"Mom, I've finished today's homework!"

The twins came out of their room, holding up their homework and shouting to Mrs. Weasley—there was no way around it, the holiday plans were now in Mrs. Weasley's hands, and they weren't going anywhere until they finished them.

"Okay, wait a minute, let me check the accuracy of the relevant information for you. Then you can go out and play for two hours."

Mrs. Weasley took the so-called test paper with some skepticism—it was one she had created herself. Following Professor William's advice, she could copy the content from the pages with lots of illustrations in the book, erase the key parts, and use fill-in-the-blank questions to assess her abilities.

It was quite laborious and time-consuming. If it weren't for Percy's strong advocacy, Mrs. Weasley would have stopped long ago—their family had just won a prize from the Daily Prophet and were currently on a trip to visit Bill.

Mrs. Weasley was a little unsure whether it was really effective to insist on doing homework while the whole family was out having fun, especially something as time-consuming as copying from a textbook.

'How about letting them have a good holiday?'

She was reviewing the book while harboring doubts.

Meanwhile, the twins were busy brainwashing their father, Arthur Weasley.

"Actually, it's not very effective, Dad. Look, Ron doesn't need it at all—it's just a way to keep us from being naughty. We promise we won't cause any trouble this time we're out playing."

"Exactly! Even though we're in Egypt, if we still have to do those boring fill-in-the-blank exercises, what's the difference between that and being at home? When you're out having fun, you should have a good time!"

The two of them were taking turns persuading each other, and it seemed they were about to succeed.

But Mrs. Weasley suddenly burst in with a letter.

"Arthur, come quick—"

She waved the letter and called her husband inside.

“I have a bad feeling, George.”

Me too.

"Let's go out and have some fun first... otherwise I feel like we're going to lose even these two hours."

So the two of them went out and had a great time.

When they returned to the rented house, everyone in the family gathered in the small living room, including the youngest, Ginny.

But to their surprise, although they played for a rather long time, Mrs. Weasley showed no sign of being angry.

“Fred, George.”

She said cheerfully, "Professor William was right. I never had high hopes for your OWLs exams... I didn't really believe it even when the professor said we could make it."

"Oops!"

Mrs. Weasley's smile was genuinely kind, but when the two exchanged a glance, their spirits plummeted.

"A letter just came from China, from a friend of mine. She told me that Professor William is simply a genius in teaching."

'Clearly a devil…'

The two looked at each other and communicated.

“Percy said the professor thinks very highly of you, and I…” Mrs. Weasley paused slightly, “I’m so sorry, I trusted you too little, even less than a professor who doesn’t know you very well…”

"What happened—No!"

The two stared at each other frantically, but it had no effect.

“I even carried out that plan half-heartedly, completely wasting the professor’s good intentions…” Mrs. Weasley held up the letter in her hand. “Everyone passed the exam, not a single one failed. The Wizarding Examinations Authority never goes easy on anyone!”

Amidst the despair in the two brothers' eyes, Mrs. Weasley smiled with considerable relief. "Mother has decided that, for the next period of time, the whole family will help you carry out the plan devised by Professor William!"

"We're doomed..."

This was their final thought...

Chapter 250 The New Professor

Dear Harry:

happy Birthday.

I'm so sorry about that phone call; I probably shouldn't have yelled at you like that. I hope they haven't made you too upset lately.

Egypt is amazing, and the pyramids are amazing.

Although Mom kept nagging, it was really great that Percy didn't come.

'Percy didn't go? What did he do there?'

Harry pictured the meddlesome prefect in his mind and couldn't help but wonder why the prefect would miss such a rare family trip.

He had just received the letter from his good friend Ron, along with his birthday present.

Although his mind was full of questions, Harry put them aside and continued reading the letters.

Because of Fred and George's summer plans, Mom initially considered going to Egypt, but ultimately decided to go with them—after all, Bill hadn't been home for a long time.

Oh, right, I almost forgot, just like the newspaper you saw said, Dad won the Daily Prophet lottery, a whole seven hundred Galleons!

Good heavens, what am I rambling on about?

Well, I can only say I'm incredibly surprised. Honestly, even my dad winning the lottery wasn't this shocking—you should remember Professor William, right?

Harry subconsciously touched his leg to make sure it was alright before continuing to read the letter.

These past two days, Dad and Mom have been talking about Professor William. Apparently, all of his students passed the OWL exam last year!

Honestly, Harry, even when Dad won the lottery, Mom wasn't that excited. She practically took Professor William's holiday plan for Fred and the others as gospel, even though just a few days ago I was listening to her complain about how the professor sent Percy to do an internship outside.

This made the trip extra fun—honestly, supervising Fred and George doing their homework was more enjoyable than playing in Egypt, since Mom would come and do it herself if they didn't do it properly.

I bet if that professor hadn't specifically instructed them to have two hours of leisure time each day, they might have run away from home.

Harry could read Ron's joy just from those words—Harry still remembered Ron's fear when he complained about his toys being turned into spiders by his two older brothers.

……

"Yes, everything is fine, and I'll get my wand sorted out before school starts."

We'll stay here until about a week before school starts, then I'll go to London to buy my wand and new book. I hope to meet you there.

Let's try to come to London.

Ron had a lot of fun.

Harry thought to himself as he prepared to read the next letter.

But he always felt that something was wrong.

After thinking for a long time, Harry finally lay down on the bed, wrapped himself tightly in the blanket, pressed down on every corner, and checked that his legs were there before he felt relieved and continued to unpack the package.

"William! Congratulations!"

Hagrid occupied the largest table by himself, holding up a wooden cup as big as a bucket, and shouted at William, who had just come upstairs.

"Thank you, Hagrid. Coming to Diagon Alley on business?"

William strode over, sat down, and called out to the bar, "Old Tom, a beer, please!"

"No, I just came to have a drink."

Hagrid laughed heartily. "I heard from Professor McGonagall that the students' results this time were quite outstanding."

“They worked very hard,” William praised the students while thanking old Tom. “It’s wonderful that hard work pays off, isn’t it?”

“Of course,” Hagrid downed half a barrel of liquor in one gulp. “I passed.”

"Position?"

William immediately thought of what the old professor had said when he left, and then received a slightly shy response from Hagrid, "Yes, I've already received the appointment letter, and I've submitted the textbooks for the new semester."

"Congratulations, Hagrid, you are the best I have ever seen when it comes to magical creatures."

William picked up his glass and downed half of it in one gulp.

"Thank you, William." Hagrid's face was slightly flushed. "I'll definitely do a good job."

"Whom did you recommend for the new hunting ground guard?"

“It’s me again. No one knows that job better than me,” Hagrid said, looking at William with a puzzled expression, as if he had asked a stupid question.

"Can you manage all that, Hagrid?"

William was stunned. Although the class on protecting magical creatures was an elective course offered in the third year and the academic pressure wasn't that high, the part-time job was just too outrageous.

"It's just taking classes in my spare time..." Hagrid put down his wine glass, looking confused—William, what strange thing are you talking about?

"Don't you count preparation time? Don't you consider what to teach in class? There are also student feedback issues and exam problems. Haige, are you really managing to handle all this?"

William looked at Hagrid, fearing that he would see Hagrid and Professor Binns bragging to each other at the end of next year.

Doing two jobs at the same time is too much to ask of a person. Moreover, the Protecting Magical Creatures class is one of the few courses taught by a single professor. The senior professors have been teaching for a long time and have much less time to prepare lessons. Hagrid is a complete newcomer. Isn't this putting him under immense pressure?

"Do we still need to consider these things?"

Hagrid's eyes were filled with confusion.

He lived on the edge of the Forbidden Forest and had never experienced so much since dropping out of Hogwarts.

"Of course, otherwise how could students' grades improve?"

William drank the rest of his wine as he spoke—his mouth was getting dry.

"You need to prepare your lessons, know what you need to do, and then compare this part with the expected goals for this year to determine how much content you need to prepare for the next lesson."

"After determining the content of the lesson, you need to figure out which parts of the lesson are interesting and which parts are boring, and then insert some interesting elements to keep the students engaged."

"At the same time, we need to adjust the content according to the students' reactions during class—whether to let them operate, continue listening to the story, or take notes."

"Finally, we need to consider homework, which is an important step in helping them reinforce what they learned in class."

"Of course, exam papers are good too, but that's a different story; it's more complicated."

William talked for a while, then casually finished off the newly served beer.

Hagrid's eyes had drifted off somewhere.

Is protecting magical creatures really that complicated?
