The Necromancer's Church Management Manual
Chapter 2 Infiltration
Garr's goal was clear: to gain a thousand followers to fight against the purge by Hades, the god of death.
If he had enough time, he would definitely choose to take it slow, develop the technology tree to make money, buy land, build churches, and then preach the God of Light. This would be the safest and most secure approach.
But he only has 89 days left, and time is so precious that he needs to race against time.
Considering the kingdom's situation and his own resources, Garr decided to take a risk and pull off a big heist.
With this in mind, Garr bit his fingertip, knelt on the floor, and used his blood as a medium to draw lines one after another, eventually outlining a complex necromancy summoning array.
Then, Gar's magic was instantly drained, but the magic circle continued to frantically drain his life force.
Finally, just as Garr was about to give up, the magic circle emitted a strange purple light, with black mist surging in its center.
Garr knew that the summoning had succeeded.
"Come forth, immortal Edmund!"
A skeleton clad in tattered, opulent armor and wearing a twisted crown slowly appeared.
This is the existence of the contract made by the original owner, Andrew, when he went to the Glory Sanctuary of the Kingdom of Slo to rob a tomb. He was the second monarch of the kingdom.
Logically speaking, such a powerful being would look down on the original owner's weakness, but this former king still agreed to the contract.
The characters in the manual jumped and rearranged rapidly, listing a piece of information.
[The Undead: Edmond Jean-Philippe de Bourbon]
【Contract: Undead Contract】
[Level: Lv51 (Master)]
[Status: Summoning Restricted (Peak Lv89 (Legendary))]
[Identity: Second monarch of the Kingdom of Slo, King of War]
[Faith: God of War]
[Class: Battle Dancer]
[Blessed by: Blade of Destruction, Necromancer's Blade, and Winter's Might]
[Inherent ability:]
【1. Thunder Steed: Summons Thunder, the warhorse that has accompanied Edmund in battle for many years】
[2. Decree: While Edmund exists, the contractor's undead creations are strengthened]
Gar wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, feeling the emptiness in his body, and shakily got up.
When a necromancer summons a contract far more powerful than himself, it is necessary to inscribe a summoning circle, consuming a large amount of magic power, and even life force.
Despite paying a heavy price, he, at only level 29, was able to summon such a powerful being as Edmund.
Edmund's eyes flickered with a pale, soulful fire, solemn and dignified.
"Praise be to death, Andrew."
"My name is now Gar Hawke," Gare corrected, pulling the identity card from his pocket.
"Your Majesty Edmund, I have obtained the dragon knight status you mentioned."
Next, it's time to head to your private vault and proceed with the next step.

As dusk settled and the stars filled the sky, the bells of the Temple of War rang, signaling six o'clock.
Nidhoggburg, a city built on a cliff, is one of the main cities of the Kingdom of Slo and the birthplace of the Dragon Knights.
Garr mounted Edmund's Thunderhorse and came to the foot of Nidhogg Castle, dismounting in a disheveled state, his stomach churning.
He had never ridden such a fast horse in his two lives.
He covered 500 kilometers from Gussenburg to Niederhorg Castle in just two hours.
only...
Garr looked at Thunder, and saw that it was all white bones, standing on a ghostly blue soul flame, sitting on it with absolute coolness.
But Thunder had no soft flesh; sitting on it felt like it was digging into his bones, and even with his iron butt, he couldn't take it after two hours.
"Andrew, riding a horse is a must for a warrior." Edmund dismounted and gently stroked Thunder.
"But I am a sorcerer," Gar corrected again. "My name is now Gar Hawke."
Edmund shook his head slightly: "The contract is such. In my eyes, you will always be Andrew Cardisia."
"Alright, whatever you say." Garr looked up at the towering city walls and asked:
"How do we get in next?"
When Garl asked a question, Edmund did not respond immediately, but instead searched for something in the dark ground.
He quickly made progress, easily pulling out a clod of earth to reveal a dark hole underneath.
"The first king built a secret passage when he built Nidhogg Castle, and it is very safe to enter from here."
"Oh! It's tunnel warfare." Gal realized.
Edmund handed the completed scroll to Gar, then walked over to Thunder.
"My treasure vault lies beneath the Dragon Fortress. Dragons are highly perceptive, so try to avoid using necromancy. Well then, Andrew, the rest of the journey is up to you."
Under Gal's watchful gaze, the two undead turned into black mist and vanished.
Gar tied the scroll to his waist, then took a deep breath, grabbed the two sides of the opening, and peered down into the secret passage.
The secret passage was pitch black, with only a damp, earthy smell. Fortunately, he had prepared a tinderbox beforehand, and as the firelight flickered, a narrow dirt path came into view.
He crouched down and began to probe forward. The secret passage led upwards, winding and twisting. After walking for about fifteen minutes, just when he was beginning to doubt his existence, he finally reached the end of the secret passage.
It was a rusty iron gate, and through the cracks, Gar could see what was happening outside.
This appears to be inside the walls of Nidhogg Castle, surrounded by neat brickwork, yet completely empty, with the only light coming from the glowing crystals on the walls.
Garr tried to pull on the iron gate, but it seemed to be locked from the outside and he couldn't open it.
At that moment, he heard two footsteps and immediately stopped moving, holding his breath and concentrating.
Fortunately, the two men's footsteps did not stop; they continued upwards.
This also made Gar abandon the idea of a violent breakthrough; who knows if anyone would hear it.
However, he was not without options.
Gar closed his eyes, sensing the magic within his body and guiding it. A necromancy summoning array slowly appeared beneath his feet, and a skeleton clad in leather armor emerged, enveloped in black mist.
The manual appeared and its pages were turned, listing information about the undead.
[Necromancer: Hans Ziegler]
【Contract: Necromancer's Contract】
[Rank: Lv25 (Gold)]
[Faith: The God of Death]
[Occupation: Assassin]
[Blessed with: Shadow Stealth, Blood Shadow Tracking]
Hans knelt on one knee: "Blessed is death, Lord Andrew."
"Hans, scout out the situation outside and unlock this door for me."
"Yes." Hans instantly transformed into a shadow, slipped through the gap, and skillfully unlocked the lock.
When Gal emerged from the secret passage, Hans had already surveyed the area and was kneeling on one knee, reporting to the leader:
"Lord Andrew, we are currently in a tower. A few dozen meters outside the door is the dragon camp, where there are dozens of dragons. There are also four knights on the top of the tower."
"Looks like we're caught in the middle now."
Garl pondered for a moment, looking at his own attire. The tattered black robe he had picked up along the way had been stained yellowish-brown by dust in the secret passage just now.
He looked exactly like a beggar. If he were to swagger out like this, he would definitely be seen as an intruder, either getting carried into the air by a flying dragon and experiencing a freefall, or being locked up in prison again...
Going straight out was definitely not an option, so Gal looked up at the ceiling, listening intently to the conversation coming from above.
He was waiting for the right opportunity.
