Kunlun—Kunxu's most trusted descendant and deputy—stood silently before the altar. His massive body, somewhere between a whale and a shadow, almost blended into the surrounding darkness, except for his enormous single eye, which reflected the faint light flowing within the crystals, cold and focused.

The information flow transmitted through the crystal was clearer and more "vivid" than ever before. It was no longer a simple energy fluctuation or intermittent thoughts, but a mixture of the unique spiritual frequency and biomagnetic field disturbances of the mottled deep blue sea, as well as a trace of... a ghostly purple "noise" belonging to the void that Kunlun and his people found both familiar and dangerous.
