"This book is very interesting; it tells the story of Ryoma in a novel-like format," Amatsuki Toki said with a smile.
"Is it interesting? I haven't read this book yet. Can you tell me about it?" Mashiro chuckled, picked up Amatsuki, and then sat down in a chair, letting Amatsuki sit on her lap.
Amatsuki was about the same height as Mashiro, and even a little taller when wearing wooden clogs, but she sat on Mashiro's lap without any awkwardness. "The book mainly introduces some stories about Ryoma."
Ryuma was a great swordsman during the "Golden Country" period of Wano Country, a legendary dragon-slaying samurai who never suffered a defeat in his life and was revered as the God of Swords by later generations.
He was already invincible throughout Wano Country at a very young age. One of the most classic stories is about Ryuma.
The gist of the story is that Ryuma arrives in a small town in Wano Country. The town is frequently attacked by dragons, so the villagers regularly offer money to a samurai in exchange for his help in quelling the dragon attacks.
Through an unexpected turn of events, Ryoma discovers that the so-called dragon attack is merely a scheme by the samurai to swindle money. He exposes the samurai, but unexpectedly, the samurai and his group possess a method to summon a giant dragon.
Finally, the dragon arrived, and the village was in imminent danger. Amidst the residents' fear and the samurai's triumph, Ryuma drew his sword and severed the dragon's head in one fell swoop. Ryuma stopped countless pirates and world nobles from approaching, letting the whole world know that Wano Country has a samurai, a figure of many legends, who had once slain...
The giant dragon is one of them.
After Ryuma's death, he was revered as the God of Swords by Wano Country and enshrined in a shrine along with the famous sword 'Shusui'.
This is the general content of the book. "Tengetsu Toki began, introducing it, 'Slicing a dragon in two with a single strike? That's really cool.' Mashiro chuckled lightly."
"Mashiro actually reads this kind of book?" Amatsuki asked curiously. In her opinion, Mashiro was always very busy and didn't even have time to read books, let alone novels like this.
You probably won't see this book anytime soon, but I can tell you the general plot. This book mainly tells the story of a samurai living in a samurai country in a ninja world.
The story has two main characters: one is called the Lone Warrior, and the other is called Funanosuke.
Because of a war, the land of samurai was invaded by ninjas, and the family of the destitute samurai and Funanosuke all died as a result.
Thus, the lonely samurai and Funanosuke embarked on two completely different paths. Mashiro spoke softly, her voice gentle, with a hint of melancholy. As Mashiro spoke, Toki Amatsuki shed tears.
As someone who lived in Wano Country and had believed in samurai since childhood, her understanding of the book's content was far deeper than that of a novice like Mashiro. "So, Toki, which character in this book do you like the most?" Mashiro asked softly after finishing her story.
"Both the Lone Samurai and Funanosuke are excellent samurai, but if I had to choose, I would prefer the Lone Samurai. He fought against fate all the time, even abandoning his property and his wife. He lived his whole life in battle, but in the end, he did not have a good end."
Just like many of the stories my parents told me about samurai when I was a child.
They were all heroes, all had tragic experiences, all did great things, but all met tragic ends. "Tian Yueshi wiped away her tears and said with a sigh.
As expected, most people like the lonely samurai. Because of his romance, his romanticism, and therefore, his appeal.
“My favorite character in this book is Funanosuke, because he’s the only one who thought of making a change,” Mashiro said softly.
"Change?" Amatsuki asked, somewhat puzzled. In her opinion, Mashiro should prefer this kind of strong and resolute hero.
“That’s right, it’s about change. The land of samurai was invaded by ninjas, and the lonely samurai and Funanosuke’s family all died as a result. But the lonely samurai was always filled with fear and hatred, while Funanosuke chose to combine samurai skills with ninjutsu,” Mashiro said.
"But in the end, he couldn't change anything; the samurai nation still perished," said Kanzuki.
“He has changed a lot. He has preserved the samurai legacy among the ninjas, which is remarkable,” Mashiro said, stroking Toki’s hair.
Lacking ambition, dwelling on the past, abandoning his wife and children—how could such a person learn the highest level of samurai martial arts? However, his personality is certainly likable to people your age. "Mashiro continued to explain.
Chapter 85: Afternoon
"Is Mashiro quite old?" Amatsuki Toki stopped dwelling on the novel topic and asked curiously instead. "If we're talking about age, she should be a little younger than you," Mashiro replied.
"But Mashiro, you always give me a very mature feeling, how should I put it, very reliable," Toki said with a smile. "By the way, Toki, come and comb my hair," Mashiro suddenly said.
"Okay, as long as Mashiro doesn't mind my bad hair." Amatsuki Toki happily jumped off Mashiro's lap and said with a smile.
Then, Toki quietly walked behind Mashiro, picked up the comb Mashiro handed him, and began to gently comb her hair. "Your hair is so beautiful," Toki remarked, stroking Mashiro's hair.
Mashiro closed her eyes slightly, her mind wandering to various things—things she had already done, things she hadn't done, and things she would do.
Tsuki gently combed Shiro's hair, the smooth strands making a soft sizzling sound as they touched the wooden comb. "Want to go for a walk later?" Tsuki asked softly after tying Shiro's hair up.
These past few days, Amatsuki Toki has been traveling around with Mashiro. Since they can't freely leave Mary Geoise, she hasn't had a chance to properly see the sights of any place.
“No problem, I know some fun places.” Mashiro said with a smile. “Great!” Toki laughed and hugged Mashiro tightly from behind.
"However, taking you out to play comes at a price..." Seeing Tenzuki's excited expression, Mashiro changed the subject. "Price? What do I need to do?" Tenzuki nuzzled Mashiro's face and asked curiously.
Mashiro turned around, reached out and tugged at Tenzuki's clothes, then put one arm around her waist.
Amatsuki understood what Mashiro meant, and her face instantly turned red, but she did not resist. Instead, she showed a hint of anticipation.
Soon, Tenzuki's clothes were scattered around the desk. Mashiro stroked Tenzuki's face, and their lips met.
When the moon shines...
Mashiro hugged her again.
, . . After . . . . . . . Looking at her.
"So white...~~" Amatsuki said in a deep, coquettish tone.
"Then..." Mashiro bit her earlobe. Afternoon.
Mashiro took Amaterasu Toki for a stroll.
Suddenly, Mashiro spotted a ramen shop and stopped in her tracks.
"Would you like some ramen? I haven't had it in ages, and I suddenly feel like trying it," Mashiro asked softly as she looked at Amatsuki.
Looking at the unremarkable little shop in front of her, Tenzuki couldn't help but feel curious and nodded slightly. She had never eaten ramen before. Then, Mashiro led Tenzuki inside, and they each ordered a bowl of ramen.
The chewy noodles, infused with broth, filled my mouth upon first bite. "It's really delicious," Amatsuki said softly.
Mashiro smiled, said nothing, and quietly watched Tenzuki eat ramen.
Seemingly a little embarrassed by Mashiro's gaze, Amatsuki Toki asked, "Aren't you going to eat?"
"Well, it's not really to my taste, but of course, if you feed me, I wouldn't mind eating a little more." Saying this, Mashiro opened her mouth and let out a soft "Ah~"
Without hesitation, Tenzuki picked up some ramen noodles with her chopsticks, blew on them, and put them into Mashiro's mouth. "The taste is indeed strange," Mashiro said.
In her opinion, the seafood flavor of the ramen was too strong, and the noodles weren't very chewy.
Mashiro's tongue touched Kaiko, causing Toki's face to flush slightly. After finishing their ramen, Mashiro took Toki to the Soap Bubble Park.
Soap Bubble Park has various amusement facilities, including bubble go-karts, a bubble carousel, and a bubble Ferris wheel.
There were also many vendors holding various activities, such as bubble balloon popping, bubble levitation challenges, and bubble blowing contests.
This was not only Amatsuki's first experience, but also Mashiro's first. One afternoon.
Mashiro accompanied Amatsuki through all the activities, which was a rare afternoon for Mashiro without thinking about anything else.
After playing at the soap bubble amusement park, the two went to a nearby tourist street, bought a lot of new clothes, and ate some desserts.
Although the ramen wasn't very good, the desserts in this world were exceptionally delicious. Later that night, Mashiro took Amatsuki to the hot springs.
There are few hot springs in the Sabaody Archipelago, and in fact, there shouldn't be any in the first place. But due to market forces, hot springs have been forced to emerge on these rooted islands.
Mashiro didn't care whether it was a real hot spring or a fake one; as long as it could help her relax, it was a good hot spring. After spending enough Berries, Mashiro booked a hot spring suite.
“Let’s go,” Mashiro said softly, then pushed open the door and went inside. Amatsuki hesitated for a moment, then followed her in.
"The hot spring is in the backyard. As I expected, all the best rooms in the hot spring hotels have open-air hot springs. Let's change into our bathrobes in the room first," Mashiro said softly, and then began to take off her clothes.
Tenzuki Toki was still a little unaccustomed to it. She was born in Wano Country, where there were hot springs, but she had never bathed in them, let alone bathed in them with anyone else.
Soaking in a hot spring together always feels like taking a bath together.
Amatsuki's personality is somewhat complicated. Even though she and Mashiro have done more intimate things, she still gets shy about small things sometimes.
But eventually, Amatsuki also began to take off her clothes. Wrapped in a yukata, Amatsuki went to the backyard.
Looking at the scene in the backyard, even she couldn't help but feel a sense of bewilderment.
A huge hot spring pool, artificial hills, pine trees, snow lotuses, drifting snowflakes, and Mashiro in the hot spring, like a snow fairy. "Mashiro has such a nice figure," Amatsuki Toki said softly, her face slightly flushed.
"Really? Toki has a great figure too. And she's very pretty." Mashiro said softly, looking at the towel that Toki had stretched to its limit.
Wrapped in bath coins, Tenzuki Toki's figure was curvaceous, exuding an alluring aura. "Thank you for the compliment," Tenzuki Toki said softly, a little shy.
She walked lightly to Mashiro's side, stepped into the water, and leaned against the artificial hill, stretching and showing off her curvaceous figure. "How is it? Doesn't soaking in a hot spring once in a while make you feel much more relaxed?" Mashiro said with a smile.
"Hmm~, indeed, it makes me feel all warm and cozy. I've heard that hot springs can improve your skin, I wonder if that's true." Tengetsu said softly, her whole body submerged in the water.
"If it's a real hot spring, then it certainly has that effect," Mashiro said softly. "Isn't this a real hot spring?" Amatsuki asked curiously.
"How could an island formed from tree roots possibly have hot springs? This is just an artificial hot spring, essentially a different kind of hot bath," Mashiro explained, stroking Amaterasu Toki's head.
"Disappointed~" Amatsuki said, pouting.
Chapter 86: Charlotte Linlin
"What is Mashiro planning to do next?" Amatsuki Toki asked curiously.
"After seeing Hancock and the other two off, I'm going to find someone," Mashiro said softly. "Someone?"
"Charlotte Linlin." The next day.
Mashiro returned to Shakky's tavern with Amatsuki.
"The details have been discussed, and barring any unforeseen circumstances, the three of them should be on the Kuja Pirates' ship tomorrow," Shakky said. As Shakky and Gloria had agreed, Rayleigh would bring the Hancock sisters to meet the Kuja Pirates near Loguetown in the East Blue. Meanwhile, the ship from Amazon Lily had already departed, and Rayleigh was also about to set off with the Hancock sisters.
"Lady Izumi." Although Hancock was incredibly excited to be returning to her hometown soon, for some reason, she also felt inexplicably sad about parting with Mashiro. "Good luck, Hancock, I have high hopes for the three of you," Mashiro said with a gentle smile, stroking Hancock's head.
“If I had the chance, I would really like to have a match with you. I wonder if you would be willing to give me that opportunity.” Rayleigh stood up, looked at Mashiro with a sharp look in his eyes, and said softly.
"Forget it, you can't beat me." Mashiro said with a smile. "Oh? Is that so?" Rayleigh suddenly laughed and said.
While he acknowledged Mashiro's strength, that didn't mean he believed he would lose to her.
“Since you’re so keen on this, then let’s do it next time. I’ll come to the Sabaody Archipelago again in a while, and then we can have a showdown. Right now, you’re in a worse situation, aren’t you?” Mashiro said with a smile.
“Indeed, then, I look forward to our next meeting,” Rayleigh said with a smile.
The three Hancock sisters nervously held Shakky's hand, wondering why Mashiro and Rayleigh were suddenly about to fight.
“Don’t worry about them. You’ll understand when you become stronger,” Shakky said softly. “Alright, it’s time, Rayleigh,” Shakky said, turning to Rayleigh.
“Come on, let’s go,” Rayleigh said to the three Hancock sisters, then walked out of the tavern.
The three Hancock sisters glanced at Shakky, then looked at Mashiro. "Go," Mashiro said softly.
Upon hearing this, the three Hancock sisters got up and followed Rayleigh.
At this moment, only Mashiro, Toki Amatsuki, and Natsuki remained in the tavern.
Xia Qi poured a beer for both Shiro and Yue Shi, and asked softly, "Is there anything else, Quan?" "Sister Xia Qi is really smart," Shiro said with a smile.
"Perhaps, but your performance was quite obvious." Shakky extinguished her cigarette and said. "Shakky, do you know Charlotte Linlin?" Mashiro asked softly.
"Charlotte Linlin, that girl from the Rocks Pirates, I've met her a few times, but we're not very close. What, does Izumi want to see her?" Shakky asked curiously.
