From Azkaban to Hogwarts.

"It's okay, we can use magic to restore it after the Easter holidays. If it doesn't work these days, we can try wearing a wig..."
"that's all!"
Sirius nodded and happily made the decision. "I'll write to the Weasleys and ask them to look after Harry for a while longer."
-
"I wonder when Sirius will pick me up—do you want to go to Privet Drive?"
Inside the Burrow, Harry was talking to Ron about the game console in the living room. He had envied Dudley for having one back in the day, and now his family had one too, which was perfect since he had less homework this holiday…
"A game console?"
Ron hesitated for a moment, then immediately agreed—after all, his two older brothers had made a song about the box being opened yesterday, and he really couldn't stay at this house any longer…
This is also a major reason why Harry stayed in Ron's room and didn't go out.
"But didn't you say Professor Lupin was also there?"
Ron had been put in solitary confinement and learned some interesting curses, but he was still a little afraid of Lupin.
"Don't worry, we can play together in the living room!"
Harry spoke with great conviction, and then he heard the hooting of an owl.
"It's Sirius's owl!"
Harry pointed happily, "Looks like he'll be here this afternoon!"
A quarter of an hour later, there was a gentle knock on Ron's door. Harry tried to suppress his joy—he also loved the Burrow, but he couldn't wait to see Sirius.
“Harry, Ron,” Mrs. Weasley’s voice rang out, “may I come in?”
"Of course, Mother (Madam)!"
The door opened after the sound, and Mrs. Weasley looked at Harry and the others gently. "I just received a letter from Sirius. He told me that because some of the professors are on an interesting expedition, he asked me to look after you for a while."
"Wow, that's great, Harry!"
Ron excitedly pulled Harry along. Harry paused for a moment, then smiled – he also loved the Burrow. Although he didn't know what Sirius and the others had been up to lately, he was happy to be here!
However, a faint song drifted from outside the door, "...and then the box suddenly opened!"
'...'
Chapter 576 Many hands make light work; it's time to find people to gather firewood.
Sirius lay on the sofa, looking at the wig on the coffee table with a melancholy expression.
He even had Dobby cover the mirror now—there's no way anyone would be happy to see that they've lost more than half of their beautiful hair and can't cover it up with a wig.
Especially since Lupin was already happily using the wig.
'It would be so much better to cut it all off at once...that way I wouldn't have to worry about being called back to the lab...'
The basement lab was progressing quickly—at least it was taking a toll on his hair.
As the Easter holiday drew to a close, Sirius Black was filled with despair – he had promised to have a good time with Harry, but how did it suddenly turn into a holiday where he had to pull his hair every day?
"Moonface, how's Professor William and his team's experiment going?"
"I don't know, my potion-making skills are limited..." Lupin replied while covering Sirius's face with the wig box—Sirius was once universally acknowledged as the most handsome man, and if it weren't for his situation, things wouldn't have turned out this way...
Hopefully, we'll get the results soon...
He prayed silently to himself, yet inwardly he also mocked himself—it's not that easy...
-
"That's it! That's the perfect ratio!"
In the laboratory, William and Mr. Bellby stared intently at the reaction vessel—the effect of the reagent used for detection was clearly waning, having achieved the expected result.
"Indeed, your brilliant idea is correct, Professor William."
Even the Bubble Head Curse couldn't hide Mr. Belby's joy. "Yes, yes, that's it! The weakening of the curse after the Animagus's power is activated is obvious!"
“I didn’t expect that either,” William said, his voice trembling with barely suppressed excitement. “Indeed, moonlight and lightning were the key elements—”
The improvement of the potion was not as difficult as Lupin and his team had imagined—from the very beginning, they found the most crucial key to success: the power of the Animagus.
All the repeated experiments they had been doing these days were in search of a potion formula that would maximize the enhancement and exertion of that power. After referring to the environment he needed when he transformed into his Animagus, William adjusted the potion to be quite excellent after seven or eight failures.
"Unfortunately, the power is short-lived. Although it hasn't been tested yet, it still can't eradicate that damned werewolf curse; it can only suppress it for a short time..."
William sighed—as a novice apothecary, he was quite aware of the effects of potions.
But before Mr. Bellby could say anything, William laughed at himself, “I really was asking for too much—it can’t be solved all at once. We were lucky enough to have cleverly completed the improved version of the wolfsbane medicine.”
“Yes,” Mr. Belby laughed, “how could it have been so fast if the inhibitory effect of Animagus hadn’t been confirmed.”
"The rest of the work will be much easier. I have prepared the potions for safety testing, and the animal experiments should be completed during the upcoming holiday..." He smiled and spread his hands - potion testing does not require any observation period or anything like that. As long as the person is not dead at the time and no permanent damage to the dark magic has been caused, they can be brought back to life with a potion, which is quite convenient.
“I have the potion that causes werewolves to transform outside of a full moon, and the potion that causes animals to become infected, but…” Belby hesitated, “I can persuade the werewolves to participate in the experiments… but the potion still needs to be tested…”
He quickly convinced himself, but William waved his hand dismissively, "I've got it all arranged. I didn't expect it to be this fast, but I'm sure my dear friend has done a great job."
"Any plans?"
"Yes, and without any burden."
“That’s wonderful.” Belby laughed—he already knew what William was talking about.
"Yeah, I think so too. But for now, we'd better clean ourselves up, enjoy our food, and wait for the rest of the animals to arrive."
-
"Success?"
Sirius Black stared at William with his mouth agape. "It's only been a few days. You guys aren't making fake medicine, are you?"
If Belby himself hadn't been there, he definitely would have blurted it out.
“It’s a success. We’ve exchanged many letters about how to improve the potion, and recently we’ve made a breakthrough,” William said, cutting off a leg from the fat chicken for himself and another for Mr. Belby, not feeling that he was being unreasonable at all. “The preliminary work has been done well, and everything is progressing faster than we expected.”
"That's really... great."
Sirius said sincerely, he couldn't wait to use magic to restore his hairstyle.
“Yes, that’s right. Oh, right—” William reminded him as if remembering something, “Your hair can’t be used for any spells yet, Mr. Black!”
???
Why?
Sirius looked aggrieved, but couldn't express it.
"When can I start the drug trial?"
Lu Ping's expression was somewhat heavy, but his tone was resolute.
"Drug trials? The animal experiments haven't even been done yet, and even if they are, it won't be your turn, Remus."
William put down his knife and fork, his expression serious. "What you need to do now is eat well, sleep well, and stay in top condition—oh, and use magic to restore your hair and make it look more stylish."
???
Lupin looked somewhat surprised, while Sirius looked aggrieved—no, why?
"By the way, Mr. Blake, I'll leave the animals for the testing to you. You don't need too many; I'll give you a list."
William's face was full of smiles, and then he began to enjoy his food—he felt perfectly justified in bullying Sirius now, and he would receive two thanks later.
-
"Nurture me, urge me, all you ever do is rush me!"
Moody used his wand to remove the letter from the owl's leg, examined it with his magic eye, and began reading it without even opening it.
He scratched his hair in annoyance, destroyed the letter, and then looked at the Aurors behind him.
"You've become a full-fledged Auror, how come you're still acting like an intern!"
"I'm bringing you here to give you some experience, not to train interns!"
"Traces, posture, the location of the wand!"
"Still thinking about letting them infiltrate our headquarters? Cheer up! Train hard, this shame will be washed away with blood and sweat!"
After reprimanding the Aurors for their defensive lapses, he ordered everyone to set up camp and rest, and to prepare for security.
After inspecting the camp, he nodded in satisfaction, returned to his tent to reply to William, and left the Aurors behind.
"Wow... he's so... cool."
“Yes, that’s why people say Mr. Rufus Scrimgeour is still lacking something…”
"Shh!"
The other Auror quickly made a shushing gesture—Mr. Scrimgeour was the head of the Auror office, and even in the wilderness, discussing this topic was a bit too dangerous, although he himself thought so too.
A legendary Auror should naturally have the appearance of a legend: decisive in action, keen intuition, superb in magic, and covered with the scars of history.
"I need to learn more this time."
"Yes, I'm so envious of those students. Being Professor Moody's student must be so wonderful."
"By the way, what exactly is our mission this time?"
"Keep your voice down, do you want to be yelled at to death?"
After glancing to make sure no one was watching, the Auror who had spoken lowered his voice, "Fenrir Greyback."
"That werewolf?"
"Yes, the one who went to Azkaban... he's now the leader of a lot of werewolves... inciting riots and wanton revenge..."
"If they hold a grudge, then..."
Wizards bitten by werewolves will also turn into werewolves, even Aurors, which they can accept—but if they fail and their families are taken revenge by the werewolf, that would be terrible…
"Don't worry, he won't get into Azkaban..."
The Auror responded in a low voice, "We can all guarantee..."
"That would be... perfect."
