She seemed to be explaining something, but this only provoked the other person's anger.

"Liar!"

"This is a deception!"

The attackers had a clear division of labor, forming four small teams: front, back, left, and right. Within each team, some were responsible for attacking, while others were responsible for defending. They covered for each other, advancing layer by layer, occupying most of the Great Hall, and almost cornering the Ministry of Magic's side.

Even more terrifying, black-robed wizards continued to pour into the room, and the number of enemies seemed endless, which filled Maxwell with despair.

The last attack only involved five people; this time, is it likely ten times that number?

The French Ministry of Magic had been cautious enough, deploying twelve Aurors in two combat squads—enough to sweep through an entire black market. But this time, they suffered a crushing defeat, with seven falling in a single exchange.

There's only one reason: there are just too many people on the other side! Spells are coming from all directions, leaving no room to dodge.

Maxwell gritted his teeth and glanced at his comrades. Including himself, there were only three of them left; the remaining nine had already fallen into the hands of the enemy.

He could only pray that his department would discover the anomaly as soon as possible and send reinforcements.

……

Felix was a little confused. The attackers' goal was simple: Noel Celeste. Celeste seemed to know that their target was him, and even knew who they were.

Because she said to Maxwell across the two stone pillars, "Don't use any lethal spells!"

But the battlefield was beyond her control, and showing mercy in battle was not a good idea. A red light struck Maxwell, causing his body to stiffen, followed by seven or eight more red lights.

With a look of astonishment on his face, the spell threw him off balance, sending him crashing heavily into the pillar behind him.

"Maxwell!"

A young Auror's eyes turned red. He gritted his teeth and cast a black spell. Black mist condensed into a sharp dagger in mid-air, which pierced the chest of an attacker with unstoppable force, instantly spurting a large amount of blood from his chest.

"Besni!" came a sorrowful voice from the other side, and then their spells became more vicious.

Although the truth was still unclear, Felix felt he had to intervene before things became irreparable.

He raised his hand and unleashed a shattering spell, which struck the chandelier on the ceiling, shattering it along with half of the ceiling, sending dust and stones raining down.

The red light that filled the sky diminished considerably in an instant.

Felix's figure appeared abruptly in the center of the hall. He calmly and precisely waved his wand, and a series of stun spells flew out from the tip of the wand like flowing water. As the dust settled, seven or eight attackers fell to the ground.

"All curses end!"

Felix slammed his wand into the ground with a backhand motion, and a torrent of red light poured out. Centered on him, the attackers, Muggle experts, Aurors, and officials of the Magical Congress of the United States were sent flying like wheat, and the spells they were still chanting fell silent.

All eyes were on the figure that had suddenly appeared, watching him slowly stand up and raise his wand expressionlessly.

The auditorium was so quiet you could hear someone breathing; a full seven or eight seconds passed.

"Take him down!" a calm voice said from one of the attackers.

But the dozen or so spells only hit the black smoke he left behind. Then, everyone present saw a scene they would never forget: Felix's figure kept flashing, and each time he appeared, he flicked his hand and unleashed a dazzling red light.

At the most extreme moment, they saw seven Felixes' shadows at the same time.

The attacker squad that barely made it to the front of the auditorium was wiped out in a second or two, and the other three squads were also completely destroyed.

'Too weak. Although their formation is decent, their individual skills are terrible. Without the protection of the team, they don't even have the most basic self-defense awareness. It's like bullying children...'

Felix didn't feel any pleasure from casting the spell; on the contrary, his confusion only deepened. If he had to make a comparison, some of their spells weren't even as good as Percy Weasley's.

'The members are vastly different in strength, have no habit of using killing spells or dark magic, lack combat experience, and their spells are not very powerful...'

'Where did these attackers come from?'

Chapter 164 Releasing Water

Felix kept pondering the origins of the attackers.

He suddenly remembered the information from the dark wizard Aladdin: "It is said that the attackers were very arrogant. They warned the woman and left behind a bloodstained badge."

"What badge?"

"Iphamoni Magic School"

……

Was that badge really a warning? Or was it lost by accident?

At this moment, the attackers' four formations were scattered and broken, with only five or six people still able to get up. The front team was reduced to just one lucky little wizard.

But the short man didn't accept this luck at all; he would rather have passed out, because the devilish figure was less than two meters away from him, calmly watching him.

Felix walked slowly and steadily toward the short wizard in front of him, trying to alleviate the dizziness caused by the twenty or so Apparitions in succession. But to others, his steps seemed leisurely, and his gaze, though seemingly gentle, was like that of a dragon unleashed from its restraints, with ferocious spikes protruding from its body.

The air seemed to freeze. The surviving attackers struggling to their feet, the young Auror with a face full of grief and indignation, the Celeste trying to remain calm, and the man with a weathered face all seemed to have been put on pause.

The short man's eyes were filled with fear. He instinctively turned to run away, but was tripped by his unconscious companion. His forehead hit the gravel, and blood slowly seeped out.

When he got up from the ground, Felix was already standing in front of him.

"Let me see who you really are."

He reached out a hand and grabbed at the mask.

To the little wizard, the outstretched hand seemed to possess a magical power, rendering him completely immobile. He desperately told himself to run, but ultimately, he remained as still as a cold stone statue, his spirits plummeting. His lips trembled.

"don't want……"

"do not want!"

Two voices overlapped, the other surprisingly coming from Noel Celeste, whose grey eyes reflected a panic that shouldn't have been there.

But Felix didn't stop; he decisively removed his mask.

For a moment, Felix froze, his hand holding the mask hanging in mid-air.

He assumed the person behind the mask was a witch, not only because of her short stature but also because of her shrill voice, all of which led him to believe she was female.

But beneath the mask was the blood-stained face of an excessively young boy, no more than fifteen or sixteen years old, who might even look younger than Percy Weasley.

The short man stared blankly at him, whose expression suddenly became inscrutable and hard to fathom.

He mustered his courage, snatched the mask, and stumbled backward.

Felix stayed put and did not give chase.

"Dengdengdeng!"

A dozen or so black-robed wizards rushed into the hall, one of them shouting excitedly, "The person has been rescued! We can leave now! Has that old witch Celeste been caught?"

But the situation on the field was different from what he had expected. The newcomers were stunned. Their gazes fell on Felix, who had just put down his wand, and around him lay more than a dozen of his companions.

Less than a third of the people were awake, and some of them had just been awakened by magic, their faces showing a blank expression.

"Run!" the short wizard said in a hoarse voice.

"what?"

"Run!"

But the leading wizard didn't want to abandon these people, so he raised his wand, and the others chose to follow.

A dozen red beams of light shot towards Felix. These people were clearly elites, and their scorching incantations were like lasers, but they were all blocked in front of Felix, and a ring-shaped barrier appeared and disappeared.

Delicate lines of silver and gold intertwined continuously traced patterns in the air, and as the spell cast upon it grew stronger, its form became increasingly clear.

It was an enlarged half-body suit of armor, indistinct and flickering with magical flames.

The armor made of Ironclad Charms enveloped him completely, making him utterly immune to the attacks.

The black-robed wizards attacked in vain, but their spirits inevitably sank into despair.

“Leave here before I change my mind,” Felix said.

After a brief silence, the attackers

"He...he's trapped by his own magic! Quickly, take the unconscious person away!"

The leading wizard made up some random reasons, saying that whatever the reason, this powerful enemy seemed to have no intention of attacking.

The others realized what was happening and used levitation and polymorph spells to drag their unconscious companion away, quickly evacuating the dangerous place.

During that brief yet seemingly endless minute, no one spoke. Celeste, the weathered-faced wizard, the French Ministry of Magic Aurors, and even the Muggle research experts all remained unusually silent, tacitly acquiescing to Felix's actions.

Felix dispelled the spell and his gaze fell on the last few people, who ran while looking at him with searching eyes.

"Stop looking, let's go!" said a black-robed wizard.

The attackers quickly left, leaving behind a hotel in ruins.

……

The three or five Muggle experts on the field looked around blankly, as if they were having a strange and bizarre dream.

From a calm and uneventful meeting to an unexpected attack, and then to a powerful young man jumping out and ending the battle in less than thirty seconds, isn't this just a dream?

Felix approached Maxwell and carefully examined him. He was unconscious and his face was covered with a dense rash of small bumps.

"This... gentleman? Is he alright?" the young Auror asked cautiously.

“Nothing’s wrong. I was hit by too many stun spells, plus a curse.” Felix said somewhat speechlessly, as if the curse was mocking everyone present.

Celeste emerged, disheveled and covered in dust, accompanied by a weathered-looking wizard.

“You…” she hesitated, which was unusual for her.

"What exactly is the attacker's identity?" Felix asked bluntly, though he already had a guess.

“I don’t know, maybe it’s remnants of the Purge, or maybe Grindelwald’s admirers,” Celeste said.

“I think you’re fooling me, Ms. Celeste.” Felix stepped forward, the silver light in his eyes completely obscuring his original light blue pupils. “Look me in the eyes.”

Her expression froze, and images flashed through her mind.

"Secret intelligence indicates that minors have joined the Reformation Society, further fracturing our magical society because of those damned laws!"

“Cecil, we cannot back down. Taking one step back means taking ten or even a hundred steps back.”

“But wizards of Muggle origin are also part of us, and the laws we make are harming them! Since 1965, more and more people have felt cheated, Celeste, and this patience has reached its limit, which is why the Reformation was created—an organization that shames everyone. Our gentlemen in Congress are sitting on a powder keg, sipping their red wine with smug satisfaction.”

"...The parliamentary family will not support this."

"So you're trying to cover it up, Celeste? We're the Legislative Council; we're responsible for the laws governing the American wizarding world!"
