"you!"

The Wild Hunt mage gripped his staff tightly, wishing he could smash the presumptuous commoner before him to death with a single blow.

On the contrary, the Wild Hunt general could actually understand Common Tongue, but he simply disdained to speak it.

They made no comment whatsoever when the Witcher belittled their squad.

In his eyes, only strength is truth. The fact that the Witcher could kill those warriors can only prove two things: first, the Witcher is strong enough; second, those warriors are too weak.

That's it.

So, after regaining his senses, he only glanced at the limbs scattered on the ground before looking away, as if giving them another glance would be a waste of time.

It wasn't by nature. As the vanguard general of the Wild Hunt, Scrimgeour initially believed in the supremacy of strength, but he would also feel saddened by the death of his comrades.

However, the Wild Hunt has no need for such cowardly emotions.

Soon, like the other Wild Hunt warriors, he became cold and numb from the endless fighting.

In his eyes, the survival of the El race was paramount; he cared nothing for the life or death of anyone else, including himself.

For example, if faced with a desperate situation, killing 40% of the Els would allow the remaining 60% to survive; he could eliminate the minority without batting an eye.

Only living Wild Hunt warriors are valuable soldiers; as for dead Wild Hunt warriors... they are nothing.

Li De didn't think his actions were particularly abrupt. After killing so many people, the possibility of sitting down to negotiate was almost zero.

This guy in front of me is decked out in pay-to-win gear and looks like a mentally unstable lunatic. Who knows if he might change his mind at the last minute?

Those words I just said were deliberately meant to provoke them, so that I could take advantage of the chaos.

Olivia noticed Li De's gesture and realized that he wanted them to leave first. She quickly turned to the side and gestured with her eyes for Orn, who was slumped on the ground, to leave first. She also subtly pointed her finger towards the direction of the portal.

However, the elderly druid Ornn, exhausted from overcasting, collapsed on the pile of rubble, his eyelids so heavy he could barely lift them. He could hardly perceive her hints, let alone stay awake.

This subtle movement did not escape the eyes of the Wild Hunt mage, who was already keeping a close eye on the three. Sensing something amiss, he immediately lowered his voice and reported in encrypted ancient Elvish to the Wild Hunt general: "My lord, they are secretly plotting their escape!"

But to his utter surprise, the seemingly young female elf in the crowd also knew the ancient Elven language.

Olivia's expression changed drastically, and she cried out to the witcher, "We've been exposed!"

Without the slightest hesitation, Li De immediately turned around, grabbed the old druid by the collar, and with his other hand, tightly tucked Olivia under his arm. He then strode off toward the green portal not far away.

Rushing to the teleportation portal, he flicked his wrist, throwing both of them into the churning teleportation vortex, one in each hand.

After doing all this, he slowly turned around, leaning against the portal, to face the many enemies who were eager to attack.

It's as if it's saying: Come on, let's kill your dad!

The Berserker's voice was icy.

"The El's teleportation technology far surpasses your imagination. As long as this portal exists, we can pinpoint their location! What you've painstakingly protected will soon be destroyed because of your foolishness!"

Li De was too lazy to explain that "he didn't care about the lives or deaths of these elves."

Anyway, he and the Wild Hunt were already sworn enemies, and as long as the Wild Hunt was unhappy, he felt completely at ease.

He raised an eyebrow, his tone flippant: "What if I could destroy this portal?"

Upon hearing this, the Wild Hunt mage immediately let out a disdainful sneer.

"With your third-rate tricks, you think you can destroy a magically reinforced, fixed teleportation portal? Wishful thinking!"

Li De took in the Wild Hunt mage's disdain, a playful smile playing on his lips. He placed his right hand on the cold, heavy frame of the portal and softly uttered a single word: "Expro."

After a brief delay, the immense magical power erupted instantly.

The seemingly indestructible door frame shattered at one corner, and the green teleportation vortex trembled violently, threatening to collapse at any moment.

The Wild Hunt mage's smile vanished, replaced by a bloodshot roar: "You dare!"

The sarcasm in Li De's eyes grew even stronger. Dare? What wouldn't he dare to do!

"Expro! Expro! Expro!"

The second, third, and fourth explosive spells were unleashed in quick succession without any interval.

The portal shattered completely after the third shot, and the fourth shot blasted most of the portal frame into countless fragments.

Just as he was about to mock the Wild Hunt mage, a dull thud suddenly rang out.

The figure, dressed in a plain white dress, collapsed heavily onto the ground in front of him.

Li De stared in astonishment at Olivia, who had rushed back at the last second before the portal completely collapsed. His eye twitched violently, and he blurted out, "Why are you back again?!"

Olivia clutched her chest, which had hit the ground first, her brows furrowed in pain, but she stubbornly looked up at him: "My people, I will protect them myself. You don't need to die for me."

She pursed her lips, her mind a jumble of thoughts.

The moment she stepped through the portal, she thought to herself, "I'll live one day at a time. The new world is so big. Even if the Wild Hunt catches up, it will take them a long time to find them. At worst, I can escape with the Witcher."

Two seconds passed, but instead of the Witcher appearing, the portal began to vibrate violently and was on the verge of breaking apart.

She immediately realized that Li De intended to destroy the gate and cover their retreat.

At that moment, she didn't have time to think. Her body reacted before her reason, and she rushed back, risking being torn to pieces by the unstable portal.

The moment she rushed into the portal, she felt a pang of regret, but once she landed and saw her figure facing the Wild Hunt army alone, that regret vanished.

Just as she said, her people should not have an innocent person lose their life because of her.

"I can cast a teleportation spell one more time. You'd better run. The Lone Star Tribe doesn't owe you anything."

Olivia braced herself against the ground, and magic began to gather at her fingertips.

The Berserker mage, already enraged to the extreme, had already completed the spell's charging. The white beam of light was as fast as lightning, and the Berserker general gripped his greatsword, with ghostly figures surging towards him like a tidal wave.

With lightning speed, Li De grabbed Olivia's slender waist and narrowly avoided the magical attack.

He glanced down at the pale-faced but determined elven lady in his arms, then suddenly grinned, waved to the Wild Hunt, and bid farewell in fluent Elvish: "No need to see me off, everyone!"

Before he could finish speaking, he reached into his waist pouch and pulled out an antique stone badge, infusing it with magic from his fingertips.

In an instant, a dazzling red light burst forth, enveloping the two tightly, and then they vanished completely from their spot in the next moment.

The greatsword and the ghost grazed past the afterimages of the two disappearing figures, but they couldn't even touch a single hair on their heads.

The Wild Hunt general gripped the hilt of his sword tightly, his anger, fueled by the mockery, almost bursting forth from beneath his black armor.

Damn Witcher!

He can clearly speak Elvish!
