to capture it alive, and if that's not possible, kill it!"

Adam had just come out when he heard the order. He frowned and said, "General Ross, isn't it a bit too hasty to decide someone's life or death so easily? Besides, that Hulk is your daughter's boyfriend."

General Ross replied coldly, "Mr. Adam Stark, while I appreciate your help, please do not interfere in our work."

After hearing this, Adam looked at the army being relentlessly beaten by the Hulk outside and said calmly, "Heh, I'll listen to you, General Ross. I won't interfere in your affairs today. Since there's nothing for me to do here, I should go back. My girlfriend is looking for me." With that, he slowly walked away.

General Ross, seeing his army so easily defeated by the Hulk, turned pale and said, "Fine, Mr. Stark, you win. I now beg you to help these innocent soldiers. Whatever the fault, it's my problem, not the soldiers' fault."

Adam smiled slightly and said, "Although I disliked you before, I now find that you are indeed a good general. Alright, I'll be right there, but I won't help you capture the Hulk. Let me make that clear first."

After hearing this, General Ross said, "Okay, I understand. We can talk about the rest later. Please make your move as soon as possible."

Adam nodded and said, "Hehe, since you've put it that way, then I'll make my move." With that, he vanished in an instant.

Adam left and instantly appeared in front of the Hulk, who was about to throw one armored vehicle at another. He reached out, snatched the armored vehicle, and then kicked the Hulk away.

The Hulk, suddenly attacked by Adam, went even crazier. With a roar, he grabbed a tree behind him and hurled it at Adam. Adam smiled slightly, dodging the Hulk's attack, hovering in the air and giving the Hulk the international hand gesture before flying away. Adam did this to lure the Hulk away from the hospital area and then send Bruce Banner abroad, since Bruce Banner was currently America's most wanted criminal.

Chapter Ninety-Five: Battle

Adam takes Dr. Bruce Banner to visit his girlfriend, but discovers that his father-in-law, General Ross, has been captured and is being held in the hospital morgue. Upon hearing this news, Bruce Banner begs Adam for help. Adam, thinking that since he has already helped, might as well go all the way, intervenes and rescues General Ross, knocking out the imposter.

During this time, General Ross, disregarding his own injuries, went to his daughter's hospital room and saw Bruce Banner inside. Enraged, General Ross prepared to order his soldiers to arrest him. However, Bruce Banner knew that if he was arrested, he would be studied by the military, and the military would not study how to treat him, but rather how to mass-produce his kind. Therefore, upon hearing General Ross say that he was to be arrested, he stood up and ran out.

Bruce Banner, who had escaped from the hospital, was ambushed by soldiers lying in wait near the hospital. He was injected with dozens of tranquilizer darts, and the anger that Bruce Banner had been suppressing with his rationality suddenly erupted, and the Hulk reappeared.

Faced with the Hulk, who became braver and stronger the angrier he got, these modern soldiers were simply easy prey, being repeatedly tortured to the point of near death by the Hulk. In the end, General Ross could no longer bear to see his soldiers being abused by the Hulk, so he had no choice but to ask Adam for help.

Adam smiled slightly after hearing this and said, "Although you are not a good father, you are a good general. Alright, I've decided to help you. But don't expect me to help you capture the Hulk. That's not my job. At most, I will only help you drive the Hulk out, that's all."

Upon hearing this, General Ross knew he couldn't command Adam Stark, nor could he threaten this guy who was clearly a military partner. So he could only suppress his anger and said, "Fine, you just need to get the Hulk out of here, and we'll handle the rest."

Adam nodded. He said, "No problem. Oh, and remember, you owe me a favor. I won't help you for free. You know who I am; I'm a businessman." With that, he left.

After leaving the hospital, Adam quickly diverted the Hulk's anger from the soldiers, then hovered in the air and said to the Hulk, "Hey, big guy, come and get me!" He then gave the Hulk the middle finger before flying away.

Although the Hulk is no longer Bruce Banner's consciousness, he still retains some of Bruce Banner's memories. Therefore, he became even angrier when he saw Adam give him the middle finger. He abandoned the soldiers who were shooting at him, pushed off with his feet, and jumped up to attack Adam. However, how could the Hulk's clumsy method possibly attack Adam, who could fly freely? Adam easily dodged the Hulk's attack and then provoked the Hulk again.

The Hulk, enraged at the sight, seemed to grow even larger in an instant. He leaped up again to attack Adam. Adam smiled slightly, dodging the Hulk's attack, then grabbed the Hulk's foot, preparing to carry him away from the city and summon Dr. Bruce Banner from the suburbs.

However, Adam had clearly underestimated the Hulk's abilities. After his earlier outburst of anger, the Hulk's strength and reaction speed had noticeably increased. Just as Adam grabbed his left foot, the Hulk roared and swung his hammer-like fist, delivering a powerful blow to Adam, causing him to plummet from mid-air.

With a loud thud, Adam and the Hulk landed together on the Culver University football field, creating two sizable craters in the ground.

"Ptooey!" Adam spat out the dirt in his mouth. Looking at the Hulk, who had also stood up and was attacking him, his eyes were no longer relaxed but filled with seriousness. This Hulk was several times stronger than before.

Adam dodged the Hulk's attack with a swift movement, and a heat ray struck the Hulk. To Adam's surprise, a small portion of the heat ray he fired was absorbed by the Hulk to heal the wounds caused by the heat ray.

Adam looked at the Hulk, who was constantly patting his chest, and said, "Damn it, could it be that absorbing gamma rays has given him the ability to absorb all kinds of rays?"

After hearing this, Athena said, "I think it's very likely, Master. I just scanned the Hulk's body and found that he constantly absorbs various rays from Earth and then releases them by getting angry. That's probably why he gets stronger the angrier he gets."

Adam was immediately annoyed and said, "So, we can't use heat rays to attack him now?"

Athena nodded and said, "That's right. Using heat rays will only allow it to slowly absorb its master's power and become an even more powerful being. At that time, even the master should not be its match."
