“Ilfamoni is a good place to train enough students. Perhaps, in two more years, or even one more year, the Dark Lord could train another generation of excellent Death Eaters. But now—there is no time.”
"I should have thought of that earlier. Bertha's appointment as principal and then president of the Magic Congress is certainly a symbol of honor, but it also proves that they really don't have many people available."
“There may still be plenty of thugs, but someone who can handle messy affairs,” William smiled, “will give him a real headache.”
"So, Professor William, what you mean is?"
Dumbledore looked at William, a smile appearing in his eyes.
"They can't handle small scams, but I'd like to see how they handle big ones."
William spread his hands. “Now, let’s pretend to be the Dark Lord. Since he doesn’t want to show himself, let’s blackmail several surrounding countries, launch a surprise attack, leave some Dark Lord marks, and then tell people that I, the Dark Lord, have returned and they should come and surrender. I’d like to see how their people will handle such a scam.”
Chapter 592 The Dark Lord's World-Shocking Return
"It's truly amazing to have this leg back..."
Moody stretched his legs, which had grown back thanks to the compound decoction, and spoke with a touch of emotion.
At this moment, the four of them were lying in ambush in an alley, and all of them except Dumbledore had drunk Polyjuice Potion.
Dumbledore won't act openly—he's currently playing the role of a firefighter to prevent his actions from making too much noise and being noticed.
William and his two companions were in charge of lying in wait for the former Purgers. The information was gathered the day before yesterday. The Purgers who were on good terms with each other would have a small get-together at the bar here after get off work—a routine relaxation activity they had followed since taking over leadership of the American wizarding world.
Just as William and Dumbledore said, after gaining control of the American wizarding world, the Dark Lord laid most of his power out in the open—this was unavoidable; without enough manpower, they couldn't control a wizarding world.
This doesn't pose a huge problem—after controlling Iphamoni, new followers will soon emerge, and it's not impossible for a few more figures like Little Barty to appear; it just takes time.
Unfortunately, none of those present intended to give them any time.
"Apparition has been disabled..."
Dumbledore moved his wand away from the wall, a hint of helplessness on his face.
"Okay, got it..."
William stood at the vent, opened the bottle of light blue potion, tapped it gently with his wand, and waved it lightly as the smoke rose. After the small bottle of potion had evaporated, he began to quietly anticipate the changes inside.
Hands-on?
What a joke—he's a professional apothecary, and all these people around him are there to ensure his safety. What's the point of spending so much time investigating and leaving behind a bunch of investigation traces if you're not going to use a magic potion?
Is the medicine really reliable?
Moody still seemed determined to take action, so William reluctantly spread his hands. "I haven't tested its maximum potency yet, but based on the current data, this stuff can theoretically be used to take down dragons—of course, not in the open air..."
"... "
Even Lupin's expression became complicated—partly because of the shady concoction developed by the chemist who saved lives, and partly because he was reminded of a certain frivolous divination professor…
"That's about enough," William calculated the time, "Activate the Bubble Charm and Ironclad Charm, get ready to go get them..."
Those involved in the purges already had intelligence. As I said before, when they decided to move from the shadows to the light, everything that had been hidden was suddenly exposed—you can't expect a group of thugs who rose to power through violence to endure the days of hiding and running after they've achieved everything.
When William and his companions stormed into the bar with the Bubble Head Charm, the entire bar fell silent as if time had stood still. The bartender did react slightly, but he only managed to put down his glass before being drugged. As for drawing his wand to fight back? What a joke! Did he think he was an Auror with professional drug resistance training?
"It's even a little bit better than I expected..."
William surveyed his surroundings, began identifying the registered Purge members, and, without pausing, pulled out his wand and scribbled on a relatively clean wall of the bar the slogan of Susan, the legendary resistance leader: "We will save ourselves."
The Purgers were quickly identified—eleven in total—who were bound together with bandages and then packed up. They were taken off their wands and led away by William and Lupin using a makeshift Portkey, while Moody stayed behind to clean up the scene. As for Dumbledore, he stood there calmly, waiting to deal with any unexpected situations.
-
"all the best."
When William and the others finally saw Moody arrive, Moody, sporting his changed face, spoke with genuine joy. He had spent his entire life dealing with dark wizards and had cleaned up their messes countless times, but this was the first time he felt so at ease—Dumbledore was watching over him; this kind of treatment was extremely rare.
"That's really nice."
A smile appeared on William's face. He hadn't expected everything to go so smoothly—those purgers were even worse than he had imagined.
"Once our Auror friends arrive, some things can proceed..."
He shook the potion bottle in his hand. A bottle of Truth Essence, which had been made less than two months ago, spun as he shook his fingers, clear as water.
"Only you can reveal your identity. Professor Lupin and I are not suitable, and Dumbledore is even less suitable. I'm counting on you from now on, Professor Moody."
William handed the medicine to Moody and stepped back.
Before long, three figures quietly emerged from the woods. Moody pointed his wand at them and relaxed after exchanging a few coded words.
“Making a door key is no small matter, especially since I have two Aurors from the government-in-exile with me… Senior Moody, please don’t lie to me.”
The new Auror seemed very energetic. He greeted Moody with a sly smile and then introduced the two people he brought with him—two former Aurors of the Magical Congress of the United States of America who had run away when the Congress changed its flag and were among the key individuals under its protection.
"It's alright, let them identify the people..."
Moody, now back to his previous appearance, was dressed somewhat ill-fittingly, but not in a comical way—the two Aurors had initially intended to exchange pleasantries, but upon noticing the face of the person on the ground, their eyes turned somewhat red.
"It's that bastard... I remember him... I've seen him before..."
His eyes were practically murderous—when the situation at the Magical Congress of America was in turmoil, it was these purgers hiding in the shadows who personally carried out the sneak attacks, and several of his close associates had died in the sneak attacks led by this man in front of him.
'That makes things easier...'
William nodded silently from behind – "You recognized me, so everything else falls into place very easily."
-
"Seriously, those guys are...terrifying..."
After the three Aurors who had signed an unbreakable oath swearing they would never reveal a single thing before Moody's permission left, Lupin was finally able to speak. He looked at the corpses on the ground, tortured and then magically killed, and couldn't help but sigh.
After they provided information by taking the Truth Potion, those people were taken to trial by the two Aurors at their own request. Unlike the British wizarding world, the American wizarding world has the death penalty. As former Aurors, they meticulously carried out the trial of those people.
"It's just the correct procedure... After all, it involves magicians from other countries, and it would be too much of a headache if trouble arose—"
William shook his head. A man who does not plan for the future will have trouble in the present. He was determined to kill the Dark Lord, but it was hard to say what the situation would be like in the American wizarding world afterward. He didn't want to get himself into trouble. Besides, it would also benefit Moody if those two Aurors killed those people. It was a win-win situation.
“What we need to do next will have to be crazy,” William said, looking at the purgers on the ground. “Professor Lupin, believe it or not, their death will make a greater contribution than they did while they were alive.”
Seeing Lupin's somewhat surprised look, William took out another bottle of potion, dripped a few drops on the faces of several people, and then immediately opened his pocket and took out another door key.
"Thank goodness for Dumbledore, otherwise I wouldn't dare to do this..."
He beckoned Moody and Lupin over, then led the pile of Purifier corpses straight to the key to the door.

Eddie is a young wizard who is interested in divination and astronomy.
Naturally, he never went to bed early, and tonight was no exception.
"Mars is exceptionally bright today..."
He glanced at the stars in the sky again, and then added a few more words to the star chart used for divination.
"What is that...?"
Just as he was about to reconfirm the brightness of Mars, a flash of green appeared in the distant sky.
He rubbed his eyes in disbelief. The shimmering green thing had exploded—a gigantic skull composed of countless emerald green star-like objects, with a large python emerging from its mouth like a tongue.
As Eddie watched, the skull rose higher and higher, emitting a dazzling light in a cloud of green smoke, standing out against the dark night sky like a new, nauseating constellation.
"Oh my god..."
He frantically groped for his wand, a look of anxiety on his face.
He knew about this damned symbol—he never imagined such a thing would fly in his own country's skies.
"Damn it, this is Canada, not the UK. Even if we're talking about the Commonwealth, it's way off..."
He frantically tried to stand up, but his legs wouldn't obey his brain. His initial thought of seeing what was happening quickly turned into self-preservation, and then into fear as he huddled in a corner, trembling...
-
"What the hell? Multiple Dark Magic Marks?"
The Canadian Minister of Magic, who had just gotten out of bed, looked flustered and somewhat annoyed—of course, the fear hidden in his eyes was impossible to hide.
As the Minister of Magic, who wasn't exactly a powerful figure, he didn't think his own people were any better than the British Aurors at handling this kind of situation—there was no Dumbledore here to save the day.
If he had a choice, he would rather lie in bed and know nothing.
No way, absolutely not—unless he wants to quit the very next day.
Therefore, he had to go to the scene to see what was happening and how to appease the public…
With countless plans swirling in his mind, he hurried to the Ministry of Magic and began reading those damned reports.
Five places?
He stared at the damned reports, his mouth agape. "Five places caught fire almost simultaneously, then the Dark Mark appeared, and by the time our emergency response wizards arrived, all they found were corpses?"
"Five murders in one night?"
"How am I supposed to explain this to the people? Even during the height of the Death Eaters' reign in Britain, there wasn't such a massacre. Did we... have some mysterious figure..."
He had just mentioned the name, then struggled to finish his sentence—the situation was unclear, and he shouldn't have said that.
"Let's go to the scene!"
He immediately gave the order—though reluctant, he had to go, otherwise tomorrow's newspaper...
"Which way, Minister?"
"From the side with the highest death toll, send three teams of Aurors over..."
"Yes, Minister..."
-
'Damn Death Eaters...what are you doing here?'
After using the Floo Net to reach the fireplace closest to the scene, he began to rush toward the scene while thinking about what to do next to save his job.
However, just as the others were passing through the fireplace, a sharp magical whistle rang out.
Then, swathes of pale green light swept across the night sky, attacking the enemy (a newly developed, almost harmless spell that emitted green light). An Auror desperately threw himself on his minister, and the Ironclad Charm lit up shortly afterward.
"We're doomed..."
The Canadian Minister of Magic had only one thought in his mind—it was all about calculation. The enemy had calculated that they couldn't use Apparition to travel because they couldn't pinpoint their location, making the Floo Network the best means of transportation. And this attack at the entrance was something the enemy was determined to succeed in.
