"Public application?" Dr. Pym asked doubtfully, "You really don't want to use Pym Particles to create mass-produced Ant-Man warriors?"

“Perhaps your disciple is doing that, but believe me, I’m not interested in these things,” Adam said, shaking his head.

"It's hard to believe. I know that you provide the most powerful weapons in the world. You could say that you have changed the world all by yourself. The tranquilizer guns used by the police, the energy weapons used by the military, and so on. All of this seems to indicate that you are nothing more than a weapons dealer," Dr. Pym said coldly.

"I admit that I have provided the most advanced weapon systems to various countries, but those are only weapons for Earth to defend itself." Adam swirled the wine in his glass and said calmly, "Do you know, Dr. Pym, that because of Earthlings' arrogance, Earth has already been discovered by aliens?"

“I’ve heard that you fought a battle in New York City.” Dr. Pym snorted and said, “But since you all enjoy the honor that comes with the title of Class A hero, you should live up to it.”

"Is that so? I have no obligation, nor do I need any so-called honor. If it weren't for the people I love, the people I care about, and my friends living on this planet, I wouldn't care if Earth were destroyed. I could simply find another habitable planet to continue my life. The universe is vast; there's always a place I can live." Adam, somewhat annoyed by Dr. Pym's words, said, "I became a superhero to help others, not to become a moral lackey. Doctor, you've gone too far. If you were truly so concerned with justice, you wouldn't have rejected some of the suggestions from S.H.I.E.L.D. and my father."

"Oh, really?" Dr. Pym, not one to hold back, looked at Adam and said, "It seems no one has asked you to be a superhero."

Christine, who was standing nearby, was speechless when she saw this. She immediately pulled Adam back and said, "Okay, this is a public place, and other people are watching. Don't get agitated."

“Give your girlfriend some face,” Dr. Pym scoffed.

"Oh, I should thank you," Adam said sarcastically. "No wonder you were kicked out of the company by your own disciple, and even your own daughter wouldn't help you."

"Hmph, it's better than being high and mighty like you," Dr. Pym said, scoffing.

“We won’t bother you any longer, Doctor, but I hope you’ll seriously consider the suggestion Adam just made.” Christine stopped Adam from speaking, quickly said something to Dr. Pym, and then pulled Adam away.

Upon seeing this, Dr. Pym snorted and said, "The arrogant scoundrel also left with an angry look on his face."

Not far from them, Darren Coros saw Dr. Pym and Adam arguing. With a smile, he put down a listening device that looked like a listening device in his hand, then calmly greeted the others and walked over to Adam and Christine, who were standing on the other side.

“Hi, Mr. Adam, I’m so sorry, I mean, I just saw that my teacher and you seemed to have an argument,” Darren Koros said apologetically. “My teacher is a very nice person, but some of his concepts are outdated.”

“I’d heard about that old man’s temper, but I never expected to actually witness it today,” Adam scoffed. “It seems Mr. Cross made a very wise move back then.”

“That’s what the board members all say.” Darren Koros knew what Adam was referring to, so he smiled nonchalantly and said, “Although my teacher is very talented and accomplished in scientific research, he is somewhat lacking in managing a company and its development.”

"Really? I think so too. It seems his temperament is simply not suited to be a businessman." Adam stroked his chin and said, "Oh, by the way, I heard that your company has completed a very important research project?"

Upon hearing this, Darren Coros smiled confidently and said, "That's right. Tomorrow I plan to invite Mr. Adam and other guests to Pym Technologies to explain in person a groundbreaking invention that we've been working on for the past few years."

"Oh, now that you mention it, I'm quite interested." Adam smiled slightly and said, "Then we'll head back first. Tomorrow I'll go back to your company to see what you call a groundbreaking innovation."

Darren Koros seemed very confident about this matter, a slight smile on his lips, and said, "I certainly won't let you down, Mr. Adam. I'll send someone to pick you up tomorrow."

“Okay, then we’ll have to excuse ourselves. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen the Los Angeles nightlife,” Adam said with a smile, linking arms with Christine.

"Well then, have a good time, Mr. Adam, Miss Christine." Darren Coros smiled slightly and said goodbye to Adam after achieving his goal.

Adam and Christine left the party. Adam hadn't lied to Darren Kross; he just wanted to stroll around Los Angeles at night with Christine and see a recently released movie, because he felt it had been a long time since they'd gone out together.

Because of Christine's magic, Adam and Christine were not recognized. They strolled aimlessly through the streets like any ordinary couple, carrying various snacks and ice cream, forgetting their identities and their scheming. The day ended in a simple yet heartwarming date.

Nothing happened that night. At ten o'clock the next morning, a representative from Pym Technologies came to pick up Adam and Christine. This representative happened to be Dr. Pym's daughter, Ms. Hope. Led by Ms. Hope, they arrived at Pym Technologies and saw a very funny scene as soon as they entered the door.

The guards nearby stopped Dr. Pym, who was about to enter, and asked him to verify his identity. This scene made Adam laugh, but he also felt sorry for the hot-tempered old man. He was actually turned away by the employees of the company he founded. It was really pathetic and pitiful. Well, he just had bad luck in meeting the wrong people.

Adam walked over to the security guard and said, "Heh, there's a picture of this gentleman right next to you, yet you want him to reveal his identity?"

After hearing this, the security guard glanced behind him and saw that it really was a photo of the old man, with a note below indicating that he was the founder of the company. Well, although it was a photo of him when he was young, it still made the security guard a little dazed.

"Excuse me, sir, I'm new here and I haven't seen you before." The security guard said apologetically, "Please come in, Mr. Pym."

Dr. Pym walked in without even looking, then said to Adam, "Are you laughing at me?"

"No, I just feel sorry for you," Adam said nonchalantly. "By the way, Mr. Darren Coros seems to be showcasing his research findings from the past few years today. What do you think it will be?"

"Who knows?" Dr. Pym said with a somewhat serious expression, "Someone I don't want to see has arrived. I must excuse myself."

Adam turned his head and saw Drencros walking over with a big smile, leading all the representatives from the major companies present and some people from the military to his laboratory.

"Hello everyone, I'm Darren Koros. Hmm, I've invited you all here today to show you a groundbreaking invention—the Wasp Suit!" Darren Koros announced loudly. 8

Chapter 346 Under the Wasp Suit

"The Wasp Suit?" Everyone visiting Pym Technology looked at Darren Kross with great confusion.

Darren Koros looked at everyone's eyes and smiled slightly, "That's right, it's the Hornet suit. Now let's take a look at some very valuable information."

As Darren Kross spoke, a scene from a black-and-white film appeared on the large screen in front of everyone—a battlefield scene. However, the scene only showed enemies, and as time passed, those enemies died there inexplicably. Finally, after being magnified several times, the appearance of a very small soldier could be seen.

"What is this? Are we supposed to watch a movie?" a middle-aged woman asked, frowning.

“Haha, Ms. Kross is joking. This isn’t a scene from a movie. It’s a real superhero who used advanced technology to shrink a soldier to the size of an ant and turn him into a super soldier,” Darren Kross explained.

"You mean, this is the legendary Ant-Man, the mysterious superhero who appeared after Captain America?" an elderly man suddenly asked.

“That’s right, it’s him, although the government and S.H.I.E.L.D. officials at the time denied the legend.” Darren Kroos smiled slightly and said, “But today we have the opportunity to witness the birth of a super soldier.”

At this moment, the screen stopped playing the old footage and instead showed an animation. It depicted warriors in yellow wasp suits being invincible on the battlefield. In the end, the countless wasp warriors swept across the entire earth like locusts and turned into the Pym Technology logo.

After seeing this, Adam glanced at the confident-looking Darren Kroos, sneered, and said to Christine beside him, "It seems that this Mr. Darren Kroos has quite the ambition."

"Sigh, I never thought that after inventing the device to shrink objects, their first thought would be its military application," Christine sighed.

“Because the arms trade is the fastest way to get rich.” Adam stroked his chin and said, “Actually, I’ve heard my father talk about Ant-Man. If I remember correctly, Dr. Pym should be that Ant-Man, and his wife was called Wasp back then.”

Christine was taken aback and said, "So he's also a superhero."

“Hmm, but I remember my father saying that he left S.H.I.E.L.D. because he disagreed with mass-producing Ant-Man.” Adam explained in a low voice, “I think he’s been showing up at various Pym Technologies parties yesterday and today because he’s afraid that Darren Kross will crack the Pym Particles.”

“Really?” Christine glanced at Darren Kroos and said, “So Darren Kroos ousted Dr. Pym from the board of directors in order to research the Pym Particles.”

“That should be correct.” Adam nodded slightly and said, “However, it seems he hasn’t succeeded yet.”

Just as Christine was about to ask why, she heard Darren Kroos invite everyone to see the Hornet suit. So everyone followed Darren Kroos and the other shareholders of Pym Technologies to a heavily guarded room. Darren Kroos first explained how strong the defenses of the room were, saying that not even an ant could get in, before opening the door with his palm print and going inside.

This is a room with reinforced glass on all four sides, and a circular glass panel is suspended in the middle. Inside this protective glass panel is a tiny yellow figure. When everyone looked closely, they realized that it was the Wasp suit from the Pym Technology promotional video.

Seeing that everyone's attention was on the yellow figure, Darren Koros smiled and said, "What you see before you now is our company's latest groundbreaking invention—the Wasp Suit."

Darren Kross glanced around at the people around him, finally fixing his gaze on Dr. Pym not far away, a strange smile appearing on his lips. At this moment, Dr. Pym was staring at the Wasp suit with a complicated expression, clearly never dreaming that his research into the shrinking function of Pym Particles had reached such a level.

"How do you feel seeing this?" Hope asked her father gently as she approached him.

“I don’t feel anything,” Dr. Pym said firmly. “Although he has now created the Wasp Suit, I know he hasn’t completely cracked my technology yet.”

“That’s right, all his experiments have failed so far, but no one else knows that.” Hope sneered when he heard his father’s arrogant words.

“No, someone already knows.” Dr. Pym glanced subtly at Adam, who was standing on the other side, after hearing his daughter’s words.

Hope was puzzled and asked, "Who?"

Just then, Adam stepped out of the crowd and asked Darren Coross something.

"So, all that Pym Technology has been doing in recent years is just making a piece of clothing?" Adam asked.

“No, Mr. Adam, we are already able to shrink objects, and I believe that it won’t be long before we can shrink living things.” Darren Koros wasn’t angry, and calmly admitted that he could only shrink inanimate objects to a certain size at present.

"Hmph, just as Mr. Adam said, it's just a piece of clothing. It seems we'll have to come back in a few years." A representative from the US military said to Darren Coros with a look of disdain, "It seems that it was a foolish decision for you to let Pym leave the company on your own."

“You can’t be so hasty in your words, Frank,” Darren Kross smiled and walked over, saying, “This isn’t just ordinary clothing; it’s a vessel. Aren’t you amazed?”

The military representative named Frank shook his head and said, "No, I'm not shocked. On the contrary, I feel terrified. Can you imagine the consequences if your technology falls into the hands of terrorists or our enemies?"

“We cannot deny a new invention just because it is dangerous, Frank,” Darren Coros said calmly.

“You seem to be downplaying the main issue,” Adam said, looking at Darren Kroos. “As this former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, Mr. Frank, said, how can you guarantee that your technology won’t fall into the hands of dangerous individuals?”

After hearing this, Darren Coros said, "I think we can discuss this in more detail later. Of course, if Mr. Adam is interested in investing, I am willing to tell you some details."

“I have no interest in weaponizing this technology,” Adam shook his head and said, “but in the end, it’s still a bit too early to talk about this.”

Darren Koros sighed after hearing this and said, "Alright, in that case, let's talk about it later."

Frank shrugged after hearing this and said, "I hope you can develop the technology to shrink living things as soon as possible. When that happens, you won't have to worry about funding." He then walked out first.

Upon hearing this, Darren Coros immediately followed. Clearly, he valued the military contract more than Adam Stark's investment. After all, he wouldn't want to go through the financing route unless absolutely necessary, as this was obviously sharing his profits with others.

"Alright, thank you all for visiting Pym Technologies' project today. We've prepared some food for you over there, please follow me," Hope said as she watched Darren Kross leave with the military representatives.

Upon hearing this, Adam approached Dr. Pym and said, "I really watched a good show today. Oh, and don't forget our agreement."

"Don't be sarcastic. I really didn't expect him to be able to do this." Dr. Pym stared at the Wasp suit with a complicated expression and said, "I will achieve it on schedule, don't worry."

"Alright, we'll wait for you. Oh, by the way, there seems to be something in your room. Be careful not to give yourself away." Adam smiled slightly and left with Christine.

Just then, Hope, who had seen everyone off, happened to see Adam talking to his father. He walked over and asked curiously, "What were you talking about? You seem to be plotting something?"

“Adam said he was very interested in the technology of shrinking objects and wanted to work with me,” Dr. Pym said.

"He's also interested in Pym particles? Didn't he say before that he wasn't interested in weaponizing Pym particles? And I remember you two seemed to have an argument yesterday," Hope asked, puzzled.

“Adam said he was interested not in the weaponization of Pym particles, but in some civilian applications of Pym particles. He sent me some information yesterday, and it seems feasible.” Dr. Pym stroked his beard and said, “As for what you saw yesterday, that was just something Adam made up because he discovered that Darren had placed a listening device next to me.”

"I see." Hope nodded slightly and said, "So, did you tell him those things?"

Dr. Pym shook his head and said, "That was my own fault, and I have to settle it myself. Besides, I already have someone in mind!"

Chapter 347 A Dream

Rain was falling from the sky, and the entire city seemed shrouded in darkness. Not a soul could be seen on the streets; this modern city was now enveloped in an eerie silence.

A deafening explosion shattered everything, with a mushroom cloud rising suddenly and buildings vaporizing and disappearing—all seemingly indicating that this was caused by humanity's most powerful weapon: a nuclear bomb.

Just then, a figure suddenly appeared in mid-air. He looked down at the city with a face full of despair. Even the radiation from the nuclear explosion did not make this man who suddenly appeared feel the slightest discomfort.

"Louis!!!" he roared in frustration, his voice filled with regret, anger, and a hint of self-reproach.

"Hahaha, man, you've finally arrived, but you're too late. You can't see the despair and pleading in these guys' eyes." A crazed voice entered the ears of the so-called man.

"It's you, Joker!"

Upon hearing about this person's business, the man was furious and immediately found the man who had spoken to him. The man, wearing a purple suit, an orange tie, and green hair, was standing on top of an abandoned building.

"I'm going to kill you!" The man instantly descended and punched the guy, blowing him to pieces. Well, this is not an exaggeration; the guy really was blown to pieces with one punch. However, the man's face did not show joy at this moment, but rather the anger of being tricked.

Because the green figure wasn't a real person, but a highly realistic robot, and the sounds they just heard seemed to be the result of the robot being remotely controlled.

"Hahahaha, are you quite disappointed, human?" The clown's voice continued from the robot, now only a head remaining. He went on to say, "Human, what does it feel like to kill your own wife and children? Human."

"Damn it, clown, I swear I will kill you with my own hands!" The man's voice had completely lost its previous anger, replaced by a calm that seemed to symbolize the calm before the storm.

"Is that so? Then come find me in Gotham City. I'll probably be arrested by Batman right now, in the Gotham City police station." The Joker's voice still came from the robot's head.

At that moment, after the robot's head finished playing its last sentence, it exploded instantly. The person was thrown back by the shockwave of the explosion and landed with a loud thud in the now-ruined city streets.

"Cough cough, wait for me, Joker." The man seemed to be in bad shape, apparently having been injured before, but he didn't care about that now. He only wanted to fly out of this city that had been attacked by nuclear bombs and head to the city that had become known as the City of Sin—Gotham City.
