Quicksilver smiled and jumped off the fighter jet with Captain America. Erica and Nite Owl followed suit, but they went to keep an eye on Loki. Captain America and Quicksilver joined the battle between Thor and Iron Man, which frustrated the two who were having a great time fighting, and they eventually had to stop fighting.

This greatly annoyed Quicksilver, who said, "I thought there was going to be a great battle."

Iron Man shrugged and said, "If you want to see my performance, you'd better be prepared to go bankrupt."

Captain America gripped his shield and said calmly, "Have you had enough? If you have, go back. We still need to find the Tesseract and their families."

"Alright, since the captain has said so, let's go back first." Tony saw that there was no way to fight anymore, and his armor was also damaged and needed some repairs, so he didn't refuse.

Thor glanced at Loki, who was still standing on the mountain, and knew that Loki must have some kind of conspiracy. Meanwhile, Tony helped the doctor write programs while having Jarvis hack into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s systems to see what S.H.I.E.L.D. was up to and why they were afraid to let his brother know.

Tony's methods and dry humor were somewhat displeasing to the highly disciplined Captain America. In addition, Tony's admission that he was hacking into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s computers angered Captain America. However, Dr. Banner told him that S.H.I.E.L.D. was not trustworthy, which made Captain America hesitate and decide to investigate the matter himself.

In this moment of mutual distrust, the gem at the top of Loki's staff suddenly began to release a strange magnetic field. This magnetic field became the fuse for infighting within the temporary team, and a fierce argument ensued. As a result, they were completely unaware that Hawkeye, controlled by Loki, was leading Daredevil, the Punisher, and some troops to directly infiltrate S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Helicarrier.

Caught off guard, the carrier was thrown into chaos. Two of its four massive engines were destroyed by the intruders, and the carrier began to fall.

Chapter 295 Chaos and Calls for Help

Chaos reigned over S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier. While commanders like Nick Fury and other top-tier heroes were struggling to keep up with Loki's staff, Hawkeye, along with the Punisher and others, infiltrated the Helicarrier, sabotaging its two main engines and causing it to lose its balance and begin to plummet.

Inside the laboratory where Tony and his team were, chaos had broken out because a missile had just struck their location. Fortunately, none of the people in the laboratory, except for Dr. Banner, were ordinary people. They reacted quickly enough that no one was injured. Only Dr. Banner and Black Widow fell to the floor below.

Captain America pulled Tony up and asked, "Hey, are you alright? I think you should put your armor on."

“I think you’re right this time.” Tony sighed and said, “You go deal with those guys, and I don’t need to worry about this.”

"Be careful." Captain America knew the situation was urgent, so he didn't hesitate and ran out immediately, because there were still a bunch of people waiting for him to deal with.

With a whoosh, Quicksilver appeared in front of Tony and asked, "What on earth happened? We're over 10,000 meters away."

"There's no time for explanations now." Tony's eyes lit up when he saw Quicksilver. "Can you get me to my armor?"

"Okay, Quicksilver is about to leave, passengers hold on tight!" Quicksilver laughed, grabbed Tony by the neck, and vanished in an instant. When he reappeared, he was already in the hangar where Tony stored his Iron Man armor.

“Oh, that’s pretty fast.” Tony suppressed the urge to vomit and turned to Quicksilver, saying, “But I still suggest you don’t become Quicksilver, because everyone has to go to the hospital after getting off the train, which is not worth it at all.”

"Then you can only blame your body for not being strong enough." Quicksilver curled his lip and said, "Alright, I'll go help now."

"Go, go, I have to make this guy stop right now, or we'll all die in a plane crash." After saying that, Tony walked to the Iron Man suit and, with the help of the mechanical arm, put on his suit, transforming from playboy Tony Stark into the superhero Iron Man.

“Captain America is waiting over there, he’s about to pull the trigger and let me out.” Tony watched as Adam flew to the base of the Helicarrier and braced it with both hands, slowing its descent until it finally came to a stop. He swallowed hard and said, “Okay, okay. I knew it would turn out like this.”

"Sir, the armor has suffered varying degrees of damage. If you continue to use it, you might be the next one to crash," Jarvis suddenly warned Tony.

“Okay, I’ll head back now. I have a big battle to participate in later,” Tony said immediately. Then he contacted Adam and said, “Brother, there’s a problem with the armor. I’ll go back and fix it.”

After hearing this, Adam said, "Alright, you can go back now. Christine just contacted me. The enemies inside the Helicarrier have been cleared out. I'll put the Helicarrier into the sea now, and then I'll come find you."

Tony breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing that the enemies had been eliminated, and said, "So Loki really has escaped?"

"They were already gone when we arrived. You should rest for a bit; the real battle is just beginning." Adam said to Tony as he slowly lowered the Helicarrier. "By the way, your Stark Tower might need some renovations. I bet Loki might open a portal on the top floor; that'll be the battlefield!"

Chapter 296 The Battle of New York (Part 1)

Tony was furious when he heard that his newly built Stark Tower might become the place where Loki opened the portal to another dimension. "Alright, now's not the time for this. Athena has sent a message: a portal has appeared in the sky above Manhattan, New York." Adam floated in from outside, looked at the two of them, and said, "Although they've made some arrangements over there, we can't waste time here. Tony, call your team over, let's go!"

Adam waved his hand to stop Tony from speaking, then said to Captain America, "Captain, since we've decided to launch an attack, let them gather here. The Sun Goddess knows a shortcut!"

"They have teleportation technology; I'll help you notify them."

Seeing Captain America's puzzled expression, Nick Fury realized that Captain America might not know about the Justice League's teleportation technology. He immediately spoke up and instructed the liaison to notify the other superheroes to assemble in the command center.

"I heard you calling me!" Quicksilver was the first to appear in the command room. When he saw Adam and Christine in the command room, he exclaimed, "Wow, Superman! It really is Superman! I've always heard people talk about you and I've always wanted to test my leg strength against you. I heard you beat Mr. Maxim?"

Adam smiled slightly and said, "I haven't competed with your teacher, but can you walk on the sea at your current speed?"

“Walking on the sea? Hmm, I’ve never tried that before,” Quicksilver said, stroking his chin. “It’s a challenge worth trying. I’ll find you as soon as I’m done!”

As they were talking, Black Widow and the others arrived at the command room. Erica, Black Widow, and Night Owl had already rescued their relatives or friends from the control of the evil god, so they entered the command room with a strong sense of resentment.

"What on earth happened? We were just about to set off to teach that damn evil god a lesson!" The hot-tempered Punisher stormed in, then paused when he saw Adam, saying, "So Superman is here too."

"It seems being controlled by someone is quite unpleasant." Adam smiled slightly, showing no emotional fluctuation even upon seeing Black Widow. Finally, seeing that everyone had gathered, he said, "Alright, it's time to set off. Loki and his army are waiting for us in New York City."

Erica put an arm around Daredevil and asked, "Can your teleportation technology teleport so many people at once?"

As soon as he finished speaking, Quicksilver found that the scenery around him had completely changed. He was just inside the steel warship, and the next moment he was in the bustling city of New York with blue skies, white clouds and skyscrapers. Of course, a huge hole had appeared in the sky above New York City, and countless alien armies were invading the earth from that hole.

Although the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, and others were already resisting and eliminating the aliens, the sheer number of troops Loki brought was overwhelming and utterly ineffective.

"The situation is not good, everyone, let's move out!" Adam said calmly, looking at the scene outside.

"Dude, I need to get a new suit of armor. The weapon system on this one is broken; it only has energy cannons and the like," Tony said immediately when he saw that he had arrived in Manhattan, New York City.

Adam glanced at Stark Tower and saw Loki, the god of mischief, standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling window in a room on the top floor, smiling broadly as if enjoying the spoils of his war.

"What's wrong?" Tony asked, frowning.

"You have guests." Adam smiled and hovered in mid-air. "You can form a team to intercept the aliens. Okay, they're Chitauri. I'll go take care of that guy. Sun Goddess, go see if you can close that spacetime portal!"

After giving his instructions, Adam left the rooftop with Tony and went to Stark Tower. He then winked at Tony, signaling him to come in, and slowly floated into Tony's lounge, standing in front of Loki.

"Wow, isn't this Superman?" After seeing such a powerful figure, Loki no longer felt the same fear towards Superman as before. Instead, he chuckled lightly, "What wind blew you, a god among men, here with me?"

“If I remember correctly, this should be my brother’s private property,” Adam asked casually.

"Oh, that's right, but after tonight everything on Earth will be mine. I'm just enjoying what I deserve ahead of time." Loki glanced at the staff in his hand, raised his head, and spoke with great confidence.

"Ha, I knew you were an arrogant fellow the last time I saw you," Adam sneered. "What gives you such audacity? That staff in your hand?"
