A few days ago, after John entered the city, he discovered that Jamie and he were also wanted by the FBI because of Frank. After all, the timing of his and Jamie's disappearance was too coincidental. The FBI suspected that Frank was rescued by them, and since they couldn't find the two of them, they decided to put a warrant for their arrest along with Frank's. Therefore, they are currently unable to enter the city.

After hearing this, Jamie patted Frank on the shoulder and said, "Then you'd better be careful!"

John handed Frank a backpack and said, “There’s some cash and weapons in here. You’re wanted by the authorities, so be careful. If things get really bad, come back and we’ll figure something out together.”

Frank nodded: "I understand. Take care, everyone."

After saying goodbye to his two brothers, he disguised himself and drove the car John had prepared for him away from the town. After driving for more than an hour, he arrived in New York City and secretly made his way back to the apartment building across from his house, to a room where he stored his equipment.

He left some credit cards, a considerable amount of cash, a large quantity of weapons, and several sets of protective clothing in the house. This house, unknown even to his wife, was one he had specifically bought as a precaution, so he could keep an eye on his home.

After observing the situation, Frank discovered that several FBI agents were hiding in his house. Knowing that his wife and children were not home, he left the room.

After a day of investigation, he learned that his wife was dead, but his son had been rescued by Xia Ying and his whereabouts were unknown. He also confirmed that the person who sought revenge against him was Congressman Edward Michel, which ignited his thirst for vengeance. He put on his protective suit, which was printed with a pale skull, and, armed with his weapons, went undercover into the hideout of a gang under Edward Michel's command.

A thug spotted Frank, who was dressed strangely, and shouted, "Hey, you! This isn't a costume party. Get out of here!"

Upon seeing the henchman, Frank revealed a bloodthirsty smile and said, "Bullying the weak is a crime! So die!" With that, he shot the henchman dead.

Chapter Sixty-Six: Jack Wakes Up

After being immersed in the life serum for a week, Jack Castor finally woke up.

When Adam heard the news, it was very late. He was on the phone with Christine when Athena informed him.

After hearing that Jack was awake, Adam said to Christine, "Honey, something came up here. See you tomorrow. Don't worry, as long as it's not urgent, I'll definitely pick you up tomorrow. I love you too, bye-bye." Then he hung up the phone.

Adam asked, "What do you remember?"

Upon hearing this, Jack said, "Oh, I went to the zoo with my parents. Actually, I didn't want to go to the one in Central Park, but my father said we'd go to this one first and then go to another zoo later. After we finished visiting the zoo, we were about to eat when I heard a loud bang, and that's all I remember. By the way, Shadow, how did I become like this?" As he spoke, he finally remembered that he had grown so big overnight.

Adam sighed softly and said, "Listen, Jack, there was an explosion, and you were seriously injured. I saved you."

Upon hearing this, Jack immediately asked, "What about my parents?"

Adam replied, "Alright, since you miss your mother, let's go see her."

Jack asked in confusion, "Didn't you say that Mother went to Heaven? I know that only the dead go to Heaven, but how can we meet the dead?"

Adam said calmly, "Just follow me!" After saying that, he led Jack into the armory, got into a bat-shaped plane, and flew away.

Since it was already night, and the Batplane used the same silver powder as their battle suits, no one could find Adam and his crew. So Adam and Jack took the plane to the highest altitude that was supposed to be restricted.

Jack was captivated by the beauty of the night, and his sorrow lessened considerably. Adam smiled and said, "Alright, now we should be closest to your mother. Tell her everything on your mind; she'll definitely be able to hear you!"

After hearing this, Jack asked, "Really?"

Adam smiled and nodded, saying, "Yes, it's true. She'll be watching you all the time. Okay, I won't eavesdrop on your conversation anymore. You should have a good chat with your mother."

Jack nodded with a happy expression and said, "Yes!" Then he began to tell his mother about his situation.

Adam had headphones in his ears, but that didn't stop him from hearing Jack's voice. Listening to Jack's slightly naive words, he couldn't help but think of his mother—not Maria, but his biological mother. He didn't know his mother's name or what she looked like, but he was certain that the woman everyone else thought was his mother was not his mother at all. He had realized this when he received the suit. Perhaps he was an alien, Adam sometimes thought.

Just then, Athena's voice rang in Adam's ears.

"Master, we've found Frank. He's wearing a combat suit with a white skull on it and is fighting with the underworld organization that monitored him last time. Quite a few people have already died. This guy is insane; he kills anyone he sees."

Adam frowned upon hearing this and said, "I understand. Send the map to the plane, and we'll go right away."

Athena nodded and said, "Okay, it's been uploaded."

Adam nodded, then said to Jack, "Jack, we've found your father."

Jack was overjoyed upon hearing this and said, "Really? Haha, Mother really heard me. I just said I wanted to find Father, and I've already found his whereabouts."

Adam smiled and said, "Yes, now that we've found your father, say goodbye to your mother. We're leaving."

Jack nodded immediately after hearing this and said, "Okay, Mom, thank you for helping me find my father. Don't worry, I will take good care of him. I'm all grown up now and won't cause him any trouble. Hehe, goodbye, Mom. I'll definitely talk to you again when I have the chance." After saying that, he wiped away the tears that couldn't help but flow, smiled at Adam, and showed that he really wasn't crying.

Adam sighed softly after reading it, then piloted his plane directly to the address provided by Athena, and then heard screams coming from the buildings below.

Adam's impression of Frank instantly turned negative. He knew Frank wanted revenge, but such a brutal and inhumane method was not something Adam could condone. He turned to Jack behind him and said, "Wait here a moment, I'll go get your father." Without waiting for Jack's reply, he jumped off the plane and instructed Athena to watch over Jack.

Adam used his hang glider to descent, crashing through a window into the building from which screams were emanating. He saw Frank, his eyes bloodshot, relentlessly shooting thugs with his dual pistols. Adam landed with a thud among them and said calmly, "Enough! Stop killing!"

Chapter Sixty-Seven: The Punisher (Part Two)

When Frank learned that his wife was dead and his child was missing, the bloodthirsty side that had been hidden in his heart was finally awakened. He put on his protective suit, sprayed a white skull on it, and Frank's path of revenge began.

Through his informants, Frank quickly found out who the men who had been following him were. When night fell, Frank, fully armed, arrived at their hideout, and a one-sided massacre began.

As a battle-hardened special forces soldier and an outstanding FBI agent, these thugs who could only bully honest people were no match for Frank. They were killed by Frank in just a few moves. It can be said that Frank reached the tenth floor of the enemy's lair without any obstacles. As long as he went up one more floor, he would be able to find the enemy's leader.

But at that moment, Adam descended from the sky, landing between Frank and the thugs, blocking Frank's path.

"That's enough, Frank, stop killing people."

Frank, upon seeing this, calmly said, "Shadowbringer?! I know you're a superhero, but this is my business. Please don't interfere! Today, I'm going to show them that justice still exists in this world."

Adam was slightly angry and instantly teleported to block Frank's bullet, saying, "As expected, you people from the FBI are all such people who treat human life like dirt. No wonder they wanted to kill you to silence you."

Frank scoffed, "Oh, do you expect me to carry out that kind of weak justice like you? Sorry, I can't do that yet. If you block my way, I won't be so polite."

Adam was furious upon hearing this and said, "I really don't know what gives you the audacity to think you can pose a threat to me." With that, he moved his foot and knocked Frank to the ground with a bang, then knocked unconscious the large hands that rushed over to kill Frank.

Upon seeing this, Frank sarcastically remarked, "What's the point of doing this? If you put them in jail today, they'll just be released in a few days to continue their evil deeds. You might as well just shoot them dead."

Adam said calmly, "I'm sorry, I don't have a habit of killing people indiscriminately, and I don't believe I have the right to decide whether someone else's life continues."

Frank scoffed, "Then what about those guys who kill randomly? What about the guy who blew up the whole fast food restaurant to kill me? Why didn't you bring them to justice?"

After hearing this, Adam said, "I know who did it, and you know too, but we don't have clear evidence. If you kill him now, you're just a murderer. But if you can find out his criminal record and bring him to court, then you'll be a hero!"

Frank shook his head and said, "I don't want to be that kind of suffocating hero. Right now, all I want to do is kill those evil people. As for whether I'll become a murderer, I haven't thought that much about it."

After hearing this, Adam asked, "And what about Jack? Are you going to make Jack live this life of hiding and running away with you too?"

Upon hearing this, Frank struggled to his feet and asked, "Do you know where Jack is?"

Adam was somewhat embarrassed after hearing this and said, "I know. Jack was seriously injured at the time, and I took him to the hospital. After that, I checked your information and found that the FBI and the ** organization were targeting you. They were afraid that your son would be harmed, so they took him to their residence for special treatment."

Frank gritted his teeth and said, "As expected, they won't let me off so easily! By the way, how's Jack?"

Just as Adam and Frank reached the rooftop, the Batplane landed.

Frank saw the Batplane and said, "Your plane is nice. By the way, where's Jack?"

He had barely finished speaking when Jack, now a young man, saw his father, jumped off the plane, and exclaimed, "Ah, Dad! We really found you!" He then ran towards Frank.

Frank stared in bewilderment at the familiar face before him, wondering why this young man was calling him "Dad." Then he realized the man was running towards him, seemingly trying to hug him. Frank gave a cold laugh and turned to shake him off, only to find himself already being embraced.

Jack smiled and said, "Dad, I miss you so much."

Frank asked coldly, "Shadowbringer, are you kidding me? You're not telling me this is Jack, are you?"

Adam said somewhat awkwardly, "Well, I told you before that I would prepare you mentally."
