From Azkaban to Hogwarts.

Everyone has a list—aside from finding the families of the other people, it's the easiest way for the rest of the people to find Sirius.
Should we write to Hogwarts and ask Professor Minerva McGonagall for help?
Are you kidding me? You can't even imagine what hair is like on that person.
Besides, using Sirius Black's hair—that's sacred blood, it might have special effects! Those apothecaries' logic is flawed; we need to find some ordinary wizards…
In short, cultivating a relationship with the Black family over this matter is a good starting point. When it comes to favors, it's a matter of mutual obligation; if one owes the other, the relationship will naturally improve.
"My hair..."
Sirius opened the letter—and sure enough, it was another request for a favor.
'Now I understand why they told me not to rush... they knew this all along...'
Fortunately, all I need to do is cut my hair short…
He couldn't help but feel fortunate—it would have been too terrible if it had been uprooted.
'I can't very well refuse—besides, I actually owed a lot of favors when I got the school board position, and I have to repay them…'
"Sirius? What happened?"
Harry suddenly appeared and saw Sirius looking at a pile of letters with a bewildered expression, and he felt a little concerned.
"It's nothing, just some social events I couldn't refuse..."
Sirius sighed, sensing that his hairstyle would be permanently fixed at that extremely short cut from now on…
'I've played a lot of jokes on people, but this time someone played a really big joke on me…'
"Da da".
Just as Sirius was reflecting on this, there was a knock on the window.
"Another one..."
His face showed neither sadness nor joy, and his eyes seemed somewhat vacant.
"How are you, Sirius?"
Harry asked with some concern, "Why don't you let the professor take a look? He's very good at potions."
'Yeah...he's really good at it. He tricked me and I still have to thank him...'
His social connections, which had been absent for over a decade, suddenly returned, and he could even foresee that his life would be much more convenient afterward... but...
“Harry”.
"Ok?"
"Animagus is a lifesaver, so don't tell anyone unless you have to!"
???
Harry was puzzled, but he nodded heavily in agreement.
Chapter 580 Lupin's Little Plan
"What the hell—have these people gone mad?"
On the first day after the Easter holiday, William sat in his seat, looking at reports on the black market for wizarding magic in Britain, shaking his head as he read.
Because of Sirius's great cooperation, he specially presented Sirius with a big gift, but he did not expect things to go so far as to reach this point.
According to the data he gathered, the Ministry of Magic's Office for the Prevention of Misuse of Magic received over thirty applications in a single day to register themselves as Animagus—although most were attempts to deceive using potions or Transfiguration, three genuine Animagus individuals were identified…
Is this some kind of cabbage? So many of these have appeared out of nowhere.
The major trigger for this outrageous event was something even more outrageous—on the black market, a small clump of Animagus hair, mixed with hair from the transformed state and verified and approved by the Ministry of Magic, was being sold for seven Galleons…
The outrageous price almost made William consider getting a haircut and registering his own Animagus account... thankfully, he managed to restrain himself. Even so, as he straightened his clothes in front of the mirror, he could still feel his hair subtly shimmering with golden light.
On the black market, an extremely expensive amulet has become popular: a silver chain suspending an amulet filled with Animagus hair, supposedly effective against werewolf attacks…
The absurdity doesn't stop there—the oldest registered Animagus appeared, demonstrating his skillful Animagus techniques at the age of 89, and successfully cashed out a large sum of Galleons from the remaining hair on his balding head.
Another Animagus encountered a shady dealer when selling his hair—the dealer did buy it at the original price, but during the collection process, he used magic scissors to remove all the hair from the person who provided it. Although he was paid in full, the Animagus reportedly became withdrawn and isolated.
In addition, William received a letter from an Animagus who earnestly expressed his willingness to fully cooperate with William's experiments to test whether lizard blood had the same effect... but William politely declined, saying it would be too easy to endanger his life.
"It's about the same on my end, Professor William..."
Lupin gave a wry smile. As a well-known werewolf, and whose friendship with Sirius Black had been widely publicized, Lupin received a large number of letters from his fellow werewolves.
Some inquired about his experience with the medicine, some asked if they could buy some finished potions from him, and others begged him to give them some hair—of course, most of the letters praised him for his great contributions to the werewolf community and for his selfless spirit in testing the medicine.
Everyone knows that the most dangerous test subjects are definitely the first batch—Lupin is Sirius's friend and Professor William's colleague, so who else could it be but him?
“I’ve already sent out hundreds of letters in response to the public opinion, and I’m also preparing to issue a public announcement…” Lupin frowned. “But the praise is easy to handle, but what about the inquiries and pleas…”
If he were an Animagus, Lupin would gladly teach every day with a shaved head to provide enough hair for impoverished families and children, but he isn't—he can't very well use Sirius's hair to do himself a favor…
"I do have a slight way to deal with that..."
William grinned slyly. "Don't forget, we also have a very excellent hair donor..."
“You mean—” Lupin’s eyes lit up; he had almost forgotten his former friend who hadn’t died.
“That’s right, the one in Azkaban, or rather the two of them, that Rita can also be put to good use.”
William casually put down the documents in his hand. "Although neither of them can provide the raw materials for the Animagus transformation, Sirius Black's transformed body has far more fur than hair..."
"The proportions of the Animagus hair from the alien form are still under research. We can conduct experiments at the next full moon. Even if we can't come up with a universal formula, I can still calculate the proportions of Sirius's transformed Animagus hair and the other two's hair. That should be enough for you to send."
"If all else fails, there's always Harry; his Animagus form actually has quite a lot of hair..."
William got carried away and started writing down the general process of the potion recipe on a piece of parchment. Moody, watching the parchment, felt that the fireplace in the office wasn't warm enough, which made him feel a chill.
If he remembered correctly, Sirius Black initially invited William to visit him there.
Well, not only did they lose their hair before the transformation, but now they're going to take all the hair they have after the transformation too.
Lupin didn't feel cold at all; his heart was warm—if he didn't mess with Sirius's hair, it wasn't entirely impossible...because both Sirius and Harry's Animagus had a habit of shedding a lot...
"But if we just send the hair out like that..."
He was still somewhat conflicted.
"Why send hair directly? We should send finished medicine!"
William looked at Lupin with a puzzled expression. "The potion is so cheap, and although it's a bit difficult to brew, the pressure isn't too great. You could just announce that it will only be donated to underage werewolves under the age of seventeen!"
“If we only support minors…” Lu Ping calculated, a hint of joy appearing on his face, “If we buy one less robe, no, one less robe a year—the money will be enough!”
???
William looked at Lupin with suspicion. "Professor Lupin, you're not planning to do something this important yourself, are you?"
"Ok?"
"You don't think Azkaban would let you in to collect hair so easily, do you?"
"Huh?" Lupin looked at William, then remembered this important thing—the usually shrewd Lupin, in his excitement, had completely forgotten that he couldn't even get his hands on those two's hairs...
"Such an important matter certainly shouldn't be led by you!"
William began to impart the secrets from his good friend Singed, “Could you handle this? Could you bear the responsibility? Of course not—you discovered the problem, reported it to Professor McGonagall, Professor McGonagall sought help from the Ministry of Magic, and only after Minister Fudge reviewed and gave special approval were we able to use the hair of prisoners in Azkaban to concoct the potion!”
"With Minister Fudge's approval, Hogwarts is responsible for brewing and providing the potions, which are then distributed free of charge to underage werewolves through the Ministry of Magic. This is the correct way to do it as a charitable project."
As for the adult version, William didn't mention it at all—he was responsible for Sirius's safety, and he was afraid that if Sirius took on too much responsibility, something like him being assassinated in the firm might happen. Given the current market hype, unless Dumbledore provides the hair, it's all uncertain who will come…
"So, in the end, the Ministry of Magic pays for it, we brew the potions, and then we distribute them?"
“It could also be the Potions Office, but that’s uncertain…” William spread his hands—if Fudge agreed to report this, Sirius would definitely suffer again.
No problem. If Sirius Black donates his hair a few more times, he might even be able to get a Merlin Class III badge.
"I need to talk to Bigfoot."
Lupin was slightly tempted, but decided to put the matter aside for now—Sirius was already worried about his hair, and he couldn't let him worry about his Animagus form's hair too.
-
“He agreed,” Lupin said with a strange look on his face when Sirius’s reply arrived, “and he thinks some of Harry’s Animagus hair could be donated…”
So when there is no danger, the father is the danger—even the godfather?
William was equally speechless, but he still began to guide Lupin in completing the report, preparing to send it to Professor McGonagall—with Professor McGonagall's methods, the school's funding might be even more abundant.
About half an hour later, the brief report was completed, and William and Lupin began to walk toward Professor McGonagall's office.
“Don’t worry, Professor Lupin, this is a sure thing,” William explained to Lupin, who was experiencing this roundabout process for the first time, while also figuring out how to fine-tune the formula of the potion to perfectly match the foreign hair.
'If all else fails, I'll donate some of mine... but the Animagus information absolutely cannot be exposed... whether it's mine or Harry's. Given the pure-blood nature of the wizarding world, if anything is leaked here, the Dark Lord will know almost immediately—it's a complete spiest spot, eh?'
He looked up in surprise and saw a figure wandering around outside Professor McGonagall's office.
'Damn it... I forgot everything...'
William suddenly remembered something he had completely forgotten.
If his memory serves him right, on the night of the full moon before the Easter holidays, he had promised Professor McGonagall to give Miss Hermione Granger her first steps in the Animagus initiation.
However, before the last full moon, Dumbledore was reported by his own brother, which caused Professor McGonagall to hand over the reins to Dumbledore and go on vacation. After causing a lot of chaos in the castle, that full moon passed by.
Then, on this full moon night, William, who had made an appointment with Mr. Belby long ago, became so engrossed in improving the wolfsbane potion that he completely forgot about guiding Animagus into the fold.
If he hadn't run into her in front of Professor McGonagall's office, he would have forgotten about the big plan he and Lupin had discussed.
Therefore, William was still a little guilty—but it wasn't a big problem.
"Granger, do you need to see Professor McGonagall?"
William asked questions as he knocked on Professor McGonagall's office door.
"Please come in."
Professor McGonagall's voice rang out—but her expression wasn't very happy.
'Why does that expression look so much like Sirius Black's—does anyone actually dare to ask Professor McGonagall for a hair?'
William grumbled inwardly, but dared not utter a word.
After briefly explaining the purpose of their visit, Professor McGonagall took the form Lupin handed her. "It should be ready in about a day or two. This is an excellent suggestion, Professor Lupin."
