Because of their hard work, Professor William's terror in Gryffindor rose to another level—even the twins were forced to study hard, let alone ordinary students.
'Just one more look...'
He knew this was wrong, but he couldn't help looking over out of curiosity—were fifth graders allowed to go out and play? The third graders were happily in class!
But they are indeed twins, and they are in fifth grade.
Moreover, the cheers grew stronger and stronger; what had previously been just occasional noises drifting in through the windows had now become a deafening roar.
Even Professor McGonagall was drawn to the cheerful sound.
She turned around, looked at the students, then quickly walked to the window and glanced outside.
"you…"
Professor McGonagall had just started speaking when, as if suddenly remembering something, she glanced out the window again.
Harry noticed that the professor seemed to be casting a spell on her—she glanced at him several times before turning away.
'Oh no, the twins must have been discovered.'
Harry couldn't help but think that the twins' red hair was so striking that he would never forget it after just one glance.
Professor McGonagall said nothing, then walked back to the podium and began rummaging through her bag.
"Excuse me, the class will be paused for a moment. I need to check something."
Professor McGonagall addressed the students and then quickly left the classroom.
Before long, Harry heard Percy's faint voice coming from him—which was not surprising, as Professor McGonagall, as the head of the student council and one of the oldest prefects, called him over to do things more than half the time.
"...Why did Professor Adams send his students to class so late? And why wasn't it in the greenhouse...?"
Professor McGonagall's voice could be faintly heard; she seemed to be asking Percy something.
“…Professor William…”
Percy's response was barely audible; Harry only heard Professor William's name.
'Did Professor William let those students leave?'
It's impossible to confirm, but after Professor McGonagall returned, her complexion improved significantly, and she even had... well, a look of taking it all for granted?
-
'Are those kids going to the Quidditch pitch?'
Inside the greenhouse, Professor Sprout observed and communicated with Adams, surrounded by sixth and seventh graders who had come to attend classes and help out.
"He finally decided to give the children some time to rest."
The Hufflepuff principal looked pleased. "I actually really wanted him to give the children a break occasionally. How could he possibly finish all those tests? But after all, that's within his normal teaching scope."
"That's great, aren't our students very happy?"
“Yes,” Adams nodded in agreement.
The students in the advanced classes glanced at the two professors above them and then began to exchange glances.
"Did they add more questions this year?"
'I don't know, it seems like—the professors weren't usually this easy to talk to!'
Chapter 336 The End of Sirius's Volunteer Life
"These students really have a lot of energy..."
At the dinner table, Adams and William spoke in hushed tones—after tending to the greenhouse all day, even he, who was considered physically robust among wizards, was exhausted.
"yes…"
Watching the chattering fifth-grade students, William couldn't help but sigh, "It's so nice to be young. They were all exhausted from playing this morning, but after a short rest, they're full of energy again."
'That's because other professors also let them take breaks in class...'
Adams secretly grumbled to himself, but did not tell William the truth.
Because William had given the students a good time during the morning self-defense class, several fifth-grade professors simply let the students rest as well.
To paraphrase the professors in the office, "I've thought about it, and I can't expect the students to study like crazy when Professor William isn't giving exams... We've already had enough extra classes this semester."
Thinking about this, Adams shook his head. "Age-wise, you're no different from students who graduated a few years ago. You act like you're so mature..."
"No no no,"
William shook his finger in rebuttal, "Look over there, at the Gryffindor table, the two most active children."
Adams glanced over there—it was the Weasley brothers, quite popular in the office, whose story had already been spread by several professors.
"What happened to them?"
“I feel that spending a year with them can give me three years of work experience,” William waved his hand. “So, I’m already a professor with more than five years of work experience.”
"Pfft, haha..."
Professor Taylor on the other side burst out laughing, but fortunately William noticed in time and snapped his fingers to prevent further trouble.
"Thank you~ Haha~ Professor William."
Professor Taylor thanked him while continuing to laugh heartily, “One year is equivalent to three years—a wonderful adjective. In that case, Professor McGonagall’s teaching experience is longer than the principal’s.”
The professors around them laughed along, since Professor McGonagall wasn't at the table today, so they could laugh a little more freely.
"Speaking of which, those twins have been working really hard this year, and their grades have improved significantly recently."
"Indeed, we haven't seen them in solitary confinement much this year."
"Perhaps because of the extra classes, with half the weekend time gone, their time for pranks has been greatly reduced."
"I think it's also related to homework. After all, there's a lot of homework in fifth grade. If you have to finish your homework, then you definitely won't have enough time to play pranks."
"That's right—Professor McGonagall looks much better lately, and her funding is also..."
"Cough cough!!!"
A cough interrupted the conversation, and the professors, who had been chatting happily, suddenly became serious, each of them diligently dealing with the food in front of them, as if the lively scene from just moments ago existed only in a phantom.
Professor McGonagall pushed open the door and walked toward the professors' dining table.
"Professor McGonagall is so late—did something happen? She almost never comes if she doesn't show up around mealtimes."
Adams said in a low voice.
"God knows how long I've only been at school..."
William shrugged—joking aside, he still had a lot to learn, like Professor McGonagall's schedule.
After all, all the professors knew that Professor Dumbledore was practically never seen in his office at this school…
-
"Bigfoot, you should at least leave during the day. Why did you suddenly decide to leave at night?"
In the school hospital, Lu Ping looked at his friend with a puzzled expression, completely unable to understand his choice.
"I didn't do anything big, do you think I'd expect to leave during the day and have the students see me off? I'm not the Minister of Magic—" Sirius Black, whose hair had grown back, had regained some of his former handsomeness thanks to the good food at Hogwarts.
As he packed his meager belongings, he turned and said, "Instead of slinking away during the day, I'd rather get things done and leave at night. I sneaked in at night, so naturally I should leave quietly at night."
Sirius Black whistled as he put the books into the box Lupin had helped him buy. "Besides, don't forget our old profession—Hogwarts at night is ours!"
After saying that, he chuckled, and Lu Ping also started laughing like an idiot. For a moment, the two grown men were laughing like fools.
"By the way, does Harry know?"
“I haven’t told him yet—actually, once we’ve settled everything out there, we’ll just pick him up when he’s on summer vacation,” Sirius struck a very reliable pose. “Well, I asked him secretly, and he can’t wait to get out of that awful Muggle family.”
"Trust me, I'll handle everything—" Sirius patted Lupin on the shoulder, "If even a guy like Snotty can become Dean, what can't happen?"
“Of course you can,” Lupin would say with a trusting look. “Back in school, all the professors thought you could handle anything.”
“If all goes well, I hope to get everything sorted out before the Easter holidays, and I hope he can spend those holidays with me.” Sirius slammed the lid of the suitcase shut, then picked it up and tried it on. “Perfect fit. It’s time to start a new journey, Remus.”
He left the hospital first, and Lu Ping followed behind to see him off. The two talked a lot about their dreams for the future and their memories of the past.
"Let's stop here, round face."
Nearby at Hogsmeade, Sirius called out to Lupin, "We can Apparate from here. I don't want to go into the Shrieking Shack right now."
"Hmm... Good luck, Bigfoot."
Lupin took a big step forward, hugged Sirius, and tried to sound cheerful, "Then I'll be waiting to see your success."
“Of course.” Sirius Black put on a smug look. “Alright, then I won’t invite you over. See you at Easter.”
He waved his left hand, which wasn't carrying the suitcase, then cleverly spun halfway around and disappeared with a snap.

"By the way, William, how's the preparation for your club going?"
With Professor McGonagall's arrival, the topic naturally shifted. While eating dessert, Adams talked about the new flavors his club students had come up with and asked curiously.
"Not even a shadow of them—" William hesitated, taking a small piece of cake for himself, "Because of the Weasley brothers, this year's fifth graders are exceptionally difficult to manage..."
Of course, there's another reason that's hard to say—this year, the Dark Lord hasn't shown up to cause trouble even though it's already March.
Although it sounded a bit funny, William dared not take it as a joke. He was indeed burdened by a curse, and when it came to matters of life and safety, no amount of precaution was too much.
The Dark Lord is going to be resurrected next school year. The information he currently knows is that the Dark Lord appeared when Harry was a first-year student and was driven away. Although the Dark Lord himself did not appear when Harry was a second-year student, he was involved in both the opening of the Chamber of Secrets and the appearance of the diadem.
Given the current situation, William simply couldn't believe that anything related to the Dark Lord wouldn't happen this year.
He initially thought it was Sirius Black, the First Death Eater, who brought up the Dark Lord's conspiracy, but Sirius had no connection whatsoever with the Dark Lord. The real culprit, Peter Pettigrew, had been a pet in the wizard's house for over a decade and had even less to do with the Dark Lord's plot.
Forcing a connection isn't out of the question, but William can't afford to risk his life...
"So how are you going to write a recommendation letter for the seventh grade? It's no less important than NEWTs."
"I'll prepare one for the high-performing students. After teaching them for two years, I have a good understanding of their level—they've managed all these years without recommendation letters..."
After all, William wasn't a student who had passed all the exams, so this was the only way he could manage—he had only just figured out the trick, and this was the best method he could find.
And to be honest, these kids who can attend advanced classes even through self-study are indeed reassuring. Apart from the extremely low success rate, there's nothing to criticize.
Dinner was over in the middle of our conversation.
