"The former queen of Amazon Lily was named Shakky, who was also the captain of the Kuja Pirates. She was a very powerful pirate who once led the Kuja Pirates across the seas and was even once hunted down by the Marine hero Garp."
"I've only heard a few of the pirates mention it. They say Lady Shakky runs a small tavern in the Sabaody Archipelago and keeps in touch with them, often providing them with intelligence," Hancock replied.
“Shakky? Okay, I understand.” Mashiro nodded.
She had heard Xiao Ba mention two names before, "Rayleigh" and "Shaki," so if nothing unexpected happened, it should be right. Shaoqi's "Extortion Bar."
Shaki was leaning against the bed smoking, while Rayleigh was sitting at the bar drinking.
Because of the tavern's unusual name, it rarely had any customers, but Shakky didn't seem to mind; she didn't rely on the tavern for her livelihood. "Still thinking about those children?" Rayleigh put down his clear glass and asked.
“Boa Lilith was once one of my crew members, and her three children are very talented. I thought there was no hope left, but this turmoil has brought another opportunity,” Shakky said.
Four years ago, the three Hancock sisters went missing.
After her search proved fruitless, Moriana, the current captain of the Kuja Pirates, contacted Shakky, whose intelligence network was even larger.
Because the Hancock sisters were taken to the Sabaody Archipelago by human traffickers, practically right under Shakky's nose, she quickly located their whereabouts.
Unfortunately, it was too late; the Hancock sisters had already been bought by a female dragon. Shakky was powerless to do anything about it and could only tell Mauryan the truth.
Although she was furious that "the child of a dead crew member had become a Celestial Dragon's slave right under her nose," Shakky could only silently accept the outcome.
Until a few days ago, when news spread that explorer Fisher Tiger had freed the slaves of Mary Geoise, Shakky's hope was rekindled. "If those three children are smart, they should know who to turn to," Shakky said calmly, extinguishing the cigarette in her mouth.
Just then, there was a knock on the tavern door. "Is anyone home?"
As they spoke, Mashiro and Toki led the three Hancock sisters in.
"Who are you?" Seeing the three Hancock sisters beside Mashiro, especially Hancock, Shakky had a vague guess, but still asked.
“I’m taking these three children home. They said they have some family members here,” Mashiro said with a smile. “Please have a seat.”
Upon hearing this, Shakky understood. She arranged for everyone to sit down, then went to the bar, poured a drink for Mashiro and Toki, and a glass of ice water for each of the three Hancock sisters.
"Are you three Lilith's pirates? These past few years have been tough." Shakky walked to the three Hancock sisters' side, looking at them with pity, and then reached out and gently touched Hancock's hair.
Upon hearing this, the three Hancock sisters burst into tears of grievance, overwhelmed with emotion at seeing their people again.
“You must be Hancock, Lilith’s eldest daughter. I’ve heard Moriana mention you in detail. You’re getting more and more beautiful. Those two should be your sisters, Boa Sandersonia and Boa Marigold, but their appearances…” Shakky didn’t continue.
The three Hancock sisters remained silent and did not speak.
"Devil Fruits. The Celestial Dragons who bought these three girls fed them Devil Fruits to make them stronger and increase the fun of gladiatorial combat," Mashiro said.
“That’s true. Only a Celestial Dragon could be so indifferent to a Devil Fruit worth 100 million Berries,” Shakky said with a tone of sarcasm and anger.
“I’ll contact Gloriaosa and Moriana right away. In a few days, the Nine Serpents will send someone to pick you up. I’ll go with that guy too,” Shakky said softly.
After Shakky finished speaking, Rayleigh turned and smiled at the three Hancock sisters.
"Thank you both very much this time. May I ask for your guidance?" After comforting the three Cook sisters, Shakky turned to Mashiro and Kanzuki, who were standing nearby.
“My name is Mashiro Izumi, you can just call me Izumi. This is my partner, her name is Toki,” Mashiro said softly. “Hello, I’m Toki,” Toki said with a smile.
"Hello, my name is Shakky, and that guy over there is called Rayleigh. If you need anything in the Sabaody Archipelago, feel free to contact me anytime," Shakky said with a light laugh.
"Thank you very much then," Zhen Zi said with a smile.
The three chatted casually, while Rayleigh silently drank his wine.
A moment later, the three Hancock sisters were a little sleepy. Shakky found them a room in the back of the tavern. After the three fell asleep, Shakky came to the tavern, looked at Mashiro, and asked: "All the newspapers are reporting on the story of explorer Fisher Tiger freeing slaves."
But from what I understand, the situation is not so simple. There were two masterminds behind the chaos of the slave emancipation movement, but because of the special identity of the other mastermind, the whole incident was pinned on Fisher Tiger.
"That should be right, Your Highness the Spring Palace."
"It seems Shakky's intelligence network is quite efficient," Mashiro said with a light laugh, offering no rebuttal.
After news of Tiger's liberation of the slaves spread, Shakky used her intelligence network to learn the general outline of the events through several informants hidden in Mary Geoise. She also learned of another name that had been concealed by the Navy and the World Government: Sassaria Tōsengumi.
“However, I prefer to be called Quan rather than Taoquan Palace,” Mashiro said with a light laugh.
"It's truly unbelievable that you, a Celestial Dragon, would plot the liberation of slaves and even escape Mary Geoise together," Shakky exclaimed in surprise and emotion.
"Perhaps it's out of curiosity," Mashiro said nonchalantly. "Curiosity?"
"I am curious about the past, curious about the lost century, and all of these things that I am curious about are recorded in the main text of history."
"The Celestial Dragons' higher-ups don't intend to hand over all the Poneglyphs to me, so I'll have to find a way to get them myself. The chaos caused by Tiger is a perfect opportunity," Mashiro said.
"What an astonishing identity, what astonishing information," Xia Qi remarked with considerable emotion.
"Isn't that 'Pluto' next to you the same? The legendary right hand of the king is actually quietly drinking in a small tavern." Mashiro looked at Rayleigh and said softly.
Chapter 83: Roger
"You seem to know me?" Rayleigh put down his wine glass, looked at Mashiro, and asked.
At this time, Rayleigh was in his prime. After Roger's death, he lost his desire to explore and chose to stay in the Sabaody Archipelago with Shakky.
Three years ago, Roger completed his voyage across the Grand Line, conquering it and being revered worldwide as the "Pirate King." He became a pirate who simultaneously possessed wealth, fame, and power, the first and only captain in history to complete the "Grand Line," and the owner of the legendary treasure "ONE PIE CE."
Surprisingly, just one year later, Roger surrendered to the Navy and was publicly executed in Loguetown, leading to the disbandment of the Roger Pirates. After the disbandment, all crew members were relentlessly pursued by the Navy, especially Rayleigh, known as the "Right Hand of the King."
No one expected that "King Mori," whom the Navy had been searching for for two whole years, was peacefully residing right under the World Government's nose in the Sabaody Archipelago. "Actually, I'm more interested in the legendary Pirate King, Gol D. Roger. Unfortunately, I wasn't there when he died," Mashiro said with considerable regret.
Mashiro really wanted to meet Roger, after all, he was the one who started the "Great Pirate Era". It's just a pity that the year he became the Pirate King and the year he was executed and died both fell within the four years that Tengetsu skipped.
“Roger? That guy might be quite interested in you, such a unique dragonman,” Rayleigh said with a light laugh. Rayleigh couldn’t help but recall his first meeting with Roger.
Because his house had been burned down, Raleigh made a living in a small fishing boat he had stolen and wandered around the East China Sea.
Just then, Roger suddenly appeared, introduced himself, and asked Rayleigh, "Want to turn this world upside down with me?" Rayleigh initially thought the idea was ridiculous, but ultimately became Roger's first partner, and surprisingly, Roger actually succeeded. Thinking of this, Rayleigh couldn't help but smile nostalgically.
"Can you tell me about Roger? I'm very curious about his experience of becoming the Pirate King. Although you can find information about him outside, it's still not as good as the story of someone who experienced it firsthand." Mashiro sat down on a chair at the bar and asked.
Rayleigh looked at Mashiro, who responded with a smile. An invisible aura began to emanate from both of them. After a moment, Rayleigh turned his head first.
I picked up my glass and tapped it lightly on the bar, making a "thump, thump, thump" sound. That guy... where to even begin?
After an afternoon of storytelling, Mashiro learned about Roger's life from a third-person perspective and gained a clear understanding of several major events, including the God Valley Incident.
Sixteen years ago, when Roger was 39 years old, the Roger Pirates passed through God Valley.
God Valley is an island belonging to the Celestial Dragons. The Figarand family, a law enforcement family of the Celestial Dragons, resides here. The Rocks Pirates are known for their strength and their relationship with the Celestial Dragons. They mainly engage in the slave trade and have close ties with the Celestial Dragons.
The Navy stole the "treasure" from Beehive Island, and the Celestial Dragons decided to use it as a prize to start a hunting competition. The Rocks Pirates learned that the "treasure" would appear in God Valley, so they planned to go and seize it.
The Knights of God, the Navy, the Roger Pirates, and the Rocks Pirates. A chaotic battle ensued.
At God Valley, Garp and Roger unexpectedly meet. Due to the strength of the Rocks Pirates, the two decide to temporarily join forces to deal with Rocks. In the end, the Rocks Pirates are defeated, Garp is hailed as a "Marine Hero", the Roger Pirates get their revenge, and the Rocks Pirates fall apart.
The God Valley Incident ended, but its effects continue to this day. Roger becoming the Pirate King.
Six years ago, Roger, at the age of 49, unexpectedly learned that he had contracted an incurable disease and decided to embark on his final voyage on the Grand Line with his crew. When passing the lighthouse at Reverse Mountain, he invited Crocus to serve as the ship's doctor to ensure that his body could successfully complete the journey.
In the same year, Roger refused Shiki's request to join forces and rule the world. Enraged by the rejection, Shiki was furious, and a fierce battle ensued between the two pirate crews.
The battle is known as the Battle of Att Volt.
The Roger Pirates, who were originally at their wits' end, were saved by a sudden storm, while most of Shiki's pirate fleet was sunk to the bottom of the sea. It was a great victory and an important step forward for Roger to become the Pirate King.
Four years ago, Roger was 51 years old. The Roger Pirates encountered the Whitebeard Pirates and fought fiercely for three days without a clear winner.
In order to learn the true history, Roger poached members from the Whitebeard Pirates, even kneeling down to beg them. Later, Kozuki Oden joined the Roger Pirates.
Roger resumed his voyage and, upon arriving at Skypiea, used his ability to hear the "Voice of All Things" to sense and find the Golden Bell. Roger remarked that the "voice" within the stone was powerful and asked Kozuki Oden if it contained a powerful "force." Kozuki Oden replied that it contained a weapon called Poseidon.
Roger had Miyuki Kozuki carve a message on the steps of the Golden Bell that led the history of Skypiea to Laugh Tale.
After returning to the Blue Sea, the Roger Pirates headed to Fish-Man Island to seek the truth about Poseidon. Upon arriving at the island, they found Neptune guarding the gate with his soldiers. Neptune explained that the mermaid fortune teller Shirley had recently prophesied that "the gate to Fish-Man Island will be destroyed," so he was there to guard it. However, shortly after Roger and Neptune entered Fish-Man Island, the gate was destroyed by the Sea Kings.
After Roger met Shirley, Shirley told everyone that the reason the sea kings were causing such a ruckus was because they were waiting for the birth of the mermaid princess.
Three years ago, Roger was 52 years old. He arrived at Laugh Tale, and the Roger Pirates dominated the Grand Line, earning him the title of Pirate King. That same year, the Roger Pirates disbanded, with Roger being the first to leave the ship; the whereabouts of his remaining members remain unknown.
Two years ago, Roger said his last words to Rayleigh, "I will not die," and then ran to surrender to the Navy.
While imprisoned, Shiki the Golden Lion learned that Roger had been captured by the Navy. He single-handedly stormed Marineford, determined to see Roger and stop him.
According to Sengoku and Garp, Roger has become the Pirate King and surrendered himself to be executed in Loguetown in the East Blue.
Upon learning these words, Shiki the Golden Lion became even more enraged and fought against Sengoku and Garp. He was eventually defeated and imprisoned in the Great Prison, thus bringing the Golden Lion to an end.
In the same year, Roger was publicly executed in Loguetown, his birthplace in the East Blue. However, his last words before his execution sent people flocking to the sea, leading to a fierce competition among pirates vying for "One Piece" and establishing the "Great Pirate Era."
“What a legendary life. Thank you for your explanation. I have some things to attend to, but I'll come back later.” Mashiro said with a smile. “Also, I'm entrusting these three children to you.” Mashiro turned to Shakky and said.
“Of course.” Xia Qi looked at Mashiro with some surprise and replied. Then Mashiro left with Amatsuki Toki.
Mashiro and Toki left, and Shakky walked behind the bar, filled Rayleigh's glass, and said, "You actually said so much today, that really surprised me."
In Shakky's memory, Rayleigh had always been rather taciturn, and his attitude towards people, while not exactly cold, was certainly not as easy to talk to as it was today.
Taking the drink Shakky offered, Rayleigh asked, "What kind of person do you think she is?" "A very strange person, unfathomable," Shakky replied.
“She’s strong, incredibly strong. Even Whitebeard never gave me that feeling,” Rayleigh said, taking a sip of his drink.
Chapter Eighty-Four: You…
"Even you can't beat me?" Xia Qi asked.
Rayleigh nodded first, then shook his head slightly and said, "I don't know."
"It's unbelievable that there are people like this. Judging from her age, she's only in her teens," Xia Qi exclaimed.
"Those Celestial Dragons practically control the resources of the entire world. It's not a big deal if a few strong ones appear. Remember back in God Valley? There were several very strong Celestial Dragons on the island," Rayleigh said calmly.
“She’s really unfathomable.” Shakky lit a cigarette, took a light drag, and exhaled, instantly creating a cloud of smoke. “If I could, I’d really like to spar with her,” Rayleigh said with a smile.
The next day. Morning.
Mashiro lay asleep in bed. Tenzuki called her several times, but Mashiro showed no sign of getting up. Finally, at ten o'clock in the morning, Mashiro got out of bed.
Entering the bathroom and looking at herself in the mirror, Mashiro muttered to herself, "It's just laziness, but it won't last much longer, will it?"
After washing up, she went to the living room, where breakfast was placed on the table. This was bought by Tenzuki. After eating breakfast, Mashiro went to the study.
Since Mashiro and Toki had taken a lot of Berries with them when they left Mary Geoise, they were not short of money. The temporary house they rented was also very luxurious. In the study, Toki was reading a book attentively, as she rarely had the opportunity to read.
"Ryoma arrived under the setting sun, where a swordsman had been waiting for a long time. The two looked at each other and smiled. A moment later, the swordsman fell to the ground. Ryoma once again maintained his position as the world's greatest swordsman, unmatched by anyone..." When Tenzuki saw this, she frowned slightly. She didn't recognize the words that followed.
“Borrow Yue,” Mashiro’s voice came from behind Shiro.
"It can be interpreted as no one being able to replace him," Qi Bai said with a light laugh.
Guan Yueshi nodded, her ears turning slightly red, seemingly embarrassed because Zhenbai had noticed some unfamiliar characters.
