Super God Academy: Kabuto

Chapter 125 Grandma's Truth

Lin Yu returned from his walk and, as soon as he stepped into the courtyard, saw He Xi lounging on a recliner, taking a nap. The setting sun cast a warm golden glow on her silver hair. Hearing footsteps, she lazily opened one of her icy blue eyes, glanced at him, and spoke in a voice that was still hoarse and sweetly sleepy:

"I'm back, honey~"

"Mmm." Lin Yu responded, walked over to the recliner next to her, and lay down comfortably. He casually asked, "Why are you alone? Honey, where's Keisha?"

"I don't know, where did they go?" He Xi shifted to a more comfortable position, still with her eyes closed, and lazily asked, "What are we having for dinner tonight?"

Lin Yu recalled the "memorable" lunch with lingering fear, but immediately declared, "I'll eat whatever my wife makes!"

Upon hearing this, He Xi finally opened her eyes fully, turned her head, and looked at him with a knowing gaze, a self-deprecating yet playful smile on her lips:

"Forget it. I know you don't like it, and I'm pretty self-aware of my cooking skills." She gave a soft snort. "Even the tomboy ran away in fear, so you don't need to force yourself."

Lin Yu, somewhat embarrassed that his little scheme had been exposed, rubbed his nose and quickly stood up: "Okay, you found out. I'll go cook now."

When Lin Yu finished his work in the kitchen and brought out several plates of delicious-looking home-cooked dishes, the sun had almost completely sunk below the horizon. A soft light illuminated the courtyard.

"Honey, it's time to eat," he called out.

He Xi happily got up, and the two had just sat down at the stone table when the space in the courtyard distorted in a way that was characteristic of a wormhole. Keisha, dressed in comfortable casual clothes, stepped out gracefully, her demeanor perfectly poised.

As soon as she appeared, He Xi's teasing, drawn-out voice drifted over:

"Hey~ Busy person, you're back just in time for lunch? Finished your 'busy' work?"

Keisha paused, a barely perceptible hint of embarrassment flashing across her face. Her eyes darted left and right, clearly trying to quickly concoct a suitable excuse in her mind to explain that she had "just happened" to finish dealing with "urgent matters" during mealtime.

However, before she could think of an explanation, the air around her rippled again, a gray light screen unfolded, and Tsukasa Kadoya walked out as naturally as if he were returning home. He very consciously pulled out a chair, sat down, picked up a set of chopsticks that had been prepared for him, and looked at Keisha, who was still standing, and asked in confusion:

"Hey? Aren't you going to eat? What are you standing there for?"

Lin Yu looked at the two people who seemed to have arranged to appear one after the other, and smiled helplessly: "Let's eat first."

A dinner with a subtle atmosphere but excellent taste ended with Keisha and Tsukasa in silence and satisfaction.

Setting down his chopsticks, Lin Yu looked at Tsukasa Kadoya, who was eating contentedly, and asked, "Why are you here again? Didn't you like the food at Skyblade No. 7?"

Tsukasa Kadoya leaned back in his chair, waving his hand dismissively. "Don't even mention it. I'm sick of the food over there. It's nothing new. How can communal cooking compare to your private cooking? It's not even as good as what you make."

Hearing this evaluation, especially the word "delicious," Lin Yu seemed to have a switch flipped. Under He Xi's knowing smile, Keisha's helpless gaze, and Kadoya Tsukasa's curious stare, he slowly raised his right index finger and pointed to the sky.

Upon seeing his signature starting stance, almost everyone simultaneously had the same thought: "Good grief! Here we go again!"

Lin Yu, with a solemn expression, spoke clearly and firmly in a tone imbued with boundless wisdom and conviction:

Grandma said—

"There is something that can surpass any top-quality ingredient or seasoning..."

"That's the one who makes food," his gaze gently swept over He Xi, then swept over everyone, "the one who infuses it with love!"

The courtyard fell silent for a moment. He Xi's smile grew even gentler, Keisha sighed helplessly, and Kadoya Tsukasa, after a brief moment of stunned silence, let out a blatant laugh:

"Pfft—hahaha! You...you really can pull off something like this anytime, anywhere!"
