From Azkaban to Hogwarts.

"Large-scale courses...what are those?"
In the Gryffindor common room, the students standing in front of the sign were making a racket like sparrows.
"Wednesday was completely booked; it looked like there was some grand ceremony going on..."
"Hey Fred, George, didn't you two get any inside information?"
The sharp-eyed students spotted the two most well-informed students in Gryffindor asking questions loudly from a distance.
"What inside information?"
Fred yawned and, along with George who had dark circles under his eyes, squeezed through the crowd to the notice board—a small experiment they had recently conducted in their spare time had led to some minor but serious consequences, and now it would be easier for everyone to recognize who was George and who was Fred.
"You don't know?"
"How were we supposed to know... we were so exhausted from staying up all night that we were practically collapsing on the floor to sleep..."
As George spoke, he looked at the bulletin board with his eyes, which were still a little sore from being hit.
"A large event, and the class schedule has been adjusted. Are the two professors planning to teach together? Who will lecture—it must be a large event, right?"
“Hmm, maybe,” Fred nodded, yawning uncontrollably. “I guess it’s about occupying one side of the field—Quidditch is probably out of the question, there’s another match coming up, they definitely won’t let us occupy the training field.”
"It should be near the Forbidden Forest or by the Black Lake; other sites are not so easy to modify."
"It should be. The next step is probably renovation... It's quite something to look forward to seeing two professors working together to renovate the space..."
"Looks like there won't be a test next class... Hmm, the timing doesn't match up either. If it were a joint exam, we definitely wouldn't have filled the whole day with classes..."
"Let's see how things go. They might find an assistant from among the upperclassmen. Anyway, it's still next week. If we want to find out, we'll definitely uncover most of the information..."
The two brothers, yawning, started analyzing the situation, each offering their own perspective.
What are you all doing crowding over there?
Lee Jordan called out to the two from a distance, "Hurry up and get to Professor McGonagall's class!"
"Okay, almost done!"
The two dazed Weasleys immediately perked up, "Excuse me!"
They apologized as they weaved through the crowd to their friend, then jogged towards the lounge exit and disappeared.
"How come they seem to know everything..."
Amidst the huddled crowd, Ron watched his two older brothers run off into the distance, utterly bewildered.
“Hagrid might know something—” Harry hesitated before speculating, “For any big event, they’ll definitely need magical creatures…”
"The professor seemed to have said that using upperclassmen's words could easily cause conflicts or lead to unfair play, since it's not a club... but I'm not entirely sure about that..."
"That makes sense. Let's ask Hagrid about it later!"
Hermione?
"what?"
Hermione woke up with a start and instinctively tried to cover the things in her hands, but Harry still saw them clearly.
That was the timetable. The place that originally had two markings was marked again by something that looked extremely light and sloppy.
That was already a conflicting class, and of all things, it was on a Wednesday…
'It seems Hermione's class is going to be three periods now? Are you kidding me? I must be mistaken, there's no way that's possible!'
Chapter 349 Created by Magic
"The Apparition restriction on that open space has been temporarily lifted, from now until 8 PM—is that enough time?"
As Professor McGonagall spoke, she handed the approval slip to William.
“That’s enough, Professor.”
William took it casually, "The later stage of site modification doesn't require Apparition, it's just that the initial site modification was a bit too cumbersome."
“After all, it’s a large project. To be honest, I’ve had enough of the Auror office constantly complaining that the graduates are of such poor quality that they can’t pass the initial screening—” Professor McGonagall shook her head. “Last year, those kids did receive praise, at least the number of Auror selections was no longer zero.”
“By the way, the Auror office said that if this year’s graduates are as outstanding as last year’s or even better, the Auror office will provide the school with a special training fund—” She looked at William, her expression slightly serious, “The fund is a small matter, I don’t want to hear him say that the school’s graduates are of poor quality.”
“There are fewer students this year, but in terms of grades, they are still better than last year’s graduates. But I’m afraid we won’t get the funding from the Auror office, so I estimate there won’t be many applicants. William spread his hands in a helpless manner. “If you want to look forward to it, wait for next year’s graduates. To be honest, I’m extremely satisfied with their growth.”
“Then let them wait another year,” Professor McGonagall smiled as she spoke of the current sixth graders. The various subjects of magic are not so independent. A student who excels in self-defense will definitely be good at subjects like charms and transfiguration. Perhaps they are lacking in advanced courses, but their foundational knowledge is absolutely solid. “Our students are worth waiting another year for.”
"Then Professor Lu Ping and I will go and tidy up the venue first, Professor."
William stood up to take his leave. Canceling Apparition on campus required a report, and even the annual Apparition class was no exception. He didn't have that much time to waste.
"Then I look forward to this long lecture, Professor William, Remus."
Professor McGonagall said goodbye to them.
"You'll see, Professor. We've been discussing this for a long time."
After leaving Professor McGonagall's office, Lupin seemed much more normal, which made William wonder if he had some kind of trauma from his student days—but he didn't ask.
“Strange,” Lupin shook his head, “The professor should know the seventh-grade students’ grades very well, so how could he…”
Every professor in the castle knew how much Professor McGonagall cared about education, and although Lupin had been in the wizarding world for many years, he still didn't understand what his headmaster was talking about.
"nothing…"
William shook his head. "After seeing that the sixth graders could sit down and do their tests, Professor McGonagall felt that the seventh graders' education was a bit lax, so she asked me to assign more homework."
The professor may not have meant it that way, but there's probably nothing wrong with doing it this way—if everything that needs to be covered in the course has been covered, then all that's left is practice. If you don't assign tests, how can you provide them with internships?
“Perhaps you are right,” Lupin shook his head, no longer dwelling on the issue, and began to discuss the construction details with William.
-
"Look over there, the professors are chatting and laughing."
In the hallway, a couple on a date secretly pointed at the professor—graduation was approaching, and even interns were getting more time off to return to school and prepare for the NEWTs exam.
But this also caused couples who were enjoying their secret dates to start savoring their last moments on campus. While most people could understand, the fifth-graders, who were going crazy, wished someone would throw a turd down the hallway right then and there...
"I guess it's about the joint course that's been all over the place—I heard the Weasley twins are planning a big event, but there's no concrete evidence yet."
"I really envy them... We still have to busy ourselves with internships and NEWTs."
The two reminisced for a moment, then began discussing whether they should have watched the event that day—neither of them had attended the advanced class.
-
"But if you're the one adding extra classes... won't the students complain?"
Seeing the seventh-grade children taking a walk over there, Lupin suddenly remembered this important matter.
“How could that be…” William shook his head, glancing at the children as well. “This kind of thing definitely needs to be discussed with all the professors of the graduating class… This year’s seventh graders won’t have any leisurely time before leaving school.”
The more outstanding the sixth graders are this year, the more miserable the seventh graders are. There's no one to reason with about this.
"Hopefully they will realize this problem and enjoy it before the professors' new measures come out—but this is for their own good, because, to be honest, the school doesn't take the NEWTs exam very seriously."
"After all, once you get to the advanced class, it really depends on talent..."
"Yes, that's true."
……
"We've arrived. This land is now under our control."
William stomped his foot on the ground. “The project is huge, but we don’t need to make it look too nice.”
"That's true—and we set the rules for the game on the field."
Lupin rarely smiled, but he pulled out his wand and waved it at the ground, causing a large clump of earth to rise and then spread out for dozens of meters (Note).
"Defensive spells have also been removed. Normally, it's not so easy to deform the ground on campus."
"Otherwise, why would we need to apply? If the castle didn't have any defensive magic, Gryffindor could have demolished Hogwarts within a week."
William was joking, but it was a modified version; the original version dismantled Azkaban.
“As a Gryffindor,” Lupin suddenly became serious, “I must refute this slander—we can do it in a day.”
"Ha ha…"
The two laughed at the same time, waved their wands, and the nearby land began to distort wildly, rising, falling, turning into mud, and solidifying into giant rocks.
After a piece of land was completely transformed for raising cats, they nodded, their figures flashed, and the next moment they appeared on another piece of land.
The magic wand was waved again, the grass flew up, the trees moved on their own, and then the previous transformation was repeated.
On land unrestricted by any spells, magic, like a giant hand, molded dozens or hundreds of square meters of land at will, like clay. As the manipulators of magic, William and Lupin were as relaxed as if they were on a picnic, without even a drop of sweat.
When they finally stopped, the vast expanse of land, nearly three Quidditch pitches in size, was no longer recognizable as it had been.
“I think I pinched it a little too much, Professor Lupin.”
"Me too…"
The two looked at the place in front of them and were shocked by their own actions—the Law of Secrecy was something that ordinary wizards did, and only on the grounds of Hogwarts could the two professors act so recklessly.
"Spells for protection seem exhausting..."
Lupin surveyed the area. At most, the school would restore the anti-Apparition spell. If they also restored the protection, then all their efforts would have been in vain—the land would return to almost its original state.
"Just make a token gesture—tell them in advance that anyone above fourth grade who dares to damage the walls will be considered cheating!"
Ultimately, William had no choice but to downgrade the wall protection...
What else can they do? They've built too much; they won't be able to complete the protective magic on the walls... This isn't a spell to prevent students from getting hurt; it's to prevent them from destroying the house...
Are we really going to call over sixth and seventh graders under the guise of extracurricular practice, and then deduct points for anyone who fails to cast protective magic properly? That would be utterly inhumane…
Chapter 350 Large-Scale Course in Progress
"sky!"
When the seventh-grade students, who were not troubled by their studies and had both spare money and time, gathered around the land at the edge of the forbidden forest, they couldn't help but sigh with emotion.
Under the various restrictions of the secrecy laws, these children had no idea how much damage their wands could actually cause—there was nowhere outside the school for them to run wild, and the protective charms that had been reinforced over a thousand years inside the school directly suppressed their bold ideas.
"Just one day—that's incredible..."
