Adam carefully examined the seawater and found the passage Logan had mentioned. After entering the password Logan gave him, he placed his palm on the palm print reader. Professor X knew about this and had already entered some of Adam's data into their supercomputer.

With a soft "plop," a pipe opening large enough for one person to enter was revealed below. Adam swam in and, after passing through several security identification systems, smoothly reached the end of the pipe and entered a small room.

Adam arrived at the small room and waited for a while. Soon the water in the room was drained, and a door appeared on one side of the room. Before Adam could even step out, the door was opened from the outside.

"Hey, Adam, you're back?" Logan walked in, his face pale, but with a hint of joy in his eyes.

"What's wrong with you?" Adam asked, frowning. "What happened?"

"Well, it's a long story. Let's go outside and talk about it." Logan sighed and said, "I'm facing an unprecedented crisis right now, and we don't know what to do. Luckily, you're back."

“I’ve been back for a while now, and I’ve been looking for you for a long time without finding you,” Adam said, following Logan as he asked, “What’s wrong with your body?”

“We’ve been completely isolated. Mutants all over the world are either dead or captured. This might be the last place where mutants survive.” Logan led Adam a short distance, then opened a door and went inside, saying.

"Who did this?" Adam asked, frowning.

"Who else could it be? Almost every national government is carrying out a purge. Well, the professor will tell you the rest later," Logan said, seemingly unwilling to continue the topic.

Adam's doubts deepened. It seemed that all the sovereign nations on Earth were united against all the superhumans. What gave them such confidence to completely eliminate or control these superhumans? Weren't they afraid of pushing these superhumans to the brink of war?

All of this is what Adam wants to know right now; perhaps he can learn some things after meeting Professor X.

==============Avengers Divider==========

Because of Zemo's plan and the covert support of various governments, the Avengers are now in a very critical situation. Bucky escaped during the chaos, and because Captain America and Falcon went after Bucky and Zemo, everyone thought that Captain America had rescued Bucky. Meanwhile, the White House put pressure on Tony Stark to arrest Bucky, Captain America, and others immediately.

“Give me a week, and I’ll bring Captain America and the others back. There must be some misunderstanding here.” Tony was making a last-ditch effort. Of course, he still didn’t want to believe that Captain America would rescue Bucky, but the facts seemed to suggest that, which put him in a very difficult position.

“I can’t give you that much time, Tony, and you were there today, yet they still managed to escape.” Rick’s voice came through the phone. “General Ross is ready. If they take action, it certainly won’t take a week.”

“I’m not going to chase after him in a suit tomorrow, Mr. Secretary.” Tony’s voice was also very firm. “Besides, you don’t want your men to get hurt, do you?”

“Okay, I’ll give you three days,” Rick said before hanging up the phone.

Upon hearing this, Tony was so angry that he almost threw the phone away. Three days! Only three days! Could he possibly catch up with Captain America, Bucky, and Falcon with so few remaining people? This was a real challenge. Of course, if these people were all enemies, Tony wouldn't be so conflicted. But Captain America and Falcon were his former teammates and friends he respected. How could he possibly want to hurt them?

“This is going to be difficult,” Black Widow sighed. “If the goal is an arrest, there’s no way we can accomplish the mission with just a few of us.”

"Where is the doctor?" Tony asked.

"Uh, do you think Dr. Bruce Banner would be willing to help us?" Black Widow said, pursing her lips.

"Okay, I knew this would happen." Tony scratched his head, a little annoyed, and said, "Looks like we need to find some backup."

Tony squinted, thinking of someone—someone not on their or the government's list.

"You can find him?" Black Widow frowned and said, "If you hadn't fallen out with your brother, perhaps you could try to find him."

"Maybe I'm suited to living alone like this." Tony sighed, thinking about how he had fallen out with his brother and how Pepper had broken up with him over some things.

"Don't put more pressure on yourself, Tony," Black Widow said. "I think we can find someone to help. I'll go down and give it a try."

"It's settled then." Tony nodded slightly, then turned and left.

Meanwhile, in an abandoned factory, Captain America placed the unconscious Bucky aside and used a machine to firmly secure Bucky's metal arm, then sat down to wait for him to wake up. To prevent Bucky from escaping, Captain America grabbed the helicopter Bucky was about to fly away. The helicopter lost its balance and destroyed the helipad, causing both Captain America and Bucky to fall into the river below. After falling into the river, Bucky was hit on the head by something and lost consciousness. Captain America then pulled him out of the river, just as Bucky had pulled him out of the river when he was unconscious.

A groan alerted Captain America that Bucky was about to wake up. He went over and saw Bucky looking confused, and asked him some secrets that only the two of them knew.

After listening, Bucky answered Captain America's question, and then asked, "Was I out of my mind before?"

"What exactly happened, Bucky?" Captain America asked after hearing this.

“It was that doctor. He seemed to know about the Hydra implants in my brain, the code they used to control me. He revealed it,” Bucky explained.

"Who is he?" Captain America asked.

“I don’t know, he didn’t tell me any of that,” Bucky said, shaking his head.

"So, what did he say?" Captain America continued to ask.

After listening for a while, Bucky said, "He wants to know about Siberia. I was imprisoned there, and he wants to know the exact location."

"Why would he know about that place? What's there?" Captain America asked.

“Steve, I’m not the only Winter Soldier.” Bucky slowly uttered the words that shocked Captain America: “There are five more people there.”

"Five more people? Who are they?" Captain America asked, increasingly sensing the urgency of the situation.

“They were members of an elite special forces unit. They did a lot of things for Hydra back then; they were a bunch of real devils.” Bucky’s eyes held a strange fear as he said, “We have to stop him, Steve. Those guys are the best of the best, capable of carrying out all the assassinations, disguises, and sabotage single-handedly. If they're hiding among the people, we'll have no way of finding them.”

Chapter 399 Split Five

Falcon returned with some food and found Bucky already awake, while Captain America was deep in thought. (Fastest updates)

“What happened?” Falcon asked.

Captain America briefly repeated Bucky's words, then said with a serious expression, "This matter is a bit tricky; we need to go to Siberia."

“How about we explain this to Tony?” Falcon suggested, sensing the situation was getting complicated.

“No, he doesn’t trust us at all right now,” Captain America shook his head and said.

“Alright, then I need some help.” Falcon said, then seemed to remember something and smiled, “I happen to know someone like that.”

“Great, you contact him, I'll go find Sharon and try to get our equipment back.” Captain America smiled and said.

"Hmm, Miss Sharon, well, I hope you'll be back early tonight," Falcon joked.

"I just called him. We can't just walk out like this now," Captain America said irritably.

"If Hawkeye were here, that would be great," Falcon sighed.

“No need to trouble him. He finally got some rest. I can find some people to help.” Captain America seemed to remember something, touched his chest, and said.

"Alright, since you've said so." Falcon shrugged, then turned and walked out. Now that he knew the situation was urgent, he had no choice but to act quickly.

After Falcon left, Captain America pulled Bucky's arm out of the machine and let him rest for a while. He then ran to a secluded corner, took out a palm-sized box from his pocket, and pressed the button on it.

Immediately, Captain America saw the space in front of him distort, and a fist-sized, pitch-black hole appeared. Fortunately, the hole seemed to be fixed by some kind of energy. Although it looked terrifying, no danger occurred.

Just then, a deep voice came from the box in Captain America's hand: "Hello, Captain, it seems you need our help?"

“Um, yes, I do need your help. I’ve run into some trouble in this world, and there’s been some disagreement within our group,” Captain America said.

"Sorry, we won't get involved in your internal affairs. I made that very clear in the message. It seems you misunderstood." The voice sounded somewhat disappointed.

"No, you misunderstood. I'm not asking you to help solve our internal problems. Rather, our world has encountered a problem. Well, five enhanced super agents are about to be awakened from their icy state. If time allowed, I could actually handle the internal issues first and then deal with this. However, these are the elite of the elite agents, and they'll be extremely difficult to find if they're scattered, because they're all people without any records," Captain America explained immediately.

"Oh, why don't you ask Superman for help?" the other person asked, seemingly surprised.

"For some reason, we've lost contact with Superman," Captain America sighed. "He didn't stay on Earth after he came back."

"Okay, I'll send people over, but remember, they won't help you with anything else," the voice inside reminded Captain America.

"Don't worry, I don't need them to do anything. They just need to help stop a few people. We'll handle the rest," Captain America said with a confident smile.

"Alright, I'll send two people over. Goodbye, Captain." The black hole vanished as soon as the words were spoken.

"Hmph, I hope everything goes well. Sigh, if only Tony would believe us." Captain America sighed softly, muttering to himself.

He knew that Scovia's situation had dealt Tony a heavy blow. He had created a tool for peace, but it was being used to destroy the world. This was similar to what he had experienced when he became Iron Man, but the latter situation was much more serious. If he was not careful, Ultron might really destroy the entire world.

At that time, almost all of the most powerful people on Earth had disappeared. Adam had gone to other universes, Christine had been taken away by her mother, and Logan and Phoenix had also disappeared for some unknown reason. It was the most critical moment. Fortunately, they had the Hulk and Thor to help them, otherwise, who knows what would have happened.

However, despite his understanding, Captain America still disapproved of some of Tony's actions, especially those that, under the guise of "for your own good," involved harming his friends. Wanda was so young, yet Tony had locked her up in his villa. Although Vision was with her, wasn't Vision monitoring Wanda? Therefore, Captain America, who had originally intended to sign the agreement, ultimately chose to refuse firmly.

When he learned the truth, he did think about explaining to Tony, but he knew Tony's personality. He knew that if he called Tony, Tony would pretend to listen to his explanation while finding his location and finally appearing in front of him when he let his guard down. In the end, Tony was extremely confident in his own judgment, and it was really difficult to become friends with him.

As for Superman, he didn't deceive the person on the other side of the black hole, because he had indeed contacted them—well, he had contacted them before this happened. He hoped that Adam could have a proper talk with Tony, but he couldn't reach him after several phone calls. Even when he asked Friday to search, he couldn't contact Superman or Athena. This means that Adam and Athena didn't return to Earth. As for the others, it's very likely that their signals were cut off by the US government.

You might find it strange that they can't contact Adam, but Athena and Adam can communicate without any obstacles. Don't forget that there is also a clone of Athena on Adam's uniform, and with this clone, Athena can definitely contact Adam.

"Steve, where are you? I'm back." Falcon's voice startled Captain America from his reverie, and he stepped out from the shadows to Falcon's side.

"How is it?" he asked.

“Okay, he’ll be here tonight and we’ll meet up tomorrow,” Falcon said with a smile.

"Yes, I've found two helpers on my side, they'll be here tomorrow," Captain America said with a smile.

"You actually found two people?" Falcon asked curiously. "Who were they?"

Unfortunately, Captain America himself didn't know who it was, so he could only say that he would find out tomorrow and then fell silent.

"So, what about their strength? How strong are they?" Falcon asked. "You know, if we plan to take action tomorrow, Tony and his men will definitely come to stop us."

"Their strength is all acceptable, otherwise I wouldn't have called them." He was confident in the strength of the people who came, because based on his judgment, the other party was a very cautious person and would not send some weaklings.

“Okay, here we are, one, two, three, five people. As for Tony’s side, hey, Vision and Wanda are both troublesome people, and besides, they have more people than us.” Falcon did a quick calculation and realized that his manpower was actually somewhat inferior to the other group.

“We’re not here to fight.” Captain America shook his head and said, “Try to avoid fighting. If we can’t avoid it, then we’ll stop them and let Bucky and me get through.”

"By the way, how do we get to Siberia?" Falcon asked.

“Sharon has agreed to arrange a Quinjet for us, and she’ll tell us the location tomorrow,” Captain America said with a slight smile.

"Really? Okay, we have the tools, but we still have some issues with manpower. We need to bring Wanda to our side. Wait for me, I'll be right back." After Falcon finished speaking, he turned and left.

When Captain America saw this, he could only sigh. He knew that one of Wanda and Vision had to be on their side. Vision was out of the question, given his connection to Jarvis and his unquestioning obedience to Tony. Therefore, he had no choice but to bring Wanda on.

Chapter 400 Division Six

Inside the underground fortress on X-Academy Island, Adam was led by Logan into a large hall. Every student and teacher from the academy was present, but their expressions suggested they had all suffered a blow; a nameless fear gripped their hearts.

"What's going on?" Adam asked in surprise.

“Sigh, they’re just scared.” Logan shook his head, then called out to all the students and some of the teachers, “Hey, everyone look up, the man is back, he’s here to save you.”

Some of the students, who had been sitting numbly in the hall, subconsciously looked up when they heard Logan's words. Then, seeing that he was really there, they were overjoyed and wanted to shout out, but they seemed afraid of something and covered their mouths. However, a glimmer of hope could be seen in their moist eyes.

After finishing his work, Logan said, "Don't worry, everyone. I'll take some men to see the professor, and then we'll devise a counterattack plan to avenge our friends, classmates, and teachers!"

"Revenge!" "Yes, we must get revenge."

"Yes, Mr. Stephen, he wouldn't have died if it weren't for me."

"It's all those guys' fault! We must fight back! We have men, we have nothing to be afraid of!"

The group of people, who had been numb, had their fighting spirit rekindled by the topic of Logan's return, and of course, their spirit of revenge!

Adam was shocked by all of this. What had happened to turn these students into this? But he knew that Logan didn't want to say more at the moment. Everything would only be revealed after he met Professor X.
