From Azkaban to Hogwarts.

Suddenly, Ron felt a strong nausea, something began to surge wildly up his throat, and the terrifying scene from his memory resurfaced.
then…
"Ah! Ron!"
"Ron!"
The two screams almost overlapped, and then Professor McGonagall, who hadn't gone far, immediately turned around and saw her student slumped on the ground.
-
"A magical creature has gained a deeper appreciation for you (reverence), and you have been granted a treasure chest."
William was interrupted by a sudden notification sound while he was describing interesting things at school to Old Tom. Ignoring the notification, William continued with his previous topic.
"That's about it. The stairs at Hogwarts never listen to reason. I think even second-year students know the way better than I do. Fortunately, the portraits are quite friendly to the professors, and they're always happy to help when I get lost."
“You’re like a newborn, little William.”
"Maybe so. Freshmen are starting a new life, and so am I—really, if I continued to stay in that awful place, I might just kill myself."
William took a big gulp of beer and then came to this conclusion.
"Alright, I know you're doing well, recognized by the school's teachers and students. Finish this drink and get out of here. What professor gets drunk on the weekend?"
Old Tom chuckled and cursed, then pulled back all the drinks William could reach from the bar.
"They're kicking people out like that?"
William smiled and finished his last sip. "Alright, it's really inappropriate for you to come back to school drunk on your first week in office. I'll come see you again next week. Goodbye."
William strode toward the fire, sprinkled some Floo powder, waved goodbye to old Tom, and gracefully slipped into the fire.
-
"Cough cough..."
Emerging from the fireplace again, William began to reflect on his actions—for example, how he should have covered his mouth and nose before climbing into the fireplace and not tried to look cool.
The fireplaces in Hogsmeade Village are so full of ash from long use that they're even worse than the Leaky Cauldron.
Most of the fireplaces at Hogwarts are not connected to the Floo Network, and the fires in the professors' rooms are one-way fires, allowing people to leave but not enter. Unless the headmaster allows it, no one can escape the control.
Unless William applies for a temporary route, he will have to detour through Hogsmeade to return home—but the application form needs Professor McGonagall's approval, which is incredibly troublesome.
"I was debating whether to order some snacks yesterday, but since I'm on my way today anyway, why don't I stop by Honey Duke?"
On his way back to Hogwarts, William thought of this question as he put a mint in his mouth.
So he took immediate action.
Before William reached his destination, he suddenly saw a familiar figure on the road—Adams and a group of students were discussing something, their smiles radiating joy that could be felt from a distance.
"Adams, what are you doing? Do you have to attend extra classes this weekend?"
William greeted him from afar.
"William! Come here quickly!"
Adams's voice was just as loud, and the students around him chattered incessantly, showing none of the restraint they displayed at school.
"What's going on? You're still giving extra lessons to students on the weekend?"
"It's not tutoring, it's a club activity. (Note)"
Adams looked completely at ease.
Club activities? This is Hogwarts, not a university, and certainly not a high school in Japan. What club activities are you talking about? Are you planning to start a light music club or a service club or something? The art style is completely mismatched!
"Clubs, that's normal—there's the Gobstone Club, the Wizards' Chess Club, Quidditch..."
"Wait a minute, Quidditch Club? Isn't that the school team?"
"No, that's not true. A house only takes seven people. There are so many wizards who like Quidditch, how could there only be a house team? Clubs are small, self-organized groups."
"I think I understand."
Although he didn't understand why there was such a light novel-like development, William nodded nonetheless.
“Good, I’m the advisor for this club. William, would you like to join? I sometimes need to take care of the greenhouse on weekends and don’t have time to come and guide the students.”
"I'd rather not offer guidance. I don't have that much knowledge about herbs, and I wouldn't be a good instructor and would mislead students."
William, quite self-aware, declined.
"It's alright. Our club is the Sweet Herbs Club. We mainly research how to use herbs in candy to achieve a unique kind of sweetness. There won't be any accidents. The main responsibility of the instructor is to grade the students' arguments, otherwise they will start arguing."
What kind of amazing organization is this?
William, who had been inseparable from sugar ever since leaving Azkaban, surrendered without hesitation.
Note: In Part 5, Umbridge issues Education Order No. 24 – the main meaning of which is that no student organization, association, team, or club may exist without the approval of a senior investigator.
The existence of the Gaobushi Club was confirmed by the same source.
Chapter 83 Repairing the Bridge Requires Carving a Stele
“It is an honor that the Duke of Honey allows our club to hold club activities in the kitchen on weekends.”
Adams introduced the Honeyduke to William at the entrance.
William wasn't sure how Adams had managed to get the other party to agree beforehand, but in any case, it took no more than ten minutes for them to arrive inside Honey Duke.
Anyway, not all the students were first-timers. William saw two seventh-grade students expertly leading the others to change clothes and wash their hands—judging from the cabinet where chef's uniforms were taken out, those clothes were clearly prepared specifically for the students.
"What are we going to do, Adams?"
Watching the students begin waving their wands in an orderly fashion, William couldn't help but ask Adams, who stood calmly to the side.
"We don't have to do anything. The seventh graders will guide them to try making all kinds of candies. The herbs are pre-selected non-toxic products. We just need to patiently wait for the results, score them, and recommend the best ones to the shop manager."
"recommend?"
“That’s right, the best recipe will be bought by the owner of Honeydukes for a sum of Galleons, and the student who invented the candy will also have priority to intern at Honeydukes in seventh year—they have many chain stores—hey, Watt, don’t try to control the syrup with your wand empty-handed, the syrup is very hot!”
As Adams explained to William, he also reminded the students next to him not to violate any rules.
The young man named Watt awkwardly put on his gloves, and Adams then turned to William and began to give him instructions.
"You should also get involved in some clubs related to dark magic—cough, duels or wizard self-defense, or you could even start one yourself. That way, when your favorite students reach seventh grade, they can look for internships under the club's name. Although they have transcripts to refer to, many industries prefer candidates recommended by professors."
William had to admit that there was so much to learn about clubs—compared to the clubs he had joined before, the clubs here seemed to be more practical.
Of course, this is also related to the endorsement of the Hogwarts professors. A school that monopolizes education across the country has professors whose prestige is indeed terrifyingly high—of course, this doesn't include people like him who were forcibly brought in to make up the numbers because of a curse.
"I might not be able to teach for a full year, so I'd better not think about it."
William turned the flag upside down.
"Sigh..." Adams sighed softly, but quickly masked his emotion. "Have confidence in yourself, William. There are two professors this year, who knows—"
He swallowed his words halfway through—William was a friend he could talk to, and Professor Lockhart was his idol; he was unwilling to accept anything happening to either of them.
Fortunately, one of the students had finished his work the fastest and brought the finished sugar cubes up on a small plate, which eased the awkward situation.
-
When William left Honeydukes, he was carrying bags full of student work and snacks, making him look much larger.
Although William was quite happy to continue spending time with Adams, happily judging student products, unlike Adams, he had other things to do in the evenings.
The Weasley twins' confinement had to be done at night; otherwise, given Professor McGonagall's demands, the two children wouldn't get a free holiday before Christmas. This wasn't just about giving them free time; it was also a form of confinement that tormented William.
'Fortunately, I can still read. Making them copy doesn't affect my reading of the books—I just have to be careful, those two troublemakers might sneak peeks at some forbidden books that aren't suitable for them.'
As he passed through the foyer, William prepared himself in advance.
But Professor McGonagall suddenly appeared, elusive like a cat emerging from the shadows.
However, this time Professor McGonagall's expression was not one of embarrassment, but rather one of distress and helplessness.
"Professor William, have you prepared the book for the Weasley brothers to copy?"
"It's all ready. I plan to have them copy part of the school history, including records of important awards and punishments over the years. I've already asked Mrs. Pince, and the school doesn't have a complete set of records. Professor Pince has also expressed his willingness to correct the copied manuscripts. After the book is compiled, Mrs. Pince has also expressed her willingness to include it in the school library. Professor Pince will be the editor-in-chief, and the Weasley brothers can have their names recorded in the book, which would be an honor."
William explained his plan: since Professor McGonagall had asked him to increase the workload, he decided to involve Professor Binns in the project.
Although the bulk of the work certainly won't be left to the two brothers, just a small portion of the workload would be enough to make the two students completely confused while copying.
It's important to know that Hogwarts has been established for nearly a thousand years. Anyone who has read a little history knows how grueling it is to compile a history of a thousand years of school history. However, Professor Binns never died from overwork, which allowed William to place the main focus on Professor Binns without any moral pressure.
"School history?"
“Yes, Professor McGonagall. Mr. Filch has enough records to support the school history, and the school library can provide most of the references. Although compiling the school history is a huge task, we can handle it in batches. The students also have enough time to be confined.”
“Professor William, that’s a job that might not be completed even in ten years.”
"It's alright, Professor McGonagall and Professor Binns are capable of handling it. As long as the editor-in-chief can keep a close eye on it, changing students won't affect the reliability of the school's history."
If Professor Binns were willing, the school history could be compiled for a hundred years, and the names of the students who participated in the compilation could fill a book—but that would be an honor.
Professor McGonagall thought for a moment, then pondered and said:
"A very visionary measure. This suggestion regarding school history is the best I've heard in recent years. I think for a long time to come, we won't have to worry about inappropriate punishments for students."
"However, the matter of school history is of great importance, so I need to discuss it with Dumbledore first—but I don't think he'll have any objections. If everything goes smoothly, the board of trustees will approve the proposal soon, and the relevant funding will be allocated quickly."
Related expenses?
William was taken aback—the editor of 007 was there, all the materials were at the school, and the person who copied them was a student in solitary confinement. Why would they need related funding?
Also, how did this get involved with the school board?
Fortunately, William had studied a lot to pass the exam, and with the books he had read before, he quickly came up with a somewhat reliable answer.
It seems that a monument is erected when a bridge is built?
Chapter 84 One hand holds a pie, the other...
One, two, three… Three red-haired children appeared in William’s office.
Two of the children looked exactly alike, which gave William an irresistible urge to play a game of spot the difference.
"Hey, another one? Ron, what are you doing here in solitary confinement too?"
