Chapter 46 School Attack

Logan said, "The professor didn't come back, and it seems he's probably dead. The whole of America is now hunting down mutants. As for the people who attacked the school, they should be from the military. The leader seems to know me, but I don't remember him."

Adam sighed and said, "Where are you? We're on our way."

Logan refused, saying, "We're on our way to Boston, on our way to Iceman's house. I think Jean should know where we are. Don't come over yet. Get some rest and prepare for the next battle!"

After hearing this, Adam said, "Alright, you all better be careful!"

Logan said, "Okay, got it. I'll hang up now. I'm driving Scott's car; I think they should know how to contact us. See you tomorrow!" Then he hung up.

As soon as Adam hung up the phone, Phoenix and Storm asked in unison, "What did Logan say?"

Adam said with a heavy expression, "Logan said the school was attacked by the military and some students were taken away. They are on their way to Bing's house. Logan told us to rest and recuperate and go pick them up tomorrow."

Upon hearing this, Storm said, "How is that possible? The school's location is so secluded, how did they know?"

Phoenix said coldly, "It must have been Magneto who said it!"

Adam nodded and said, "That's right, that's what I think too. Don't forget that they have something that can control mutants. Although they can't completely control Magneto, they can still get some information from him."

Phoenix nodded and said, "That should be the case, and I think the professor has probably been captured by them as well."

After hearing this, Adam suddenly remembered something and asked, "I heard that Professor X has a brainwave enhancement machine?"

Storm nodded, somewhat puzzled, and said, "That's right, but why are you asking this?"

Kurt, who had been standing by listening to their conversation, said when he heard that they were going to rescue people, "I think I can definitely help you, so please take me with you."

After hearing this, Adam said, "Alright, everyone, let's rest here tonight and meet up with Logan tomorrow."

Phoenix and Storm nodded in agreement. After all, there were only a few of them, and rushing things wouldn't get them anything done. They could only conserve their energy for tomorrow's battle.

Seeing that Phoenix and the others were getting ready to rest, Adam came out of the church and called S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Phil Coulson.
