From Azkaban to Hogwarts.

"No special treatment at all?"
"Yes, there are. Two people want to become Aurors, so I gave them a few more of the exam papers I prepared."
William ordered himself another small lamb chop.
"Alright, let's wait and see. Although the final results will be sent later, we can basically tell the final exam results during this afternoon's practical class. They won't be too far off, that's based on experience."
Adams shared his experience without reservation: "It won't work in the morning, the professors can't get in, but we can try to find a way in the afternoon."
"Okay, then it's up to you."
William didn't hesitate to stick to Adams—no matter how much he said he wasn't worried, he was still a little curious about how the children's answers were.
"Okay, don't think about it this morning. Come with me to the hospital to see those students. They've woken up, but they haven't been allowed to leave the hospital yet."
"what?"
"Yes, there were too many students this time. Even with the most careful care, they've all become quite weak lately, after lying down for so long..."
“Okay, that will save me from constantly thinking about the exam.” William nodded. “Let’s go buy some candy and other snacks later.”
-
“Professor William…”
Mrs. Pomfrey looked helpless. "It's one thing for those children to bring so many snacks, but you should know that candy and chocolate frogs are one thing, but snacks like multi-flavored beans are not good for their recovery."
“Just this once, Mrs. Pomfrey,” William said with an embarrassed smile, “After lying here for so long and having the curse cleared, having a little snack isn’t so bad…”
Naturally, William and Adams, carrying snacks, were welcomed by the students.
This delayed their departure from the hospital for quite some time. If William hadn't been thinking about the students taking their exams, and if he hadn't had to cheer them on in the afternoon, they probably would have stayed out much later.
"Take good care of yourself, next year is the time for you to take the exams!"
William waved to the students one last time.
-
"Suddenly, I feel like the Chocolate Frog doesn't taste good anymore..."
On a hospital bed, a student who was examining a card weakly spread his hands.
"Pretty much... Why don't I just get cursed to fifth grade? That way I won't have to worry about the OWLs exams."
"Wake up, as is customary, not only is there an exam, but they've also thoughtfully prepared a second exam—usually around the start of the new school year after summer vacation. This has happened before; the Examination Authority has very comprehensive regulations..."
“Shut up, Selma—you’re becoming just as annoying as Professor William…”
A bag of Chocolate Frogs was thrown at the student, silencing the student who had brought up the most sensitive topic.
-
"Hiding won't help; we still have to face the exam eventually."
Adams was making sarcastic remarks, saying that his students weren't taking exams this year and were having a very easy time.
After a quick lunch, William and Adams became gatekeepers at the entrance of the examination hall, offering blessings to the students going to take the exam.
As planned, he smiled and made a cheering gesture to encourage the children, but the actual situation was completely different from what he had imagined.
He didn't want to put pressure on the students during the exam period, so he deliberately didn't ask them how they did. So theoretically, this was the first time he had been in close contact with these kids today, but the students looked at him with eyes full of trust.
William didn't even make a cheering gesture; every student who was called in had an expression that said, "I can do it, Professor, just you wait and see."
"Adams, I feel like something's not right."
As a group of students went inside, William whispered.
"What's wrong? You seemed pretty energetic, didn't you?"
Adams looked puzzled. "Do you want them to look completely lost, like they know nothing?"
"No, that expression shouldn't be like that."
William shook his head. "Their expressions don't look like they're going to an exam; they look like they're going on a picnic..."
To be precise, it was as if we had received the correct answer in advance.
Wait—could it be...?
William was stunned. The exams in the magical world are different from the traditional Chinese exams. There are not many ways to play tricks on the questions. He had prepared a few sets of questions before the exam... Could he have guessed them correctly?
"Adams, are you sure you can handle the test this morning?"
Because he was unfamiliar with the examiner, William had no choice but to ask Adams for help.
"It might be difficult, but since I've already passed the exam, I can still give it a try."
Adams scratched his head and went out to ask a familiar examiner a question.
A short while later, he came running back, panting, with the exam questions in his hand.
"This is the only set; the questions for the morning's written test are impossible to get for the afternoon's."
A large sheet of parchment was handed to William, who began to quickly review the question.
Fortunately, the question wasn't about him.
Chapter 23333 is really hilarious...
Although it might sound like I'm bragging, William did indeed put all his worries aside after reviewing the morning's exam questions.
"Some chocolate, Adams."
He happily took out a chocolate from his pocket and handed one to Adams.
As the first bite of chocolate melts in your mouth, the waiting time becomes as sweet as the chocolate itself.
-
With the last child emerging, Professor William's Wizarding Self-Defense Magic class's OWLs exam officially came to an end.
"Terry, you're the last one, how does it feel?"
William waved to the last boy to come out. The boy's basic knowledge was improving rapidly, but his ability to learn more advanced knowledge was not very strong.
"Yes, I have done everything you instructed us to master perfectly, and even made some breakthroughs."
The boy named Terry flashed his pearly white teeth. "Professor, after taking the exam for so long, this is the first time I've been so confident about my score!"
"Fantastic!"
William clapped approvingly and said, "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go prepare for tomorrow's exam!"
"I didn't take an elective exam tomorrow, so I just need to prepare well for Potions class this weekend!" Terry said smugly. "I've always been very confident in my potions skills!"
"But don't be complacent. The more prepared you are, the higher your chances of getting an O."
"Yes, Professor."
Terry nodded and ran out to find his classmate.
-
"I really miss those days. I used to be just as enthusiastic when I went to find my classmates. Ah, those youthful days."
Adams watched Terry run away and spoke with a sigh, reminiscing about the past.
"Are you sure..." William looked at Adams with suspicion. "I remember Hinged saying that your grades..."
"William, shut up!" Adams attacked with his eyes. "At least my classmates were waiting for me to come out and check the answers!"
"Okay, you're right."
William didn't question it, "Why haven't the examiners come out yet?"
"I don't know, they should have come out a long time ago..." Adams didn't bring up the topic of how things were back then. "I remember the examiners came out very quickly during the herbalism exam!"
'It can't be that some student knocked everyone out during the exam...' William thought to himself, but he didn't move his feet.
The OWLs exams are large-scale exams entirely controlled by the Wizarding Examinations Authority. While the students are being observed during the exams, the professors are not allowed to enter during the deliberations between the examiners after the exams—William had no intention of breaking this fair rule.
“Just wait,” William said, not daring to take out the chocolate this time, and handed Adams a fresh straw, “to chew on.”
Who would be so childish?
Adams rolled his eyes.
-
Just before the two men's straw was bitten through, there was finally some movement in the examination room.
A short, hunchbacked witch emerged, her face covered in wrinkles, but her spirit overshadowed that of Professor Singed, whom William knew—the contrast made it impossible to judge her age.
“Professor Marchban,” William greeted the witch respectfully—of the entire Hogwarts faculty, only Professor Binns could be so arrogant in front of her.
"Ah, Professor William, would you mind wasting a little time?"
“How can you call it a waste of time?” William replied quite politely to this opponent he had been pondering for even longer than the basilisk. “Gaining experience from older wizards is a necessary process for a wizard to grow.”
“As expected of a student raised with traditional education,” the old lady seemed very pleased, since she didn’t have to worry about what anyone in the castle thought if she was unhappy.
To be precise, based on the old lady's resume that William investigated, if she were to call the Minister of Magic an idiot, the Minister would immediately organize people to allocate another sum of money to the Examination Authority.
“Then let’s find an empty classroom,” Professor Marchban said, glancing at William and pointing to an empty classroom.
-
“If the Examination Authority hadn’t been free of leaks for so many years, we would all suspect that you had gotten your hands on the exam questions, Professor William.”
In the empty classroom, Professor Machiban looked at the anti-eavesdropping magic placed on the door and said with a smile.
“How could that be, Professor?” William spread his hands; he really hadn’t done it.
“But the students’ grades made me very suspicious of that. You have no idea how surprised we were after the exams,” the old lady said in a loud voice, but she didn’t seem angry at all. “Although the exam results will be delivered during the summer vacation, we can basically estimate how many students failed after the exams.”
She looked William up and down, her wrinkles spreading with a smile. "After we repeated the calculations three times, we realized that we had another very competent professor today."
“Thank you for your compliment,” William replied politely, still unsure of what the professor was really up to.
“Well, how should I put it,” Professor Marchban hesitated, “it’s not the right time to talk about this. Anyway—well, there’s some bad news circulating among the wizards.”
"Of course, it's not really the right time to say this..."
The old lady's dawdling almost drove William crazy—but he had to bear it.
